The Raphael Hotel, Autograph Collection: what do users think?
Shere-Ling Kraus-Yao: From time to time I need to stop at this place to finish my paper or reading, or etc, before my next stop as I had eaten at the bar downstairs the restaurant and bar even though I don’t stay here, The hotel attendees always were welcoming me the same!!!Nearby activities: There are many activities throughout the year including holidays at the Plaza and near by! Good for regular strollers or special trip travelers to this city.Food & drinks: Very tasty but pricy!
Nancy Draffen Brown: Beautiful hotel with A-1 service. Within walking dustance of the Plaza.Rooms: Beautiful and spacious suitesNearby activities: Shopping, museum, hospital, groceries, restaurants galore and more!Walkability: Most activities were in walking distance. The area was very walkable.

Sherri Berger: Omg...love, love this hotel. It's a beautiful boutique hotel. Everyone working there was so nice, friendly, and helpful. They bent over backwards to make my stay a good one...and I got upgraded to a large, beautiful suite which added to the incredibleness of my trip.Rooms: Exquisite decor...very peaceful and elegant. Beautiful art, all the conveniences, lots of USB outlets, Kurig coffee machine with really good coffee pods, TV with Netflix and Amazon prime, love the deep tub, bathroom has a beautiful marble floor, plush towels, great pillows and bedding. A Godley: The Raphael Hotel was just lovely! Such character and ambiance, beautiful! Our room was excellent! Clean and nicely decorated! We had a great view of The Plaza too! Everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved that Chaz is both their restaurant and bar with live music! How enjoyable! Loved that we could walk to and from the plaza area. Lots of shopping and fun things to do. We had a lovely stay!
Debbie Simpson: The accouting department is lacking. I always have to request an itemized receipt more than 2 times. As of today I've emailed 3 times for 3 different dated receipts for my manager. sitll nothing. Now I am going to contact the General Mgr.Noteworthy details: Need to train accounting to get the job done
Tiffany Pollard: This was my first stay at The Raphael Hotel, Autograph Collection. I stayed in a 1 king suite for 2 nights (Sunday - Tuesday) for a work event.ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: I arrived at 1:30p; check-in took a couple minutes max. Very efficient!ROOM: Prior to arrival, I contacted the hotel to request a quiet room away from elevators. I was assigned room #909.• Amenities: Hair dryer, Keurig, luggage racks, mini fridge (keeps drinks very cold!), robe, safe; no microwave• Bath: The only real issue with my stay - loved the deep tub & excellent pressure, but the water bounced between scalding hot & freezing cold. It happened both mornings & one evening, so it wasn't a fluke. In fact, I couldn't even stand under the shower head the second day.• Bed: Bed was decently comfortable, but the sheets were rough/scratchy. I'm glad I brought my own soft pillow.• Cleanliness: Very clean! Housecleaning tidied up my room before 1p the next day.• Decor: Standard• Heating/cooling: Comfortable temp, quiet unit• Sound: Very quiet• TV: Smart television. Clear reception w/ decent selection of channels.• View: 49th & Wornall (back of the hotel)• WiFi: Strong, worked well in room & conference areaCUSTOMER SERVICE: Excellent all-around, including the bellhop, front desk, valet, even the chat feature. In addition, the hotel graciously honored late check-out, which worked out perfectly for my work event.LOCATION/PARKING:• Location: Within walking distance of many restaurants & shopping• Parking: Included in our meeting rateWould I recommend/stay again? Andy Parker: We used the Fontaine to host multiple corporate training events. Beyond just being a great hotel, the AV crew was phenomenal! Great support, very professional.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
LaToya Garcia: Terrible experience at this hotel and pool! My daughters were assaulted by a group including a male physically pushing my daughter. The management DID NOT handle it properly! They did NOT call the police on the aggressors AND they put my girls in a back room as the aggressors continued to yell racial slurs at my kids. They told the aggressors to leave but before they left the management allowed them to VIDEO my girls while they laid out by the pool. Our girls called the police NOT the hotel management or staff! When I arrived the male manager had a smirk on his face the whole time and wouldn’t give me his card or name/info instead he told another employee to get her card, he was completely useless. This hotel is not safe for young women!

