Safe to Sleep: what do users think?
Melissa Helmig: This place has causrd me 4 stress induced seizures yesterday and I was told by Cox South that if I have anymore they will keep getting worse to the point I won't come outbof the next one I have. The staff here treat women that are young and pregnant like trash and they don't care. I'm done with this place they need better staff and less drama.

Harmony House: what do users think?
Kashawna Laney: They don't care and don't take the steps to get more domestic valance shelters in Springfield opened up and don't want to hear what you have to say and don't care about your transportation needs or anything about you. So question is why even have to access to it if they don't care?
Tosha Hardesty: Nice ppl but they turn away to many ppl not just myself when they have room
Jenny Taylor: Absolutely an amazing organization. Such kind people and such a blessing.
Krystal Davis: Great place! Great cause!
Michelle Garrett: They have been absolutely amazing for my daughter❣️❣️❣️
Allison Morgan: Very nice people and clean building
Joni Davis: Such an amazing place it's already horrible being in a situation where you ha very to reach out for services and support. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable.
Misty Carlson: Was told they are never going to be able to help me. I'm on a list for them to decline helping me. They refuse to say why. I was told to never call again. I'm a victim of organized crime and domestic abuse and I now wonder who is calling the shots are this shelter. 2015 declined, 2017 declined, 2018 Declined, 2019 declined (full face of bruising double black eye and clean background, they declined, so I went home to be assaulted more) and now today told they have me on a list of people to never help. I d told her at the end of the call I've been a victim of organized crime and they always turn me away. However with that said, I'm sure if your not on a list of don't help, it's always better to find a safer shelter. Don't let my reviews keep you from seeking safety. I just want my voice heard. I'm not sure who called the shots in making them alway decline me...but, someone has.The other wdv shelter informed me that, they were full before asking my name, I thanked that Christian county wdv advocate so much for being upfront about openings before asking my name. I will recommend them to as in Christian county shelter to others in the future and if I get on my feet enough to donate, I will choose to give to a shelter that doesn't have a black list.
jerry G: Did not keep are daughter safe and did not give any counseling. Kicked her out on the street and said she could come back in 30 days. Called in a month , they said that this place wasn't a good fit for her. I will not refer them or donate anymore to this organization. Very Sad! They knew she had no vehicle and was homeless with being assaulted.
Katherine Foster: It's the best program in place in town. For domestic and several other things wonderful place to find yourself homeless , email me start over financially. Show me that my best of thinking when's the best after all. They were so helpful again to build better habits with my relationships with others. I've been here to realize they really are helping people that really need it with food clothing this goes on and on and help you kids and in school happy man happy being better mother grandparents whenever you're personal in if you're in a bad spot in life or somebody's abusing you no matter what kind of abuser or what kind of person you are there for you.
Andrea M: Racist I got turned around because I'm black today bye a rude lady over the phone. I will be reporting them
Kat Tolbert: I have worked with several of the staff at Harmony House and they are genuinely invested in educating the community about domestic violence and helping those who need services.
Jodi Shea: Some of the staff there are amazing. But the majority of them are horrible and disrespectful. They do not understand what its like to be a victim of abuse and how hard it is to recover from that
C Cunningham: Wonderful place with kind folks working there. There isnt much one can say that describes just how important this place is to the community!
Jessica Ann: Harmony house literally has saved my life. They give me a safe home base and necessities that are so vital for starting over. And the food is delicious. The staff are all awesome and so nice. It is such a blessing to be here.
Sharla Moody: Harmony House is such a vital part of our community. They offer compassion, hope, and help to those in crisis. Their team is amazing, and I’m glad they are able to provide these services in times of need.
Wisdomis Riches: God bless you Harmony.
Tammy Winters: Wonderful place for those wanting to break the cycle of abuse, male or female. If you are abused individual, you have a choice. You can stay in your misery or get ahold of Harmony House. In some cases they will even send a cab to pick you up.
