Steven Pounds: We absolutely love Deerfield! The doctors and staff are all professional, friendly, and they take great care of our dog. We live in Republic, MO, approximately 20 miles from Deerfield, yet we still choose to to make the drive because of the service they provide.

Karlie Beckett: I love love love Deerfield! They have been taking care of my babies for several years now and always go above & beyond. My dog had a couple really bad seizures at one point and they were so thorough in caring for him and making sure that I understood what was going on, the possible cause and the treatment. I have another dog who is very shy and they let us come in for a visit where we just focused on letting her warm up, get comfortable and build her confidence at the vet. Dr. Ned & Dr. Denise are both so kind and knowledgeable. Amanda is one of our favorites and loves on our babies so well, as do all the staff! I absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Lauren Pitts: Every time I go into the clinic I am more amazed by the kindness that is shown by this staff. Whether it be a routine visit for my Great Dane that is too scared to get on the scale, that the nurse who is almost the same size as him has to help me lift him onto it. Or something like tonight where Dr. Roche spent an hour with my dachshund and I due to a back injury answering all of my questions feeding her plenty of treats along the way. I am pretty sure Dr. Roche was late to her own dinner table taking care of our needs. Thank you for everything you do and the kindness you show. It definitely does not go unnoticed.

I take both my dog and cats here and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. I recently had a dental for my senior cat, which I was really nervous about, but I’m so glad I did. She is like a whole new cat, so much happier and comfortable! It seriously feels like a miracle given how much of an improvement it has been for her. I really can’t be more appreciative for the wonderful work they do here!

Kayla Rykbos: DO NOT GO THERE!!!!I dont even want to give one star! My mother took our dog here to get an ultrasound for possible cancer. After having the ultrasound she was told that she had most likely an aggressive form of cancer on her spleen. She took her and scheduled her for surgery right away to come to find out it wasn't even cancer and her spleen was fine. Our dog ended up passing way from the surgery!!! They robbed us of our dog.
Candy Colwell: Deerfield has been our "home" for our fur babies for over 20 years. The staff is always so friendly and professional. Dr. Denise is fantastic...as are all of the doctors there. We just got established with her from the beginning and love her dearly. We have always received wonderful care there for our pets; both dogs and cats. Jen Lyn Dunlap: Our family has been using Healing Paws for about 5 years. I have had many good experiences with the Doctors and staff over this time. Every time I walk into this clinic the staff is always welcoming and caring.Over this last month we have become a familiar face to all the staff at Healing Paws. I have had Guinea Pigs for about a year now. I have never knew how much I would enjoy them. I thought I got them for my kids, but they soon were just my little babies. One became sick with some bowel issues. I took him in and Dr Wantuck examined him to find a mass and some other issues. We scheduled surgery to perform three different things. The surgery went well and he came out eating and drinking. The office was so kind and kept me super informed throughout the day while he was there at the office. Unfortunately, about a week later he got a super bad infection and became severely sick. This was due to my failure to check his wound and keep it clean. Dr Wantuck recommended a second surgery to remove the infection. The decision to put him through another surgery was super hard for me. Dr Wantuck and the staff were so supportive in whatever I decided. Very informative about everything during the whole process. We decided to move forward with the surgery. I am extremely proud to say our piggie (Skunk) is well and doing amazing. He is such a sweet snuggly piggie and we are so happy to have him still. Dr Wantuck made excellent medical decisions and saved Skunk’s life. I highly recommend Dr Wantuck and all the Healing Paws staff.

Erika: My senior cat was attacked by stray dogs and they broke her back. The emergency vet clinic was closed and I ended up calling seven vets for help… the only clinic who would see her was Healing Paws. They didn’t even ask if she was a patient. Just told me to head their way.The techs met me in the parking lot and took her in. Unfortunately, her injuries were too great (which I assumed) and the vet immediately suggested euthanasia. I spent a short time with her then I said goodbye to my sweet girl for the last time.I was beyond distraught after seeing the attack, driving around while calling clinics with my cat barely conscious and in severe pain in my lap for nearly an hour, then having to put her down in the end. Despite the traumatic experience, Healing Paws was sincere, sensitive, and willing to help without even thinking twice.I was offered cremation services which I accepted. I received a beautiful box, an ornament with her paw print and name stamped into it, a little glass vial of her fur, and a sympathy card completely full of kind words from the staff.Here’s the best part; my cat was a former patient of Healing Paws. We had moved out of state several years ago so they had not seen her for some time. But that didn’t matter to this clinic. They still accepted our plea for help before they even knew they had seen her in the past.I will forever be grateful for Healing Paws. Though they couldn’t actually heal my cat, they have already started to heal my heart.Thank you ♥️

