McLain's Bakery: what do users think?
Kelsey Oviedo: I’ve never had anything I didn’t like from McLains. The Market Wrap is 10/10 and my absolute favorite. Super friendly and efficient staff.
Ana Chavarria: Good vibe. It is my first time getting Matcha Latte and I couldn't taste anything... I had to put stevia to at least feel that I was drinking sweet cold milk. Salmon toast was ok but nothing impressive. Chocolate cookie had a good texture. I had a good time while having breakfast and reading. They have a good seating area. So overall it is ok, I was not impressed with the food. Maybe I'll come back to try something else.
Audrey Kuhn: Usually love this place but as someone with food allergies, I wish they would change ingredients on menu when they update items. I can’t eat onions and usually their chicken salad doesn’t have onions but I just ordered it (I’ve had in hundreds of times before ) and it has onions all over it. That ingredient isn’t on their ingredient list for it.
Emily Frank: In town for a week for business. Literally went every morning for breakfast and every afternoon for lunch! Absolutely delicious!! Friendly people, cute atmosphere, and great selection of awesome food!! Wish I lived in Kamsas City just for this place ❤️
Manny Cáceres: Great experience. The food and coffee were very good and the variety of pastry is awesome, the staff extremely nice and helpful, and the place is very nice as well, specially the outdoors sitting area. We will definitely be coming back.
Rhonda Dolan: Excellent food, baked goods, cakes and coffee. Always a good experience.
John LaRoe: For breakfast: the Pepper Jack burrito (which is spicy) or the Plain & Simple (bacon & eggs on toast & not spicy).Top it off with a chocolate croissant or fruit Danish. Also highly recommended: the coffee cakes, great pick for quick to-go desserts.(update, 24 May 2023:)Every bit as good as ever in their reconfigured, more comfortable space. The coffee may even be better (and it's always been good).Had the Plain & Simple & a Blueberry Danish this morning. Great stuff!
trini nl: Cutest little spot! Matcha latte could have been warmer. Service was great.
John Guzmán: Excellent food and service, the salad was generous and delicious, you can't beat fresh bread.
Karen Gleason: Ordered 5 different combinations of cupcakes and frosting for our wedding. All were delicious and the staff was great to work with! Highly recommend them!
Ping Robert (黃苹): Good food and ambience. I wanna come here during non peak hours.
CDub 1962: We love McClains. Been going there for over 30 years! All of their danishes are the same formula and as delicious as they were back when the McClains owned it. One thing that bothers me though is they always run out of sticky buns before 930 am and that's the way it's been ever since the new owners took over. That shouldn't happen. Simply make more of them so they last till 11 please. We will always keep buying their danishes because there is nothing like them anywhere.
Norris Laffitte: Delicious fresh food. Good service.
Andrew Jones: Great food, great coffee, great atmosphere.
kurt anderson: Excellent selection. Don't come if you're on a diet, you never make it out
Jennifer Kallias: DELECTABLE pastries!!! Go early to get the best selection.
Gerry Lynn: We ordered a chocolate croissant, a lemon blueberry scone and a raspberry danish. They were all good, especially my personal favorite chocolate croissant. Would definitely go again the next time we're in town!
Zoë: The food, atmosphere, and sweets are one of the bests in all of KC!!! This Mocha Cupcake was literally the best cupcake I have ever had!
Brenda Bigbee: So much in pastries and cakes.😁
Paige Rausch: Best breakfast burritos, amazing quiches, and the brown sugar pop tart is to die for. Staff is friendly and welcoming, they even know my name because I go so frequently!
Rino Sbriglia: One of the best birthday‘s cake we have had for our son! Impressive. Whomever worked on the cake did an awesome job. So happy, we’ll definitely repeat next year (hopefully with another theme)… thank you

The Littlest Bake Shop: what do users think?
Alex I: The Littlest Bake Shop is fantastic. My girlfriend and I have been going here for the past four years despite living 20~30 minutes away. Iris is a uniquely talented chef/baker, has been nothing but kind, and goes above and beyond to accommodate our allergies. Staff has always been super friendly. I seriously feel that this should be a nationwide chain -- we've never had anything there that wasn't absolutely incredible.
Ruthie Wu: Very sweet and friendly staff. I got three cupcakes and they were a bit dense for my taste, but I’d like to come back and try some of the other things on the menu.
Christal Matheson: Great experience! We got a pizza and the tofu burnt ends and both were amazing! There’s a nice patio to enjoy your food on a nice day. We’ll definitely be back very soon.
Sarah Watney: Wow these cakes are a work of art!
Boone Riddle: This place is INCREDIBLE. It's so special that the need for reviews is almost laughable. The treats are to die for. The coffee is fantastic. The staff is adorable and friendly and engaging. The decor and ambiance and vibe are all just the cutests. Go fall in love.
