Loews Kansas City Hotel: what do users think?
Charmell Hall: Absolutely Lovely - great vibe, great location, helpful staffRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Doug Hammerstroem: Having drinks on the terrace was great.Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Local KCFoodie: This is hands down the nicest hotel in Kansas City. We unfortunately do not have a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons type of hotels in KC, this finally makes up for it. This place is so modern, wonderful staff, and the nicest rooms. Highly suggest staying here on your visit! The rooftop bar is the best in KC.Rooms: Best room in KCWalkability: So close to everything downtownFood & drinks: Rooftop bar has it all, but the main bar is even prettier
Zachary Antilley: This hotel is very nice, centrally located with an easy access garage for self-parking. My only complaint is the overpowering fragrance being pumped in to the lobby. Sadly we were underwhelmed by the room service offerings, the listing said there were three restaurants on site so we expected more selections.Food & drinks: Don't plan on eating more than one meal on-premise, there isn't much to choose from.
Christi Heffner: Beautiful hotel right in downtown. Was there for a business meeting and it was a great event.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Ndue Sokoli: very niceRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Shelby Cummings: The Loews City Hotel was immaculate. It's centrally located, clean, upscale and the staff is amazing. Check in was speedy. My room was beautiful, clean and very room. I would highly recommend staying here.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
Pat Lehnherr: An excellent lodging choice if you can get in for a reasonable price. Guest seems to horde the carts around checkout time but that's the case with nearly all hotels. Choose to park yourself rather than use the valet, it's much quicker, particularly around checkout time. The bar on the 7th floor has good eats, a nice sunset view, and GREAT service. We'll be back.
Mindy Banister: It’s big and nice and brand new and beautiful - yes. The beds were excellent and comfie, rooms very clean. We had a corner with floor to ceiling windows on the 17th floor, loved the views. Room service is just ok - and that makes a big difference to us! Parking garage easy. Quiet. We would likely go back ….
Monica Cashmere': One of the best hotels in Kansas City. I stay here often .. great for pics !! Service is always top tier as wellWalkability: Downtown and in walking distance to a lot of local attractions
Chris Browning: Clean, modern, upscale and safe. Great venue for business events.
Andy Weninger: Restaurant hours were weird in the hotel.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Arielle Ehrlich: The hotel is very nice. It’s brand new, and it has all the modern amenities you’d expect. The beds are comfortable, the shower is very nice, and my room even had a small couch in it, so I didn’t have to sit on the bed the whole time.Food options for conference meals were fine, but nothing spectacular. The only hiccup was that the elevators were slow. There were between 1 and 3 elevators of the 8 total that were out of service at any time.

Hotel Phillips Kansas City, Curio Collection by Hilton: what do users think?
Charmell Hall: My room was small for 2 ppl, but extremely clean, great staff, great location- definitely upgrade to a larger suite if you aren’t traveling aloneRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jim Merz: Your going to spend a lot for a rundown Hotel. Had two rooms BOTH drains did not drain. The pictures are from the second room, not the first room. Front desk staff was horrible when checking in and out. When we checked out both front desk staff on their phones, never looked up. The first valet guy was awesome and the maintenance guy was nice and got us another room. The cost to what you get was to great… stay at another hotel many other options in the power and lights area.
Hakim Abdilahi: STAY AWAY!!!!!! BED BUGS & FILTHY HOTEL!!! 2star motel vibe- could never be 4star. The pictures are a complete trap to make you think this place is even close to decent. Trashy hotel, dirty rooms ( there was blood stain on the side of the bed), parking ramp nearby is tiny and unsafe. There is nothing good to say about this place.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Jeremy Chapman: We loved our stay at this historic hotel. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful, though a little small. We got to stop by the Diamond Lounge for a snack and drinks, and had a nice breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. The location was in easy walking distance of the Kauffman Center, where we were in town to see a concert. Very happy with our stay here. We parked in the garage on the same block for $18 per day.
Jessica Montaño: This is a great hotel. The building is old, so some features show their age. However, rooms are updated and are beautiful.Cons: The walls have cracks and repaints. The elevator floors are kinda gross.Pros: antique features. Crown molding. Letter delivery down the elevator shaft to the lobby. Just an antique atmosphere. The shower in our room flooded the floor because the curtain doesn’t reach all the way down and water sprayed out. The shower faucet was disgustingly covered with water scum/mildew. Sink faucet and handles were loose. There’s a giant mirror across the toilet (weird lol)Every employee we interacted with was amazing.Valet service is $34/day.We booked a 1 king room and got a 2 queen. Kinda annoying but we didn’t feel like addressing it at midnight. So unsure of their resolution. Our door didn’t read our cards in the first room, and they immediately fixed the issue and didn’t make us change rooms.Rooms start on the 5th floor - goes up to 20 floors. Elevators are very small.Nearby activities: Great choices or the tram takes you to good choicesWalkability: Close to a few things downtown. Market close by, tram stop right there, Live! Is down the street and so is union station.
hopperado: Central location downtown. Miserable service levels: no one at the reception upon arrival, now Wi-Fi signal (USA, 21st century!), strange bargaining for later checkout by a bored receptionist playing with his phone.Impressive interior design, foyer in particular.Good breakfast service, yet dishes only a la carte, no coffee distributors.Noteworthy details: No Wi-Fi.