Saved stella’s life as she was really sick. i picked her up and she looked like a whole other cat. she’s never scared to go to healings paws. i can trust them. my recent cat tyson got sick and he was diagnosed with kidney failure. Dr. beatty talked everything through with me and never made me feel bad about calling them a million times a day. they never make you feel stupid for asking questions, they’re always very reassuring when it comes to my babies. i cannot thank everybody there enough for everything. thank you from Tyson, Stella & I for the wonderful care you do. 🧡

Roxanne Ellis: Healing Paws has been a great veterinarian hospital for my pets. At times it’s a struggle in the front office but Clinton is the best. Dr Beatty is amazing, she truly cares about my Delilah. She is 14 has heart issues but needed surgery. Dr Beatty was wonderful to bring my baby home and she acts like 4 year old rather than a 14 year old. Right after surgery Dr called because she knew I was having a hard time. They do care. Thank you for being my vet hospital!!

I bring them here for yearly check ups, flea/tick medication prescription, and recently some minor oral surgery and lump removal on my older boxer. Dr Becky explains everything perfectly clearly at each visit on any recommendations and observations concerning my dogs' health and I truly appreciate it!

Not only do they have open appointments available (most places around have long wait times for appointments) the office is clean, the employees are always friendly and professional and the Veterinarian is extremely knowledgeable. I had to stay out of town longer than I first anticipated and called and there was no problem for them to just continue keeping the cats for another 5 days. Very accommodating and very nice staff. I would board my cats there again. They even trimmed their claws for me! 😀
Chuck Tami: Our experience wasn’t great. Upon arrival I was asked if we were (idk remember the name), I said no. Turns out they were also expecting a cat at the same time. I have a dog. I was charged me for an examination ($70) which should have included listening to her heart, checking her hips and taking her temp at the very least. Although, when the doctor asked what her temp was the girl gave him a temp. Not sure how she knew what it was when she never even touched mydog let alone took her temp. The doctor did look for a spreading of the skin irritation. I already knew it hadn’t spread on my dog or was contagious because me and the rest of my animals do not have any spots. Moving forward, the doctor had no clue what was wrong with my dog yet prescribed some meds. $146 dollars (no change provided) and MY DOG WAS MISDIAGNOSED. Meds didn’t help at all. In fact they made her worse. I took her to a different vet. They told us stop the meds she was given, also what was wrong with our dog and gave her different meds. They are working and she showing signs of gettingbetter the next day and two days later looked like she was healing nicely. No thanks to this facility. Hope this helps.

Rebecca Webb: Must watch carefully because I was charged $20 for a nail trim I didn't ask for! My dog had a grooming appointment the very next day and the nail trim is part of the $45/grooming fee. Also, my sister's dog had 20+ warts removed last week and wasn't sent home with an antibiotic. The bill was $1200 and then they were charged ANOTHER $130 when the little scabs became infected. I love this clinic and have gone here for eight years or more. Just saying I do not agree with some of the charges....especially since the dollar is being stretched lately.

I had my kids with me since it was a time sensitive matter. They were sweet and accommodating to us, while handling the situation in a way not to distress them further.

Tamara Tomboc: Way overpriced, was charged an urgent visit fee that I was never told about, gave my cat a rabies shot without me giving consent for that particular shot and was given a hard sell by the tech when I brought in my cat and when I picked her up, felt like I was a car dealership with that hard of a sell. I will be taking my fur babies elsewhere from now on.

We understood during Covid the switch to curbside/drop-off care, however Covid is over and we cannot support care which does not have our interaction with the vet and only a technician. It is not acceptable to us and will never be so we are moving our new rescue adopted dog to care which seeks interaction with the owner to provide a cooperative plan together and provide the best type of care for our pet.We have taken our Yorkies to Spring Valley Vet for two years. We appreciate the work they do caring for rescued dogs for Rescue One. We have had great care from all of the vets but particulary appreciate Dr. Nicole Scott for her recent care for our dogs. Vets are certainly important but we also recognize the teamwork of the desk workers and the vet techs because it's the total package makes it all work! Prices are very reasonable too. Thank you all so much!