Elliott Seymour: Charming neighborhood vegan bakery!! Highly recommended!
David Donaldson: Awesome place and very nice people.
Ash Humber: Enter into a world of enchantment at this charming gluten-free and vegan bakery. The moment you cross the threshold, you will be transported into a whimsical fairy realm, where every detail is designed to delight the senses. The owner and staff have created a truly magical space, where delicious food and an inclusive atmosphere come together to create a truly unique and welcoming experience. These sweet treats are a true work of art, with creative flavor combinations and beautifully decorated frosting. One item that I simply cannot recommend enough is the BLT sandwich, a culinary masterpiece that features smoky flavors any KC citizen can admire.Whether you're in the mood for a sweet treat, a delicious lunch, or the perfect cake for a special occasion, this bakery is a must-visit destination. So come on in and experience it for yourself!
Wei Styer (Wu): Super cute little gluten-free and vegan bake shop! They change out their flavors, so there are new, exciting things to try - and the girls who work there are very friendly about offering suggestions! We got (from left) the lemon bar, green tea & chamomile, and mint chip cupcakes, which were all great! The lemon was lightly flavored and not overpowering, and the mint chip was similarly balanced. They were all moist cakey, despite being vegan and gluten free. There are a few small tables with seating inside, and there's an outdoor area that I imagine has seating outdoors when the weather is nicer. Very cute and sweet little bake shop, literally and figuratively.
Anne Lindsey: Friendly service and nice atmosphere. I had The Missouri. I am pretty picky about tofu scramble, but I'm glad I tried theirs. It was delicious. Will definitely visit again.
Greer Gerni: This gluten-free vegan bakery is a dream come true. Every single person at my house on Christmas Eve agreed the cardamom rose cupcake was the best of their lives...you should have heard the squeals of surprise when I told them they were also gf and vegan. This is not a place to "settle on" if you have dietary restrictions and want a treat. It's a place for something really special. Everything is so carefully made and the flavors are delicately balanced. I ate a quarter of a cupcake FIVE days after picking it up and it was still moist and delicious. As a bonus, they have strict health and safety precautions for increased accessibility!
Darcy Besch: I placed an order for a Christmas celebration with my family, which has a wildly long list of allergies. I can’t tell you how much it meant to me to share a cake, particularly with my uncle who is so used to saying “I can’t have that.” Iris worked with me to create something special that would meet my family’s needs.Pictured is a mint chocolate cake that is made with tapioca starch and magic. I’m not personally gluten free or vegan myself, but my whole family and I loved it. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Hayden Walls: The two cupcakes I ordered were good except I got a HAIR in one of them and it was disgusting. You couldn't go inside and the lady told me it was going to only take a few minutes because I ordered a latte and two premade cupcakes, but I stood outside in the cold for 10 to 15 minutes.
Ashe: Best place I've ever been. The Tofu Scrambles are amazing and so is the bacon!!!Edit:Now that we've been a few times...THE BREAD IS THE BEST. Any sandwich is worth it for the breadCacio e pepe scramble is our favorite. The Buiscuts and gravy comes in 2ndWith the Hollandaise Scramble and Mole Scramble also getting honorable mentions. The portions are genuinely worth the price tag. If I could eat here everyday I would 3
Rachel Dickensheets: I finally got to try some chili, scramble, biscuits and gravy, and bake goods - and everything was delicious! I look forward to going again and again and working my way through the entire menu!!! No pics since everything was inhaled by myself and my kiddo. Very satisfying!
Steve fite: Great folks. I called at the last minute and they jumped thru the hoops to get me taken care of. I will definitely be back
Cam F Awesome: The vegan BLT is amazing! Can't wait to come back to this place.Their pecan pie was good and so was the cupcake. All vegan!
Mike Black: Best gluten-free vegan bakery- hands down. Better than anything you'd find in New York or California. Tastes better than anything not gluten-free or vegan.
CMGeek: I just called to get some more menu information and the lady that answered was so polite and helpful. We can't wait to try this place.Just went. So friendly and delicious!!!The cupcake wrapper was so easy to take off.
Crystal Lewis: Cute little vegan shop! London fog was delicious!!
KJ Roberts: My favorite place! 5 star everything.

Dolce Bakery: what do users think?
Kayla Russell: Everyone raved about the wedding cake! It was carrot on one level and lemon on the other… the best! I also ordered cookies with our initial, “Mr. & Mrs.”, and “love”. They were done so well and really added to our table. We had a small, intimate, family wedding and Dolce treated us like royalty. I recommend them to everyone!
Ashton Ettleman: This was the easiest part of wedding planning. My husband and I ordered the wedding cake tasting box and were able to sample all their flavors at home. We then scheduled an appointment to go in and iron out all the details. We chose a variety of flavors in both regular and mini cupcakes and a two tier cake for cutting and serving. My favorite was almond and my husband liked the lemon so we were able to do both flavors in our cake, one for each tier. I loved that they sent an online portal that had everything we needed and allowed us to make payments online. They were a huge hit at the wedding and I definitely recommend getting some of the mini cupcakes and wished we would have gotten more. People liked being able to try all the flavors and they were great for the kids!
