Courtyard by Marriott Kansas City Downtown/Convention Center: what do users think?
Alec Gaug: Valet wrecked my car. Since my car and I are the only people bent out of shape about it... you got it. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this is unacceptable business practices. The fact that no one wanted to tell me the damage was done and the fact that the valet manager won't answer the phone says enough. I will not be back.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Jake Talbott: Wonderful hotel in downtown KC. Friendly staff. We had to request extra towels and pillows 3 times, so the staff lost 1 star. Near lots of tourist/city attractions. Room was large and beds were comfy. Amenities were nice. Breakfast was pretty standard. Valet was $32 per night, plus tips. Would definitely stay here again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, High-tech …More
Carl Ryan: While my room was clean, turn down service was inconsistent. Bed was comfortable, but pillows could use replacing.Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, and there were plenty of options.Pantry options are good but extremely expensiveBar/"Restaurant" closes too early, but there is a bar around the corner. They also need to get bird control - the front is inundated with pigeons and the mess that comes with them.Rooms: Clean and comfortable. Pillows need to be replaced
Eric Mensah Jr: Dylan is great. Ask him to have your car out at a certain time and he makes sure it’s there on time. I appreciate himRooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Arnella Bocharov: Dylan at the valet was fantastic. I checked in late, was exhausted, and he completely took care of me and my vehicle right away. He also had it ready on time, in fact, even earlier than expected. The level of customer service and efficiency was fantastic, and Dylan made my stay and work week that much more elevated.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Ed Simms: Dylan, the valet is awesome. Very helpful
Rupert Young: Another solid Marriot. Rooms are modern. Breakfast buffet is good. Nice large lobby and 2 blocks away from convention center and downtown.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Kim Ternasky: Charged to park auto, I paid to stay there. Front office not helpful for extra coffee cup or towels. They didn't tell me about breakfast or where gym was and no informational book in room.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
John L: Should have read the detailed reviews. Thermostats are locked at 74 and the fan won't stay on to circulate the air. If you like to hear the equivalent of a window unit kicking on and off all night while staying toasty warm, you'll love this place. The pillows were flat and chunky. The 'fitness center' is laughable. It consists of some mixed up weights. Good luck finding two that match and some cardio machines that are functioning. Too bad. They have tons of space for equipment but choose not to use it. I'm Titanium and there was no mention of it checking in. No welcome gift. Nothing. The proximity to the interstate made my room quite loud, and the fan couldn't mask it because it just clicked off and on. Parking is a ripoff at $32. The best part of the hotel is the location. There are several tasty restaurants around. Based on the Marriott reviews, I expected a lot more. I sure hope the hotel responds with a generic 'thank you for your feedback'. That always makes a night without good sleep better. 😁
Samantha Landzettel: Our room was super clean, the staff was super friendly and it was super easy to get too. I love the fact that it's only a block north of the street car and 2 blocks from power and light. Plus there are some amazing city views from our window!Rooms: The room was super clean and we had no issues at all.Nearby activities: We were one block north of the street car off of main street and 2 blocks from power and light. There is so much to do around the Hotel.Safety: The hotel is in a very safe area and even had safety measure in place for guests to get into their rooms. Locks can be found inside the door of the hotel room. It was a door lock, and a bar lock. There is even a cover for the peep hole.Walkability: Power and light is within walking distance. 5 minutes max. You're looking at 2 minutes to get to the street car. Restaurants around the hotel as well.Noteworthy details: This is the second time that I stayed in this hotel and everything was on point. I love the view, I love the location and I love how there is easy access to everything.
Jonathan Wilks: Location was great, walking distance to T-Mobile Center and Lula’s. A/C units are on motion sensors according to the front desk, room was 74F and warmer than the hallway despite it being under 40F outside. Bed was average comfort, no topper. There was also a sticky substance, looked like honey, on the bedroom walls. I’ll be sticking with Hilton Hotels for future overnight stays.

Devon Jacob: Super clean, friendly staff. Workout area is a bit sub-par with only a few weights. No hot tub. Breakfast is pay only and pricey.
Brandy Clark: We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for Planet Comiccon. The rooms were neat and clean, and the staff saw to whatever needs we had. I had no issues, and would definitely stay here again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Austin: The valet service was pretty impressive and the staff was on point, there were two guys Gerald and Dylan. We'll be back for the next trip for sure

Hotel Indigo Kansas City Downtown, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Julie Sleister: Great place. Stayed there a few times. Comfy beds, clean, and great staff. Water pressure isn't great. The only thing I would warn about is that you best be OK hearing whatever is going on in your bathroom when someone else is in there.Back again. Quiet bathroom this time. Hotel Indigo has become our "go to" when heading downtown.
Fallon Brooks: Hotel Indigo’s lobby is beautiful. The parking garage next door was super affordable with an $18/day max and very convenient to the hotel. The elevators are fast and we never had to wait for one. Our room and bathroom were nicely decorated and clean. The value for the price is fantastic!Walkability: This hotel was super close to everything we wanted to be near. We didn’t take the car out the garage the entire weekend.
