Royce Shields: Upon arrival the place was really nice. Once seated we placed our orders. We waited about 45 mins before getting the two appetizers that were ordered. After about another 20 mins or so the waitress approached the table and informed us that she placed the order incorrectly(Unfortunately she didn’t provide us a name so can’t exactly who she was) but when asked about how long it would be before the food would come, she stated “well you ordered 3 steaks, rolled her eyes and walked off”(mind you all the steaks were 6oz) she also brought me a child’s orange juice and when she returned for refills I asked for more juice and she stated “well they said they ran out of juice”, as if that’s my fault. She could have said this and I could have ordered something else! We then we asked for a manager and asked the same about time frame on receiving food, because now we’ve waited over an hour, and with no response. He then stated “you did order steaks and your orders all needed extra accommodations, but not going to go back and forth with you we are working on getting it out to you, it’s only been placed 20 mins ago and walked off”…I am a manager myself and never would treat guest in this manner we then as a party of 9 decided to leave. It was very clear that other tables were a priority over others, but even as nice as the place displayed its self to be, we will not return to this location. There were guest that arrived after us and who spoke to us outside of the restaurant as they waited for the rest of their party, they got in received food and was leaving within the time of us asking about receiving our order. Ruined the birthday girls day for sure, currently looking for another place to eat. Worst visit ever!!!!
Lovey Carvin: My family of (9) went here for brunch and celebrating a birthday, while we arrived @ 1130 for our reservation was promptly seated at 1139(no problem) however once seated the sever(which I don’t recall her name) took almost 20mins to greet us! Took our drink orders took a while returning with drinks, promptly after we placed our food order roughly 12:15, waited patiently server returned to our table @ 12:40 stating it was a mishaps between her putting in the order & the kitchen staff! Never apologized for the mess up! I then approached the manager adv him of the issue.He begin to tell me we ordered steaks and etc, mindful of that however the fact the serve & manager both responded w/attitude’s & unprofessional mannerUNACCEPTABLE, clear to see In the environment was prioritized by color. A family bigger then our party arrived and was seated same time as our party & was leaving and served when we decided to leave the establishment.Sadden first time here and will never return

Hannah Taylor: We met some family here for brunch a few weeks back and it was really disappointing. I had been looking forward to it for a very long time and heard great things. Our service was okay and the place was beautiful but there was long periods in between being checked on and the food was extremely underwhelming. I got the diablo and it was okay but wasn't really spicy nor had a lot of flavor and my boyfriend's french toast looked unappetizing. Definitely not worth the $70+ I spent on the two of us... Maybe we should have come for dinner instead.

Julianne Rabal: This was my first visit to any Capital Grille location. I was celebrating a college graduation with high hopes of having a great experience with my family. Unfortunately that was not the case. We had to wait 45 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. The food was decent, however our server was extremely rude and had an awful attitude the entire evening really spoiling our night. Brett would take our plates and drinks without asking if we were not finished - even when there were still a large sip left. He did not really acknowledge our special occasion. We were expecting much better service for spending $$$$.

Student of the Word of God: Kept hearing about this great place near the City market, so my wife and I decided to go. #1, we were sat in the corner near some dead plants so maybe that’s what caused the flies and gnats to invade our space. #2, our server wasn’t too pleasant. #3, a gnat flew into my food, when I tried to get my server’s attention, she walked right past me. D B: Our group had a fun brunch experience, and I look forward to going back. We started with the cinnamon roll which has bacon pieces on top; it was good but the roll was a bit dry. The biscuits and gravy were great, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the mimosa tower, which was pretty good. Lastly, the service was excellent and our meals came out on a reasonable amount of time.

Diane McKinney: One of our favorite Sunday Brunch spots! We like to sit outside and this summer they have added a shade cover so it's more comfortable out there. All of the food we've had has been amazing. There is a regular Sunday brunch menu as well as a special menu specific to that day. I was dissapointed that they had run out of the ingredients to make the Mimosa special so I was forced to drink a regular one :(

Nancy Fowler: Great date night destination. The atmosphere is quiet and very relaxed with great service. We both enjoyed the filet. The horseradish pepper mentioned in the description is so mild it doesn't really need to be mentioned on the menu. The staff was kind about celebrating a birthday without making a scene. The butter cake was amazing and rich enough to be shared with was perfect. Only thing we would have liked better would be hearing the live jazz. It's barely noticeable from most locations in the restaurant. Also, we usually love to share a Caesar for our appetizer and no Caesar is offered here. But overall, fabulous food and great service!

Casiano Trujillo: I decided to go to Chaz for my wife and I's 33rd wedding anniversary. We have heard good things and was excited to try Chaz for the first time. When we arrived, they couldn't find our reservation, I showed them my conformation, and they apologized for missing it. Because they couldn't find the reservation, the sat us down on this tiny table, and made us feel they had to fit us in. I first want to say the food was good, but we never initially received our appetizer. We asked about the appetizer, which they brought it out to us with no charge, but it was after we had already had dinner. I wanted this to be a special night, and all we received. were apologies over and over again. We had to ask for water refills, it was just not the evening we had planned. For such a nice place, it was a mess.To top it off, we valleted our new car, only to find out that they damaged our car. Now we have wait to see if they will fix it. Not the anniversary I wish we had.
J.T Walker: My wife and I came for dinner on 9-30-22 and had one of the best dining experiences ever, from the drinks to the service which was incredible and the food. We had appetizers of Calamari and Shrimp Cocktail and for entrées my wife had the Duke Wellington and I had the Steak Diane and all were cooked to perfection, I used to be their Executive Chef a long time ago and the Chef in charge Chef Savanah let me look at the kitchen and how it has changed. We definitely plan on coming back and enjoying many more meals there and I sorry that I can't remember our servers name but she was awesome.