Jordan Chapman: Came from Florida for my niece and nephews high school graduation and was given the last minute task of graduation cupcakes. Drove around the city all day trying samples from some of the best bakeries in town. Knew I had found the one when I tried a sample of their icing.Dolce's cream cheese buttercream icing was hands down the best in town. They were also able to fulfill all my graduation cupcake needs at last minute, as well as setting me up with a box of assorted baked goods to keep the kids out of the cupcakes before the party (my favorite was the peanut butter brownie). Will definitely be visiting again next time we're in Kansas City!
Christopher On: Amazing and Delicious! The place is filled with delicious smells and everything looks amazing! I indulged in various flavors of cookies and the CINNAMON ROLLS!! Those are delicious! Friendly staff, delicious food... what else could you ask for?! Highly recommend :)
Sophie Neisler: We used Dolce for our wedding cake and cupcakes! It was delicious and beautiful. We plan on getting a cake from Dolce for every anniversary!
Dana Lucio: Such a cute little coffee shop and bakery in Prairie Village. I thought I had read they had more gluten free options, but sadly there were not any gluten free treats aside from a flourless espresso torte. Absolutely decadent though. Also had the oat milk cappuccino. I heard nothing but rave reviews about the cinnamon rolls and other treats.
Drew Siebert: Lovely place to treat your sweet tooth and get your caffeine fix at the same time. I frequently take business meetings here and am never disappointed.
Ming Zhong: I visited Dolce Bakery lately and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The staff members were all lovely and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere was inviting, and the convenience of the location made it the perfect spot for a quick bite or a leisurely lunch. The pastries and baked goods were absolutely delicious and clearly made with care and attention to detail. I would highly recommend Dolce Bakery to anyone looking for a delightful bakery experience. Thank you, Dolce Bakery, for the wonderful visit!
Franck Santrom Romano: C'était vraiment délicieux. Les pâtisseries, l'ambiance, le serveur et aussi le caissier.
Melissa King: I love how unique their treats are but when you want a classic vanilla and chocolate cupcake they are divine.
Heath Wilt: Food is delicious but more than one unpleasant encounter with service, enough that has my family shopping for our special bakery needs elsewhere.
Jenni Busenitz: Best scones ever!! This place is so cute
Lissa H: I got a Thanksgiving cake from Dolce and it was a big hit at my family dinner everyone loved it
Simone Pearl: Very accommodating, super easy to work with for our wedding cake! It was beautiful and delicious! Didn't want to save the top tier!!
Audrey Subasic: Dolce was wonderful for our wedding. They gave us exactly what we wanted and were prompt and on schedule. They are a wonderful business and I recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful cake for their wedding.
Cayla Zimmerman: The cake was moist and delicious! One of the best german chocolate cakes I’ve ever had!
Ivan: Ordered some cupcakes, they were delicious! I see why they price they’re menu as such a level. This isn’t any old bakery, more like a high end patisserie with wonderful selections. Customer service was great! Thank you for making my event even more memorable!
Gabrielle Queen: Ordered a small custom cake. First time customer, I had heard rave reviews. It was just ok. I appreciate the ease of ordering online and the friendly staff. But the cake was very dense, like a pound cake but somewhat dry. And yes, we set it out at room temp for an hour before cutting. Tried it again at 2 hrs. Ate the same day we picked it up. Crumbly, dense and a bit tough. The raspberry cream cake has zero raspberry flavor besides the fresh raspberries on top. Needs some lemon or jam to punch up the fruit flavor. Overall extremely unimpressed.
Joshua Anderson: Amazing cinnamon rolls and other delightful treats.
C Troz: Great venue
Natalie Rabbass: We used Dolce for our wedding desserts. The brownies, lemon bars, and cookies were DELICIOUS.

Cupcake A La Mode: what do users think?
Ankita Bhattarai: Big, yummy and affordable cupcakes. not too sweet and perfectly presented. Love this place.
KP KC: Super cute little bakery with absolutely divine cupcakes! The coconut and cannoli are to die for!
Jeremy Rucker: Awesome! Nuff said
hallee kent: Customer service Could be a lot better!
Robin Jones: This review is not about the cupcakes themselves. I don't know how they taste. They may be delicious. However, my family and I didn't get a chance to try them. We took a trip to the plaza to see the lights and get dessert from Cupcake A La Mode, checking to see what time they closed first. When we arrived at 8:30 we were surprised to find the door locked and the woman inside not reacting to our efforts to come in since they weren't supposed to close for another 1/2 hour. Very poor business practices which means they lost this customer.Edit: You might want to reflect the winter hours on your website then.