Charlotte Kovacs: Lakota is a true asset to your business. He drove us places, was very friendly, gave us great suggestions on restaurants in the area, and even helped us carry our luggage down from the room. We were on a mother- daughter get away. Lakota made sure we were taken care of and he was very professional at all times.Rooms: Great room!
mswenna74: When I first walked in I was pleased with the environment, however I was taken when I entered the pool area, being the only black female other than a few employees. And noticed silence as I entered and walk to be seated, feeling should I go or I stay but then I decided to adjust to an environment that first seemed, public or invite only if you no what I mean, the salad and wine was great would I go back yes I would, why cause this is AMERICA and we are ONE,Food & drinks: Great
Isabelle Myzer: I didn't rent a room, so I can't really say how the rooms were. However I did dine at the 9210 and the service was AMAZING! Our waitress Nikki was incredibly nice and funny! She took a picture of my friends and I and hilariously took a self y! The restaurant is also incredibly nice with a great view! Will be back!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More

Jimmy Shelton: Overall, it was a great experience, rooms are clean beds comfortable. The only thing that was disappointing was the restaurant. the wait staff at the bar were not very attentive. We had to go out of our way to get their attention, overall not great at the bar and restaurant, lobby staff while checking in were great. The coffee bar in the morning is cool but not complementar, we ate breakfast elsewhere.
Rachel Jackson: Pros:- nice lobby area and outdoor seating area- very polite and friendly staff who were attentive to our needs- location is convenient if you plan to go the country club plazaCons:- the lampshade on the main lamp in our room was obviously broken and kept falling off the stand- the entire place feels dirty; the hallway and room carpets were visibly dirty and stained- the fitness center has very limited equipment and was missing many of the items featured in the photos- there were no USB ports for charging items; the iHome provided was very outdated and broken- some of the outlets in our room would not hold the electric plug and were not functional- the rainfall shower was barely dripping and had horrible water pressure- we tried to use the rooftop pool but it was very crowded; the pool area is very small and they allow non-hotel guests to use it so there is limited room for hotel guests- I was supposed to receive my receipt via email but it never arrivedThe entire place needs to be updated to current technology and functioning. It feels like a hotel with amenities from 2010. The staff were the only saving grace.
Brooke Sanders: Rooms: We arrived at 6 pm and found the carpet wet in our room. GROSS / is it a leak ? Is it sewage ? We were assured it would be taken care of - 3 hours later - nothing ! And the front desk told us to go find Cassie at the bar ! She told us she didn’t have time to check her email bc she has a luau going on? And told me to stop talking . Worst customer service ever .
Mason (cmd-space): Keito and the rest of the team were great!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Ashley Millang: Over the top customer service! All employees were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a great stay.Walkability: Right on the plaza- great location!
Arnetia Nelson: Great location and the staff is great and friendly. Room wasDirty, carpet in the room in front of the bed was nasty, the lamps were malfunctioning flickering off and on I’m assuming that’s why they were unplugged. Booked room for two guest only one set of towels were in the room.Hallway floors were filthy. Definitely not a 5 star hotel.

Best Western Country Inn - North: what do users think?
Ronald Roberson: Way overpriced for where it is and what's available. It was clean and everything worked. Great shower. ☺️
Robin Paige: Was a nice place very clean would for sure stay againRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Dolline Budke: Nice clean rooms. Good breakfast with bagels, waffles, boiled eggs, yogurt, and juice. Friendly atmosphere and very laid back.Rooms: Nice, clean, quiet. Some kid noise but only for a little bit. Low tub. Good hot water.
Don Bennett: I wouldn't consider this place a hotel or "Inn". It's more like a motel. Room doors are on the exterior of the property. If I would of known that, I would of found another place for the night. Of course that's just me. The room seemed clean enough. One of the towels had a stain on it. Not sure if it's a burn or what, but I just ended up using my own towel, just in case.
Terri McBride: This is an okay Best Western on the Northside of KC. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room had been updated. The furniture in the room was worn and showed its age. The breakfast room is small and the breakfast items were just okay.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Amy Goff: They show that they have a pool but when you check in they tell you they don't have a pool. there is no pool people they won't clean it or something I don't know what their excuses Is, But I know places like this always advertise that they have a pool and they have free breakfast and then they give you a muffin or a breakfast bar. And no pool. I think it's wrong to advertise that you have a pool if you're not gonna open the pool.
Lindsay Velez: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked this hotel with the expectation of getting a non-smoking, king room. We arrived to the hotel around 8pm to check-in and were notified that we were switched to a room with double beds that upon entrance smelled like smoke and was dirty. I contacted the front desk and the person at the front desk spoke to the manager who said that we could not cancel the reservation because it was after 4pm. I told the person that had we been notified of the change we would have cancelled before 4pm. Rather they made the decision for us and refused to allow us to cancel despite it being their fault that we were NOT notified. Mind you, the person at the front desk said that the manager was there in the morning and was the one that made the change. The manager could have made us aware of the change when it was initially made, but instead, made the change for us and refused to allow us to cancel when we arrived. The third party that I booked the hotel with contacted the hotel for a refund as well but they refused. They told the third party that they could place me in a king room, yet they told me that they didn't have any king rooms available because the king room that was originally the one I booked had plumbing issues, which is why they couldn't put me in that room. I'm not sure how they made a room magically appear when they were called by the third party, but my guess is that we were going to be placed in the same room we were switched out of for plumbing issues. This just shows how much more interested management is in putting money in their pocket than the satisfaction of their customers. We ultimately left the hotel and did not stay, losing $100+, but something we don't regret. We hope that everyone reads this and strays away from this hotel. Spend the extra buck and go somewhere else!
Tim Karlinger: Rooms were very nice, comfortable beds and A/C worked great. Staff was very friendly and attended to our needs. The breakfast was very good, enjoyed the waffles and variety of breakfast items. Missed the pool though. Would definitely stay here when in KC again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Ron Ferrante: Comfortable, well-supplied room with king bed, non-smoking. Support bars installed in bath and next to the toilet. Great air-conditioning. Office staff were very supportive of my linen needs. Good, three-day visit overall. Jessica and Jonny Jones: A murder occurred during our stay. Oh, and the room smelled like cigarettes.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Chris Parks: Very disappointed in not only the quality of the hotel but that Best Western would put their name on it. Many of the staples of Best Western I've come to know from frequenting them for work just simply are not present at this facility. No Pool/Hot Tub, facilities not updated, no breakfast besides grab and go nonsense because Covid (yeah you read that right Covid preventing breakfast in 2023) and Short staffed, bed is worn out pretty badly. Very uncomfortable and thin matress. Also the price was pretty unreasonable. I've paid much less and stayed at much nicer Best Western facilities. Overall terrible facility in my opinion. Should be around $55/$60 a night for what they provide.
Becky Wrabetz: Very pet friendly!!! Room was clean, easy to get to. Good value for the money. Great water pressure. Only downside was the lighting in the bathroom, very dim. Would stay again.
Jennifer Thibault: My husband and I stayed a week. We had a small issue the first night but it was quickly resolved. The staff was helpful, the room was clean and the shower was Fantastic!

