John F: Great find in the northland for authentic Italian sweets!! I love Scola's Italian Cookies! They have the most delicious and authentic Italian cookies in Kansas City. The cookies are made from scratch and have a variety of flavors, such as neapolitan, tay tu, ricotta, and more. The cookies are soft, moist, and melt in your mouth. They are perfect for any occasion, or just for a treat. My favorite is the ricotta cheesecake, which is creamy, rich, and heavenly. The staff at Scola's is very friendly and helpful. They always greet me with a smile and make me feel welcome. They also offer catering and private parties for special events. I highly recommend Scola's Italian Cookies for anyone who loves Italian desserts. You won't regret it!
Sherilyn Camerlinck: Although I live in the Liberty area, I make an excuse to trek here. I don’t have a favorite because I enjoy so many of their cookies and their Black Forest cake. Today, I tried the lobster roll. A scrumptious filling that will fill you up! Come with an empty stomach or share with someone special.

Kyle Lawson: Went there for the first time this evening. I tried the chocolate mousse cake and oh my gosh was it delicious?! There were so many choices and everything looked very pleasing to the eye. The young gentleman employee was very helpful in trying to help me pick out some of his favorites. He was very kind and respectful. I will definitely be going back to try the bread pudding as well as the cinnamon rolls!

Jason George: Scola’s is the bomb! This bakery is, by far, the best bakery in the Midwest. Their cheesecake is the best I’ve ever had. Their iced fig cookies are to die for. Several years ago, I went to Italy on a cruise, and the desserts and pastries there don’t even come close to Scola’s. It was a big let down on my trip, but I’d much rather have this bakery close to home where I can go to once or twice a week! The people there are awesome. I will not go to other bakeries in Missouri and Kansas. They are stuffy, pretentious, and overpriced. Nothing beats Scola’s…nothing! Trust a real foodie here!

Holly Du: We had Cupini’s cater our wedding, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Matthew was so easy to work with and was adaptable when we needed to update or change things. The food was delicious as always, and they gave us SO MUCH. By the end of the night we had two pans of lasagna, one pan of tortelloni, one pan of primavera, and one pan stuffed full of bread to take home. Almost all of our guests left with smaller to-go boxes as well! The only thing of concern to note, is that some of our guests mentioned that the chaffing dishes didn’t have their warmers turned on, so the food wasn’t hot; however, everyone still loved the food. Would highly recommend using Cupini’s for your wedding!

N B: Ordered chicken parm and chicken fetucinne Alfredo. The chicken in both dishes were room temperature and were extremely dry. The chicken in the parm was rubbery like it was cooked 5 hours before and microwaved for a minute because it obviously wasn't not enough to melt the deli slice cheese on top. It looked like it was cooked before we even decided to come here. Food came out suspiciously quick. The Alfredo sauce was completely bland. I even had to chace someone down for our garlic bread they forgot. Fix your soda machine. I am never coming back. I wish I could give it zero stars.

Leanna Walker: Parking: Street parking is limited. And the parking lot usually has plenty of spaces, except during the dinner rush. But you need to know it is located behind the building.Wheelchair accessibility: I don't know how wheelchair friendly this place is. The parking lot is behind the building and either up stairs or you have to walk all the way around the building to the front. Interior is very tight, no handicap automatic doors.

Puddlemom Pool: In search of a croissant locally that would compare with those in Paris. This is not it. 1st, what would cost between $1.20-$2.80 in Paris Bloom charged $4 and it was 2/3 of the size.It was a nice flaky layers, but it didn't taste buttery and certainly not worth the steep price. Also, had the $5 chocolate croissant and it also was smaller size and only had one bar of chocolate. The chocolate was tasty and good quality, but for $5 it should have been larger and had more chocolate.
Matthew Trowbridge: There's apple and cherry Danish are the best I've ever had. A must place to stop by at the river market.
A Hitchcock: I needed to take some treats to a very good customer of mine. The place I originally picked did not open until 11:00 am. I saw that Bloom Baking Co. opened up early, so I took a chance and drove across KC. to get there. It's a small place, but had what I wanted. The lady behind the counter was more than willing to put together a couple of boxes filled with Brownies, chocolate chunk, oatmeal-rasin, peanut-butter cookies, and peanut butter bars. Yes, it was on the expensive side, but my customer was very impressed. I can't tell you how they tasted, but they all looked amazing. I will buy from them again, but will call in advance to make it easier for them. They were very friendly.