Tiffany Ford: I've needed thier help. They're knowledgeable and understanding advocates willing to guide and sometimes redirect. They have 0 tolerance for nonsense and have guidelines to follow. Great help for those ready and willing to take that step in bettering the future
Sapp Sabotage: The staff in the cafeteria are all VOLUNTEERS and they’re AMAZING. Every person who works here is amazing and understanding, compassionate, experienced and empathetic. They have rules but the rules are enforced to keep it clean and quiet for all the guests/victims.. Literally all the staff are amazing. The residents are so polite and also understanding and everyone has their own story. THIS IS A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER. It is not for reformed drug addicts it is not for recovering drug addicts it is not for anyone besides those who have been victims of domestic violence. If you have to lie to get a bed here please please go elsewhere because these beds are for people who need them to escape a life of hell from domestic violence. They adhere to those victims and help them in every way possible that a victim needs help. They do not have drug classes they do not house homeless people it is for an emergency from domestic violence and if that isn’t you please go somewhere else. They will help with transportation dealing with DV and ex partes etc, they are very victim oriented. Please do not take advantage of the hospitality here. There is amazing food as well and a play room inside for children, a teen and adult room, there are computers to use and a phone. There is a playground for children as well and all enclosed. To protect the victims privacy. They have trauma counselors and trauma counselors for children. They literally help with anything a victim needs help with. If you need to run please call them. If you need help and can’t get out call this place. And also if you’ve been here be thankful for their help there is no place like this. They even help with finding foster care for your pets. Don’t stay in your life of hell get help. If you’ve been a former victim of domestic violence please donate to them as well. And of course you have to do chores to get any boutique items it’s called ‘boutique points’ and why would you get anything for free without even doing a chore? To help? Again be thankful! This place is beyond amazing deserves more than 5 stars.
Tabatha Damron: Couldn't use their services so really don't know. I figured I could at least see how they're classes were but Springfield mo has lats of options thank GOD

The Kitchen, Inc. Emergency Shelter: what do users think?
Jonathan Heisz: Not Open To The People In Need
Ranger Grimm: Didn't help me when I asked for it, even when I was a "rare breed" Springfield has a problem and it's too caught up in self righteousness to actually be effective or help those is need.
Niki Owens: They have love
Brian Pollard: Homeless Now!
Mandy Garmon: I love the work you are doing for our community!! God bless you all
Jen Cates: My buddy stays here wonderful place...
Chris Burch: We do the heating and ac here. A great place to give ppl who fell on hard times a fresh start. Just don't ever let it be 1 person who ruins it for all, let it be all people pulling the 1 person up.
Nature Hills: Families get a safe place to stay while they work towards a better life and living for themselves and their love ones. This facility has a computer room, playground, laundry room, an area for dogs and great size apartments for people to feel safe, respected and loved.

Victory Shelter for Men: what do users think?
stretch bann: You are NOT an emergency shelter, you are a flop house. An emergency shelter does not charge for admission...TO ANYONE. those 30 beds for the night is a joke. I've stayed here twice. Both times I've been stolen from. (I've never been ripped off at a shelter before and I've stayed at a bunch of them, nationwide. ) only come here if you're ready to be extorted. 71 years old and I would sleep next to the tracks rather than come back here .
Martina Spencer: This is an awesome place.
Dennis Swearingen: If you need help, they are the ones who can help you
Jeffrey (turtlesavingclub): Great Place, just treat people the way you want to be treated. Call ahead to check for open beds, be sober when you arrive as you will be breathalyzed and/or UA'd. Don't expect it to be a party. The staff is great and keeps a close eye on the tenants.
Joplinlady Unicorn: There are only 30 free beds available a night. If full then ty you can pay $13 for a bed! Was a last resort I paid $13 for a friend to stay here instead of my house! Yes I sure did! Thank you Victory Shelter
Carl Ward: Roaches, mice and bed bugs !