Ibrahim Chalhoub: Love the location. Food was good. Housekeeping was not. Had some guy come in without knocking saying I should have checked out at 12 when I just got here at 3:05pm??? Didn't make sense, probably got there too early(?) And thought I was the previous guest. Housekeeping also didn't really clean my room. They didn't vacuum. Didn't take the trash out. My chair was broken....? Parking garage beam to leave was broken several times, garage was hard to park in. All around a strange setup. Not happy about coming back. Marriott needs to figure it out where.
Kelevra G Vest: It's the Kansas City Marriott and it has 19 floors so great views from some rooms.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Aj Visage: The hospitality was extremely mediocre. Every time I have stayed at this hotel something is under renovation. The first time was due to a water leak back in January/December time frame. Now this most recent time the bar in the lobby is under renovation due to mold that was found after the first incident. The shuttle is also a joke. I followed their protocol to get picked up from a location only 5-7 minutes away by texting the provided number. After waiting for 20 min I called the hotel to see if the shuttle was being sent. Long story short an hour later I ended up walking back to the hotel in the heat and humidity. What made this such a big deal is this caused me to almost miss my flight and I finished out the rest of my day feeling gross since I sweated my behind off walking back to the hotel. The manager I spoke with wanted to smooth everything over by giving me 20k Marriott points but surprise surprise... no points had made it to me. Thanks for the mediocre service in your mediocre hotel. For my next company training I will be sure to recommend anywhere else but here!
Stephanie Speidel: Gigi at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. She really went above and beyond for welcoming us and for telling us about local restaurants. The roomsRooms: The room is huge. Very clean and decent views of the area.
Dale Taylor: Did not meet my expectations. I expect the room to be made up daily. Not here. Every other day. In the meantime you live with the mess in which you left the room when you left in the morning. Pretty bad.Rooms: The room was large, clean and comfortable but only for the first day of my stay since they only make up the rooms even other day. I have never encountered this before and it is pretty unpleasant to come back expecting a clean room and to find a mess. I would never stay here again for more than one day.
Robert O'Connor: A little tired and used
Cody: The shower could peel your skin off with the water pressure which I enjoy but the toilet would barely flush. Room was nice those and the staff were very helpful.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Cyndi Wu: We have a frat party across the hall and called downstairs multiple times. The manager was rude and cut me off when I was telling him what was happening. Never introduced himself properly. So unprofessional and no wonder he never solved the problem. He said would give one warning before kicking them out. We complained multiple times and it went on past 2 am. We had to go in the hallway multiple times telling these drunk kids to be quiet. They were drunk and slurring no doubt about it. This is not just the worst Marriott experience but was the worst hotel experience ever to exist. A nightmare! A nice relaxing weekend turned out to be a big joke. To think we ever considered having our wedding in a Marriott hotel is crazy. We dodged a bullet. Rude and ineffective management fosters chaos and substandard hotels.

Mandeep Ballagan: When asking a simple question about verifying tickets regarding the parking garage, the man at the front desk spoke with both arrogance and an awful attitude. We were very excited for our stay as we were celebrating a friends birthday, but the awful service from the man at the front desk left a bad taste. Will not be returning here in the future. Unprofessional. The room was adequate.