Kathryn Gifford: This hotel is beautiful! Our room was clean and had a great view of the city. We were in walking distance of multiple areas to visit. We’ll be back next time we visit KC!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Great value …More
Samantha Wilson: Gorgeous hotel with great service! Everyone was very hospitable. My only complaint is that we couldn’t find anywhere in the hotel or within walking distance to buy water/other nonalcoholic drinks or snacks. Our room style also didn’t have a fridge (not sure if any of them do) so we couldn’t save leftovers from the restaurants we went to. Vending machines or a little shop would be a nice addition!
Francis Wong: I truly loved it during my stay. Location was perfect and my room (the hotel) was super clean. It was easy to walk around the area. I could catch the city train to get around when it was close enough. otherwise, I just got in to a ride to head out further. I highly recommend this hotel.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
J Baker: Nice atmosphere in the speakeasy. I got the impression they they didn't really want to make any special drinks that were not on their pre-made list.
VISION FOWARD MEDIA LLC.: Beautiful hotel within downtown KC! great for business meetings , R and R , and engagement photos!
Tina Robbins: Enjoyed our stay here—really neat old building that still retains its charm even with modern updates. Our room was clean, nicely and simply decorated. The room was quiet, the bed comfortable and the bathroom fairly spacious for its size. the staff was super friendly and helpful. Added bonus is being so close to the streetcar and other attractions. Definitely would stay here again.
Debra Hall-Koftinow: Fabulous service and accomadations.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jordan Hayden: Classic hotel reminded me of a 1920’s Style architecture.
Toni Tallman (T2kizz): This was such a nice place. Old school tub with feet. Was a nice touch. You can, we’ll maybe not suggested, do pull ups on the bed frame. In downtown so it’s saturated with places and things to do.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
E A: Ok, so I want to say it's complicated. We stayed during covid so I know things are a bit weird right now. That being said. 4 stars is a liiiitle misleading. It's older, hence the boutique title... I love old hotels.. This isn't a problem but if you want A NEW AND MODERN this isn't for you. I love the old throw backs to the speak easy era so this hotels decor was so pretty. There were some drinks laying around the hotel lobby... Otherwise it seemed picked up. People mention the dust... Again it's not that someone didn't clean its gotta be the building and as soon as you dust it is there again.. I didn't feel it to be dirty. The bed was nice and comfy. Our sweet was spacious and clean. The bathroom tile was a bit soap scummy and needed a good round of bleach but again I didn't feel it was yucky. If you paid full full price you might want a microwave, fridge, and modern AC that keeps it just the exact temperature you want. It never was hot but we had to turn it down to 65 to get it to stay at 68-70 the whole time and it felt more 72ish. That was fine but I do wonder if it would have been really sunny or hotter than 88-90 it would have been warmer than I wanted in the room. Staff was nice but not over accomidating. The upgraded our room when they found out my hubby was a fire fighter... So so nice... But later I asked for a fan and they kinda acted overwhelmed and said "if I have one I'll get it to you"... Never got it or heard back lol. There's just certain things you expect at a 4 star... I'm not saying we didn't enjoy ourselves we certainly did.. I just think more particular people would be disappointed. If you are easy going and just happy to have a clean room like us you'll love it. If you want to top the line 4 star accommodation.. Maybe get a newer hotel.

Aaron Jamesfield: Remember to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. They compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed.Great location near the airport although I did not need it for that reason. A wonderful setting for dogs! The hotel is surrounded by green areas, bushes and trees which not only provides a place for dogs, but helps to block road noise (which was mild) and was very aesthetic. The decor and hotel has a nice presence and I would put it in the same category as many in the same. The only wishes were for a microwave, the restaurant to reopen, and there were no dog treats, bowls, toy or bed offered to my pup pal as mentioned on the website. The hotel had a strange odor walking in the front door/lobby area and along the exit doors (similar to marijuana), but the room and hotel otherwise seemed well-kept and in a safe and convenient location. This was the first Sonesta Select I have stayed and I would be willing to stay again.
Sessali: Lovely room, comfortable bed, and wonderful staff!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet …More
Melvin Robinson: Room was smaller than expected, breakfast was subpar, pictures did not match hotel.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Michael Carter: Room was mostly clean with some food crumbs and things but bathroom and everything else was nice. We got a suite and it was room but the couch/sofabed combo was a little awkward. The cushions were slippery and kept sliding off the couch. There wasn't a microwave but there was a fridge and small coffee bar. The shower didn't have a shelf or anything to put your stuff down. Location was close to eateries but kinda sketchy.