Douglas Nelson Jr: One thing I do remember is it was bad about interfering with your work and even though you're working you still got chores to do when you get back after killing yourself at a slaveyard
Dark Father Raven King: If you are a Orthodox then I guess it's the best place has men's shelter just make sure you bring your IDs the mission is great
Herve Keptner: I think that they represent the religious philosophy most closely of any place I've ever had to stay
Dan Caldwell: Great place for people to stay when they get their life together
Myron L. “Mr. T” Boyd: Less than 1star Corruption
Chris Payne: Good place to live for homeless fairly clean drug-free and alcohol-free
Michael White: I was not impressed by the service
Daryl Bookout: Great staff. Very helpful. Awesome place for gaining more Christian knowledge and being independent.
Kalen Shrout: Good place to find shelter and stability
Sean Higginbotham: This place has helped me change my life and over come road blocks in my life .they have nice rooms and except homeless men in need of better direction in there life.
Nick Canon: Man these guys are true saints. They are strick but will work for you if you will work for yourself. They saved my life when it was hanging by a thread. Thanks guys love you got bless!!!
Chris Blevins: Thanks for the help guys
Lloyd Price: I'll write them really really high but don't go there if you have health problems because once you do they will steal your money they will take away from you you came to them for help you're not going to get it there they will take your money and make you think you're doing great and then boom when you're not cuz you get sick they will throw you out and steal your money.
Jody Weller: Professional
Doug Hon: If you're real about change in you're life its the place

Victory Mission + Ministry: what do users think?
Dr. Richard Baker: VM makes our city better. I highly recommend them.
Johnny White: Sign said they were closed I think they should not be on the internet if they are not going to be open
Martina Spencer: This is a great place for men in recovery trying to get on the right path.
Richard Argo: Two words... BED BUGSThis problem has been going on for several months. Whats worse, is they justify it. Ask Bobby Mitchell, the shelters associate pastor, and he will tell you that it's OK to have bed bugs because they are keeping 100 men off the streets. I have the messages from Bobby proving this. Victory Mission is just like most other programs like this, they are all about the money. They truly don't care about the people they are supposedly helping, as long as all the staff can keep driving their nice cars. It's not a charity, it's a business. They won't fix the bed bug issue because it costs money. They won't spend the money because then it comes out of the staffs pockets. Sad.
Daryl Bookout: Great place to rest and relax
Theresa Johnson: They are loving people right where they are at!💙💜
Sean Higginbotham: This place is fun of spiritual love and guidance .im thankful for the road blocks they have helped me overcome .They are the greatest group of people for all how are ready to change there lifes
Michael Nelson: Every. Life. Has. Purpose!Victory Mission +Ministry has helped me spiritually, economically, and relationally. They believe in restoring lives back to the way God intended by providing a foundation to grow no matter where you are in life. I will forever be grateful to this ministry and am so blessed to now be a part of their team! Thank you Lord for VM!
SouthernMofo: Awesome people and they care
charles wyatt: Nice place and great people
Barbara Weber: Yes me and my wife went there to apply for Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets, they were very courteous and very helpful they delivered us a wonderful Thanksgiving meal everything complete.
John Eddington: Very nice and polite and helped us in every way they could
Christopher O'Neil: Great opportunity for Men who want to change. They instill character qualities in those who want them.
Dianna Munoz: Very helpful staff
Doug Hon: A lot of programs to help
Joy Kiley: I have been dealing with Cancer and the loss of my apt due to a manager that allowed my tired slashed and bullying .I went here for help and found them to be such compassionate people.Thank God for all of them
Dustin Jones: Very friendly and helpfull
Brenda Crites: Friendly people
Tammi Shelton: This place is horrible. Not doing God's work at all. They will take your life. Control you. Kick u out after months and months on a 30 degree day with no place to go. Restoration program is a joke. 12 to 18 mos of ur life but make you start over too many times to count. I'm guessing they make money off it. So someone very likely could be in for years . Awful awful place and program. Stay away
Gabe Hynson: Amazing. God is working here
Jr 69: God bless you

Tina Cassidy: Offer lunch to all folks including woman.Could you get a women's program ?
gerald c: I lived there for a while. Not a good memory. High staff turnover, the social worker was not a nice person. Rather hateful actually. Some of the other workers were really nice. No privacy. Salvation Army people could be overbearing. If I had to do it over again I would stay on the street.