Southmoreland on the Plaza - An Urban Inn: what do users think?
omar s: Had an awesome stay here and will definitely look forward to staying here in the future again when I visit KC! Ryan Slack: Very disappointing. The house is still beautiful and the location is still great, but the experience was much worse than my previous stay. No breakfast. No staff on site. Broken coffee maker. Room too hot and no way to adjust temperature. Seemed very pricey for the experience that we received. Won’t be going back.
Linda Huning: What a wonderful historic home to stay in! Such a nice, cozy place! Everything we needed was included. Easy check in and check out. FJ Butter: We had three lovely nights at this inn and were thoroughly impressed! Elegant but still makes you feel right at home. Bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the veranda especially with all its windows over-looking the patio and manicured grounds. So close to the plaza, art museum, restaurants and pubs we could walk to. Staff was especially friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back again!!Nearby activities: All that downtown Kansas City has to offer! Easy walk to all. Especially the Kemper Art Museum!Walkability: The Inn is right downtown in the mix of all the fun atmosphere of city life with great restaurants, bars and festivities that you can simply walk to. But yet it is situated on a quiet side street where you can sit back on your own veranda and have your morning coffee or evening cocktail. Very cozy and elegant at the same time!
Amber B: Great location to activities and restaurants, combined with a cozy feel. Recommended!
Jeff Guenther: Unexpectedly better than we anticipated. Very centrally locatedRooms: Clean and nice sizedWalkability: Within walking distance to the Plaza
Danny Papke: We had an excellent stay recently as part of a romantic road trip. Very quaint, cozy, great bed. The location was very walking friendly. We try not to stay at too many chains so this independent location was very appealing. Easy check in and checkout. 5 starsRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Isabella Petri: We stayed in the George Kessler tonight and while it does have some great attributes cute interior, large tub, fireplace it just missed the mark. We had record low temps and slick roads and of course we couldn’t reschedule without a hefty fee despite inclement weather across the region. We got in late in the evening and looked at the menus for the area (a nice option, but menus are not current and we’re incorrect we specifically chose rye because they had my favorite dish to get there and it not actually be offered anymore along with several others). We returned to find a large hole in the fitted sheet and the matches wouldn’t light against the dispenser they were in it seemed others had trouble as several matches looked like they had tried to be striked and the lip of the fireplace looked like someone had tried to there as well. The bed was VERY firm for our liking and the room was SO bright from the lights it was difficult to sleep even with the blinds closed it needs better blinds or darker curtains. The window against the bed was also very drafty and the snow was not cleared well from the very limited parking. The toilet roll holder also completely fell off the wall and onto my foot taking a bit of skin with it. All in all it had the opportunity to be great but was just ok.
Gigi Keaton: The room was dirty. It seems like the floors weren't vacuumed in awhile. Jacuzzi was dirty no hot water. We have stayed here multiple of times in the past. It was our favorite spot and our get away place. Unfortunately, it's sad but the property isn't like it use to be and not kept up with. The property needs tons of care. We will not be returning here.
Philipp Umlauf: Well for starters the property is stunning. Very well maintained and very tastefully decorated. Modern where it counts but largely original.Room was luxurious, spacious, and super clean! Bed was Amazing!! We did Not want to get up.For us, the only thing we would change is the check out time...10am... Noon would be much better as we would have easily slept till 10 in that bed.10 out of 10 Highly Recommend! Would and Will stay again!!
C.L. Kesler: Gorgeous historical home turned into a peaceful safe haven in a great location! City life is walking distance but you wouldn’t know it from the quiet and calm. The common areas were stunning, relaxing, and adorable. The attention to detail with the provided notes, a binder with all the information you could need and want, the availability of glassware, the extras in the room should you be too warm or cold, and the his/her robes were above and beyond. The ambiance was lovely and welcoming. It would be an absolute shame to miss out on such a unique and special experience! Ten stars! ✨
Brian Davis: Had a wonderful stay. Convenient check in, smooth process.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jason Roepka: Certainly one of the best B&B's we've stayed at. The location and service were excellent. However, I've heard they've removed the breakfast offering, which is a shame; because it was always delicious.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Steve Schweitzer: It was ok- empty and lonely. Seems like we were the only ones there. Zero amenities - a cookie and a keurig. The bed was comfortable and good water pressure in the shower. That’s the highlights.Wouldn’t book again .Rooms: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Kay Byers: The change from a Select Registry historic Bed and Breakfast that we stayed in regularly for 20+ years to this self-serve "punch in to get in" hotel with small rooms, difficult parking, the absence of typical hotel amenities, lack of food offerings, poor lighting, inadequate small blurry mirrors, and no opportunity to interact with or ask questions of the innkeepers/hosts was disappointing. It now feels quite overpriced and lacking in destinational desirability. The heart and character that once was The Southmoreland Inn is now of a bygone era; traded for a cheaper, cost-cutting, commercial venture.
Carlo Lizano: Wonderful gardens, very quiet and safe place
Violet Vergara: This is a lovey place but extremely pricey for what you get. Finding parking for a midsized car was extremely difficult. There was nothing offered for breakfast other than coffee. One would think, considering the price of the accommodations, that there would be, at the very least, a variety of sweet rolls or something similar. I believe if you’re going to spend this amount of money for a room ($786.00 for three nights) that there would be a continental breakfast included. Also surprising was the added cleaning fee. This is a hotel after all.Why is there a cleaning fee?My room was very small and hot. You do not have the ability to control the temperature in your room. My room was too hot and the room my Daughter occupied was too cold. The lighting in my bathroom was so dim it was difficult to apply my makeup. The tub did not drain well and the toilet was the perfect size for a child. The fan in my Daughters bathroom was connected to the light switch. It was noisy and could not be turned off without turning the light off.Was it worth the price??? I don’t think so!!!
Jennekah Barnes: Absolutely beautiful property! I stayed for a quick business trip and it was in the perfect location. Very easy to find, contactless check in, easy to follow instructions for parking, wifi, entry to the house etc. The room was adorable with the most high quality linens, pillows, mattress, furniture, etc. Loved the upscale feel while remaining cozy and historical. 10/10 must stay when you are in Kansas City.