Keeley Wiebe: The elevator had wierd dents and carvings and overall felt like it needed a check. The hallway had a smell of weed when we arrived and almost everytime we walked it the next day, but the room smelt alright. We were too tired to check the room when we got there, but in the morning we noticed a couple wierd small stains on the sheets (brownish red so guessing blood) and on the couch we also noticed a blood stain. Since, we were leaving the next morning we didn't think to say anything. The room also has a wierd layout with the tv not facing the bed or couch, but the divider between the two.
Debbie Alexander: We have mixed feelings about our stay. The room was nice and clean which is important so they do get a plus for that, but found it odd there was no dresser or place to put things that don't hang. Also no counter in the bathroom, just toilet tub and sink. Had to put on makeup and do hair over the kitchenette ,sink and counter area that had a mirror. We were there 6 days and had to call on day 4 for the maid to empty trash and new towels. We asked for a handicapped room with a walk in shower and was told we would get one. When we checked in there were some major issues as they had already checked someone in our room so at midnight after another major goof on their part we got another handicapped room but with a normal tub with handicapped bars that was not something we could use easily. Another thing we were disappointed with was there was no food available as shown in the pictures online. Only a small area near the desk to purchase water, and a few snacks very much overpriced.Overall the place was good and if we hadn't had the issues upon arrival I might have been able to overlook a few of the things that I felt wasn't so good. When you order an handicapped room and are specific on needing a walk in shower that should have made it happen. The employees were nice but we feel some need more training, they seemed short staffed as well.
earl fuller: Positives were very clean, friendly staff, good location. Disappointed that there was no microwave in the room and nothing at all for breakfast, not even coffee. Never been to this nice of a hotel without these basic amenities. Also our 2nd floor room had central HVAC units on a balcony right outside the window and they were very noisy all night long.
Abigail Haynes: Nearby the airport with 24hr shuttle service every half hour, super helpful for inconvenient flight times that would otherwise cost $100 just for an 8 minute taxi. The rooms were fine, service was helpfulRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Jody Harlow: Was very disappointed with our recent stay. We reserved 3 rooms on the site and they refused to give a military discount and charged the maximum rate for rooms on the weekend of September 11th (what a shame). This is how Sonesta honors their combat veterans. I could tell the host was sad he couldn’t make that change in the computer because of company policy and was shocked at the prices we were paying. We stayed here again because of the great complimentary breakfast we got last year (during COVID restrictions), but see that Sonesta now doesn’t even offer that or a free cup of coffee in the lobby anymore. The manager on duty was rude and had excuse after excuse to why there was no breakfast or coffee and why the elevator didn’t work, but never even apologized for any of it. I wouldn’t stay at another Sonesta or recommend it to anyone ever again.
Lux Llama Productions: Wonderful hotel
Thomas Moroney: Only thing that saves this place from one star for me is the staff. They were all very helpful and professional. The rooms don't have a microwave and the mini fridge was very weak in its ability to keep things fresh. No complimentary breakfast of any kind, only choice was to pay $9-$11 on cold food. Only way to get hot breakfast was the Waffle House next door. Wifi was slow. Elevator broken the whole week I stayed there. If you're here on business, just stay at the Drury Inn accross the way, it's the same price and even has breakfast, dinner, and free drinks at happy hour.

Charlotte Kovacs: Lakota is a true asset to your business. He drove us places, was very friendly, gave us great suggestions on restaurants in the area, and even helped us carry our luggage down from the room. We were on a mother- daughter get away. Lakota made sure we were taken care of and he was very professional at all times.Rooms: Great room!
mswenna74: When I first walked in I was pleased with the environment, however I was taken when I entered the pool area, being the only black female other than a few employees. And noticed silence as I entered and walk to be seated, feeling should I go or I stay but then I decided to adjust to an environment that first seemed, public or invite only if you no what I mean, the salad and wine was great would I go back yes I would, why cause this is AMERICA and we are ONE,Food & drinks: Great
Isabelle Myzer: I didn't rent a room, so I can't really say how the rooms were. However I did dine at the 9210 and the service was AMAZING! Our waitress Nikki was incredibly nice and funny! She took a picture of my friends and I and hilariously took a self y! The restaurant is also incredibly nice with a great view! Jimmy Shelton: Overall, it was a great experience, rooms are clean beds comfortable. The only thing that was disappointing was the restaurant. the wait staff at the bar were not very attentive. We had to go out of our way to get their attention, overall not great at the bar and restaurant, lobby staff while checking in were great. The coffee bar in the morning is cool but not complementar, we ate breakfast elsewhere.
Rachel Jackson: Pros:- nice lobby area and outdoor seating area- very polite and friendly staff who were attentive to our needs- location is convenient if you plan to go the country club plazaCons:- the lampshade on the main lamp in our room was obviously broken and kept falling off the stand- the entire place feels dirty; the hallway and room carpets were visibly dirty and stained- the fitness center has very limited equipment and was missing many of the items featured in the photos- there were no USB ports for charging items; the iHome provided was very outdated and broken- some of the outlets in our room would not hold the electric plug and were not functional- the rainfall shower was barely dripping and had horrible water pressure- we tried to use the rooftop pool but it was very crowded; the pool area is very small and they allow non-hotel guests to use it so there is limited room for hotel guests- I was supposed to receive my receipt via email but it never arrivedThe entire place needs to be updated to current technology and functioning. It feels like a hotel with amenities from 2010. The staff were the only saving grace.