Trent: Very nice hotel and great locationRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet …More
Kyle Quandt: Very unique and nice place to stay. The rooms are decorated well, the staff was friendly and provided great service. Noise level was low and the restaurant downstairs, while not free, was amazing. Would recommend for anyone staying in downtown!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet, Great value …More
Tara Johnson RN: Hosted my daughters bridal shower here and yhe staff was AWESOME! THANK YOU Lauren, Angela and Adam.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5 …More
M Linzie: We don’t typically stay in IHG hotels but we decided to try this one out. The hotel itself is in a good location in Downtown Kansas City and the walkability to the various restaurants and activities was a plus. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The smell and quality of the bath products offered was nice. The on-site restaurant was good as we had breakfast there. The front desk staff at check in and during the stay was great, however, the same can’t be said about the front desk staff at check out - which sort of put a damper on our overall stay (never saw the same staff twice).
Eric Hackler: Loved it, great rooms and service. Good location.Rooms: Nice, clean and spaciousNearby activities: You can walk to about whatever you want to do or seeSafety: Yeah they have security guards and security drive thrus. But it's not bad use common sense. But if you observe you can learn which dumpster to dive and come out aheadWalkability: It is very walkable just a few blocks from plFood & drinks: Good food on hand
Garrett Geringer: Good location and great rooms for the price. Valet parking is your best option for parking and that runs only $28.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Kim Sharitz: Nearby activities: Pretty close walk to T-Mobile Center which is where we were going.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet …More
The RC: Wouldn't let us even come in and look around to consider staying there. Stopped at the door and turned us away because we weren't already guests. Unreasonably rude - clearly not interested in hospitality. Would NOT stay here or recommend.Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Dilshod: The showers with half a glass door was a bit strange. But, overall a good stay.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Aviane W: I'm a fan of IHG Hotels. Location was great however, someone texts me about my arrival she even texts to follow up. I advised I wanted housekeeping daily. And a quiet room. I did get the quiet room but on the first night no housekeeping after I called and advised I was out my room. As I arrived the next day after a long day-my room keys didn't work. I called for valet when I came down he didn't even get the call. Overall, I think I was just hoping for everything to run smooth. Things happen but service was just very relaxed for me. Great location though. Nice people
Kiri Zeuto (Mawri): This place is amazing! It's very pretty. Clean, well-managed. They allowed me and family to bring our dog too, which was quite surprising. A little gripe being so near to Main and Truman, resulting in some dense traffic, but otherwise, this is great! I definitely would like to stay here again.Food & drinks: Integrated restaurant. Best if you get the vouchers with the stay though. Out of pocket for them can hurt.
Kirstjen Lorenz: The staff at this hotel is very friendly and helpful. I stayed in room 506, and it was huge with a very comfortable bed, a nice size bathroom with a walk-in shower and a good size desk and a very nice chaise. The location is very good. 1-2 blocks from the Power & Light District and the free street car that will take you to the WW1 Museum and Union Station.
Isabel Reutzel: Great stay with beautiful rooms and lovely staff. During our stay wifi was down in the whole area which would be our only negative but out of the hotels hands. The staff was helpful in every way possible even though their system was down too making their jobs harder. Walking distance to anything you could want! Parking can be a little expensive in garages but lots of free street parking certain hours. Attached to a restaurant/bar which is also of convenience. Overall loved our stay and would go back! ( there’s 2 hotel indigos in KC near each other and the other is a little sketchy and not close to much so be sure to double check was told it was a common mistake as we went to the wrong one first)
Miss Wilk: I stay here regularly as I drove from the west coast to the east coast often. My favorite thing about this location is how nice the front desk is when I bring my cat in it’s little backpack. They consistently upgrade me and provide top notch service and amenities. I know I write a lot of reviews for Hotel Indigo locations, but it’s because I don’t want to stay anywhere else. I will go out of my way if necessary to ensure I’m close to this hotel brand. Why pay 10x the price somewhere else for lesser service?
Melissa Mattner: Overall, my stay was great! I had issues with the mini fridge not working when I first checked in (I had stopped at the store for items that needed to be refrigerated). They helped me switch rooms without an issue. The rooms were great, quiet, and large! My only "complaint" - I booked this room under an AOTA conference rate. This rate was actually no different than their current posted rates. IHG, do better! Seriously.
Jon & Holly LeRoy: Rooms are pretty neat. Different than your average Holiday Inn or Hampton. Location was convenient.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Home2 Suites Kansas City Downtown: what do users think?
Keyser Soze: Decent place. Been here for a week and have 2 days to go. Can’t wait to take a decent shower. They add some water softener additive which makes the water feels like lubricant and you can’t get this off your hands or body. The water even tastes off because of this. Avoid this place!! I’m headed to another hotel for the remainder of my insurance claim stay (5-6 months). They’re losing business because of this.
Marie Delvalle: The water is way to soft. Feels soapy and it doesn’t come off!!!
Gabe H Cuod: The front desk is nice and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Location is good. Housekeeping needs work but it’s negligible. The issue is the soft water. I’ve been here for 3 weeks and they add a water softener that feels like slime and you can’t tell if your body is clean when taking a shower or if your dishes are free of soap. Think of Astro Glide all over your hands and body and you’ll get the idea.