Extended Stay America - Kansas City - Country Club Plaza: what do users think?
Andrea R: The girls at the front desk were extremely nice, honestly, the only good thing I have to say about my stay. My daughter was in ICU at Saint Luke's, I needed a quick room to get some rest for the night, I choose the wrong place. The hotel is severely outdated and really sketchy.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5 …More

Alexa Smith: Words can not express how appreciative I am of the front desk service I received from Meg this morning (Thursday, March 23, 2023). I approached the front desk at 10:40am to beg for a late check out— mind you check out is at 11:00am. It’s tournament season and we missed our opportunity to extend our stay last week. I explained that we have another room at the Extended Stay America at the south location but wouldn’t be able to check in until 1:30pm at the very earliest. She offered to extend a late check out and in the same breath notified me that she had a cancellation on the books and that our stay could be extended. I was worried that we had already paid for our stay down south and before I knew it she pulled up our reservation and let me know that it was indeed book but I had not been charged just yet. Knowing that the room could be booked any second through an online reservation I raced back to the room to briefly discuss with my husband. We sped walked back to Meg at the front desk, we turned in our old room keys, paid our bill and as we were leaving she even offered to contact the south location to cancel our reservation for us. My husband had already taken care of it while I was paying— a detail that did not go unnoticed. Thank you for caring. Thank you for making my day easier.
Robin Arcus: Friendly staff. Needed a deep clean. Great 24/7 coffee.

Jourdan Brown: This will be your car if you stay here. They didn’t even bother to help, just said our cameras didn’t show anything. I had to miss work and I was on emergency heart attack call! I am confident that one of the hotel employees was involved in what I am told took two hours to trash my car, break the windows, steal my stuff. I will be inviting my people to help with this. This is a felony.
Tammy Timmons (TT): It's an ok place I guess...VERY over priced...what I paid for 2 rooms for 1 night I was able to get an airbnb for 7 days for only 125 more...very over priced and shower water pressure was aweful...not very clean common areas. Elmer Koch: Very nice staff rooms are kept up but the homeless is a problem, let me be clear I don't mean that being homeless is the problem just the fact that you stay there cause it's reasonable priced and right there at the plaza and there are homeless encampment strong about city needs to do betterRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 2/5 …More

Luna Lowery: Beware of bed bugs, my partner and I got chewed up and we were absolutely covered in itchy bites after being in our first room for two nights. The staff were kind at first, but they were not after we complained of bed bugs. They offered to pay to wash our clothes, but after a load or two they were so rude I just paid for the rest myself rather than interact with them.Don't expect house keeping, we were at this location for 2 weeks and our room was only cleaned once after we had been there a week and a half.
T Money: Paid for a set price of four days and then they said they can double the rate for a weekend event and kicked us out with no notice. Horrible treatment.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 4/5 …More

Kimberly Martinez: The rooms were clean, great amenities, and comfortable. Hotel staff were always friendly and informative. The location is perfect for a walking tour of the plazaGreat restaurants and shopping are all within walking distance. Mimo from the bar was absolutely amazing! Funny, great service, amazing cocktails, etc. He made the experience worth coming back for.
Agnel Ingalls: I’m extremely disappointed in an experience I had at this Hilton. I’ve been staying at this hotel for 2 days for work and I went to the front desk to ask for a bottle of water (I’m a diamond member) and The first thing out of this front desk person was “ did you just come off the streets” mind you I’m wearing a company shirt and black pants and came from the elevator. Really disappointed in his choice of words after realizing that I was staying there he tried to cover it up and saying nice things and proceeded to give me a bottle of water. I stay at Hilton properties every time I travel and sad to have had this experience.First thing to come out of your mouth when approached by a guest shouldn’t be “did you come off the streets”. I was clean with no paint holes or anything on my body. I shouldn’t have received that treatment.
Christie: Great place on the Plaza.
Jacob Bair: Tamica absolutely went above and beyond with her customer service here!! She helped me out when I was in serious need and is an absolute gem. I’ll be using Hilton in the future based on such thoughtfulness. Thank you so much.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

The bed and futon were very comfortable, our room had a nice view of the area, they have private, underground parking, and despite being packed, it was very quiet and peaceful. The staff was also incredibly kind and friendly - we had a long conversation with the receptionist about a shared interest, shout out to Robert!Overall an incredibly pleasant experience, we will definitely return.