Justin: kind and friendly. my mom is spending her birthday at st lukes hospital and i got her a few cupcakes. the lady was so kind when i told her I almost started crying. it only takes a little bit of compassion to make a difference in the world
Arianna Middlebrook: Worst sense of customer service at this location. You’re much better off taking your money to their Lees Summit location. I ordered half a dozen cupcakes 5 days before the pick up date. They called me 30 mins before the pickup time to tell me they were “sold out” of the cupcake flavor I had put an order in for. They said they “sold out 3 days ago” but if that was the case then why not relay that info to your customer when it occurred? Knowing that there was already an order in place. When I asked why it was not communicated to me earlier, the employee said she had no idea about the order and that the manager, Jennifer oversees all of it. (Terrible communication all around I guess). When I asked for some form of compensation for the inconvenience the employee said “I don’t know why it’s a big deal when we have other flavors”.... not taking into consideration the food allergens that prevent me from ordering others which I had already informed them about. 0/10 service and I would not recommend placing orders here at all.
Lesa Gilbert: We purchased cupcakes at Cupcake A La Mode over the last five years, and we've always been happy with all of the cupcakes. This weekend, I purchased a dozen for a holiday gathering with several of the holiday flavors. we recommend the gingerbread and hot chocolate cupcakes.
Chloe Mann: Yummy cupcakes
Heather Arnhart: Great cupcakes and chocolate milk!! Even the icing is yummy and I'm not a huge fan of icing.
MJ Franklin: Most delicious cupcakes ever! The Butterbeer cupcake from Oct is my all time favorite, def hope it returns! I also order delivery sometimes and one time they were out of one of the flavors I ordered so they gave me two cupcakes free!! Amazing customer service!
Allie Caldwell: The salted caramel was amazing! Really loved their treats!
Erica Gallardo: You can never go wrong with this Cupcake absolutely Delicious!
Alex Weston: Delicious cupcakes of all kinds. Friendly staff! Thanks for being so wonderful!
Mary Williams: Delicious cupcakes but if you care about the integrity of your credit card information I wouldn’t order from them. I picked up cupcakes today to find an order form with my credit card number, code and expiration date listed - only thing missing were my DOB and mothers maiden name! Terrible business practice.
Fabiola Herdoiza: Wow...just got off the phone after trying to place an order online. When I was going to pay, a warning came up that it was not a secure form. They did give an option to call the Plaza store directly to pay. I called and was told the order hadn't come through and they were too busy to write it down and take it over the phone. I got a confirmation a few minutes later and called after half an hour. I was told they would call back in a way that did not make me feel like they valued me as a customer ..more like I was bothering them. It was a small order of only four cupcakes, but I don't think that should impact the quality of service. This woman was very unhelpful and bordering on rude She did call back and asked for my credit card number, expiration date, and security code. I was not comfortable giving my security code and asked why they didn't use a more secure form? She said, you are welcome to go somewhere else, because she hadno time for this.I am going somewhere else.I like their cupcakes but I will never order from them again because I don't like how I was treated...life is too short.
Alisha Stephan: I ordered three different kinds of these off Doordash and they were three of the best cupcakes that I have ever tried. The Golddigger was super moist and full of flavor, the wedding cake one of the most delicious cakes and frosting combo I have ever had together, and the other is Salty Carmella and OMG!!! I love to support local and this made it easy with how fresh and tastey these all were.
Maddie Hall: Order off doordash and this is how they arrived. Seriously?? No holders inside at all to secure them. I’ve been here many many times and this has never happened.Edit: emailed them and they haven’t responded.
Ebony Bernard: Walked in today, was PLEASANTLY greeted, she was kind, also gave me a RED VELVET cupcake omg, the FROSTING (Might I add, I do NOT eat frosting) was sooooo good. The cupcake was moist, delicious, and soft. I definitely will be back to take kids. Forgot to mention I was picking up a DD order, so her kindness meant the world to me. Definitely 5 star experience
Lily Norlin: Helped by the general manager, so sweet and helpful. Great service and delicious cupcakes, the best in KC!
K'Lyn Hardy: Had bought 2 “Gold-Diggers” cupcakes from here for Mother’s Day; they were delicious and tasted JUST like a “German Chocolate Cake” just without the coconut. The icing can be a bit too sweet, but I’d definitely be back in the near future!

Mud Pie Vegan Bakery & Coffeehouse: what do users think?
Kendra Garetson: So sad to see this place go...definitely was my favorite place in kansas city! Go to their other location if you get the chance (:
Francis Praska: My daughter is vegan, my wife is lactose intolerant. We ordered blueberry muffin, chocolate chip muffin and a pizza kolache. Outstanding.
Lindsey Smith: I ordered a very small cake for my husband's birthday on Thursday. I was told they would call me if they could not accommodate me. Having not received a call, on Saturday I drove an hour to pick it up only to be told they weren't able to make it.