Majesca Wong: I’ll start with the good things. The staff were so nice, always courteous and really tried to help us out and make things convenient for us. Secondly, the location was excellent, right by the KC Street Car, which was great for getting to what seemed like the only grocery store downtown. The not so good- the rooms themselves and the facilities seem run down and there was a lot not working for what seems to be like a pretty newly renovated hotel. Our bathroom door did not close all the way, was off it’s hinges. The main master light did not work. Furniture seemed a little dingy. The washing machine made our room smell like rotten eggs. And some of the common areas also seemed a little run down. All in all, for what we got, I think it was a little overpriced. I would try to stay somewhere else the next time I’m in town.
Zachary Thomas: The breakfast and rooms are nice, but if you expect any sort of customer service or friendly, helpful staff - DO NOT GO HERE. The other Hiltons and Marriotts in the area are far superior, especially for business travelers. You would have a better experience at the La Quinta on troost than this place.
William J: Honestly i had a few family members stay here maybe a year ago. Back then pets and smoking(outside/parking lot) wasnt allowed. But this time was different.Even then the rooms, lobby and even the ground level parking lot was super clean. We stayed for a week. House keeping provided a full room cleaning every 5th day. The gym was nice and clean(no sweat smell) and the pool was clean. They serve breakfast every morning and usaully switched what was there every morning. All in all the stay was great and stuff did good👍Rooms: Clean, has a bed and a letout couch. Dishes are available with a dishwasher. Can get a portable cooktop /w skillet.Nearby activities: There was the money museum about a 5 minute drive or a 15-20minute walk. They have a trolley that is free and takes you to the power and light district(bar and nightlife area). It also takes you to the market. There is also the ground union station which is about a 10min walk from the hotel.Safety: The hotel is on a card based system. To get in the parking lot with a car a hotel card is required to get in the ground lobby /w the elevators a card is needed. Same with the pool area, gym and hotel roomFood & drinks: There are various food and drink places nearby. The hotel itself has a small little store with beer, wine and a mini snack bar. Some of the places nearby are pizza, mexican, and bbq places with 5min walking distance.
Dales Dales: I reserved a room A-day before my visit then when I Arrived after midnight womem on front desk lady she didn't even ask me i had reservation and told me we should out, then she charge my card more then price i book on online also the gaurd was keep looking on me for no reason I will never give my business again this aceRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Home Skillet: Secure parking lot, plenty to do within walking distance, staff is friendly, decor is modern. I won't stay anywhere else when staying in KC.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, High-tech …More
Window Maestro: Stayed there several times without issue.Nearby activities: Within walking distance to the Green Lady Lounge Black DolphinSafety: Gated parking garage is great
Jul Brnee: Came into KC for just a few days for a funeral unfortunately. Checked in about 630pm on 5/15. It was confusing finding the entrance to the hotel...we had to circle the building because its a small door on the side..not on Main street. And you can't get into the parking lot..the gate is closed. The side door is locked and it took us a minute to realize you have to ring the doorbell to get buzzed in. No signs except one saying the door was locked at 8pm..but it was locked the whole time. You have to take the elevator up to the lobby..again no signs. The man at the lobby desk did not smile at me not once..no welcome, no telling me aboit the wifi password, breakfast times..nothing. But our room was big, very nice and clean. And the location was perfect!! We checked out about 10am 5/17 and again..the lady at the desk never cracked a smile. No "hope you enjoyed your stay"...nothing. Wouldn't even take my key cards from my hand..I had to drop them in a closed container and throw away the envelope myself..per her instructions. Very unfriendly staff but the room was nice. Maybe because I was there for a funeral..but I could have just used a little hospitality.
S Alllen: Breakfast in the mornings, indoor pool, and workout rm...thumbs-up 💪
Odo N: The staff are super kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. The rooms could be a bit cleaner.
B. Crawford: I like the location. We could walk to many nice restaurants. Front desk employees we very helpful finding our way around. We were in for a convention at KC convention center.Safety: You had to get buzzed in to get into the lobby.Walkability: See above.
Syl Barnett: Hot water did not work in bathroom faucet in room 430. Peloton makes a weird noise during pedaling in fitness center.Rooms: Wasn’t as clean as expected.Nearby activities: Great locationWalkability: Close to many restaurants and bars.
Cheryl Stewart: Night clerk was atrocious. Could not fulfill my three month old reservation so she offered to let me out of reservation WITHOUT PENALTY. Guess it could have been worse, my friend's 10 month reservation was with Hilton property that was closed for renovation. No housekeeping for four day stay. Hilton seems to be struggling post covid. The last few stays have been tough.
Alfredo Bracamontes: Rooms: Very clean room and kitchenSafety: I like the card key for entranceRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Jazmine Vega: Miss Catherine was not the most welcoming.Walkability: Near by everyone and the best BBQ in townRooms: 5/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Romantic …More
JL R: I paid 30$ more per night because I called to make the reservation, rather than doing it on the Hilton app. The person who checked us in was void of any personality. They acted like we were inconvenienced by us being there. As a diamond member, I was not advised of my perks or offered them on check in. Beds were as hard as cardboard, the metal bedframe squeeked every time I moved. The couch had dried ketchup on the armrests. The TV didnt have a menu with available channels, auto set to a defining volume. More news/sports channels than anything else. No option to live stream. Walls/floors very thin. Could hear traffic and people talking outside all night.Rooms: Meh. Nothing special.Nearby activities: Loads to do near by.Walkability: Streetcar is right out the doors.