Chateau Avalon, Ascend Hotel Collection: what do users think?
Madison Driggs: It was okay. The room we stayed in was pretty small. They didn’t have some of the necessities we needed. Breakfast was very good and it’s still a beautiful place just not what I expected.
Kim Ellis: My husband and I (Ribley) stayed this last Saturday. The property is gorgeous and we would have thought our room was as well if it would have been cleaner. We were in the Colorado Frontier that has cabin like wood walls that had a good inch of dust collected on them and the curtains were horribly stained . Yuk. They had a fan in the room that literally blew no air due to the dirt build up on the back. I did not complain and I’d love to go back if I knew it wld be clean. I love the concept. My other issue, we left the area casino a little early so we cld check out the hotel wine bar- it was closed. 930 sat night. I think others may have said something to the front desk because they found someone to open a little later.
April Paulino: Booked a room in January for June 17th 2023 in the Egyptian themed room. On 5/17/23 I get an email that my reservation was cancelled. Called the hotel and they can't find a reservation under my name. Was planning on staying here so we didn't have to drive home after a concert that night. Every hotel around is booked now. That's a horrible way to run a business. I can guarantee I'd never stay here after that and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either
Kimberly McDonald: This was supposed to be HAPPIEST DAY for my uncle and my god mother. Their HONEYMOON at Chateau Avalon Hotel. But it was not happy for them. To start they spent over $1300 dollars for their stay and while there the bed linens were never changed, they had to request towels a couple of times and they did not receive the breakfast that was included in there package nor what they ordered when they did order. The food tray was outside of their door where it was supposed to be but nothing ever came. They had to request trash bags and no one ever came to service the room the entire time that they were there, which is totally unacceptable based on how much these room cost. To add to all of that the elevator was out of service due to a fire the day before WHAT!!!! Yes a whole fire. Upon checking out they spoke to the manager on duty Christine and she apologized for all that happened BUT that won’t changed the fact that this was their HONEYMOON and was inconvenienced in many ways. I will be filing a formal complaint with the corporate office about this and I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. Please check reviews before you decide to reserve a room at this hotel.
Naomi Vaksdal: My husband and I first stayed at the Chateau 16 years ago when we were first married. We thought it would be fun to stay again after we renewed our wedding vows this past Sunday. We were quite disappointed in the cleanliness of the room we were in. When we asked for a different room, they said all the rest were either taken or dirty. We had stayed at the Chateau another time and had a good experience but we were highly disappointed this past week. The tub was dirty and the rest of the room felt dirty. Sadly, that was our last time staying at the Chateau.
Tiffany Gunnels: I love this place! I've been here several times and it's never disappointing. My favorite mini suite is the Mayan themed rooms. If you are looking for a resort style mini vacation not far from home this is the place to go. The food is good, the drinks are stiff, and the staff if friendly.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Romantic …More
Majenn01: I really like the hotel, just that it needs to be updated a little, and for some reason, my room was never refreshed while I was there and you can hear alot of foot traffic about the rooms and water leaks by the jacuzziRooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Justin Rausch: Rooms: Clean , elegant and romantic....perfect for are anniversaryFood & drinks: Had some drinks with the wife in the lounge while waiting on are room and Roger the bar tender is absolutely amazing, he kept it lively and was very outgoing, super fu lnny, would come back and have drinks again for sure.. oh yea and he got to grab my beard!!
Thomas Jackson: Place is great! Bartender amazing! I’m also a fan of how they respond to fake bad reviews
Joe A: We came here for a little staycation, and we couldn’t be happier. Off the busy areas and a very nice place with themed rooms. Just an absolute pleasure to stay at Chateau Avalon! We’ll definitely be back.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Romantic …More
Tyler Korgol: The place definitely lived up to expectations. Room was nice and clean. Bed was smaller than mine so it seemed small lol but still it was as it was described. Definitely will be back. Room service in the morning was awesome!Rooms: Big tub.Nearby activities: Legends, casino, tons of shopping
Diana W: Really nice place to stay. I gave the room a 4 for size. The cowboy was a tad smaller than the picture lead us to believe. Went to the bar for a drink but stayed much longer than planned. Stephanie the bartender was a true gem and a pleasure to talk to. Also fellow customers were fun and friendly to chat with.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Romantic …More
DC Cannamore: When I arrived on Friday evening, my TV service and internet stopped working after about 20mins (New York Penthouse). No matter the channel you turned to, you receive a still picture with an error message. The thermostat in my room was broken as well.I reported the incident to the front desk attendant, and she informed me that the entire hotel was without internet and cable service. She also informed me that if I hold the button on the thermostat for 15secs it should work. The solution she suggested for the thermostat did not work. The next morning I requested to speak to a manager ( I believe her name was Ashley). After I told the manager about my issues, she said she would give me a $88 discount for the cable and internet being down and also for the thermostat being broken. The room rate before the discount was $285 per night. The manager never suggested anything to fix the thermostat so I had to stay from Friday to Sunday with uncontrollable temperatures in my room.Hopefully this was a one off situation, but as my first time staying here, I would rate my experience a 4/10Rooms: Very unique rooms! Needs to be updated and renovated to have working services in the New York Penthouse and I imagine the others as well.
April Haley: This is a cute, interesting place to stay. It’s an experience, so expect that going into it. It’s beautiful on the outside and the event venue looks pretty cool, there were parties both nights. The only issue with that is the party guests park in the hotel lot when they’re not supposed to, and there’s not someone there who’s capable of preventing that. But it’s not their fault people don’t comply either. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked for new bedding because there were hairs and blood stains on my sheets that grossed me out. The new sheets still had hairs on them, so I’d say it’s just time to replace those. But the staff were nice about it and offered to remake the whole bed in the morning when more staff arrived, but I didn’t think that was needed. My room did smell musty and I’m going to assume from the hot tub. The hot tubs are not easy to get in and out and are kind of awkward, but very very relaxing. I couldn’t close the shower curtain all of the way to shower though, and there’s not another shower to use. The thing the curtain hangs on has been broken for a while, I can tell because there are marks on the walls from people trying to close them. Don’t stay in a room with stairs if you have trouble with them. It’s up and down every time you need to use the bathroom, go to the fridge, answer the phone or door, throw something away, etc. as only the bed is upstairs. It’s also not accessible, that I could see anyway. There’s quite a few, steep steps to go up to the front door. There were towels, wash clothes, robes, shampoo, condition, soap, and lotion for bathroom accommodations. The food is very very very good! For breakfast all you have to do is fill out a slip then hang it on your door. They deliver at the time you request and pick it up when you’re done. There are extra services like getting a cheese and fruit tray, which i did and it was actually my lunch because it was delicious and filling. There was a mention of the rooms needing a good deep cleaning, and I would agree. It’s not terrible, just for the price I expect much cleaner.Rooms: It’s an experience. The ergonomics of the New York rooms were awkward to me. It just wasn’t very comfortable moving about, the flow is offNearby activities: It’s away from highways and business, so very quietFood & drinks: Very very delicious! Biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs are the best.Noteworthy details: Friendly staff, delicious food, quite rooms.
Deana Moore: We came for 80s prom night and it was a blast. Our room was beautiful and staff was great.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Olivia Bisges: My boyfriend and I spent our first anniversary together here this weekend. We stayed in the Castaway Isle and really enjoyed the thematic room, giant bathtub with jets, and the suite layout. Unfortunately our stay did end on a sour note. We called to book our reservation a week in advance with the intent on getting a spa package. While on the phone we were instructed to finish booking online and to call to book our massages 24 hours in advance. My boyfriend followed the directions and when he called to book the massages, they said they were booked for the weekend. Luckily the manager worked to get us booked for a 12:15 slot, prior to us leaving and checking out. Unfortunately we we arrived for our massages they ended up being an additional $175, we told the front desk that we thought they were included in our package and she told us those packages were only available when booking over the phone. My boyfriend and I couldn't afford the additional charge so we asked to cancel and she said we needed to pay a $40 cancelation fee since we neglected to cancel 24 hours in advance. I was frustrated to say the least. I can't help but feel whoever initially went to book our stay did not feel like doing their job that day and instructed us to book online instead, which really ended up impacting our stay. All other employees were very helpful but this one person's mistake did take a damper on our otherwise fun and romantic staycation.
Sarah Petty: Don't waste your money. I paid $300/night and stayed 2 nights in the Egyptian room. The room was much smaller than what I was expecting. The "jetted" 2 person tub was not jetted, the buttons were there but did not work. I paid extra to get the chocolate covered strawberries, but never received them. And the check-in.. The morning of I received an email and did the pre check-in check-in, drove over 4 hours to get there and when we do they tell us my reservation was canceled. They did work out on their end but this just added to the overall disappointment. Then the food. Can't forget the food. The menu shows you this artisan menu of various flatbreads, what you get looks like a frozen Jack's pizza and tastes like cardboard. I tried to order a hot apple pie drink that they showed under their specials but got a call after the order was placed saying that's a fall special only. Which I understand, but if that's the case then it shouldn't be advertised.I cannot stress enough, do NOT waste your money. Go somewhere, anywhere else.
Haley Jane: Honestly, I was not that impressed with my stay here. For the price of the room, I didn’t expect everything to be and look so cheap (like the toiletries, bed, blankets, and the robes provided). We got the Havana room, which online looks wonderful. However, the room shares a wall with the hotel bar, so all we heard til 1130 were drunk people yelling and moving around. We wanted a quiet get away from the kids and it just was not what I was expecting. Also, the hot tub in the room has not been cleaned since lord knows when. There was instantly a line of black stuff dirt, and hair on the water (picture is attached showing this line). For $300 a night, I could have stayed anywhere else and had a way better experience.
Art Romero: The only highlights was the roses I paid for. Was disappointed in the presidential suite. The room was dirty . Butterfinger wrapper on floor next to tub , pair of dirty socks underneath bed and candle wax was left over the chess table where the roses were placed instead of being next to bedroom
Eric Englert: Nice hotel and staff! A couple recommendations though for the future. First, I would double check under the bed and the over all room for cleanliness. We found a few things that should have been caught easily by someone cleaning, nothing major though. We had the Caesar room which was very dark and no lightning above the Jacuzzi/shower. Which by the way was a bit difficult to even get into. I would recommend adding some lighting, maybe some LEDs under the huge mural on the wall and one on the Caesar statue. I think it would certainly change the ambiance and feel to the room. Rooms were small with one tiny full round window to look out of. The pics in the Google maps make it look substantial bigger. Also, one 2 panel plug in the bedroom is not enough for modern day society with phones, laptops and iPads. People were a little loud above our room late, but there was kids and a wedding there that night. We enjoyed the massage and breakfast in the am. Overall a good experience and we were pretty happy. Thanks!
Brandon Williams: Very chill and romantic like an anniversary should be. Everything we expected and more.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Austin Martin: The hotel is ok, more of 3.5-4 stars. Clearly not super updated but this is an economical option for the area. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. Parking is a bit odd but there. Overall this isn’t a bad option for the area especially if you are trying to stay for an extended period of time. There are nicer options but they are more hotel life less apartment long term life.
Kecia W: Very nice hotel. Overall it was a front desk rep by the name of Rockey that’s he said his name was he was very nasty rude unhappy unprofessional and mean. My Dad came down stairs to let me in and he accidentally left his key he did not want to let us in he was so nasty about it and body movement was terrible he told my dad you need to have your key next time cause I won’t be letting you back in just nasty!! I hope my dad never comes across again my dad isn’t a pushy man and just ignored him he was terrible and needs a new job
Blaine Kaiser: You are definitely paying for location with this property. I have had way nicer rooms for half the price, they just aren't right next to such great shopping and restaurants.-The staff who checked us in was very friendly and helpful-Breakfast was your standard free breakfast, but the dining room was very nice.-Our room has an outside entrance, similar to an apartment building. So to get to the main lobby, vending or breakfast, it's a bit of a trek, especially when it's 24° outside.-Walls are paper thin, the people above us left their dog behind who barked nonstop and left the tv on and turned way up to try and drown out the dog noise.-Room was clean, but dated.-Bed was hard as a rock, so if you like an ultra firm bed, this is the place for you.-Parking garage holds about 20 cars, be prepared to find street parking

