James Symmonds: Chain stores in an open air mall setting. Seems to be on a slow decline. Absolute shame that they knocked down a classic part of Plaza architecture for someone who has decided to pull out. That's going to be a hard recovery and I suspect that the soul of the plaza is going to continue to get sucked out of the place by developers. Update: sure enough. Plaza lighting really sucked this year.
Les Bro: It is always nice to get to the Plaza. It's a great date night place. I love it in the summertime in the evenings. The fountains are beautiful and romantic.There are lots of restaurants and stores to stroll through during the day. If you are visiting Kansas City, the Plaza is a great place to go. You will see all types of people, especially in the summertime. It is a great place to people watch.Unattended teens have a 9:00 pm, police enforced curfew.

Carter Taylor: It’s a known issue that the restroom accommodations are a huge issue and that the lack of publicly accessible facilities is a major failure of planning, a barrier to those who have disabilities and discriminatory against women. It does not matter if it’s you or your small child, they will not let you use the restrooms in many stores and even restaurants. They’ll send you down the street and you have to hope that the one place that lets others use the bathroom will be open, have no line, and not be out of order like they often are when handling that volume of people. These policies may have been put in place to prevent the unhoused from being in the area, but they majorly impact other groups as well.

Fallon Allcock: Very pricey! Definitely plan accordingly. Rooms were okay, clean but nothing too special unless you buy the more expensive stays. Sofa bed was not comfortable. Breakfast (additional charge) was tasty but took forever to get through since there are so many people at a time going. Pools were great and the lifeguards were very alert. Bars made very overpriced drinks but the service was great and all very friendly. Fun activities for the kids in the main lobby so check the schedules! Close enough to other places if you'd rather not eat dinner on site. Changing rooms in waterpark smelt of straight urine so wear your shoes! Lockers were $13 to keep change of clothes.

Lisa Crawford: First time in Great Wolf lodge Kansas city. It has a very small indoor Waterpark. The food at buffet was OK, also it is a small buffet the food wasn't worth the price that they charge. I recommend eating out. The magi quest game looked good but then a lot of the stops for the game where broken. So instead of waisting the money we skipped it. Some of the kids activities where great--like the build the bear, mini golf, laser tag, and arcade. Not a big fan of the staff most of them seemed to not enjoy their job. No enthusiasm or smilies from any of them. All in all this great wolf lodge is good for a quick 1 or 2 day or weekend trip for locals. But I wouldn't go out of my way to come here from another state. This hotel doesn't have the same feel as some of the other great wolf lodges, granted I have only been to 2 others (MN&TX) but they were better than this one. It's an older lodge and you can tell. The location is great, it's close to legends mall area-nice shopping, and great movie theater(with bar for adults). The zoo in KC is amazing definitely recommend.Rooms: Need updates.Nearby activities: The KC zoo is amazing. Legends mall next store great theatre's and shopping. Karissa Russell: Worst experience ever!! I was overcharged and told it would be credited back to me while I was staying in the hotel. Once I got home and the charges went through they never corrected the over charge. Also, my daughter and her friend came back with staff infection. I have tried contacting the 800 number and they say that all they can do is transfer me to the hotel directly. I tried that three times and nobody ever answers the phone. I called the 800 number again demanding help. They said all they can do now is give me an email to write to. I did that over a week ago and no response. I will be sharing this experience with everyone I know! Don’t stay here!!

Brianna Shaffer: This was a Priceline surprise hotel. The overall hotel wasn't bad. You can tell it used to have smoking rooms, but it is what it is with that.As a solo female traveler, the hotel seemed a little more distant for walking to restaurants alone. I was walking past the Vietnam memorial wall and a homeless guy laying on the ground next to his full shopping cart kept yelling seemingly at me. I just turned around and went back. I'm from two states away and was paying thru. Two years ago I stayed at another hotel closer to the restaurants and didn't have that same feeling.

The staff were nice, and were doing their best with what is honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.My bathroom smelled of sewage, and gnats were flying out of the sink faucet. The beds, while pretty comfy, creaked loudly whenever I would turn. There was seemingly no AC in the hallways, making them sweltering in the Missouri summer.The saddest part of the whole experience was the complimentary "breakfast", if you could even call it that. Their breakfast was just stale bread and bagles in a bread box with a toaster that didn't toast, some apple and orange juice and some yogurt in a wine cooler. They said they don't do eggs or bacon anymore because of COVID, but the pandemic was 3 years ago. Why even advertise a breakfast if that's what's waiting for your guests?The hotel seems to be in a constant state of disrepair. Paintings covered up holes in the wall, there were signs all over the place saying how they are undergoing sewage and water projects, and I even overheard a lady complain about how one of the hotel treadmills caught on fire.I said this once and I will say it again. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here.By the way, their website advertises that if you call them, you'll get the best prices for their rooms. This is not true; use Trivago (or another website like that) instead.