Brooke Sanders: Rooms: We arrived at 6 pm and found the carpet wet in our room. GROSS / is it a leak ? Is it sewage ? We were assured it would be taken care of - 3 hours later - nothing ! And the front desk told us to go find Cassie at the bar ! She told us she didn’t have time to check her email bc she has a luau going on? And told me to stop talking . Worst customer service ever .
Mason (cmd-space): Keito and the rest of the team were great!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Ashley Millang: Over the top customer service! All employees were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a great stay.Walkability: Right on the plaza- great location!
Arnetia Nelson: Great location and the staff is great and friendly. Room wasDirty, carpet in the room in front of the bed was nasty, the lamps were malfunctioning flickering off and on I’m assuming that’s why they were unplugged. Booked room for two guest only one set of towels were in the room.Hallway floors were filthy. Definitely not a 5 star hotel.
Robert Johnson: Had a really nice visit here. Everything was clean and in good order with rooms that impressed. My only complaint is the use of a sliding door in the room's bathroom sans any lock or mechanical restraint. A regular door with a latch and lock would be far more preferable.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Aarron: The restaurant desperately needs help. Slow service and decent food.Service: 2/5 …More

Robyn Kendle: Overcome with an awful smell when entering the hotel. Staff was friendly, and very helpful. Drinks from bar were well crafted. Room didn’t smell like the main floor, but was stuffy. Bathroom was full of hair. What sealed the deal for me was the comforter on the bed. I’m guessing this is blood, but not sure.
Brent Winterberg: I was there for a seminar, not an overnight guest. Facilities were clean and staff friendly. The only problem was trying to get into the hotel from the parking garage. Required to call security to get in, and they don't seem to be right there monitoring it, so it took a while each time.
judi jewell: So disappointing! Hotel desk staff terrible. If you have a truck valet park because you have to park on the roof and the door into the building doesn't not work. Valet staff great. Our room was ok but not totally clean. Bugs on the floor between the furniture and the walls. We choose not to look under the bed. Staff did not care to do anything after multiple requests. Do not waste your money at the IC. Stay at a different hotel in the plaza.
galena Ellis: This place is perfect if your looking for a quaint, cozy, and clean hotel
Isaac Urrutia: We love it here, however , go out and enjoy the food on the Plaza in other words do not eat there unless you have to, nice place great view from our room
Jeffrey Gonzales: Location was great and the lobby and common areas felt like old fashioned luxury. But once you got to the room it was not luxurious. I found more than a few black curly hairs on the bathroom floor, toilet, and shower. The bed didn't have a fitted sheet, it was just a flat sheet over the plastic sheet. The restaurant was sad. I ordered a salad during the lunch rush of only 3 tables. The salad took 20 minutes to come out with no dressing. I asked for dressing and waited 15 minutes but I had to go. I was still charged $18 for that salad. I give 3 stars instead of 1 because the location is great and the bartenders were fantastic.Rooms: Dirty. Gross. Not well maintained.Food & drinks: Food was sad. Drinks were stellar!
Ken Hetherington: Unexpected and welcome upgrade to a Presidential Suite for a 9 night stay. But overall definitely not 5*. Mostly 2* with mostly bad service and restaurant manager the most rude I have encountered anywhere. Food: appalling to very poor. Total lack of staff inc agency staff without knowledge of standards. A few exceptions but overall bad! Very poor communications so hotel problems, of which were many, were not forewarned or explained. Major problems with telecommunications systems- especially phones but also sketchy internet. The exception was Club Lounge Steward - Don who understood guest satisfaction and went extra mile to make guests feel special and provide a great ambiance. Nevertheless the food in Club Lounge was appalling in both quality and range - Inedible! I surmise hotel lacked competent chef(s).
scott caldwell: Great hotel right off the plaza. Perhaps a little outdated, but the service and view of the plaza is stellar.
Lynett Cross: This was a great location for my business conference. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Ashley Coursey: The rooms were so quiet and the balcony view was amazing! The staff was also super helpful and friendly.Noteworthy details: Beautiful balcony view.
Megan Roedel: We have stayed here numerous times and it has really gone down hill. The staff are great but the room was absolute garbage for the price. The air conditioning was set at 72 degrees and you can't adjust it, the wallpaper is pealing off, stains on the carpet and furniture, the exhaust fan in the bathroom doesnt work, and the bathroom doorknob kept coming off. We won't be staying here again.
Masa Kanayama: I stayed in this hotel few times before. But this time, the service was terrible at front desk. The front desk person does not even know the room category I booked and she assigned to me two steps down graded room despite I paid the price. Finally the manager came in and corrected her mistake. The room balcony needs to be renovated since there are mold like green stains in the balcony. Overall it was a disappointment stay here. This is not the same intercontinental I knew before.