roxkitspride: God forbid you have a question at 11:30 at night and you get the snarky receptionist who's day has just been soo hard that your call to the front desk just seems like an annoyance to him. I just had a quick question about my wifi not working and if there was anyway I could upgrade it which he flatly replied to no. In which then he makes a remark about how he can't check it because I didn't call on the hotel phone, instead of just asking what my room number is like any normal nice person would do. Informed him I TRIED but the room phone was not working. Was a fine evening but this left a bitter taste in my mouth for sure. And of course no call back or update about the wifi though he said he would call and check with someone else.
Melanie Rupp: Nice place to stay downtown. Using the parking garage was easy and extremely helpful.Walkability: Close to the convention center and the light district.

Hampton Inn & Suites Kansas City-Country Club Plaza: what do users think?
Evangeline Newsom: After checking in to the location with the rooms that I reserved for my family that was traveling, it was found that one of the rooms did not have the sleeping arrangements discussed during the reservation process. The other room that was reserved was found to have cockroaches and when this was reported to the front desk staff, they seemed aloof and as if they did not care to address the issue. There were no arrangements made to facilitate use of another room nor was there anything done to compensate for the issue. I've never had this experience and especially as a Gold Status/Diamond Status Hilton Honors Member, I expect more from the hotel as I value where I stay. This was quite frankly just gross and unacceptable.
Kari Smith: Walkability: Very close to the Country Club PlazaRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Jeffrey Schaffel: Upscale lodging in great areaRooms: Very nicely appointedFood & drinks: Great breakfast
Moselle Stover: Due to a serious health issue we couldn't arrive as scheduled but paid for the room for the other party traveling with us and asked for a refund though the cancellation was late. We hoped for some kindness or some understanding. Instead the front office manager Mr. Thomas Krummel sent a very rude email stating "we are unwilling to refund you". It was a rude email to someone that has been a loyal Hilton Honors member for decades. We also left voicemails for the general manager but she didn't even bother to return our calls. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. And I'll tell everyone.
Andrew: The evening/overnight desk staff are very nice and friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff are delightful. The beds and pillows are awful though. Quite difficult to get a decent night's sleep on the low quality bed. Pool was decent but quite chlorinated.Nearby activities: It's quite close to a lot of shopping and restaurants.Walkability: Very close to the plaza area.
Brian Mackey: We were in town on a medical visit and the staff was so accommodating. They allowed us until 2pm to let them know if we needed our 2nd night. Also, this location has EV charging for our electric vehicle.Noteworthy details: EV chargers for electric cars.
Dennis Canuto: Excellent hotel. If you stay on the top floor (9th), you don't have to worry about feet noise above you. There is also free garage, with easy convenience to it via elevator.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Thomas Haas: I've had the pleasure of staying at this location numerous times during my business trips to Kansas City. It's become my go-to destination thanks to its fantastic location and affordable rates. Although it's a relatively new Hampton Inn, it's what you'd expect from the brand, providing clean and comfortable accommodations that meet all of my basic needs. However, I was disappointed to learn that they've recently introduced a $20 per night parking fee, which I find to be quite unusual for a hotel of this caliber. While I appreciate that costs can rise, I do feel that such a charge detracts from the overall experience. As a result, I will need to explore other options for my upcoming trip to the area. Nonetheless, I'd still highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay in Kansas City.
Janice Kramer: Affordable and clean place to stay while visiting UMKC and close to food and shops. Our family doesn't really care for their cooked breakfast (lots of add ins to their eggs and potatoes and the meats arent very good) so we skipped it. We would prefer just plain old eggs, hash browns and bacon. We've stayed three times and will stay again.Rooms: Clean, quiet, pet friendly.Nearby activities: Close to shopping and UMKC campus.Walkability: Walking distance to Country Club Plaza and tons of shopping and restaurants.
Brandi Mcwilliams: Great experience! Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good. Rooms were spacious and very clean.Rooms: Clean and spacious, modern
CharlieFnBronson: First off, everyone working there was nice.Parking garage was great, except for the people in a white Yukon that door dinged me.The bad:The room door had to be slammed to shut.Bed squeaked and made a lot of noise just getting in and out of it.The bathroom sink 'back flowed' while I was brushing my teeth, and blew black stuff and hair into the sink, and onto my arm. That was truly disgusting. Will probably never stay here again.
Randa Van Dyk: We love this Hampton Inn and will drive out of our way to stay there. Very clean, friendly/professional employees and one of the best complimentary breakfasts I've had. It's recently been remodeled and has a fresh, modern vibe. And what a nice pool for the kids! Are they perfect? No hotel is, but I'm impressed how quickly the small issues (room key not working, needing more towels, etc.) are fixed. We don't plan on staying anywhere else when we come to visit KC. Nice job Hampton Inn!