Alpha Landingham: Staff was on point. The restaurant space is rather small and feels kind of crowded. The decoration is art deco, strong 1920s glitz theme. The food was solid standard fare for a four-star hotel. Nothing bad just nothing all that special. I got the steak and my dad got the fish. On this last visit, it was definitely a miss. TRAIN YOUR SERVERS! I like Friday nights for live music and good drinks. If not for the consistently good food, I would not return. Awkward.As the host was seating us, we mentioned to her that it was my birthday. After being seated, our patronizing male server came to the table and asked me, “I heard it’s your birthday, hun?” I’m an adult woman turning 37 — not seven — “hun.”The server then proceeded to tell us that the restaurant was out of spinach dip and okra appetizers. He then asked to see my husband’s menu because he said he didn’t remember all the other items they were out of. He further said they were also out of the salmon entree and had no fish for the market fish entree. I’m a pescatarian, and so I was left with absolutely no entree that I could even eat.We left and went to Lidia’s where they were able to serve everything published on their menu and had a respectful server and delicious food. Five stars to Lidia’s!As we were leaving the American Reserve to go to Lidia's, the host and the hotel front desk staff person tried giving us coupons for other restaurants in the area. They oddly didn’t try to give us a coupon for their own business. The host told us that if we would come back next week, the American Reserve would have a new menu. They can’t even get a grip on their existing menu — why should we expect them to properly handle a new menu?

They have a much wider variety of alcohol than they do food. Limited menu and I have food allergies so I could literally only order a grilled cheese sandwich and it was bland. I will not return. I can go elsewhere with more menu items and for a much cheaper price. I literally spent $100 for 3 glasses of wine, a grilled cheese, and a bowl of soup.

Shiona Deliozar: We had our company Christmas party here with a large group of 15 and the setting was perfect for Christmas. The cabins and igloos outside were decorated so festively and the service was great throughout. I really enjoyed their chips and meatballs and their holiday cocktails with all the fun names. The views were really pretty at night with the fire on the deck. Felt cozy and was. The service was great throughout.
Luke Payne: This place used to be great but as of a few moments ago it is one of only two restaurants I've walked out of. We sat for over 30 minutes waiting on appetizers and the only time anyone came to check up was when he thought he was at a different table. We couldn't get a second round of drinks and had to chase him down for the original order. Slwe we're also one of only 3 tables seated in the dining room. My husband's dirty martini was served in a PLASTIC rocks glass... even though I saw they had martini glasses....and no we weren't out by the pool.. we were in the upper level on a couch. Also, do not order a spicy margarita. Thank goodness I asked how they are prepared...I guess they ran out of jalapeños so they are using tobacco sauce 🤮... if you don't have the ingredients.... just don't offer it. For an up scale bar you would think they would serve their drinks in actual glasses and not plastic.. even the beer was served in a disposable solo cup.

She was very thoughtful making sure we enjoyed our visit.The Chef brought the food to our table and explained what each dish was that he prepared. The Manager brought the dessert to our table. Manager was distant and somewhat non-communitive compared to most managers we come in contact with. When I asked a question concerning the dessert he wasn't very pleasant as if he was too busy and didn't want to talk at all. There were no other quest. Poor customer service and example for his employees. I will go back due to the waitress great service.
Jennifer Johnson: My boyfriend and I visited this bar on a Saturday night. The whole place was packed and they only had one waitress working. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and ended up getting frustrated so we’d go get our own drinks from the bar. The service was absolutely unacceptable. Considering how classy this hotel is, I expected a better bar experience. I am very disappointed.

Cherrelle Crawford: We came here for Mothers Day brunch and I was truly disappointed. There wasn’t much of a selection on the buffet. No waffles, pancakes or crepes of any kind. The potato’s were cold and the only thing that I really enjoyed was the omelette station. At first the waitress seemed nice but you could tell he was overwhelmed because we would have to keep reminding her about drinks, she messed up our bills.

Todd Hall: My wife and I stopped in for lunch this past Saturday at around 3:30pm. There were three other occupied tables in the restaurant. We were sat at a table that looked toward the bar. The server quickly came over and took our drink orders. As time passed and no drinks, we looked toward the bar and noticed that the bartender was on her phone, then switched to creating schedules for the following week, and then stopped to speak to other employees. In the meantime...no drinks. Embarrassed, the server came over and apologized, and said we'd have our order shortly. A few minutes later he showed up with our drinks (glass of wine and a beer) and apologized that the bartender did not provide a glass - he'd go back and get one. Now the bartender was on the house phone and was totally oblivious of servers & customers. Disgusted, my wife went over to the bar and picked up a glass from a stack of glasses and returned to the table. Immediately, the bartender shouted.. "Mam..you cant do that!" and literally ran out from behind the bar, grabbed a glass and said "This drink needs a specific glass!" and began to berate us (at volumn level 10) in front of customers and employees. My wife said "You're getting loud...getting loud" And the bartender screamed "Oh..I can get louder!!" After she left, the server, who was mortified, came over and apologized over and over again.He then went over to notify the manager of the situation and told us he did so. Never once did the manager acknowledge us, or address the issue. Needless to say, we made a point to speak with him before we left.We have been regular customers of this restaurant and were/are outright appauled at the gross unprofessionalism of both the bartender...and the Manager. We will not eat there again.