Sissy Neal: Beautiful location with ample parking and comfy rooms. Downside is the breakfast is very lacking. Both days we stayed we were offered mini cinnamon rolls, bagles, bread and yogurt. Drinks are coffee, water, apple and orange juice. Traveling with small children and it just didn't provide many options for them either. I will say the breakfast area was kept quite clean and staff was very friendly. But keep in mind the limited breakfast. There was road construction going on outside and loud activity at night considering it right in downtown but otherwise satisified.
Lucas Fogaca: Amazing hotel! My family and I were very well received and well taken care of by the staff during our almost 3 week stay. The location of the hotel is also great, being close to several bus routes that lead to various destinations, including the downtown . Many thanks to the staff who were very helpful and to the receptionist Victor who spoke Portuguese and gave us many tips on how to make the most of our stay. By the way, the breakfast offered by the hotel is hearty and delicious as well. I will definitely stay at this hotel again whenever I come back to KC.

Besides that, it is close to the public transportation, which makes it easier to go downtown.The staff was awesome. Timothy Taylor: Location is next to a gas station that was frequented by loud music playing and screaming people both nights of my stay. One period lasted 3 hours till the police showed up - and took 30 minutes of sirens and PA system orders to leave the property. It was like an episode of Cops!My room has brown carpet - always suspicious. My bath mat had a huge hole in it that couldn’t be an oversight. The o only ice machine was on the top floor - not very convenient to their first floor guests. The free breakfast was pretty basic - dry bagels and bread. The yogurt was bad. Tiny cups were provided for the juice. You had to go to the front desk for decaf coffee. The cinnamon rolls Sunday morning were tasteless. Avoid.

Lindsay “Sweet Clucker” T: This bbq place in Kansas City was recommended to us by multiple people, it exceeded my expectations! It was just what I wanted. The brisket and the ribs were my favorite! The ribs were the best I have ever had. The beans were a little sweet for my liking but everything else was great. We sat at the bar and the service was really good and attentive. Elena McNickle: I have never been a big BBQ fan.This place is hands-down the best barbecue I have ever had and I would have it any day. It doesn’t matter what kind of mood I am in, Q39 always makes my mouth water. It is the only place I have been where the brisket has a perfect smoke line, will literally fall apart with your fingers, and has no fat on it. The burnt ends are to die for. And I highly recommend the best wings on the planet for your appetizer, they are called that for a reason.If you are coming on a Friday or Saturday night, or there is a game of some sorts, call ahead to reserve seating or you will have a long wait. The wait is totally worth it, but still.Unfortunately I am moving out of the area soon and I will say this place is probably what I will miss most about KC, and if I ever come back to visit, I will eat here in a heartbeat.Parking: Parking is very hard to come by on a busy night, usually you have to park across the street or somewhere you are not supposed to.

Dakota Smith: They always have what I needed at reasonable prices and idk if it was the manager or the owner, all I remember about him was his iPhone had twitter notifications like every 5 seconds which was kinda funny lol. He was extremely helpful though. He stands at the front door and helps people as soon as they come in the door. A huge 180 from big box hardware stores where I can never find an employee.

Casey Donahue: Was referred here by my primary care physician for a knee injury. After two visits, they still have not requested the MRI I was sent here for. Charging me for x rays that I had already had done and providing zero guidance on how to treat my injury. I would suggest finding a place that will listen to their patients needs, urgent care was more helpful in an hour than this place has been over the course of two visits.
Joseph Littich: I showed up willing to work and figure out a diagnosis. Absolute minimal effort on their part.