Michelle Williams: During my stay, the accommodations were amazing, the staff were welcoming and friendly. They went above and beyond to provide excellent service and even made sure we left nothing behind! Definitely would reccommend!Rooms: Spacious and cleanNearby activities: Close to the plaza...on steep heel. Uber should be taken for those experiencing physical disabilities or our more experienced in life guestsFood & drinks: Delicious! Quality and quantiful
T Dwayne W: Stayed two nights while coming to see the Atlanta Braves play the KC Royals. Payed 577 dollars for two queen bed site with sleeper sofa. Those prices are comparable to other hotels in the area or in Downtown KC.The room was comfortable and adequate for our stay. Hardly ever heard any outside noise either in the hallway or from outside the building. Only issue is that when we checked in to our room, there was only three large towels. I am sorry but if you are going to have a two Queen suite with sleeper sofa, need a minimum of 5 towels. The hotel did deliver us additional towels within 15 minutes of us asking.Pool, gym and complimentary breakfast all lived up to the high quality that the Hilton brand strives for. Despite all the sports teams, their families, and other guests, the breakfast staff always made sure there was plenty of hot food for the guests.Would definitely recommend this place for any type of visit to the KC metro area.
Tanyia Wiggins: HR fired me 4th day because I was pregnant!!Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Hollie Garcia: Friendly and honest staff, great location. I have stayed here on two trips and would do so again!Rooms: Clean and good size for 2-3 people.Nearby activities: Love being near the Plaza!Walkability: I felt mostly safe in this area.
Yollette Atkinson: First time in Kansas City. Location was great! Within walking distance of shopping, dining and sites. 10 min drive to downtown. Staff was friendly. Had an issue with the microwave and they checked and replaced within no time. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast and coffee bars were well stocked with lots of varieties. Would definitely stay at this location again.
Aaron Barbee (A-A-Ron): It's a Hampton so you know what you're getting, usually. Nice, clean room with comfy bed and clean bathroom. Good breakfast. This location is way at the Western end of the plaza so the location is a mild knock. My other issue was with the evening front desk guy. He debated with me about getting into the lobby at 10pm, even though I had the app open. Bluetooth wasn't showing the front door and I couldn't get in. I'd probably stay here again if I needed to though.(March 2023 update)...I've used the mobile app with digital room key many times, but it wasn't activated for me when I arrived. One of my other group members also experienced the same thing, so it wasn't my account. The associate at the front desk resent it, but it never appeared in the app. Also, when I arrived in my room there was food at the base of one of beds - cheerios and a couple other random things. Nothing atrocious, but very noticeable. I let it go, no biggie. But the conditioner was out in the shower. It's a mounted pump inside the shower and there was no way to know until you went to use it - which is when you're wet, naked, in the shower. I tried to get some out to no avail. I was only there one night, so I hoped they'd fill it after I left.Previous experiences here have always been solid. ALL folks I spoke with and encountered were super friendly and nice. Just a couple rough spots I hadn't had here before.Rooms: Comfy bed and normally the bathroom is very well-stocked
Louis Vera: This hotel is well located to everything in the plaza. Offers great parking facilities, rooms are cleaned, and staff service is excellent.Their breakfast though, could improve.

Hotel Indigo Kansas City – the Crossroads, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Lindsay “Sweet Clucker” T: Our room was beautiful one of the nicest at that price point in a long time. The beds were comfortable. The shower was amazing! Really quiet with warehouse high ceilings. Loved everything about the room. My only concerns were no area for dogs to relieve themselves, no nearby or in house coffee drinks, and it was difficult to get luggage in. Would definitely stay here again hopefully by then they invest in anEspresso machine.Rooms: Gorgeous spacious room! Ours was so quiet being on the ground level on the end.Food & drinks: There is nowhere to get a coffee drink within 2 blocks. The restaurant does not have lattes.Noteworthy details: Dog friendly but no where for dogs to go outside to relieve themselves. Any grass was 2 blocks away.
Davon Murrietta: Room cleaners stole my wallet from room when we left to eat & happened to go on lunch right got after. When I was looking & asking cleaners for it no one happened to speak english all of a sudden but knew exactly who I was & where I was staying (when I never seen cleaners on the floor) & what was going on. Then I was kicked out by the chubby red haired front desk lady for saying I was acusing them when no one had been in the room except them. The other front desk lady was awesome, understanding & really helpful. Dont stay here unless you like to be lied too & your hard earned money robbed.