I love supporting this local bakery!Old: I have eaten from this bakery multiple times. The first time was amazing but the last few times they have put almost no chicken salad on the croissant. I will say that the small amount they do put on is very delicious but for a ten dollar sandwich it's not worth it.
Andrea Kalish: You know how chocolate croissants never contain enough chocolate? Well that doesn't apply to Bloom's chocolate croissants. Their croissant has a thick bar of chocolate in it. It is absolutely heavenly!

As beautiful as it was delicious, our 2-tiered wedding cake & dessert bar was conceptualized & baked by Bloom Baking Company. Our dessert bar included: mini tarts, macarons, brownies & lemon bars. Cake tastings are $25 & goes towards the price of the cake. After inquiring online & our tasting, Sarah quickly set-up an in-person meeting to review our ideas, make suggestions & put together an invoice. Sarah & her team were incredibly thoughtful & considerate of both our desires & budget. Thank you Bloom Baking Company for creating such a delightful dessert experience for us & our guests. Not a bite went to waste! Our only regret is not ordering more! Looking forward to the next time I can taste Bloom!

Ana Chavarria: Good vibe. It is my first time getting Matcha Latte and I couldn't taste anything... I had to put stevia to at least feel that I was drinking sweet cold milk. Salmon toast was ok but nothing impressive. Chocolate cookie had a good texture. I had a good time while having breakfast and reading. They have a good seating area. So overall it is ok, I was not impressed with the food. Maybe I'll come back to try something else.
Audrey Kuhn: Usually love this place but as someone with food allergies, I wish they would change ingredients on menu when they update items. I can’t eat onions and usually their chicken salad doesn’t have onions but I just ordered it (I’ve had in hundreds of times before ) and it has onions all over it. That ingredient isn’t on their ingredient list for it.

CDub 1962: We love McClains. Been going there for over 30 years! All of their danishes are the same formula and as delicious as they were back when the McClains owned it. One thing that bothers me though is they always run out of sticky buns before 930 am and that's the way it's been ever since the new owners took over. That shouldn't happen. Simply make more of them so they last till 11 please. We will always keep buying their danishes because there is nothing like them anywhere.

Kayla Russell: Everyone raved about the wedding cake! It was carrot on one level and lemon on the other… the best! I also ordered cookies with our initial, “Mr. & Mrs.”, and “love”. They were done so well and really added to our table. We had a small, intimate, family wedding and Dolce treated us like royalty. I recommend them to everyone!
Ashton Ettleman: This was the easiest part of wedding planning. My husband and I ordered the wedding cake tasting box and were able to sample all their flavors at home. We then scheduled an appointment to go in and iron out all the details. We chose a variety of flavors in both regular and mini cupcakes and a two tier cake for cutting and serving. My favorite was almond and my husband liked the lemon so we were able to do both flavors in our cake, one for each tier. I loved that they sent an online portal that had everything we needed and allowed us to make payments online. They were a huge hit at the wedding and I definitely recommend getting some of the mini cupcakes and wished we would have gotten more. People liked being able to try all the flavors and they were great for the kids!

Drove around the city all day trying samples from some of the best bakeries in town. Knew I had found the one when I tried a sample of their icing.Dolce's cream cheese buttercream icing was hands down the best in town. They were also able to fulfill all my graduation cupcake needs at last minute, as well as setting me up with a box of assorted baked goods to keep the kids out of the cupcakes before the party (my favorite was the peanut butter brownie).Will definitely be visiting again next time we're in Kansas City!

But the cake was very dense, like a pound cake but somewhat dry. And yes, we set it out at room temp for an hour before cutting. Tried it again at 2 hrs. Ate the same day we picked it up. Crumbly, dense and a bit tough. The raspberry cream cake has zero raspberry flavor besides the fresh raspberries on top. Needs some lemon or jam to punch up the fruit flavor. Overall extremely unimpressed.