Bill Holbrook: Was upgraded to a king suite. Room was big with two balconies and two full bathrooms. Staff was very attentive and quick to help however they could. The area is nice and plenty to do within walking distance.A/C in bedroom was not working but they had someone come up immediately when I called the front desk to inform them. Will definitely be back!Pictures are from the concierge lounge and from the two room balconies (5th floor).
Nathan Cabeen: This probably the most expensive hotel I have stayed in and also the worse experience I've had. No ac in the room, they came in to fix it and it still didn't work. Told us they'd meet us at a different room. Waited 30 minutes and they didn't show up. Finally got into a room with working ac 3 hours after we checked in. They refused to give any kind of a refund and barely apologized to us. Would not recommend and will not be back.

Elena Plackis: My car got stolen the first night at this hotel. The police station said that this location had a regular history of car thefts and pulled up a different incident even from 4 weeks prior. There are no cameras outside. The staff was apologetic at first but then very rude to me multiple times afterwards—they offered a few nights compensated to try to make amends and then charged me the whole amount after I checked out. I had to follow up 7 times over the span of a week to get the refund and fix the bill back to the initial amount I even agreed to pay. They were extremely rude about it—they put me on hold and the line disconnected, took down my number and said they would call back then didn’t, they were angry on the phone. I wish I had left.Don’t stay here.

Mercy: I don't think I've ever left a 1 star review but there's so many issues. So we check in and she tells us there will be a $100 deposit for the night. Not an issue because I think at least we'll get it all back but as soon as finished charging the card she mentions that they're going to charge parking so we won't get part of it back. There were stains on the couch/chair, sticky spots on the side table, dust on furniture and little spots on the bedding. Only certain buttons on the remote work. Finally got it to work so I could leave it on all night and hopefully drown out the loud dog barking and other noises. I couldn't even wash my hands properly because they had no soap. Ended up leaving feeling gross. Can't say how the breakfast was since they charge for breakfast and I wasn't gonna give them any more money.
David Repin: The manager Susana is very rude to guests and I believe she should be fired she cannot answer a simple question would not stay hereRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Crystal Waller: The hotel itself was nice. We checked in on Monday and checked out on Thursday. Housekeeping never once came to our room during our stay. I had to go down to the lobby and ask for more toilet paper and towels. There was never anyone working the bistro while we were there, and they said they had breakfast available every morning until 9:30. However, we went down to get the breakfast, and there was nothing.
Niki V.: Nice hotel for the price point however, the communication across the board from staff to guests is lacking, BIG TIME! The shower stopped working unexpectedly, due to an unexpected issue on their end. When I called the front desk about the issue, the front desk representative, informed me they had been waiting on the part to correct the issue, ALL DAY! If that's the case, they pretty much had all day to communicate to guest, that the water would be temporarily shut off, at some point. They didn't offer any sort of credit or discount, and I was extremely late for my outing that evening. I understand these issues happen from time to time, but if you know you've been waiting on a part for the entire day, that's plenty of time to communicate something to guest. I have 14 years of hospitality experience and never in my hotel career, would I have failed to communicate something like this to guest.
Hilda Ostby: Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Nice and quiet and pet friendly. Front desk staff was very nice. No free parking or breakfast are a drawback. There was coffee available.Rooms: Nice and roomy.Food & drinks: Free coffee only. You can buy breakfast.

Hotel Kansas City - In the Unbound Collection by Hyatt: what do users think?
Amy Rutkowske Coon: Wonderful hotel lobby bar. Steak frites and Pendergast cocktail are a solid YES.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Romantic …More
Andrew Verdun (Srelio): Place is great. But the seating arrangement is poorly labeled. If you show up when the lights are out during a set at a concert or something, you're gonna have a bad time looking for your seat. We had 2 separate attendants take us to the wrong seats before we finally looked it up on their site and did it ourselves, they were very nice though, I think it was just hard to find stuff in the darkness. Otherwise, this place is fantastic. Feels like a cousin to the Fabulous Fox in St. Louis.
Jag: Terrible rooms and overpriced forWhat it is. Can’t believe this is considered a “luxury” hotel.
Bryan Mccurley: Amazing
Erica Edwards: Beautiful downtown hotel. Clean and lovely atmosphere. Love the charm.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Romantic …More
Tim Ficke: Very disappointing stay. For the room rates they are asking, you get better service at a Hyatt place or courtyard. My room was filthy. Dirty towels with make up stains. Literally used towels wee in my room. Toiletries were leftover from the previous guest and half used. And the carpet was so dirty it was sticky. I asked for it to be cleaned and I received a bed that was half made at best. Most interactions were forced and I don’t think I saw a single staff member smiling my entire stay outside of the overworked valets. 30 minutes to wait for the car was crazy! I would never stay here again regardless of the location convenience.
Katie Boatwright: We stayed one night and had the absolute best experience! We had drinks at the bar in the lobby and learned from the bartender about the syrups and flavors that are made in-house. We also had a coffee from the lobby, and it was the absolute best coffee I've ever had (again, using syrups that are made in-house). The room and view from our room was stunning. This was a huge improvement compared to the last time we stayed at a Hyatt-owned hotel (The Elms where our room was double booked, someone tried coming into our room at 11pm, and then the front desk called our room to yell at us for being in there). I highly recommend staying at Hotel Kansas City and can't say enough positive things about this hotel - friendly staff, clean rooms, and romantic atmosphere with the beautiful architecture!!Walkability: Amazing location within walking distance to several restaurants and bars. We walked to breakfast at Mildreds and it was perfect!