Bethany Mullinix: I initially went to the hotel indigo downtown rather than crossroads. At that location I was greeted by valet immediately, easy walk into the lobby and waited on in a very progressional manner. Staff was very nice, courteous, and then we realized I was at the incorrect location for my stay. I made my way to the crossroads location where I actually booked. Earlier that day I called to see if I could do an early check in. When answering the phone, the staff was quite rude and asked if she could finish what she was working on first. In my opinion, I feel like you could have just said please hold, or not answered until you were ready to take my call. It just came off rude. I really brushed it off and proceeded to incorrect location as I described above. Then when I arrived to the correct hotel, there were no spots to park for valet and no valet workers outside. I waited several minutes and ultimately drove off to venture around the block. Finally I had to call the hotel desk again to ask if someone with valet is available. They had the desk person working both desk and valet which was horrible. Ultimately took me 30 minutes or more and two rude interactions just to get my car valeted. Then, on check in I decided to offer some feedback on my experience at the other location and how I felt this was not acceptable service for the price I’m paying. They then argued with me about the instruction they gave me on the phone. I finally get checked in and proceeded to my room and my keys didn’t work. I would have brushed this off too but I just got the vibe that was done on purpose. I will never know but then the room space was decent and bed comfy but the bathroom floors are disgusting and don’t really look like they have been cleaned. Ultimately if I would have had the time I would have transferred my stay to the downtown location. These people are rude, inefficient and this is definitely not worth the price I paid. Will never be back.Safety: Homeless people wondering in front of the hotel. Don’t feel safe at all
Brenda O: From the front desk, the valet and the kitchen staff to housekeeping, everyone one was so nice. The housekeeping dept made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are extremely clean.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
CHRIS: Decent hotel. Not worth the price of the room in my opinion. It is close to a ton of great restaurants and shopping.
Annisa Kumerow: I'm only halfway through my stay, so this review is subject to change in case things get better. I doubt that they will though. It's 2:30 am, and I just want to save future travelers their trouble if they are thinking of staying here. Please don't be fooled by the nice design of the hotel, or the comfy bed. You may not get to sleep in it because the walls are extremely thin. I've heard the neighboring room argue about who's going to petsit their dog, discuss their underwear, and argue with each other. It's not just the fact that we share a wall - you can hear this pretty loudly in the hallway as well. I called the front desk over 30 minutes ago and they said they would send someone up, but either no one has come up (bad) or they think this kind of volume is acceptable in their hotel (worse). I'm here for business and really wish that the neighboring Home 2 Suites had rooms available, because I really don't know how I'm supposed to function on this trip with this kind of noise in the middle of the night. That hotel is much cheaper, with more in-room amenities, and the noise levels are somewhat tolerable.I just tried calling again and the phone rang for five minutes until I gave up. Not the level of service I would expect at this cost.
Jack Carroll: Walkability: Very walkable, great food, art, and entertainment right out the door.Food & drinks: Standard hotel bar and decent breakfast made to order
Harry Collins: I called to book a room for a conference I was attending with my company. They answered and everything thing seemed fine. They asked me what I needed. I mentioned I was interested in making a booking for me and my employees and suddenly they told me that a person had just walked up to their desk and that I needed to call later in the day because they needed to help this new person. They didn't even try to put me on hold or anything. Just told me to end the call because this new customer was more important then helping the customer they were already attending too. The whole thing came off as very rude and I don't plan on calling them back.
Detra Turner: Well this by far was one of the worst experiences, it started with the valet guy, just rude & unprofessional. Then the thermostat in my room didn't work,it was freezing. I definitely will not return to this hotel, for the price the service didn't match. I will be reaching out to the general manager first, then corporate!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Caroline Cramer: Pros:- Clean, spacious room- Comfortable king bedCons:- Paper thin walls; even a bus driving by in the middle of the night was extremely loud- No bottled water at all provided for the Keurig in the room- Weird location to drive into at nightVerdict:- We felt like we overpaid for what we received and will not stay here again
Brittany Beasley: This was the best experience I have ever had at a hotel. All of the staff is so incredibly welcoming. There was only 1 or 2 of them working at a time and they were amazing at being a host, valet, running the whole place. They all deserving of a raise, going above and beyond our whole stay. They were able to check us in early which was such a relief after a different hotel the night before not even ready by check in. The rooms are like a little studio apartment, so clean and modern. The location is so convenient, we were like 3 mins from our concert venue and tons of food. Do not hesitate to book here!
Lindsey scott: Too expensive
Sam Rosenberg: Staff and manager very rude, would not recommend.

Residence Inn by Marriott Kansas City Country Club Plaza: what do users think?
Scott Lawrence: Good hotel on the plaza that has on site parking garage for extra cost but walking distance to everything in plaza. Second time here and will stay againRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Nicole Jones-Quinton: Rooms: Decent rooms. Had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite, and my dog was welcome. They served breakfast, but my work hours caused me to miss their breakfast.Nearby activities: Museums, Plaza shopping, and restaurants.Walkability: In the midst of the plaza.
Dwayne Maurer: Great service, amenities and breakfast at this hotel. Huge shout out to Heather, Guest Services Manager. Heather went above and beyond on a request after I checked out! Thanks Heather, you're the reason why I am an avid Bonvoy member.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Derek Steelman: Decent hotel/apartment style hotel. Good size room. Nice patio place to visit at
Erika Loyd: Comfortable, safe, great full-service breakfast in a beautiful area... close to food and shopping. Has rooms/accommodations with a full-service kitchen. Like a 1 bedroom apartment. Awesome staffRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value, High-tech …More
Austin Martin: The hotel is ok, more of 3.5-4 stars. Clearly not super updated but this is an economical option for the area. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. Parking is a bit odd but there. Overall this isn’t a bad option for the area especially if you are trying to stay for an extended period of time. There are nicer options but they are more hotel life less apartment long term life.