Christina Belew: I’m super sad that this wonderful bakery is so short staffed. The lone barista today was working his butt off to get everyone taken care of and today is apparently temporarily their last day until they can get more people hired. :(. He was so apologetic for the short wait that I had, all I could do was assure him that he was a rockstar and I made sure to tip really really high!
Dakota Badawy: This is my favorite neighborhood coffee shop and bakery. On most days they have more than one gluten free treat available, and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting❤️
Oie White: Still the best dame coffee and bakery I had so far that did cost me my soul to buy
Emily Plourde: Love!
Victor Macias: The Cheddar & Sausage scone was OK. But the Gluten-free Blueberry Crumble was the bomb! I was only gonna eat half of it and save the rest for later, but I ate the whole thing in one sitting 😋😋😋
Leah Bernstein: Sadly MudPie's quality of product and quality of service has gone downhill rapidly in the last year. The baked goods that were once delicious are now filled with undesirable and odd textures and flavors. The service and management are downright terrible. They are rude to customers and leave their staff overworked. We went in today Sunday 3/27 with only one person working. A line out the door didn't deter us. After waiting in line a while we were able to place our order, which the barista got wrong. I used to love this place and go all the time. Supporting vegan businesses is important to me! I am so sad to see the change in service and product. I would suggest the management revaluate how they are doing things and for god sake bring back the old baker or something! On a positive note, I appreciate that they still require masks!!
Shannon Novak: Going vegan, the one thing I missed the most was top notch baked goods... and then I found Mud Pie! I recommend this place to everyone, vegan or not. Their baked goods are seriously some of the best I've ever had. And on top of providing amazing food, they show a great commitment to their community. I just love everything about them.
Emily Paulsen: Love the vibe of this shop even more than the OP one. Amazing coffee, delicious food and baked good, definitely recommend!
Burgundy Zellmer: Coffee was amazing! Loved their vanilla latte with oatmilk! 😊
B D: Love this vegan bakery! Very cute & cozy inside. Friendly staff. Great place to drink your coffee or tea. Lovely bakery & breakfast items. Limited parking, small lot conjoined w/ other business.
Sydney Bernstein: I have been a customer at mudpie for many years. It was my partners first time. I usually love their chai and baked good. We recently went to mudpie at noon on a Sunday. We ordered online and picked up at the window because I feel claustrophobic inside their shop. The employees attitude made it seem like we were burdening them. The drinks were subpar at best. My chai was not strained and I ended up with unappetizing bits of tea in my mouth. My partner got some baked goods. When we got to the car the donuts were completely smushed together. The cupcakes icing was smeared everywhere. It was an overall disappointing experience. Overall we had a negative experience and my partner feels no need to try mudpie again.
Cheryl Poe: Love having an all vegan coffee shop/bakery in KC! The cinnamon rolls are incredible and the bagels are delicious. Everything is amazing really!!
Reese Mauro: Please never stop making the cherry donut. Also, though, I don’t need icing on everything.
Halie Branson: Lovely spot to grab a baked good and coffee or tea!
Keelan Lang: Just a delightful place to visit. The atmosphere is great, the staff are wildly friendly, and the selection was really nice. My partner and I had a great time chatting with the 3 baristas who were in, which is something you don't really get out in the west. Very refreshing and very worth a visit, but be prepared to get creative with your parking skills!
Tomás Ballardi: Best coffee house in Kansas City.
Risala Allen: Delicious, allergen-free goodies!!
Sofia Salinas: So I just recently moved to Kansas City and I've been looking for a place to relax, somewhere local, and just kinda get to know the workers. This place literally is my go to almost every single day. The coffee is amazing and the food! But especially all the workers there! They are all so nice and sweet! Will never stop coming here 🖤

Bloom Baking Company: what do users think?
Puddlemom Pool: In search of a croissant locally that would compare with those in Paris. This is not it. 1st, what would cost between $1.20-$2.80 in Paris Bloom charged $4 and it was 2/3 of the size.It was a nice flaky layers, but it didn't taste buttery and certainly not worth the steep price. Also, had the $5 chocolate croissant and it also was smaller size and only had one bar of chocolate. The chocolate was tasty and good quality, but for $5 it should have been larger and had more chocolate.
Matthew Trowbridge: There's apple and cherry Danish are the best I've ever had. A must place to stop by at the river market.
A Hitchcock: I needed to take some treats to a very good customer of mine. The place I originally picked did not open until 11:00 am. I saw that Bloom Baking Co. opened up early, so I took a chance and drove across KC. to get there. It's a small place, but had what I wanted. The lady behind the counter was more than willing to put together a couple of boxes filled with Brownies, chocolate chunk, oatmeal-rasin, peanut-butter cookies, and peanut butter bars. Yes, it was on the expensive side, but my customer was very impressed. I can't tell you how they tasted, but they all looked amazing. I will buy from them again, but will call in advance to make it easier for them. They were very friendly.