Jacob Allen: Had Jovito's for the second time last night, and it was just as excellent as the first time. I moved to Kansas City from Chicago, and the combo sandwich from Portillo's was one of my favorites. I hadn't found anything similar in Kansas City until I saw the Italian Beef & Sausage Combo. I decided to give it a try. It was different than Portillo's in that it includes marinara on top--not what I was expecting, but it was absolutely incredible. The first time I went I had the lasagna, and it was excellent too. The staff is very friendly too. As stated above, I've only been twice, but I will absolutely be coming much more often.

I wanted some of their cucumber salad, as that's my favorite snd I'm always looking for this side.I had penne pasta with meat sauce, my favorite for lunch, and wifey had a turkey sandwich. Both great.They have Italian beef, and will give it a try next time. We got used to that from having a Portillo's near us in Orange County, and am glad to see it here.Being in Waldo and with the streets being busy, you park in back. If you're like me and don't get around, there's no front parking by the entrance. There is handy parking in the back, and a walkway to the front for them and other businesses there.I added a sign mentioning the original Smokestack, lots of nice memorabilia while you wait if you don't order ahead.Had our order ready and on our way.

But after a quick Google search for best sandwich in KC, Jovitos pops up, and let me tell you, this place is a MUST TRY! First off the gentleman that was working the counter went above and beyond to talk to us and tell us the favorites, sold me on the Cesar salad telling me that his mom makes the dressing fresh, it was one of the best Cesar salads I've ever had! The meatball grinder was my meal and it did not disappoint. Bottom line, stop in, it's easily one of the best family owned/operated businesses, and you get what you pay for!

Alex I: The Littlest Bake Shop is fantastic. My girlfriend and I have been going here for the past four years despite living 20~30 minutes away. Iris is a uniquely talented chef/baker, has been nothing but kind, and goes above and beyond to accommodate our allergies. Staff has always been super friendly. I seriously feel that this should be a nationwide chain -- we've never had anything there that wasn't absolutely incredible.
Ruthie Wu: Very sweet and friendly staff. I got three cupcakes and they were a bit dense for my taste, but I’d like to come back and try some of the other things on the menu.

Wei Styer (Wu): Super cute little gluten-free and vegan bake shop! They change out their flavors, so there are new, exciting things to try - and the girls who work there are very friendly about offering suggestions! We got (from left) the lemon bar, green tea & chamomile, and mint chip cupcakes, which were all great!The lemon was lightly flavored and not overpowering, and the mint chip was similarly balanced. They were all moist cakey, despite being vegan and gluten free.There are a few small tables with seating inside, and there's an outdoor area that I imagine has seating outdoors when the weather is nicer. Very cute and sweet little bake shop, literally and figuratively.
Anne Lindsey: Friendly service and nice atmosphere. I had The Missouri. I am pretty picky about tofu scramble, but I'm glad I tried theirs. It was delicious. Will definitely visit again.
Greer Gerni: This gluten-free vegan bakery is a dream come true. Every single person at my house on Christmas Eve agreed the cardamom rose cupcake was the best of their lives...you should have heard the squeals of surprise when I told them they were also gf and vegan. This is not a place to "settle on" if you have dietary restrictions and want a treat. It's a place for something really special. Everything is so carefully made and the flavors are delicately balanced. I ate a quarter of a cupcake FIVE days after picking it up and it was still moist and delicious. As a bonus, they have strict health and safety precautions for increased accessibility!
Darcy Besch: I placed an order for a Christmas celebration with my family, which has a wildly long list of allergies. I can’t tell you how much it meant to me to share a cake, particularly with my uncle who is so used to saying “I can’t have that.” Iris worked with me to create something special that would meet my family’s needs.Pictured is a mint chocolate cake that is made with tapioca starch and magic. I’m not personally gluten free or vegan myself, but my whole family and I loved it. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Hayden Walls: The two cupcakes I ordered were good except I got a HAIR in one of them and it was disgusting. You couldn't go inside and the lady told me it was going to only take a few minutes because I ordered a latte and two premade cupcakes, but I stood outside in the cold for 10 to 15 minutes.

Came here with family and wanted to enjoy coffee, but you can't "enjoy" coffee when you're constantly bothered by wait staff to order something other than coffee. There's two areas of seating. The staff is confused on what they should do to serve or wait on people.Coffee was mid, and the food/pastries were mid. Cleintelle was older, so if you're old this place is great.