Hannah Hymes: We switched to Spring Valley based on a friend's recommendation about 3 years ago. They are always super nice, accommodating, and helpful! I feel like we can trust their advice. One of our dogs gets scared and can be aggressive at the vet, but they're very understanding. They handle him with care and confidence so he feels more comfortable. Overall, we've had nothing but great experiences with Spring Valley. I have and would recommend them to a friend!

Lisa: Staff & vet techs are very friendly, explain billing, & are sweet in their behavior towards the pets that come in. Dr. Scott is great... she spends time with your pet & really listens to what your concerns are & answers questions. She also writes down the treatment plan or what she wants you to do as far as meds, shots, food, etc so you don't have to try to remember all of it. She's very personable while still being time conscious & examining your pet(s). I've been taking all of my cats to this veterinary clinic for a little over 17½yrs & will continue to do so as I know they're receiving excellent treatment!Update 01/2023: Dr. Berlin is also excellent in her care of your furbabies... very calming, reassuring manner not only in how she cares for them, but also in how she takes the time to explain things, answer questions, & utilize her expertise when giving advice on how to best treat your pets. Even though they are doing curbside service due to the Covid pandemic, she still takes the time to come out to your car & speak with you regarding any concerns the vet techs might not be able to best answer.Whether your appt is with Dr. Scott or Dr. Berlin, you can be sure your pet(s) are receiving the best possible care, & their love of animals really shows in how they treat your pet & in talking with you regarding their care. You can't go wrong in putting your pets health & care in the hands of either of these talented, knowledgeable, pleasant doctors!
Maddie Norman: This place was amazing for my cat. I just picked her up today after she needed a surgery and they took wonderful care of her. You can tell they love what they do and every employee I spoke to was so kind and informative. They were considerate of my budget while still providing excellent care to my cat. Marsha Poindexter: Dr. Nicole Scott has seen Tanner 5 times in less than 2 months, she prescribed him Apoqual for allergies, Tanner started drinking water excessively after 6 weeks on the medication. I took Tanner back for a re-visit. After translating through a vet technician that comes to the car, she told me that Dr. Scott had to run tests and disclosed the $250.00 in charges, then changed her mind after she was questioned, maybe no tests were needed. Dr. Scott for the first time in 2 months came out to my car with concerns, that we discussed. I allowed them to test. The vet tech came back to my car, I was shocked that I was told that he had pancreatitis and diabetes. She said that they needed to hospitalize him for $350.00 ish for the first day and followed by $250.00 per day after that, and start him on Insulin for $110.00 per bottle, $30-40 per syringe and seen weekly for 2 to 3 months or euthanize. This place pulls on heart strings, money or death. I was crying so hard the vet tech told me that I had to make a decision right then and there. When she backed me in the corner I decided to take Tanner home to spend my last few nights with him.When I reviewed my invoice I seen that Tanner was given a shot of Penicillin which if he had diabetes should of never been administered by the vet.After a couple of days Tanner had returned to normal he is doing excellent, no hospital stays, no meds, and is not dead, he is eating, drinking, not in pain, happy and healthy in my care.However, Dr. Scott does not look like her photos on the website at all, she has a full set of veneers, long false eyelashes, botox, and long hair extensions. Maybe she needed more dollars for her lifestyle.I understand why she does not want in house visits. They can blame Covid-19 all they want, this is for personal gain.Please look at her handwritten notes attached. Also the photos are of Tanner 1 week later.Go elsewhere this is an awful veterinarian clinic.

Erin Shean: I really do love the staff and vets here however they are still doing curbside and I do not believe you can get the best level of care playing telephone with the vet. We did take our new dog there once but until they open back for in person service, we are sadly taking our dog elsewhere. Again, staff is great, vets are so caring but I just am not in love with the current business model in November 2022.
Sadie Carter: They are continuing to allow only curbside pickup for vet visits in fall 2022. This makes communicating with the vet like a game of telephone. A vet tech has to come out and stand by your car window (in the rain, cold, heat, or snow), and relay everything to the vet inside. This continually causes errors and communication problems.I sent them records from previous vets, but they never integrated them into their system, so they have made several mistakes based on not knowing the medical history of the animal.I think they are competent vets and techs, but I don't think their curbside model allows for proper care of animals.