Shay R: Updating review: the past few times I've gone they have really improved how much they are putting on it. The macaroons are simply amazing as well. I love supporting this local bakery!Old: I have eaten from this bakery multiple times. The first time was amazing but the last few times they have put almost no chicken salad on the croissant. I will say that the small amount they do put on is very delicious but for a ten dollar sandwich it's not worth it.
Andrea Kalish: You know how chocolate croissants never contain enough chocolate? Well that doesn't apply to Bloom's chocolate croissants. Their croissant has a thick bar of chocolate in it. It is absolutely heavenly!
Ryan Sanders: I don't ever write reviews, but hopefully I can save someone else some trouble and money. I've been all over the country and this is the most expensive while at the same time worst quality bakery I've ever been too. I do want to say the Employee was super helpful and pleasant though
Two Dogs Biology: Bought a cinnamon roll @ city market location yesterday. It was the best we've ever had on our travels across the US. It was light, not overly sweet, and noticeably high quality. Wish we would have gotten two!!!!
Bonnie W: Delish and fresh bakery goods
Brooke Young: Best brownies ever, I would share a picture but i already ate it.
Edward Jones II: Had this cookie in the KCI Terminal, this was a really moist and tasty cookie. I grabbed the oatmeal raisin my favorite type of cookie. They did not let me down.
Afsaneh M: Too pricey for these pastries and other stuff they sell. They are good but not mind-blowing fantastic for these prices. Lower your prices and you will have a more successful business :)
Nong Ch.: Bread pudding is very good. Butter Croissants are also great. The service is very friendly. I would definitely go back to Bloom if I am in the area.
Shelley F: Wonderful assortment of breads, sweet treats, coffees, teas, and lunch menu. We had a vanilla macaron, peanut butter bar, chocolate croissant, and an iced chai. A bit pricey…inflation, right?
Lindsey Leardi: We felt so silly running all over Kansas City tasting cakes when Bloom was right around the corner from us the whole time! As beautiful as it was delicious, our 2-tiered wedding cake & dessert bar was conceptualized & baked by Bloom Baking Company. Our dessert bar included: mini tarts, macarons, brownies & lemon bars. Cake tastings are $25 & goes towards the price of the cake. After inquiring online & our tasting, Sarah quickly set-up an in-person meeting to review our ideas, make suggestions & put together an invoice. Sarah & her team were incredibly thoughtful & considerate of both our desires & budget. Thank you Bloom Baking Company for creating such a delightful dessert experience for us & our guests. Not a bite went to waste! Our only regret is not ordering more! Looking forward to the next time I can taste Bloom!
Laura C: Yummy yummy! Delicious and takes custom orders for king cakes!
Sam Hagan: Can’t say enough positive things about Bloom! The owner is fantastic to work with, and their foods are delectable! 5 stars all around.
Delaney Lange: A wonderful stop on our 5th wedding anniversary! I had my first ever macron here years ago during one of my best friends bachelorette trips! We had to grab some. They were delightful! The lemon poppyseed & the lavender are sooo good
Tim Kim: Best of the best!
Brian Tompkins: Fantastic panini melts for lunch!
Audrey Marie: Best almond croissant I’ve had since I went to Europe!
Zahra Afzal Khan Tanoli: They advertise same day delivery, but they don't say it's only for weddings. I wasted a lot of time waiting to reach them for a special birthday cake, as they advertise same day cake delivery, but it is not true. No same day cake and no same day delivery. So hurt!

Ibis Bakery: what do users think?
Aris Afghanzada: The almond croissants 🔥 and pls bring back the sesame loaf!
Kimberly A: The best bakery in Kansas City. I had this pastry pictured below i couldn't pronounce. It's about the best damn thing I've ever eaten. Buttery deliciousness. I've also had their cinnamon rolls, bear claw, and orchard bread which are all terrific Call ahead and reserve what you want or go early.
Abby Oyesam: Kelly was very helpful and knowledgeable of the bread types and varieties
Nancy Hake: What a gem in the heart of West Side KC! It is a must when you are an early riser on weekends. Service is fast and with a smile. There are many other items for sale other than bake goods.
Ania Elizabeth Carr: Lovely.
Chen Jan: Best bakery in middle part of America! I Ake bread and pastry at home, so I can tell they really love and try to make something special and different. Earl grey bun is full of flavor. The seasonal filling croissant, instead of cream cheese filling, which is the most common filling is America, is filled with lemon flavored custard. And Kouign aman, tastes kind of like the famous cronut of Dominique in NYC. Ciabatta is perfect, crispy skin and moisture inside. With those charming holes, it’s been rising for a long time. The service is also perfect and sweet. Will absolutely be back when I am in KC.