Akirah Miyamura: Called over the phone and as nice as the staff was, they refused me treatment for being a homeless youth. I have a torn rotator cuff in need of an immediate orthopedic assistant and I have a guardian willing to present ID, and have paperwork saying I have the authority to make medical decisions for myself. They are following a policy that refuses to treat kids in desperate need and if it and refuse to even TALK about making an exception. It's immoral practices to turn away someone for not having an ID when they're still a minor. Despite me, repeatedly, saying I have a guardian who WILL present an ID they require that *I* have an ID as well, even though there is a guardian there. The staff is fine but morality and ethics are poor.
Dawn Martin: I would give 0 stars if I could. I cannot speak for the doctors because I never made it back to the doctors. At first I went to the urgent care, and no issue. They had me get an MRI. I did that, and was never contacted about the MRI. After a week I called the nurses like, and no one returned my call. Two days after I called the nurses line I called the front desk. They said that they never received my MRI reports and that I would be called by the end of business that day. I wasn’t called until the next day. I tried to let it slide.I came in for my follow up appointment. The woman who helped me at the front desk was so rude to me, I was literally speechless. My injury was related to workers comp. I was not aware of needing pre approval, so I came in with the paperwork from my adjuster. The woman at the front desk spoke about me on the phone loudly. Then she called me back up and said I no longer could have my appointment until I am pre-approved. I explained to her that I took off work, no one explained that to me, and that the doctor is only in their office once a month. She then asked me to step out of line so she could continue helping other people check in. She wouldn’t make eye contact, and could have cared less at all. I have never been treated so poorly. I would never go there now.
Patrick Miller: I had surgery on March 31 on my femur on March 31. After not being able to bend my knee after surgery I just kept being told that the bend will come or they can fix that with a second surgery. The second surgery has done nothing but cause more discomfort and lack of trust in all of these Doctors. The Nurses I have felt with have been super nice and helpful. When asked about the bruise I have now had on the back of my knee since July I was told “that’s interesting” then sent on my way. I’m beyond fed up and hope to find someone definitely not here though that can at least give me answers as to what’s going on.
Robert Miller: I wish I could do a split review. The Dr that did my surgery was great! Dr Jakoi.Unless he has something to do with billing I don’t have an issue with him. I had 3 post op visits to their office. The very first one they told me I had to pay my $40 co-pay.I said I don’t think so this is a post op visit. They didn’t ask on the second or third. But I received a bill for the third one later in the mail. I called and they said it’s been more than 90 days, you get charged for an office visit. I argued my point but they disagree. I only went to the visit because it was a follow up visit. I felt completely fine. Didn’t need to go other than the Dr had said I need to see you one more time and we’ll be done. Some Orthapedic issues take longer than 90 days to heal! I will go elsewhere for any other Orthapedic needs because of this billing practice!
Kris Williams: They provide decent care. The reason I am rating them so low is due to the iPad patient form system they use, it is absolute garbage. I've been a software developer for 25+ years and I would be ashamed to put code like that in a production environment.For me, it didn't save my address, for another patient it didn't save his list of medications, and for a third it wouldn't accept her name. I could tell the receptionist had heard about issues way too many times. Finally entering your entire medical history on an iPad is an issue for many, especially older patients.I then tried to provide feedback through their website, but the contact web app would not send my email.
Charmayne Robertson: I was impressed with how quickly I was seen. I wish there had been a couple questions I could have asked before leaving. You know, you think of them as soon as Dr leaves. Also would be nice to have a card or something with the Dr name as I can’t remember who I saw. It was a female, maybe a Sarah??
Matthew Fetters: After months of not knowing what my injury was Dr Jeffrey Bradley figured out that I had a rare break in my wrist he is the most professional awesome surgeon I have ever met and I am grateful that he is letting me get a part of my life back thank you so much Dr Jeffrey Bradley for helping me for believing me and most important for fixing me I highly recommend this place and if you have a wrist injury Dr Bradley is your man
Stephanie Hutson: This is the worst place ever especially Dr. Roberts. All he cares about doing is cutting he doesn't care if your injury is healing or not. My gut told me to go get a second opinion and I am so thankful I did. My new doctor stated there should have never been anything said about amputation because I have a good working foot. Dr. Roberts did no after surgery X-rays or anything to see if everything was healing. He just said my foot would need to be cut off. Please DO NOT go to this office hate to see people loose body parts for no reason.
Scott Wilmes: Appointment went fine but good luck getting someone on the phone or returning your call. I finally gave up after 30 minutes on hold just assuming that nobody was actually there and just left their phones on to waste my day.