Melissa Sigler (Wedding Photographer): As a wedding photographer who has had the pleasure of working events at Hotel Kansas City several times, I'm absolutely hooked. It's a perfect downtown location. The decor is updated and chic, yet it keeps its historic charm. The rooms are spacious for couples getting ready, and the light is gorgeous. The staff has always been extremely gracious and kind, especially with the hustle and bustle of a wedding day. I've never felt like I was "intruding" and always been welcomed with grace. Wonderful venue - can't wait to come back!
Ryan Rhodes: A luxurious hotel with a classic feel and look from old Kansas City. The architecture and vibe of this hotel is so unique. We enjoyed the decor and the ambiance in the lobby and The Grille Room on the 6th floor in particular. The rooms are small, but the bed is comfortable, and the additional items are high quality.Looking forward to returning on our next trip to KC.Walkability: Lots of restaurants and things to do nearby
Todd Czech Kasik: Great Bar and great drinks. The Towne Company restaurant is good, and pricey.Hotel highlights Luxury, Romantic, Quiet …More
Max Burr: Ask for Bethany when getting your event coordinated!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Robert Harrington: While staying at the hotel, my wife's car was stolen out of valet. The hotel did comp my room. However, management wanted to argue with me about a $66 food bill from the bar. My $18,000 car was stolen while in their possession, but they wanted my $66. The general manager never did take the time to speak to me after the incident. I was there for an additional 2 days (Conference, Mid-America Economic Development) after the car was stolen. It took 45 minutes for them to steal my wife's car, and no one was checking on the security camera's or monitoring. This, in my opinion, is a huge dereliction on the hotel. I feel if I choose to stay in this type of hotel, my property should be safe, especially when it's in the hotel's possession.I was attending this conference to help grow my business and was a sponsor for this conference event. However, due to the theft of our vehicle, I spent the entire second day on the phone with the police, our insurance agency, and driving around Kansas City to take care of the situation that the lack of security at the hotel put us in.This caused me not only to waste money on the sponsorship. The fact that I wasn't able to market to any potential clients and wasn't available to attend the special event held that second day of conference. All in all, this experience cost me tens of thousands of dollars not only in lost personal property but also in potential business that I could have received from spending time at the conference.I will never stay here again because of the lack of security, the fact that they acted like it wasn't important, and the fact that they wanted to argue with me after tithe fact because they still felt like I owed them something when I left. The food was overpriced, the rooms were small, and the customer service was openly lacking.Safety: Terrible because my car was stolen in their valet lot. No one ever checked the cameras or on my vehicle. It took them 45 minutes to steal it with no one noticing. They didn't know it was stolen until almost 10 hours after it was stolen.
Masa Kanayama: Good hotel choice in downtown KC. Spacious quiet room and good hotel service. Only downside was breakfast choices are limited here as a globalist. My stays here were comfortable and will be back again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More

Matt: Good location for people with young kids. Easy access to Legoland, science City, the aquarium, etc.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Kenneth Zhang: This place still auto charges you for internet… what’s up with that? Also since I’m using marriott points there is a crazy “redemption fee” of $52, never heard of that one beforeRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Whitney Smith: This is a nice hotel in the heart of KC. Great location for what we needed (attending Boulevardia). Check in took quite a while, and they weren’t sure if our room had a Murphy bed or not. It didn’t, and when we went back to the check in to get a different room, the line was even longer. So, we requested a roll-away bed that was delivered promptly. The phone in the room had been left off the charger, so we weren’t able to call the front desk to request new towels and had to walk back downstairs. It did work once it had charged, though. The main issue was the cockroach that came scuttling across the bathroom the next morning, so I sure hope I didn’t bring any home in my suitcase.
stephanie Anderson: This hotel is in a very central location. We had a very late check in and unfortunately we had some issues with our room. Tammy was amazing and not only found us another room, she kindly upgraded us. What a nice surprise. It really meant a lot to this tired mama. Thanks for a great stay.Walkability: Across the street from the union station, WWI museum, and the cable car. Attached to a mall with shops and food choices.