Natalie Roadster: Had just moved here from Arizona. Maybe 3 weeks in Town. My 50lb Female Goldendoodle decided to get into trash for some Chinese Genral Taos Chicken leftovers. Bad bad deal. Immediately became ill and upchucked. Next 2 days slowly declined.Asked a friend where to go. Hometown she says. They are WONDERFUL. Read the reviews. Called that afternoon. Got in at 9 am. By now my girl is definitely not doing well. The minute I walked thru those door? Front desk gals welcomed me and Shiloh and knew of what was going on. Immediately put us in a room. Intake by Dr Seals assistant was detailed, very professional, kind and informative. Dr Seal? A Guardian Angel. She spent time with me explaining what they were going to do to diagnose and what tests they would do first. I really appreciated this and how it wasn't some aggressive bunch of tests, labs, etc as all the Vets back in Arizona. An hour or so later, I walked out 3 Rx, Food and detailed directions. They called next day to check on us. I'm telling ya...Hometown IS 5 star...10 if I could do that. So grateful for Hometown.

I came here extremely frantic with my pup that had an obstruction in his stomach and after the emergency vet closed we needed to find a place to transport him too. Hometown vet accepted him with arms wide open and he has had nothing but the best treatment here since. All the doctors and staff are so knowledgeable and on the top of their game. They even text you so with updates as the day goes along. If you are looking for a place where you know your pup is in good hands come here.

Called here and the staff was so sweet and Dr. Julie took care to test and research for everything that could be wrong, being thorough so as not to treat the wrong illness and make the exsiting situation worse. She cared about our Jazzy and didn't just assume. It was comforting to know there was proper care taken all the while explaining everything to us. Would recommend!
Stacey Adamiak: We travel full time and pass through Springfield a few times a year. The professionalism and care exhibited by Dr. Seal and the staff is exceptional! Feeling so lucky that we have access Hometown Vet for our pets.
Kris Daniels: Got my Shar Pei in and they are a difficult breed. He has an ear infection and horrible experiences with past vets in town. They did a great job comforting my baby. Haven’t been able to get in his ear yet but prescribed him some calming medicine for our next visit so guess we will see. I really appreciate them being so patient with us and look forward to making them our permanent vet for him and our other 2 dogs!
Aaron Pfeiffer: My first in person here was a horrible day for our family. We had to put our beloved family dog down due to cancer and heart failure. It was a hard day for us since he was the same age as our daughter and was our first family pet. Hometown veterinary hospital went above and beyond to help us through it. We had our two young boys with us and they obviously didn't know what was going on but we felt like we needed to say goodbye and weren't sure how we were going to be able to with two young boys in tow. Hometown volunteered to help watch our boys for us so my wife daughter and I could have our time. When it was time to let him go they helped us comfort him and he was able to pass quietly and very gently. We decided to have him cremated and his ashes were returned to us in a very nice solid wood box with his name engraved in it. We had felt bad because we had forgotten to ask for a footprint before we left and they had provided one to us without us ever asking. Later in the mail we received a heartfelt personal card from Hometown expressing their sympathy. We couldn't have asked for a better experience on a hard day like that. They treated us like we were friends or family and that's all you can hope for from someone who is taking care of your family member.

Have taken 2 of our 4 babies here, and everytime it's been amazing! The front end staff is sweet and willing to answer questions. Your in a room right away. The techs and Dr's are very quick to come in and talk with you about your baby and their issue. They are all very kind and loving with the animals! Even when I call to make an appointment or have questions they are all right on the ball! They are a bit high pricing wise - but to me it's worth it to find a caring vet.

Brad Beach: They took really good care of our pups. We already have a return reservation scheduled.
Jave l: We took our cat in for some x-rays and were told that they would call us when he was ready. Not only did they sedate him without our consent but they were done for over an hour and did not call us WE had to call them. We never got to speak to a vet at any point. The lack of communication and professionalism is appalling. The only good thing I can say is that the building is pretty. Take your babies elsewhere.They claim that they kept him for “observation” but the email they sent me said they didn’t call us because they would rather go to lunch then do their jobs.

