William Walker: Sweet and sour shrimp was ok. The sesame chicken was aweful, tasted like a bad teriyaki sauce with sesame seeds sprinkled on top. The cashew chicken was awful as well. That tasted like chicken in a beef gravy. The chicken in both dishes was over cooked. The pot stickers were ok. California roll rice was plain with no seasonings. It should be seasoned with rice vinegar and sugar. The crab Rangoon had no crab but wasn't terrible. If this was voted one of the best in Springfield I am afraid to try some of others.

Customer service is good.Only complaint is not being able to dine in, they still have CV concerns. I'm sure I won't return until we are able to dine in, it's not reasonable to sit in the car and eat or drive a long-distance home. Eating in the car or cold food loses the point of eating out.

John Howland: Usually a great place to eat. Love supporting local. But today the blond behind the counter completely made me feel she would rather not wait on me. She scolded me for walking in the store and not calling in my order. I got past that. When she brought my food to the truck, she scolded me for parking in the first row and not by the door. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or what. I just know I would prefer to shop with places that make you feel welcome and want you there. This was totally not the case today. The food is fine. And in the past I have had a good experience. This time I don’t plan to go back.

I called the restaurant and she said that the time it takes to prepare and then sit combined with delivery time dries it out. Some extra sauce would have avoided this probably. The rice and egg roll were good however. Just sad I feel like I waisted money with no offer to exchange food or partial refund.

Lindsey: I use to love this place, after tonight I will not be back! The staff was rude the tables were dirty the food was not quickly thrown together and without the usual veggies. The rice was plain white not fried like usual, and the crab ragoons are tasteless. We were not offered drinks or a receipt with our purchase. And it was higher price than several other restaurants aroumd town that are much better and friendlier!

It's a great stop if you're downtown near the square, and a mandatory place to have in the mix if you eat Cashew Chicken on the regular. The chicken here is extra crispy, cut large, and has a bit of a country-fried flavor to me. Unlike some spots, ordering other chicken dishes here isn't a mistake; everything is good, and they are consistent with the quality. It's a family-run business, too. Years ago, I remember that somebody downtown smashed their front window in, and it was heart-breaking.

The new owners are the nicest people I’ve ever met! One day I came in to pick up my food and there was a blind man getting his food in front of me. The woman who was behind the register swiped the man’s card then a prompt for a tip came up. This could have been an opportunity for the woman to give herself a good tip without mentioning it to the man, instead she clicked no tip, and handed the man his food and told him to have a wonderful day. 10/10 I would recommend this place to any food lover!

When I tell them they say “it’s not on the receipt “. My response this time was “I can’t help what you rang up. I told you twice and you repeated it back to me” Also the older lady that works most of the time is rude and treats us like we are up to something. I’m 52 with 4 teen girls (2 fosters) and I usually have my two toddler grandkids. We are just there to eat.Service has just gone down hill especially in the past 6 months.

Alex Spalding: Favorite Dish: Cashew ChickenThis was the first and for many years the only Chinese restaurant I ate at growing up in Springfield, and it will always have a place in my heart. The food is good quality, though it's much better as a sit-down restaurant than trying the drive-thru or to-go as the sauce can take the crunch out of the submerged and steaming hot chicken. Not sure if they still have it, but for a time they offered a very small buffet option. This may have just been for lunch and/or on certain days. It was nice, if limited. I love Chinese Chef!

Alex Spalding: The free samples of Bourbon Chicken from Max Orient were a high point of any visit to the Battlefield Mall; the food court entrance may as well be the only entrance for that reason. Bourbon Chicken wasn't a thing at most other Chinese restaurants in town back when I lived here, so getting it here felt like a unique treat. There are Chinese spots in other malls in the country that operate similar to Max Orient, but this is still one of the better ones I've been to.
Harley Bryant: Went to the new location, it was really clean in there and the guy making my order was very friendly and attentive. The egg drop soup was amazing freshly cooked and was hot when we got home too. The only thing I would say is the rice and chicken wasn't very hot, like it maybe sat for a minute but other than that it was great. It is very affordable too.
I'm Brandon: This is my first time at this location. Been to the mall a few times and it was great. I had the bento combo with noodles, bourbon chicken, and crab Rangoon with Cali roll. My wife had the same thing except with rice. The noodles and chicken was fine but the crab Rangoon had no filling. It was like eating a fried wonton wrapper. The rice had a weird after taste and left us disgusted. The cali was fine. Would I go back? Yeah to try something else but mostly for the bourbon chicken. This is just my honest review and your experience might not be the same as mine if you decide to go. Also would like to note the owner guy is nice and friendly. 4.5/10

Jonea Madison: Food is never hot, just lukewarm. The honey chicken was horrible. General chicken was good. Orange chicken is a hit or miss. Bourbon chicken is good but again they need to work on having food that is hot. Get rid of the honey chicken because that’s not honey chicken. Panda Express has better honey chicken with the correct sauce. What they gave me looks like mayonnaise on fried chicken and it tasted horrible.

Wesley Murphree: Legitimately one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Their bourbon chicken is absolutely amazing and their orange chicken isn't far behind, either. The portions are very generous considering the overall cost doesn't usually come to more than 11.00$. The staff have been very kind with me and I never have any complaints with how they conduct themselves. The atmosphere of the store is decent (it IS in a mall, which kind of ruins things). I'll continue eating here for quite some time and I'm very excited to see the grand opening of their new store on battlefield and national.

I brought the food home to eat, so sure it lost a bit of freshness, but ive had other take out chinese food from other places that was still excellent, even as leftovers the next day so that is no excuse for the poor quality of this food. Everything was dry. Practically choking on the food to eat it. Vegetable fried rice? More like fried rice with 1 piece of carrot. I had the sweet and sour chicken. Somehow there was more sauce on the outside of the package than on the chicken. On the menu it said 1 order of crab rangoons was 3 pieces. I got 2. My first time eating here, epic fail. Not coming back here when there are much better chinese restaurants in town. This encounter just made me appreciate the other restaurants more.