Luke Freeman: Nice Westin in downtown Kansas City. Easy to access, amble parking, hood rooms and accommodations and helpful staff.Hotel is connected to the Crown Center which provides ample shops and stores that make the stay more inviting and friendly.Easy access to sites adjacent to the area.
the review person: The hotel was nice and so were the staff my only problem was the tv had no streaming serviceRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly …More
Jean Michael: Have stayed here for years.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Gary Ma: Beautiful forested upper lobby. Rooms, however, seems old and a bit worn out. There must be nicer rooms somewhere in the hotel because celebrities such as Finn Wolfhard were staying there when I was there.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Jonathan Westerdale: We stayed for two nights and were splurging because we don’t get out of town for pleasure very often and Westin has a great reputation. Overall, I was far from impressed for what is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, I travel a lot for work and I’ve stayed in far nicer 3-star hotels. The amenities that put it over the edge to get to 4 stars (I assume) are the pool, nice lobby area, location, and gym. However, everythingthat actually matters like cleanliness, room design, shower water pressure, the mattress, parking, customer service, and even air conditioning control leave a lot to be desired. In our room were dirty towels and, honestly, few towels. Our counter was dirty and the shower had hair in it. In the bathroom also, the shower design is so odd, not really allowing for full water pressure from either shower head. The windows do not open and I thought there was a balcony, but there’s just a strange railing outside the window for some reason. I’m willing to forgive the bed, but for the price of the hotel (not even including the $25/day parking), I was expecting more. Again, this is supposed to be 4 stars in the center of the city. We woke up sweating bc of the lack of control of the air conditioning control and customer service was not very helpful. On that note, when asked at checkout how our stay was, I stated “fine, but not ideal, if I’m being honest” and the front desk attendant didn’t inquire how to make the stay better for others.I almost forgot to mention the terrible elevator situation. We had to plan out time in our travel time to get down or up the elevator, going down or up could, no joke, be a 10 or 15 minute affair. There weren’t any roaches or anything outrageous, but for the money paid and Westin’s reputation, I’d rather find a boutique hotel or something along those lines that might be closer to the things we actually wanted to see.
Zach Tetuan: Absolutely garbage hotel. I pre-booked the room through a 3rd party site that I use for all my bookings. When I arrived, just like any hotel, I swiped my credit card for incidentals. They proceeded to charge my credit card 4 separate times for a total of $500. For what? I have no idea. I called the front desk and they were no help saying the charges were a mistake but I needed to talk to my credit card company to fix them. So I called and had the charged disputed. It was removed for a month only to be put back on after the hotel apparently responded back to the credit card company saying services were rendered for the charge. They most definitely were not. I pre-paid for the room and paid separately for parking. There was no reason to be charged the additional $500. Now I am in the painful process of responding back and forth with my credit card company. So if you value your money, look elsewhere for a hotel.

Sherri Berger: Omg...love, love this hotel. It's a beautiful boutique hotel. Everyone working there was so nice, friendly, and helpful. They bent over backwards to make my stay a good one...and I got upgraded to a large, beautiful suite which added to the incredibleness of my trip.Rooms: Exquisite decor...very peaceful and elegant. Beautiful art, all the conveniences, lots of USB outlets, Kurig coffee machine with really good coffee pods, TV with Netflix and Amazon prime, love the deep tub, bathroom has a beautiful marble floor, plush towels, great pillows and bedding. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved that Chaz is both their restaurant and bar with live music! How enjoyable! Loved that we could walk to and from the plaza area. Lots of shopping and fun things to do. We had a lovely stay!
Debbie Simpson: The accouting department is lacking. I always have to request an itemized receipt more than 2 times. As of today I've emailed 3 times for 3 different dated receipts for my manager. sitll nothing. Now I am going to contact the General Mgr.Noteworthy details: Need to train accounting to get the job done
Tiffany Pollard: This was my first stay at The Raphael Hotel, Autograph Collection. I stayed in a 1 king suite for 2 nights (Sunday - Tuesday) for a work event.ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: I arrived at 1:30p; check-in took a couple minutes max. Very efficient!ROOM: Prior to arrival, I contacted the hotel to request a quiet room away from elevators. I was assigned room #909.• Amenities: Hair dryer, Keurig, luggage racks, mini fridge (keeps drinks very cold!), robe, safe; no microwave• Bath: The only real issue with my stay - loved the deep tub & excellent pressure, but the water bounced between scalding hot & freezing cold. It happened both mornings & one evening, so it wasn't a fluke. In fact, I couldn't even stand under the shower head the second day.• Bed: Bed was decently comfortable, but the sheets were rough/scratchy. omar s: Had an awesome stay here and will definitely look forward to staying here in the future again when I visit KC! Ryan Slack: Very disappointing. The house is still beautiful and the location is still great, but the experience was much worse than my previous stay. No breakfast. No staff on site. Broken coffee maker. Room too hot and no way to adjust temperature. Seemed very pricey for the experience that we received. Won’t be going back.
Linda Huning: What a wonderful historic home to stay in! Such a nice, cozy place! Everything we needed was included. Easy check in and check out. FJ Butter: We had three lovely nights at this inn and were thoroughly impressed! Elegant but still makes you feel right at home. Bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the veranda especially with all its windows over-looking the patio and manicured grounds. So close to the plaza, art museum, restaurants and pubs we could walk to. Staff was especially friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back again!!Nearby activities: All that downtown Kansas City has to offer! Easy walk to all. Especially the Kemper Art Museum!Walkability: The Inn is right downtown in the mix of all the fun atmosphere of city life with great restaurants, bars and festivities that you can simply walk to. But yet it is situated on a quiet side street where you can sit back on your own veranda and have your morning coffee or evening cocktail. Very cozy and elegant at the same time!