Geoff klinkerfuss: Some of the staff are burned out. Been doing it a long time.
Gary C: The place is great but keep a sharp eye on your belongings as there are many who will steal from you.
Douglas Hon: The best
Jason Roush: Hard-working workers who are always friendly and always have a smile on their face and are always there to help you.
Doug Hon: Helps alot
roger stewart: Just go to give extras from garden
Johnny Mcdowell: A hand up for the fallen. The lead monitor is as demanding as he is supportive. Instills good habits and focused recovery. I can't say enough about the help they've been to me. Thanks, guys ! I'll never forget.
scott bryda: Watch out for secret agendas
Jessica Lane: Only ever go here for free lunches .. because I been homeless a time or two. But everyone I've encountered here has been nice an welcoming here❣️

Veterans Coming Home Center: what do users think?
becky givens: Great Christian organization. Just check hours as they could vary.
Margaret Beltran: I know that this place helps the homeless. But it's filthy. Get the homeless people to help clean up this place. It went down hill. I used this facility back in 2015. It's definitely not the same. This facility really helped me out. And it hurt my heart to see how it is now. Was looking for my daughter she was missing, and I happened to go see if she was there. And no I didn't take any pictures. Have a great day 😀.
Jeffrey (turtlesavingclub): Not representative of the homeless community in the area as a whole.Gross, a human zoo. The staff try their best; though the lack of enforcement of rules, policies, and law, make this a cesspool and representative of the worst aspects of homelessness in this town. Don't get me wrong, it's a place for folks to stay warm on cold days. However there are both safer and more sanitary locations to do so.
Jeffrey Kenkel II: A human zoo, don't come here. The staff is fine, but it's not a safe place to go unless you are on drugs or drunk.... Unless it's freezing and there is nowhere else to go.
Rita Schroeder: They help those with meals, clothes, showers, laundry for all those that one day might need to go, it happens to the best of us and you might just be passing thru
ERIC NICHOLS: Thank you to all the volunteers.
ChrissyRobert Stafford: While churches donate food and serve the homeless food the staff of the veterans coming home center do little to stop the yelling and fighting and thefts that are common daily problems there
Herve Keptner: This place is awesome I take care of other people
Dale Henry: Staff are friendly, and beyond helpful. Meals are basically heaping with food. Can't thank them enough for helping my family. All of you have great outlooks on life.
Cheryl Bonilla: This operation would be a wonderful place for those who are looking for a different place of there direction in life. It needs a little TLC and some love. I would recommend to propose some additional sense of style or or to modernize the atmosphere.
Nathan: No, just no.
horny myke: they continue to have a positive effect on our community
Roxalem Nite: Too crowded usually
Lionel Palmer: A lot of homeless in there
Gershom Solomon: Ehh
Ron Seiter: They do what they can but it's not appreciated by most of people who go there
Justean Willis: Helped me get some clothes for an interview and i got to eat s good meal
Stone Blu: This place there aren't enough words in the English diction about what I couldn't say but I will say I really don't know how they seem to continue to stay open from what I know & have heard there are so many health code violations if the City Health Department was to do an inspection it would surely be shut down , I'm guessing overnight. I heard that because of this crazy guy who's name was Bobby that used to work there accused him of breaking the sink off the wall in the men's restroom who says he never touched it & that it just rusted completely through & fell off the wall this person wasn't even standing near the sink at the time this happened & was barred who was told this was from normal wear & tear of a hundred guys that go in there washing themselves in the sink daily , he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Thumbs 👎
Travis Good: Serves a purpose
Kimberly McJunkin: I came here to donate things from my parents house so I can only speak about that. Someone recognized right away that I didn't know which entrance to use and directed me to the back. I had a good conversation with two people, who asked for specific items, better suited for outdoor winter living. I told them I would be back with another load!
Angel Sauls: Can not enough good things about the work being done at Veterans Coming Home Center. Please support their work with veterans and others who are experiencing homelessness.