Laura Vescovi: Beautiful delicious and health bread!
Michael Jarboe: Amazing bakery! Really can’t go wrong with anything in there. An absolute must try!
Karissa Schatz: Amazing breads and pastries and very friendly staff. Love, love, love!!
Travis Dahle: Cute place, great food and wonderful staff!
Rachel Strom-Norris: Rating on the food: 5/5. As my family and I travel the world, we always search for the best food. I would rate this one in the top 3 my husband and I have ever had. We will absolutely stop by again when we are in the area!Plan to pick up and go. There are very few seats and the bathroom was clean and served it's purpose, but tiny and uninviting. There is not room to change a diaper in there and my toddler and I had to do a crazy little dance so that there was room for us to be in there together.
Nicki Muhawi: What a great bakery! Picked up a few goodies and my mom and I took bites of before I took pictures 😂 Everything was delicious!
Nathaniel Gempesaw-Pangan: Friendly staff. High quality baked products. Get there early to make your selection before they sell out!
Jesse S: The cheese slipper here is so good. We discovered this place on a whim while visiting from out of town. This will be a must stop for us every time we visit KC.
Anne S: They have the best bread and the best staff ever! The cheese slipper is personally my favorite from the menu. It is definitely precious cargo. If you really want a specific item I would call a day or so before and place an order for pickup. They sell out very fast. If you don't pre-order I would recommend getting there as soon as they open.
Dianne Keech: What a wonderful gem. If you want the highest quality and best tasting fresh bread, this is your bakery. It reminds me of Europe. Thank you, Fevere for your great customer service too.
Ale O: Great bread. Get the cheese slipper.
e creative: Best bakery anywhere. From the loaves, like Grain Travel loaf which is Oh my God! so hearty, tasty, chunky, to the delicious Cranberry Walnut Pan Loaf, to the flaky, so almondy bear claw, the only way all bear claws should me made. Not to mention ever friendly and knowledgeable shop owners/staff, always answering all questions5 star all around.❤
Jeremiah Tylski: I decided to go here because my usual doughnut shop was closed. I got here at 10:30, and it’s very obvious why he was almost out of bread. The cheese slipper is an absolute must - we couldn’t stop eating it at home! His base bread recipe is fantastically delicious! So of course adding cheese just made it that much better.I also got the last pan of cinnamon rolls, and wow! They were moist all the way through and the flavor was amazing.Lastly, a friendly smile and customer-centric attitude always tops things off. Fervere is now a staple for our family, so thanks so much for the amazing breads!
Andrea Duloc: My husband is French. He loves this bread. I think that’s all you need to know. Or maybe you want to know our favorite- the Heirloom Polenta. Pastries are great too. They have limited hours, and supply (they sell out! Understandably)- so plan well, and maybe even call ahead.
N T: too good... literally everything is tasty!!! 10/10

The Laughing Place Bakery: what do users think?
Wild Flowers: I'm not sure if I caught the staff assisting me having a bad day, being the only one in this bakery, she asked what do you want? Wasn't very nice. This was before Covid. Never went back.
Erica Kirk: Absolutely the best gluten free cherry pie!
Lucy Waldenstrom: So far everything I have tried here has been delicious, the only negative thing is that they run out of a lot of choices. However I have learned to call in the order so they have what I want.
Kirk Smith: Had a London Fog cupcake and cold brew both very good. Space is nice and neat.
Brenda Delgado: Lots of gluten free goodies!
Mike Lynn: Amazing selection of Glutin free, always tasting amazing, and always great customer service. Our daughter loves this place due to having celiac and not able to eat gluten. The service is amazing and the food is unbelievable... Thank u for all u do!!!
Joshua Peters: The atmosphere here is amazing. The people are so welcoming and friendly. The food is so good but the oatmeal everything cookies are my favorite. I'm not really a coffee guy, but that's even growing on me. I love it here.
Jennifer Barker: Gluten free bakery!!!! My hubby loved the scones and isnt GF...Saw a post from FB and drive from Blue Springs...WOW .... The treats were amazing! Pumpkin/cream cheese muffin, Lemon Raspberry tea cake, blueberry scone!! All delicious! I can't wait to come in the am and try the quiche & cinnamon rolls..Let's talk about the staff.......Joy was so kind and lovely! Anisa (hope its spelled right) was so sweet! Both super helpful and friendly!! We will definitely becoming back here!
Serena Smith: 100% gluten-free! Great variety of baked goods, made with in-house GF flour blends. Coffee and non-coffee drinks with housemade syrups.
lee b: My daughters first birthday was in July but I had went to this bakery to get her smash cake ( I know it’s free) but the point is they gave me the driest little cake for my itty baby . It wasn’t even edible terrible
Faith Groll: We used Laughing Place to cater our wedding cupcakes and the experience and taste was wonderful! All of our guests were so happy with the desserts and Anisa was absolutely wonderful. She was so quick with responses and very thorough and clear withall of our options for flavors and prices. Would definitely recommend Anisa to all friends and family.
