Dylan Bryant: I don't hand out many 5 star reviews but this place and Dr were amazing. I hate dentist offices and they were by far the best, easy going and very helpful and kind. The Dr uses humor to help you get through it and I love that. No one likes the dentist and I hope the VA keeps letting me go to him. If your a veteran and have to use community care, go here! Way better then the doctor in Lee summit for tooth extractions. 👍👌

Andrew Miller: Dr. kern and his staff are absolutely amazing!!!! I have really bad anxiety and syncope when my anxiety get to bad I pass out. I started working myself up to the point of passing out and they helped me through it and took their time didn't rush me and talk to me while in the processes. I will not go to any other dentist they are awesome.

Due to issues with another tooth i had to have an implant removed and later put back in and all procedures went very smoothly. Very professional doctor that has a practice that has proved very hard to find these days i would highly recommend this office to anyone! Especially to those tired of being overcharged!
Joy Cappozzoli: Dr Kern's it was an amazing dentist. His staff especially his assistant Jen have been amazing and patient with me. I've had to go in several times them just to look at it because I was anxious about something being wrong and they had me come in and looked at it and I didn't feel judged. Sometimes you just need someone to listen and they are great for that and very professional.
Jody McClain: Amazing oral surgeon. Recommend him highly. Good christian man and his staff was great too. Had a consult and he answered all my questions. No dry socket either! I chose sedation and no pain after! They treat you well and prices very reasonable and honest even without insurance!
Marsha Bradford Gethers: Receptionist was very rude and acted like she cld not find my dental benefits w/o my dental ID card. When I explained that I have always used my SS# for over 30 years and did not have a card she said she would have to call my dentist to get the ID#. After waiting for an extended 3 week appt. I was cld 2 days before my appt to inform me that my benefits had maxed out and my appt was canceled. When I cld my provider I was told that that was not true. I will Not try to get another appointment with these incompetent office workers.
Ciara Tharp: Dr. Kern is amazing! He has a great bedside manner. My 17 yr old daughter just saw him for wisdom teeth removal. He made jokes which helped her feel more comfortable. I would totally recommend him! His office went above and beyond to help us.

She was in an extreme amount of pain and was scheduled 3 weeks out, and tried to reschedule for sooner but was blown off.She came in for her appointment and was told they GAVE THE APPOINTMENT TO SOMEONE ELSE. She confirmed the appointment with them via email, but didn’t answer a phone call the day prior because she was AT WORK and they didn’t leave a voicemail. Very unprofessional and not considerate of their own customers.DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO BE SCHEDULED.
Shannon Mans: I am one of the ones scared of the dentist and this place was amazing!! I have never had a more smooth tooth extraction in my life! Dr. Robert Kern was so polite and was cracking jokes, really making me feel comfortable and Jen his assistant was very nice as well, along with all of the other staff there!ALSO!! I have to add, they did test to make sure I was completely numb, no one has ever done that! I’m very impressed!!!

They knew how bad it hurt and were so helpful unlike a lot of other placesThey also called my insurance and figured everything out and gave me a quote for removing one wisdom tooth and a second quite for removing all the remaining and let me decide which would work better. Ended up being a super good deal to remove all the remaining 3. It was wonderfulThe front staff was beyond helpful Like they went way above what was expected.The doc was also awesome Went over everything very thoroughly I'm a very anxious and the dentist. Rick Walker: Great people, very kind, answered all of my questions minimal pain post op, very quick and very little memory of the procedure beforehand no memory of procedure during. Would recommend for getting wisdom teeth extraction and they did the whole thing in an hour and a half.