Amber B: Great location to activities and restaurants, combined with a cozy feel. Recommended!
Jeff Guenther: Unexpectedly better than we anticipated. Very centrally locatedRooms: Clean and nice sizedWalkability: Within walking distance to the Plaza
Danny Papke: We had an excellent stay recently as part of a romantic road trip. Very quaint, cozy, great bed. The location was very walking friendly. We try not to stay at too many chains so this independent location was very appealing. Easy check in and checkout. 5 starsRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Isabella Petri: We stayed in the George Kessler tonight and while it does have some great attributes cute interior, large tub, fireplace it just missed the mark. We had record low temps and slick roads and of course we couldn’t reschedule without a hefty fee despite inclement weather across the region. We got in late in the evening and looked at the menus for the area (a nice option, but menus are not current and we’re incorrect we specifically chose rye because they had my favorite dish to get there and it not actually be offered anymore along with several others). We returned to find a large hole in the fitted sheet and the matches wouldn’t light against the dispenser they were in it seemed others had trouble as several matches looked like they had tried to be striked and the lip of the fireplace looked like someone had tried to there as well. The bed was VERY firm for our liking and the room was SO bright from the lights it was difficult to sleep even with the blinds closed it needs better blinds or darker curtains. The window against the bed was also very drafty and the snow was not cleared well from the very limited parking. The toilet roll holder also completely fell off the wall and onto my foot taking a bit of skin with it. All in all it had the opportunity to be great but was just ok.
Gigi Keaton: The room was dirty. It seems like the floors weren't vacuumed in awhile. Jacuzzi was dirty no hot water. We have stayed here multiple of times in the past. It was our favorite spot and our get away place. Unfortunately, it's sad but the property isn't like it use to be and not kept up with. The property needs tons of care. We will not be returning here.
Philipp Umlauf: Well for starters the property is stunning. Very well maintained and very tastefully decorated. Modern where it counts but largely original.Room was luxurious, spacious, and super clean! Bed was Amazing!! We did Not want to get up.For us, the only thing we would change is the check out time...10am... Noon would be much better as we would have easily slept till 10 in that bed.10 out of 10 Highly Recommend! Would and Will stay again!!
C.L. Kesler: Gorgeous historical home turned into a peaceful safe haven in a great location! City life is walking distance but you wouldn’t know it from the quiet and calm. The common areas were stunning, relaxing, and adorable. The attention to detail with the provided notes, a binder with all the information you could need and want, the availability of glassware, the extras in the room should you be too warm or cold, and the his/her robes were above and beyond. The ambiance was lovely and welcoming. It would be an absolute shame to miss out on such a unique and special experience! Ten stars! ✨
Brian Davis: Had a wonderful stay. Convenient check in, smooth process.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jason Roepka: Certainly one of the best B&B's we've stayed at. The location and service were excellent. However, I've heard they've removed the breakfast offering, which is a shame; because it was always delicious.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Steve Schweitzer: It was ok- empty and lonely. Seems like we were the only ones there. Zero amenities - a cookie and a keurig. The bed was comfortable and good water pressure in the shower. That’s the highlights.Wouldn’t book again .Rooms: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Kay Byers: The change from a Select Registry historic Bed and Breakfast that we stayed in regularly for 20+ years to this self-serve "punch in to get in" hotel with small rooms, difficult parking, the absence of typical hotel amenities, lack of food offerings, poor lighting, inadequate small blurry mirrors, and no opportunity to interact with or ask questions of the innkeepers/hosts was disappointing. It now feels quite overpriced and lacking in destinational desirability. The heart and character that once was The Southmoreland Inn is now of a bygone era; traded for a cheaper, cost-cutting, commercial venture.
Carlo Lizano: Wonderful gardens, very quiet and safe place
Violet Vergara: This is a lovey place but extremely pricey for what you get. Finding parking for a midsized car was extremely difficult. There was nothing offered for breakfast other than coffee. One would think, considering the price of the accommodations, that there would be, at the very least, a variety of sweet rolls or something similar. I believe if you’re going to spend this amount of money for a room ($786.00 for three nights) that there would be a continental breakfast included. Also surprising was the added cleaning fee. This is a hotel after all.Why is there a cleaning fee?My room was very small and hot. You do not have the ability to control the temperature in your room. My room was too hot and the room my Daughter occupied was too cold. The lighting in my bathroom was so dim it was difficult to apply my makeup. The tub did not drain well and the toilet was the perfect size for a child. The fan in my Daughters bathroom was connected to the light switch. It was noisy and could not be turned off without turning the light off.Was it worth the price??? I don’t think so!!!
Jennekah Barnes: Absolutely beautiful property! I stayed for a quick business trip and it was in the perfect location. Very easy to find, contactless check in, easy to follow instructions for parking, wifi, entry to the house etc. The room was adorable with the most high quality linens, pillows, mattress, furniture, etc. Loved the upscale feel while remaining cozy and historical. 10/10 must stay when you are in Kansas City.