Jon Bidwell: Dr. Jakoi and his staff at Orthopedic Health KC are incredibly unethical individuals. The doctor refused to even have a consultation with me because I didn’t have x-rays to provide them with. I was not informed x-rays were required when I made the appointment. I didn’t have time for new x-rays and simply asked if I could speak with the doctor or come back for them. I was told the doctor refuses to see me. I provided them with an MRI taken less than two weeks ago, and they failed to have these images on-hand for examination at my appointment even though I arranged their transfer weeks earlier. So they instead wanted me to get x-rays, with them, on the spot, for a verbal consult. Dr. Jakoi’s nurse told me, flat out, “You will have to leave and schedule another appointment for your cervical spine.” Funny thing is, I wasn’t in the office for a cervical spine issue, which is yet another factor that doesn’t exactly lend a lot of confidence to the professionalism of this medical office. Regardless, I did call to do that from the parking lot immediately because I’m in a great deal of pain, and the receptionist told me the next appointment was in September. It’s March. I asked if there was anything they could do to make an exception. They said Samantha the office manager would call me. Still waiting. Samantha? Dr. Jakoi? Nope, no one cares. Dr. Jakoi and Orthopedic Health KC are substandard medical practitioners in every sense of the word substandard. If you want to arrive in pain, and leave stressed, unseen, unhelped and unrecognized as a patient… this is the orthopedist for you.
Bryan Forbes: Very attentive staff, doctors listen to you, quick to respond to questions and concerns. Fixes the problems and explains procedures in a manner that you can understand. Over all great experience.

Robyn Kendle: Overcome with an awful smell when entering the hotel. Staff was friendly, and very helpful. Drinks from bar were well crafted. Room didn’t smell like the main floor, but was stuffy. Bathroom was full of hair. What sealed the deal for me was the comforter on the bed. I’m guessing this is blood, but not sure.
Brent Winterberg: I was there for a seminar, not an overnight guest. Facilities were clean and staff friendly. The only problem was trying to get into the hotel from the parking garage. Required to call security to get in, and they don't seem to be right there monitoring it, so it took a while each time.

Our room was ok but not totally clean. Bugs on the floor between the furniture and the walls. We choose not to look under the bed. Staff did not care to do anything after multiple requests. Do not waste your money at the IC. Stay at a different hotel in the plaza.

Jeffrey Gonzales: Location was great and the lobby and common areas felt like old fashioned luxury. But once you got to the room it was not luxurious. I found more than a few black curly hairs on the bathroom floor, toilet, and shower. The bed didn't have a fitted sheet, it was just a flat sheet over the plastic sheet. The restaurant was sad. I ordered a salad during the lunch rush of only 3 tables. The salad took 20 minutes to come out with no dressing. I asked for dressing and waited 15 minutes but I had to go. I was still charged $18 for that salad. I give 3 stars instead of 1 because the location is great and the bartenders were fantastic.Rooms: Dirty. Gross. Not well maintained.Food & drinks: Food was sad. Drinks were stellar!
Ken Hetherington: Unexpected and welcome upgrade to a Presidential Suite for a 9 night stay. But overall definitely not 5*. Mostly 2* with mostly bad service and restaurant manager the most rude I have encountered anywhere. Food: appalling to very poor. Total lack of staff inc agency staff without knowledge of standards. A few exceptions but overall bad! Very poor communications so hotel problems, of which were many, were not forewarned or explained. Major problems with telecommunications systems- especially phones but also sketchy internet. The exception was Club Lounge Steward - Don who understood guest satisfaction and went extra mile to make guests feel special and provide a great ambiance. Nevertheless the food in Club Lounge was appalling in both quality and range - Inedible! I surmise hotel lacked competent chef(s).

Megan Roedel: We have stayed here numerous times and it has really gone down hill. The staff are great but the room was absolute garbage for the price. The air conditioning was set at 72 degrees and you can't adjust it, the wallpaper is pealing off, stains on the carpet and furniture, the exhaust fan in the bathroom doesnt work, and the bathroom doorknob kept coming off. We won't be staying here again.
Masa Kanayama: I stayed in this hotel few times before. But this time, the service was terrible at front desk. The front desk person does not even know the room category I booked and she assigned to me two steps down graded room despite I paid the price. Finally the manager came in and corrected her mistake. The room balcony needs to be renovated since there are mold like green stains in the balcony. Overall it was a disappointment stay here. This is not the same intercontinental I knew before.
Bill Holbrook: Was upgraded to a king suite. Room was big with two balconies and two full bathrooms. Staff was very attentive and quick to help however they could. The area is nice and plenty to do within walking distance.A/C in bedroom was not working but they had someone come up immediately when I called the front desk to inform them. Nathan Cabeen: This probably the most expensive hotel I have stayed in and also the worse experience I've had. No ac in the room, they came in to fix it and it still didn't work. Told us they'd meet us at a different room. Waited 30 minutes and they didn't show up. Finally got into a room with working ac 3 hours after we checked in. They refused to give any kind of a refund and barely apologized to us. Would not recommend and will not be back.