Brianna Hickman: I got my lower two wisdom teeth extracted on Friday, 3/24/23. I believe Dr. Krista was my surgeon. She let me know exactly what she was planning to do and any risks with removing my fully developed wisdom teeth. At 25 years old you’re more at risk for complications during and after surgery. They could tell I was super nervous and they did their best to keep me informed and comfortable before, during and after. She got both teeth to come out smoothly and now I am recovering at home following all of the advice she shared with my fiancé. Thank you so much for taking care of me. I appreciate all that your staff has done for me!💜
Pat Postans: Dr.Markles staff was able to get me in after having an emergency toothache. They were helpful on the phone with my concerns about IV sedation and helped me with all questions.I chose them and went in the day of and the nurses were very thorough with everything before and after the procedure. I went home and needed no pain medication at all . I took ibuprofen and that was for my arthritis . They followed up the next day to check on me . This is the 3 rd time using Dr.Markle and his staff and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Very professional, the place was very nice/clean and very fast as well! Took maybe 35-45 min for x-rays, and the procedure start to finish. I have horrible anxiety, and they really did a great job making me feel comfortable!
Josh Michael: Meh. Didn’t tell me they didn’t want me to eat or drink prior to surgery, so had to alter plans on the spot. Then sent my medications to the wrong pharmacy. So I have been without meds for four days now trying to figure out where they were sent after the HEAD OFFICE said they were still sent to the wrong location. Then have the audacity to ask me to write them a review. Well, here you go. Thank you for the headache.Now they cancelled my script and sent it a different one. The lack of communication with this facility astounds me. No call, just a text from the doctor. Please avoid this place if necessary.

Larry Urich: Had to have a bad molar extracted that was giving me horrible pains. I was referred here by my dentist. They made my appointment early the next morning. I was very nervous of course, but Dr. Lerner and her crew made me feel comfortable and welcome, awesome staff all around. The procedure was pain free, and I've had a happy road to recovery with no pain.
Chris Drenon: I had the unpleasant experience of learning I needed a tooth extraction after noticing an abscess. After receiving a referral from my dentist, I immediately made the appointment with Kansas City Dental Implants and Oral Surgery. Though I was apprehensive about the procedure, the staff was phenomenal. They were very efficient, professional and friendly. Dr. Krista Lerner performed the procedure and she and her 'crew' were fantastic! The care and follow up was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend their services.

His work is perfection, evidenced by the fact that no one can tell which of my front teeth is, in fact, an implant. He went out of his way to assure the shading of my implant was exactly right. I never experienced any discomfort relating to the procedure and I am thrilled with the outcome. His practice runs like a well-oiled machine, and I would recommend him without reservation to anyone needing an implant.Today, it is the exception rather than the rule to find a consummate professional, a compassionate practitioner and someone with a true gift. H O: I had been coming to the Dentists of Independence for a few years and things were fine. Yesterday, after my x-ray, the assistant and dentist picked at my teeth and kept talking about how I need to floss my teeth more often (I agree). Then, they suggested I have a deep cleaning at another time. They brought in a young man to explain the prices, kind of like a closer at a car dealership. He informed me it would cost about $1,400. I replied this was a rip-off and was not going to do this. Of course he took umbrage and that ended things. They refunded $30 of my $107. So I wasted a few hours or my time and $77 for nothing (other than an x-ray).

Norma Melendez: Dr. Mohammed Nuru, DDS., and ALL staff at Dentists of Independence Thank You. He has a great team of family and staff. They are all top of the line professionals, with superb workmanship, artistry and state of the art equipment! A CEREC Milling Unit (for same day crowns & implants). A lab on site, 3D Imaging, and TV for his patients to watch while waiting, or just to relax if they wish. Kid friendly environment very welcoming. I thought there was no hope, unless I spent a fortune. His fees are very reasonable, accepting all insurances or out of pocket patients and still affordable for all incomes, they will work with you. The whole staff is very caring, compassionate, and patient with a desire to make each patients happy with their results. This will always be my dentist, and even if I live hundreds of miles away, I will fly or drive to Dentists of Independence, for all of my dental needs. If you need quality work, at an affordable price, then you need to call Dentists of Independence to set up an appointment. You will thank God you did. I do every day....Thank you so much!Always, your most grateful patient