Cant follow directions and will preform extra services on your pet not asked for. micayla king: 10/10 would recommend this vet to anyone. I brought my 17 year old beagle to this vet when I moved down here. They took the best care of him and helped him with getting proper medications, food supplements, and even shampoo to help with his skin issues. When it came to putting him down they walked me through what would happen and gave me time to process/just be with him. We had only been going there for about 6 months and it had felt like we had been with them for years, by how well they took care of him and me on such a hard day. After everything I didn’t expect to hear from them until I have another dog in the future, but a week after my dog passed I received a flower delivery from them saying sorry for my loss and then I got a card in the mail with the everyone that got to know him, even the doctor saying about how special my dog was and how they felt lucky to get to know him. It meant the world to me, especially at one of the hardest times I’ve been in, with losing my best friend. You can just see how much they care for those that come in and in todays world that’s hard to find. Will definitely bring any future pets to them.

The boarding staff is so great, they’ve been willing to go above and beyond with our girl to ensure a good transition. For example having a couple meetings before she get boarded so the environment and people are familiar. They are so patient and I can tell they genuinely are excited when they see her and love hanging out with her whenever she gets boarded.The vet was excellent too with our checkup. She didn’t want to push too hard and was willing to work with her to check the things that needed to be checked.We love Galloway and wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Jennifer Brake: I cannot express our gratitude enough! Our kitten had to have emergency surgery and his recovery was going to take place at Galloway. All of the staff were compassionate, knowledgeable and always kept us informed of everything that was happening. Unfortunately our baby had complications after surgery that were just not possible to fix but I know he was in the best hands possible! The staff made an unbearable situation as easy as they could for us in every way. From his care to the planning of his cremation and they even allowed us to come in on a Sunday to say goodbye. Today we received the most beautiful flowers from the staff at Galloway. I will be recommending them to everyone I know and will from now on take any fur babies I have in the future to them for what I believe is the best care in the Springfield area! Thank you Galloway for treating us and our baby with love and compassion!

Jodi Garvin: This has been our vet since we moved to Springfield 3 years ago and I have been very pleased until this visit. The care was great and I’m thankful they were able to get us in right away. But I did feel that they were trying to get extra money from me with requesting tests before the vet came in the room to examine my dog. It was decided those tests weren’t necessary after the vet examined my dog so I’m glad I didn’t let them do what they asked to do when I first walked in the room.

Cheryll Arnold: We are transporters and acquired a Norwegian Elkhound puppy recently and she was due for her 12 week vaccinations. Since we were just traveling through, I called and they were so nice as to fit us in! We were highly impressed with the facilities and the staff there. They were so nice and our puppy was well taken care of and fawned over! We were extremely pleased and happy with the service and will return to Branford Animal Hospital if in the area again!

Recommended putting her on a small amount of steroids and in just 3 doses she is doing great. Her zoomies and playfulness is back and she seems so happy. Highly recommend Bradford Park Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Chilla.

Gary Wright: I have taken a few foster dogs to this vet clinic. Getting an appointment is usually easy, even during the pandemic years. Attentive staff and doctors.I also recently had to euthanize one of my cats. I was offered a quiet space to be alone with her before the procedure. I was not pressured for payment up front, and afterwards was shown an exit to avoid exiting through the lobby and mingling with other customers. Helped to make an unpleasant experience as agreeable as possible.

I brought in my cat for a check up and was impressed with how well the staff treated both her & me! Abby: The staff is super friendly and I do not want this to take away from that, but I felt their examination fee was overpriced. If you’re a college student definitely call and ask how much the fee is before you go in. I should’ve done that, I had to go to this vet as my regular vet did not have an openings for a last minute appointment. They also automatically ordered a supplement without double checking with me or going over the options. I just thought that was weird bc my vet and my friends vet always goes over the options of where to get a medication or supplement and how much they cost before doing anything.Just something to consider, as I know this is a college town and lots of people have pets near this vet!If you’re ok with the fee, they are a very kind staff and really care about these pets. I just can’t afford their prices compared to other vets in the area!
Irma Maldonado: My Chi went down hill pretty quickly. She had some fluid in her lungs due to cardiac issues, and I made an appointment with her regular vet, and the appt was for three weeks!! Woke up by her yelp in the middle of the night, no other choice than to take her to the Vet ER. The clinic was easy to find, very clean, attendants very nice and compacionate. The vet cater to her needs,but she was too sick to take her home. They let me hold her and she rested in my arms. Is one of the worst experiences I have ever had, NOT WITH THE CLINIC, but putting her down.