Brian W: Great location if you want to do some shopping right next to the plaza. Literally a one or two minute walk. Apartment style hotel room. If you’re not in the main building, you will be expected to carry luggage up the stairway. Lots of reviews about the odor, I could smell it but wasn’t the end of the world. For 250 bucks a night I would expect a little more higher end room quality but with the location what do you expect. The breakfast was very good!
Torrie (IamCodetorr): Pros: Good location, free breakfast, free parking, safe, plenty of options to eat and shop nearby and friendly customer service. Loved having the option to have an outside entrance to access my room. Room was spacious, clean, no bed bugs, smart TV, and all the utensils needed to have an extended stay.Cons: lack of good hot options for breakfast (they did have fruit, cooked eggs, sliced ham or Canadian bacon, bagels/toast, coffee, Juices and there was some undercooked oatmeal).

Steve Ressler (Steve): Good breakfast...okay room...surrounded by construction projects...Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Bryan McMorrow: I stayed here for two weeks on a work trip and I have some opinions.1. Not all of the rooms are in the main building. I was in a room in the annex, that was reminiscent of a cheap apartment building. It had no elevator, so I had to drag 2 weeks of clothes up a staircase.2. It smelled like wet dog in the stairwell and in the room. I had to spray a lot of deodorant to get rid of it.3. The roof had spots that were cracking, the wallpaper was peeling, the air vents were filthy, and the floor had soft spots that I was fearful to walk on.4. At times there was no one at the desk. I had to wait a few times for someone to come to the desk.I’m giving it 2 stars for its location.