devcleve: I’ve been here twice for dental repair. Once to fix a cavity in a front tooth and once to repair a tooth that had broken. Both times, I was able to set an appointment within a week of calling and upon arriving, they were comfortably busy with only a client or two present other than me.I was taken back immediately following check in and seen by the assistant immediately after that and the dr immediately after that and so on.I felt important and attended to. The assistants and dr were both very nice and professional. The office is clean and the equipment is modern.I was satisfied with the quality of the repair and received exactly what I’d asked for.I have no insurance, repairing the broken tooth was $280.All things considered, I will be coming back to this office for all future dental work.Thank you.
Bailey Johnson: The staff was all very kind and friendly but they quoted me over $600 for a deep cleaning for Periodontitis and to fix a filling and that was after insurance... I went to another dentist and they did the same procedures and said yes I need to floss more in the back of my teeth but found no signs of Periodontitis, not even Gingivitis, which occurs before Periodontitis... The other dentist was also able to fix my filling within one hour and covered completely by insurance. While the staff was friendly, I do not appreciate dentist's who over quote and charge for unnecessary procedures and want people to be aware of these types of scams.
Meena H: Pros: Clean, friendly, thorough. They don't mind outlining my options, answering questions, and are always polite. Reasonably priced and willing to work to correct mistakes. They worked with me as a new patient when another office used my benefits improperly. Now for theCons: operated by one dentist, Dr. Nuru who I'm coming to think is inexperienced.He's very personable, but takes longer than usual for simple things like fillings. He also did a same day crown for me that even a year later has resulted in more sensitivity than I had before the crown. The lower tooth that meets that crown has now cracked and also needs a crown. That's even after going back for a bite adjustment.Then on the other side he put a filling on a tooth that needs a crown which resulted in the filling breaking, and hours in the chair redoing it. Then it broke AGAIN!I'm quite annoyed that I spent so much time and money there when the filling (that should have been a crown) and the cracked tooth banging again the crown they did, might have been avoided by going to a more experienced dentist.
Taiton Wurtz: I haven't been to the dentist in 6+ years due to poor dental treatment and lack of compassion. BUT YALL... I have nothing, but great things to say about this group and facility. Their call center who scheduled my original appointment was even great! Front desk staff very friendly. Drs and tech were so nice and patient. They took time to talk to me in detail about my concerns/fears. I also appreciated that they talked through their procedures step by step. Will refer them to anyone in a heartbeat. I am hopeful after a few more visits like these, my fear of the dentist will be gone!

Debbie Epperson: This place is a joke. Beware of all the "work" you need to have done. My husband and I stopped going here and found a dentist that is a sole practitioner. In other words, not part of a quota pushing corporation. All the thousands of dollars worth of work they claimed my husband needed was a lie. Period. They were cleaning my teeth every 3 months instead of 6, sucking all of the insurance dollars and also charging me $135 on top of it. Doing the SAME EXACT cleaning job on my teeth as they were doing on my husband. Good riddance. Beware to all.

Aj: Dr. Kumar is very considerate and kind. His office provided a prompt appointment for my mother's urgent oral issue. At his office, he talked to her in her native tongue in a very reassuring way. He then gave her the treatment after initial evaluation and x-rays - all in the same appointment. No subsequent appointment was necessary. He even offered to talked to her dentist in India where she plans to continue her treatment upon her return. My mom came out as very happy from his office. I highly recommend dr. Kumar.

Mary Ann Partridge: Emmanuel cleaned my teeth this year and did a fantastic job. I love going to True Dental. Thank you Dr Brown another five-star year!I really enjoy all of the staff at true dental. My husband and I have been going there for years. Yesterday Priscilla did my teeth cleaning and she did a very nice job and Dr Silver did my exam. He is very friendly outgoing and enjoyable dentist. He is also very knowledgeable and takes his time. You don't feel rushed.

MsVette Moreno: This Dental office is quick to get you'inn and out. No wait in the lobby for your scheduled appointment.... Show up early and there is always a good chance they will take you earlier. Oh yes, Missed appointments are rescheduled to a day that is only a week or two out.
Denise Rice: The staff was very friendly. I don't like going to the dentist. They took extra care of me to make me feel comfortable. They worked efficiently to get the job done and made sure I was okay. I felt good when I was leaving. When I go back I know I'll be well taken care of.