Suzie Klinge: We got a brownie with chocolate chuncks and marshmallow cream that was amazing!!! We also picked up a loaf of the Chocolate Zuchini Bread for friends, who thought it was delicious!
Stephanie Petersen: Adorable independently owned gluten-free bakery in the heart of downtown Gladstone.Located just east of Summit Grill and west of the Gladstone pool/ community center in a tan brick building with a black awning shared with Stone Canyon Pizza. There are two spots right in front to park and they're parallel, so parking can be a little bit difficult if it's a busy time of day because of the Summit, Grill, parking availability and business only parking spaces, so be careful that you watch where you park. The walk won't be long, however, It's not terribly wheelchair friendly. The store is darling with open ceilings, an open and visible kitchen, smooth soft jazz piped in through the speakers, and scatterings of tables with people working or reading quietly. They do not have a very robust bread selection, or even much of a savory selection for that matter. Again, everything is gluten-free and there are lots of choices for cupcakes, cookies and other sweets.
Amy Thornburg: Order a cake for a birthday party to be picked up at 10am for a birthday at noon. Got there at 11 and was told they forgot to finish the cake. They offered to finish it but when I said by noon they said they couldn't do it that fast. I'm glad I didn't prepay for it and am completely disappointed that the birthday party doesn't have a cake.
Faith Yoo: It’s good!! I went around 9am and those fresh batch of cookies just came out of the oven. Even ones at the countertop were soft and chewy. Personally it was a lil too sweet for me. Wish it was just a little less sweet.
Darin Cates: Guitar player for the band down the street was having a blood sugar issue and this bakery OPENED their doors after closing to give him a life saving snack. This will forever be my favorite bakery!
RedemptionSSB: As soon as I step through the door I was welcomed to a family friendly atmosphere. I ordered a cinnamon roll, chocolate chip cookies and a lemon cupcake. Everything was extremely fresh and rich. I enjoyed everything ,but the cupcake; however I am a picky eater at heart so I won't slander them for it. If I'm in the area I will probably come back again.
Megan Campbell: Just tried this place for the first time this morning! The cinnamon rolls were fresh out of the oven and absolutely delicious. So happy they are all gluten free!
Tom Brown: Great food. Nice atmosphere. Friendly people.
Lolo-_- Bon Tv: good place
Hailey Cox: I bought a slice of some raspberry bread and a chocolate chip cookie. She literally chose the smallest one for me…tasted a bit weird and the bread was very dry and kind of old/hard. Was not what I expected for $6. Not worth it.

Opera House Bakery: what do users think?
Ashley Hughes: Ignore all the bad reviews below, this local bakery is badass! First of all everything is made in house from scratch. There is only 1 baker, her name is Annie and she is INCREDIBLE!Her macaroons are to die for! 6 different flavors & THEY ARE HUGE!! They have seasonal flavors of cheesecake which is hard to find locally. I recently fell in love with the granola bars, Annie also makes from scratch, Tropical Fruit & Trail Mix have been my go-to flavors when the restaurant is super busy on the weekends during the Farmers Market.
Lori Ventura: Such a cool vibe here!
Sean Tokic: Worst service ever experienced. Never wrote a review in my life until now. Waited in line while the barista spoke with her friend for 10 minutes and was told they couldn’t serve what was on menu. I asked when they stopped serving and she said when they get less busy. I asked when that generally is, she said 7pm. It was 6:30. She basically told me to kick rocks, and I guess I’ll kick rocks everywhere except Opera house from here on out.
Allison Dauzat: Bigger inside than expected, not much signage on where to go to order but went there strictly for the bakery. It in the very back left corner(if anyone wanted to know). Cute and small and a decent variety of sweets!
Vivian C: I ordered one Opera cake for special occasion and turned out that the sponge cake was dry and the buttercream was way too sweet. My boy friend tried it and also agreed with me that it contains way too much sugar and we ate not more than 2 slices. It was quite a disappointment.
Dave Cooney: Nice atmosphere but I do not recommend eating here unless you have a small stomach and big pocket book. Very small portions. A bit pricey.
Justin Marks: Walked in at 7:57pm (close at 8pm) and was told they were closed. That’s terrible service.
Peggy Beck: They didn't make opera house cake.
super fluffers: I went there for a birthday and just got a variety of treats to fit everyone's taste and it worked out really well! It's an awesome atmosphere and the treats were delicious, in fact I'm coming back next year!
Karen Bernard: Best coffee house in the city. Location couldn't be smarter. In good weather, you can't be the outside cafe. I go there on as many weekends as possible.
Amy Young: Delightful concept. Very friendly staff with great suggestions. Suitable for families, couples, job interviews and chilling out.