Kecia W: Very nice hotel. Overall it was a front desk rep by the name of Rockey that’s he said his name was he was very nasty rude unhappy unprofessional and mean. My Dad came down stairs to let me in and he accidentally left his key he did not want to let us in he was so nasty about it and body movement was terrible he told my dad you need to have your key next time cause I won’t be letting you back in just nasty!! I hope my dad never comes across again my dad isn’t a pushy man and just ignored him he was terrible and needs a new job
Blaine Kaiser: You are definitely paying for location with this property. I have had way nicer rooms for half the price, they just aren't right next to such great shopping and restaurants.-The staff who checked us in was very friendly and helpful-Breakfast was your standard free breakfast, but the dining room was very nice.-Our room has an outside entrance, similar to an apartment building. So to get to the main lobby, vending or breakfast, it's a bit of a trek, especially when it's 24° outside.-Walls are paper thin, the people above us left their dog behind who barked nonstop and left the tv on and turned way up to try and drown out the dog noise.-Room was clean, but dated.-Bed was hard as a rock, so if you like an ultra firm bed, this is the place for you.-Parking garage holds about 20 cars, be prepared to find street parking
Douglas Ruiz: I had a great experienceRooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Brian W: Great location if you want to do some shopping right next to the plaza. Literally a one or two minute walk. Apartment style hotel room. If you’re not in the main building, you will be expected to carry luggage up the stairway. Lots of reviews about the odor, I could smell it but wasn’t the end of the world. For 250 bucks a night I would expect a little more higher end room quality but with the location what do you expect. The breakfast was very good!
Torrie (IamCodetorr): Pros: Good location, free breakfast, free parking, safe, plenty of options to eat and shop nearby and friendly customer service. Loved having the option to have an outside entrance to access my room. Room was spacious, clean, no bed bugs, smart TV, and all the utensils needed to have an extended stay.Cons: lack of good hot options for breakfast (they did have fruit, cooked eggs, sliced ham or Canadian bacon, bagels/toast, coffee, Juices and there was some undercooked oatmeal).
Anthony Wheeler: Exceptional service & roomRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
rasul Brown: Food & drinks: Bomb breakfastRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Romantic …More
Dan Houlihan: Enjoyed my stay. Close to everything I wanted. Great breakfast too.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Steve Ressler (Steve): Good breakfast...okay room...surrounded by construction projects...Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Bryan McMorrow: I stayed here for two weeks on a work trip and I have some opinions.1. Not all of the rooms are in the main building. I was in a room in the annex, that was reminiscent of a cheap apartment building. It had no elevator, so I had to drag 2 weeks of clothes up a staircase.2. It smelled like wet dog in the stairwell and in the room. I had to spray a lot of deodorant to get rid of it.3. The roof had spots that were cracking, the wallpaper was peeling, the air vents were filthy, and the floor had soft spots that I was fearful to walk on.4. At times there was no one at the desk. I had to wait a few times for someone to come to the desk.I’m giving it 2 stars for its location.

Alex Bruce: Typically I'm easy going and never write a poor review. I'm here for business checked in all seemed well. This morning when I woke up the shower gel was empty .. I had no hand soap to wash my hands. I reported to the front desk politely this morning before leaving to go to work and the gentleman working ignored me and just sent my request through the walkie. I get to my room at 8pm this evening from work and my room door was left open all day with my belongings inside and the door tag that say do not disturb was thrown on the ground. Also the beds were hastily made and seemed very intentional. Also when I came in to the lobby last night there was dog feces on the floor that no one seemed to care enough about to address. Just my observation but definitely not a great experience.
J Smith: I called before arrival to verify parking and where it was located. Right behind their building in a secure and monitored lot. I was told 21$ a night parking fee and the lot is monitored and walked. At 7 am I found broken into and a LOT of things stolen. 10k worth. They got my info to file a “insurance claim” on their end. I got 1000 sorry points, parking fee removed from my bill and two bottles of water. Uber took me to get a rental car while tow truck took my truck back home 3 hours away. AC maint guy helped me move my medical devices over to rental and kept an eye on my truck while I went to get rental. My car was the only one broken Into and robbed. KC police is worthless. Had prominent finger prints and they couldn’t take the time to pull them. Took 1 hr to do report over phone.
James “Mister Toad” Compton: After an exhausting day of delayed flights, rental car fiascos and Uber runarounds, being greeted by Nicole was a breath of fresh air. She checked me in promptly and helped me familiarize myself with the hotel in a matter of seconds. She’s a shining example of what the hospitality industry needs. Thanks so much! I’ll be back again soon!
Mister Bigpants: The A/C in my room is atrocious. I have the preset down to 60° and it won't go below 70.Everything else is great - namely the staff!
