jassmine nicole: Very cool atmosphere.! I love the design of the restaurant it’s super laid back. Drinks are strong and tasty. The crab is so fresh for being in Missouri. It’s amazing. Whoever’s boiling them legs, They’re doing a good job because the crab just slides right out. Decently priced for the proportion you get I took home half of my food and only paid $40 for a plate. Great service too would give it a 10 star if I could.

alysha morris: I judge seafood boil restaurants by the quality of the shrimp and crab. I wish these places would be careful in how long they boil the seafood, because my crab meat was sticking to the shell, and I HATE THAT!!! 😫 It’s like I’m wasting my money because I’m fighting with the shell just to get some meat!! Staff was friendly and polite but still not worth it

cassy merriman: My husband and I went up there for dinner and were quickly seated. We sat down, decided what to drink and what to order. We sat and waited for anyone to acknowledge that we were there. A couple that were seated after us got there drinks and placed their order. Finally we just walked out. I recommend to anyone to not go there.

Kristin Evans: This place was so good! I have not had an authentic seafood boil since, well Louisiana😉 Got the crab and shrimp boil and it was out of this world! You get to pick the spice level and which types of butter and extra flavors you want to put in there. Comes with potatoes and corn on the cob all mixed in the same boil bag, so the flavor is really there. I got the everything option, highly recommend. Just be sure to wear your bib!

Les Bro: Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We topped off a fun day with Pier 88! It was the icing on the cake. I have a huge appetite, and I brought a little home with me.The restrooms could use cleaning, soap dispensers were almost out, and there wasn't toilet paper. We stood there for maybe 5 minutes before I asked if someone was going to acknowledge us and seat us. Finally a girl came forward and seated us. We ordered our food which was not even that good! (I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta) the server asked me (10 minutes after I ordered) if I wanted the Cajun seasoning in my food. I order this meal every time I go to a Red Lobster and have never been asked that. When I recieved my meal, It was so blan and so Terrible! We were there for approximately an hour and 20 minutes. Michele Stiles: We took my husband's family after giving them gift cards. All of our baked potatoes were cold and my crab legs were really hard to get out. They were also cold. We were a party of 7. Our service was good but I won't be giving gift cards for the Independence Red Lobster again. My crab shouldn't have been on our bill they were so bad.

But she came around and ask how long I had been there she was just coming onto work.She was super sweet and kind, my food amazing but I had to wait and there were only me and 2 other tables with people.

Pamela Patterson: I went to the one on Noland road. The server great and the food was hot and tasty. Just had to wait to be seated. Not that they were busy, no one was there to seat us for while. Then they were out of some of the sides we wanted and they are now charging extra for a side salad. Salads used to be included as an option in the regular side dishes but now are $2:49 extra.

James McGilley: The large oysters weren't large at all. The Steak Tartar had absolutely Zero Flavor, my grilled salmon was like a hockey puck. The only amazing tasting thing I ate was the Fried Calamari with the dipping sauce. My girlfriend paid the bill that was over $120.00, not including Tip. I would give it another try but expect much better attention to detail and not over cooked salmon.

T K: Great experience and service from staff and management, especially for someone who has a shellfish allergy. The manager made sure that the kitchen prepared my sandwich in a separate pan, and offered another option outside of fries due to it being cooked in the same oil as the shrimp. My burger was phenomenal and so was the wedge salad. The brûlée key lime pie is AMAZING along with the Cucumber Lemon Press!!

Marcus Starr: Overall 8/10:Place gets a 8 mainly due to the great bartender and specials they have. I was told they have a crawfish boil next weekend so I wonder how that’ll be.The atmosphere was also nice.Pro: Great bartender and great atmosphere. M G: So I went to Jax Friday night I told my friend how great it was..also told that I hadn't been there since Covid( they were closed for a while like many restaurants during that time, but I was happy to see that they survived the Pandemic....we arrived at 8:30 ish we were seated pretty quickly. they close at 10pm.....restaurant wasn't crowded about 7 at the bar ...several at the back of the restaurant about 12 and a couple sat in front of us and a couple came and sat behind us..we sat about 15 minutes before anyone took our drink order and that's because I caught a waitress walking by and asked her when would someone be over..another 10 min went by before a different person came and said someone would be over to take our food order..finally about 5 minutes later a guy came over ( no Apology) we ordered Seaford Chowder both of us he thought we wanted to share a bowl ( no we each want it..we sat 15 more minutes after which my friend was so irritated and didn't want to wait any longer so we left...I have been to Jax many times pre Pandemic and it was wonderful...I don't know what the problem was Friday night April 21st but my friend said they'll never come back...it wasn't the way I remembered them...I was very Disappointed

Ms. Banks: So excited that I found this spot tucked in the West Plaza area in KCMO. I came here for the oysters and I wasn’t disappointed. Service was good and the inside was inviting. It has a laidback ambiance and you can go enjoy a small bite to eat with others or even enjoy a meal solo. I recommend this spot for happy hour deals or an intimate dinner.

Plus it come with this other side or what ever. Almost walked out when they showed up with a tiny piece of fish over a thin bed of clovers and not even a salad. Price was too high.
