Steve Smith: I commissioned Dara (on short notice) to make a carrot cake for my wife's birthday. The result was beautifully and artistically rendered. The first cutting produced the inviting aroma of a freshly made hand crafted delicacy. Taste and texture followed suit, from the creamy frosting showing no signs of the flat, overly sweet affect of lesser ingredients, to the rich, moist cake itself which was a winning example of what you, dear reader, may expect should you be lucky enough to experience one of her creations. Highly recommended.I should note in the accompanying photo that the decorations were added by myself prior to serving.

Alex I: The Littlest Bake Shop is fantastic. My girlfriend and I have been going here for the past four years despite living 20~30 minutes away. Iris is a uniquely talented chef/baker, has been nothing but kind, and goes above and beyond to accommodate our allergies. Staff has always been super friendly. I seriously feel that this should be a nationwide chain -- we've never had anything there that wasn't absolutely incredible.
Ruthie Wu: Very sweet and friendly staff. I got three cupcakes and they were a bit dense for my taste, but I’d like to come back and try some of the other things on the menu.

Wei Styer (Wu): Super cute little gluten-free and vegan bake shop! They change out their flavors, so there are new, exciting things to try - and the girls who work there are very friendly about offering suggestions! We got (from left) the lemon bar, green tea & chamomile, and mint chip cupcakes, which were all great!The lemon was lightly flavored and not overpowering, and the mint chip was similarly balanced. They were all moist cakey, despite being vegan and gluten free.There are a few small tables with seating inside, and there's an outdoor area that I imagine has seating outdoors when the weather is nicer. Very cute and sweet little bake shop, literally and figuratively.

Greer Gerni: This gluten-free vegan bakery is a dream come true. Every single person at my house on Christmas Eve agreed the cardamom rose cupcake was the best of their lives...you should have heard the squeals of surprise when I told them they were also gf and vegan. This is not a place to "settle on" if you have dietary restrictions and want a treat. It's a place for something really special. Everything is so carefully made and the flavors are delicately balanced. I ate a quarter of a cupcake FIVE days after picking it up and it was still moist and delicious. As a bonus, they have strict health and safety precautions for increased accessibility!

I can’t tell you how much it meant to me to share a cake, particularly with my uncle who is so used to saying “I can’t have that.” Iris worked with me to create something special that would meet my family’s needs.Pictured is a mint chocolate cake that is made with tapioca starch and magic. I’m not personally gluten free or vegan myself, but my whole family and I loved it. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Hayden Walls: The two cupcakes I ordered were good except I got a HAIR in one of them and it was disgusting. You couldn't go inside and the lady told me it was going to only take a few minutes because I ordered a latte and two premade cupcakes, but I stood outside in the cold for 10 to 15 minutes.

Cindy Burbank: I dont know how good there service or cakes are. I am so offended by the cake with the VULGER language advertised on their front page, I will not do business with a business that has this I dont care attitude.
Chameka Charles: I came across Cake-A-Boo while trying to search for a cake bakery that would be able to make me a Betty Boo cake for my birthday. I was very impressed with the service on how they made and designed it just like the photo I sent. The cake tasted amazing, and all of my family and friends who attended my birthday party were saying how delicious it was and tasted. I definitely will be reaching out to Cake-A-Boo in the future for specialized cakes.

We were in KC for the weekend only, so I’m hoping there are plans to bring a Cake-a-Boo 2 to St. Louis someday soon! We threw a surprise birthday party for my best friend and I have her a little detail as to colors and what she would like and without even knowing bestfriend she nailed it! There were some hiccups along the way with technically computer errors but she worked with me with only realizing within a couple days that I needed it that the email didn’t go through and still went above an beyond! So lovely and the sweetest person I have had the pleasure working with! Very understanding and caring I just... words cannot describe how amazed I was with the cake, the service just everything was great! Most importantly the birthday girl was more the surprise and more than over joyed! I could not be happier! I already had the cake topper picked out but even without it, it would have been stunning!

Janet Judd: This bakery was a wonderful surprise. It didn't captivate us at first, but we gave it a try and ordered things anyway. Their fruity pebbles large donut holes we amazing; we are still talking about them hours later. Their cinnamon roll bread is already gone, along with the brioche cream cheese cinnamon rolls we picked up. I purchased one of their dark chocolate chip sea salt cookie- one of the softest best cookies I have eaten.

Chen Jan: Best bakery in middle part of America! I Ake bread and pastry at home, so I can tell they really love and try to make something special and different. Earl grey bun is full of flavor. The seasonal filling croissant, instead of cream cheese filling, which is the most common filling is America, is filled with lemon flavored custard. And Kouign aman, tastes kind of like the famous cronut of Dominique in NYC. Ciabatta is perfect, crispy skin and moisture inside. With those charming holes, it’s been rising for a long time. The service is also perfect and sweet. Will absolutely be back when I am in KC.

Rachel Strom-Norris: Rating on the food: 5/5. As my family and I travel the world, we always search for the best food. I would rate this one in the top 3 my husband and I have ever had. We will absolutely stop by again when we are in the area!Plan to pick up and go. There are very few seats and the bathroom was clean and served it's purpose, but tiny and uninviting. There is not room to change a diaper in there and my toddler and I had to do a crazy little dance so that there was room for us to be in there together.

They were moist all the way through and the flavor was amazing.Lastly, a friendly smile and customer-centric attitude always tops things off. Pictures don't do it justice. Everything from the edible jolly rancher crystal that lit up in the dark, to the hand-built rhinestone cake plate, the mini spotlights and realistic intricate details made this cake over the top. Janis Budenz: She makes the most amazing looking cakes I have ever seen. Creations of art not just cute cakes. Add to that she uses buttercream frosting throughout most of the cake. And her cakes are incredible. They taste every bit as good as they look. Only problem is they are so realistic many times people hate to cut them. She has done many cakes for me. Several were English and French Bulldogs. They looked real. She doesn't charge nearly enough for the work she does. Very affordable. Only wish didn't live so far away from her now. I miss being able to order Kim's cakes.

I've had the pleasure of visiting The Pantry for a good breakfast on the weekends and working with them to cater the dessert for my wedding. Both experiences have been out of this world. When we visit for breakfast on the weekends, the variety of goodies available is huge and sooooo tasty. Im sad I only started visiting in 2022! As for them catering for my wedding, what a GREAT experience!! Dee was so responsive to my emails and I never felt stressed picking desserts or going over the details. She delivered an amazing assortment of desserts and everything was delicious and beautiful. I had so many people ask where the dessert was from. Can't recommend The Pantry enough for casual eating or catering!