Julie Steffens: DO NOT STAY HERE! I never post bad reviews, but this was a horrible experience! We came for a girls trip for my friend’s birthday! We got to our room, which wasn’t anything special! We started getting ready, and not 20 minutes in…they knocked on the door and told us we were being too loud! We then started whispering, because they said we were going to get kicked out if we weren’t quieter. We got a call 15 minutes later, and they said we were still being loud! The room across the hall had music blaring, and they blamed it on us! We were walking out the door to go to the clubs..(keep in mind we hadn’t been drinking at all), when the women(Madison), called and said we needed to come to the front desk! We got down there (people were coming and going, doors shutting and opening), and they told us we we’re kicked out!! We live about 2 hours away, and it was 11:30 at night! I have never been treated like that before! Also I had to pay $21 for parking-(not refunded), and there was a $50 hold on the room! The website said it would be only $25! I did get the insurance on the room, so I eventually got my money back! I wasn’t able to drink with my friends to celebrate, because someone had to drive 2 hours home! If I could give 0 stars I would! The walls must be paper thin! So please find somewhere else to stay! I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone!
Devon Johnson: It’s a great hotel in a great location, but not in line with other AC Hotels that I’ve stayed at.First the good:The rooms are clean, though the furniture is starting to show its wear and tear. Service and housekeeping was wonderful - and was impressed by the little details that made the stay special.John the bartender is phenomenal; he’s personable and offered great drink recommendations. Try the old fashioned that is lit on fire! There’s also lots of free street parking on the side streets, I found the area to feel pretty safe during the weekdays. The bad:The breakfast leaves much to be desired and is not in line with the AC standards at all. Poor selection, lack of hot food items, I’ve had better breakfast at the Fairfield. The rooms could use some fresh paint, replacing some of the lamps and fixtures. AC hotels have always been associated as a more premium mid range brand to me - a deep cleaning / fixture replacement that’s beyond simple housekeeping would go a long way!

Andrew Trembath: Pretty rooms, but that's it.-Elevator was broken at check in-Keycard maker was broken, so they couldn't give me a key until later-Slow internet-First front desk person was great. Second was TERRIBLE. I noted that the dumpster gate was banging in the wind outside my window all night, and asked that it be shut, and he simply said, "I guess someone left it open." When I asked again if it could be closed, he did not respond. I said thank you, and he still didn't respond.
Eric S: Room was in rough shape. Flooring was coming up. Stains on the wall. Was double charged for the room (got it removed but still a hassle). The location of the hotel was great and the staffing was nice.

Ibrahim Chalhoub: Love the location. Food was good. Housekeeping was not. Had some guy come in without knocking saying I should have checked out at 12 when I just got here at 3:05pm??? Didn't make sense, probably got there too early(?) And thought I was the previous guest. Housekeeping also didn't really clean my room. They didn't vacuum. Didn't take the trash out. My chair was broken....? Parking garage beam to leave was broken several times, garage was hard to park in. All around a strange setup. Not happy about coming back. Marriott needs to figure it out where.

Aj Visage: The hospitality was extremely mediocre. Every time I have stayed at this hotel something is under renovation. The first time was due to a water leak back in January/December time frame. Now this most recent time the bar in the lobby is under renovation due to mold that was found after the first incident. The shuttle is also a joke. I followed their protocol to get picked up from a location only 5-7 minutes away by texting the provided number. After waiting for 20 min I called the hotel to see if the shuttle was being sent. Long story short an hour later I ended up walking back to the hotel in the heat and humidity. What made this such a big deal is this caused me to almost miss my flight and I finished out the rest of my day feeling gross since I sweated my behind off walking back to the hotel. The manager I spoke with wanted to smooth everything over by giving me 20k Marriott points but surprise surprise... no points had made it to me. Thanks for the mediocre service in your mediocre hotel. For my next company training I will be sure to recommend anywhere else but here!
Stephanie Speidel: Gigi at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. She really went above and beyond for welcoming us and for telling us about local restaurants. The roomsRooms: The room is huge. Very clean and decent views of the area.
Dale Taylor: Did not meet my expectations. I expect the room to be made up daily. Not here. Every other day. In the meantime you live with the mess in which you left the room when you left in the morning. Pretty bad.Rooms: The room was large, clean and comfortable but only for the first day of my stay since they only make up the rooms even other day. I have never encountered this before and it is pretty unpleasant to come back expecting a clean room and to find a mess. I would never stay here again for more than one day.
Robert O'Connor: A little tired and used

Cyndi Wu: We have a frat party across the hall and called downstairs multiple times. The manager was rude and cut me off when I was telling him what was happening. Never introduced himself properly. So unprofessional and no wonder he never solved the problem. He said would give one warning before kicking them out. We complained multiple times and it went on past 2 am. We had to go in the hallway multiple times telling these drunk kids to be quiet. They were drunk and slurring no doubt about it. This is not just the worst Marriott experience but was the worst hotel experience ever to exist. A nightmare! A nice relaxing weekend turned out to be a big joke. To think we ever considered having our wedding in a Marriott hotel is crazy. We dodged a bullet. Rude and ineffective management fosters chaos and substandard hotels.

We were very excited for our stay as we were celebrating a friends birthday, but the awful service from the man at the front desk left a bad taste. Will not be returning here in the future. Unprofessional. The room was adequate.
