Marsha Williams: Current customer here : I have mixed feelings with my experience with this location. I appreciate the manager (Heather) as she is friendly and helpful. I also have spoke with Hailey and she has always been friendly and understanding. The biggest issue I have is I'm either put on hold or nobody answers the phone when I'm trying to communicate about mechanical repairs that are covered under warranty. Due to my circumstances, Heather was able to approve me for a vehicle but i don't appreciate the condensing attitudes and being ignored during the initial application from other staff. I don't appreciate the rudeness and the fact that I waited hours and felt like I was being ignored while the staff sat in one of the offices talking the entire time while i had my mother in law outside with my children. I've also been told over the phone that my account is fairly new and it was not acceptable to set up payment extensions when i just had to pay out tow fees and repairs on a vehicle they sold me not even three months ago (hence the engine replacement needed). So communication goes along way and the staff should be more friendly and considerate as I have always made my payments.

Eric Good: For the first year payments were taken out on the agreed day. Then they started coming out 3-5 days after which started causing missed payments because of other auto payments coming out before hand. I started getting calls from carhop demanding payment or they were going to take my car. They stated it was my bank not releasing payment which I got a print out of the payment request showing the dates carhop requested payments showing it was carhop not sending the request on time. They repo’d my car and left me stranded the day before my new payment arrangement were to come out directly from my payroll check so they would get them on time every time, but they said I owed them late fees on the missed payments even though it was their fault and I proved it! The new payment arrangement they agreed to were going to be more than contracted original payment of 171.00 and I had it set up for 200.00 instead but they still took my car! Watch your account when dealing with them. I loved my car and had no issues with the car just the way they treated me and the signed agreement they did not follow.Update 5/18/23: haven’t heard anything from them and they ended up adding what I owed on the car and a repo to my credit score when I gave them the car back with the keys brand new battery and my Missouri license plates and they re-sold the car from their lot…. Does anyone know what I could do about this? I suggest looking at other dealerships when purchasing from a “buy here pay here” or take your chances with CarHop….. had absolutely no issues with the car I was buying before I gave it back, I really liked the car but I wasn’t going to let them take advantage of me

Justin: Bought a 2012 Cadillac SRX from here. A week later we already had to replace rear differential seals that were leaking, front shocks, and sway bars. The repairs cost $2500. Now we are having to take it in again for another rear differential leak. I called the first time we had to fix it. Brad was supposed to call me back, but never did. Hard telling how much we will have to pay for this new repair. Have had this vehicle a little over a month now and already having to repair it several times. No offer to help out with costs, not even a friendly phone call to work things out.
Spiderman flash: DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THESE PEOPLE! IF YOU DO GET THE WARRANTY!! I bought a 2012 Cadillac within a week we had to use the warranty! My husband and I both tried to reach out to them, but they didn’t call back. 2,500 dollars so far and needing more! I am in the process of gathering information to send the attorney general.. I just saw the completely unprofessional response from my review from the business office owner. This is a COMPLETE fabrication. I never yelled or cussed at a secretary, nor did my husband call and apologize for my behavior because that did not happen. No one ever reached out to us about covering ANY charges the warranty did not cover. If you would actually call us back, we could give you ALL the repair information… and again we are still not done. I feel like your inability to respond to us directly shows what kind of business you operate. I already expressed my discontent for your professionalism and your slanderous accusations. I am still in the process of turning you into the attorney general, and I would advise other customers that have experienced the same issues to do the same.

Boston Huddleston: This place is terrible spend 12 thousand on a car and the whole thing was a lemon I just spent 10 thousand to fix the car because all the gaskets where blown and the timing gaskets blown, the vacuum lines are all gone took it Audi of Springfield and the rebuilt the whole engine pretty much these guys are a rip off they couldn’t care less about you, my water pump went out as well and that’s WHAT OUR WARINTY COVERS OUT OF 10 grand THESE PEOPLE ARE A RIP OFF!!!! Truck needed all new tensioners and pulleys, oil pan leak and rear main leak. They offered not 25 percent of 50 cost of replacement but zero dollars. Buy from them with caution and thoroughly inspect your vehicle cause they sold me garbage. Will not be buying anything from them again, contacted Scott and was told I'd get call back. Yeah still waiting on that guy. Going to cost 1900 for a vehicle I've had all 31 days and they're doing nothing to make it right. Wouldn't let me reply to you Mccoy, my wife is Saniya she bought. We definitely reached out and spoke to Scott I did, probably took no account of call. I explained exactly what I stated above, still have no call back.

Had the Oil pressure light come on the first day of driving vehicle it had absolutely no oil soon after the engine light came on and this is within the first 2-3 days of purchase . Which its is still on and im having to fix out of pocket. Was told they would take care of it but as soon as they heard there was more work to b done he stopped.. they also give u an inspection when purchasing DO NOT TAKE IT , HAVE THE CAR INSPECTED URSELF be very careful when purchasing from them.. They are all about sales with no importance of the customer purchasing.No sir i seen your response i bought car with almost 140000 miles I have 141000 on it now all sensors are on and ive had issues with it since I bought it and was told you no longer wanted to help me with it .. I have taken it to a few dealerships and they just apologize that I got ripped off .
Jason Cox: Purchased a car that supposed to have never been wrecked. Been wrecked, supposedly no rust, has rust. Asked for an odometer statement as my state was going to mark exempt. Said they would mail it to me. Now with my title exempt for actual mileage car is worth less as I waited 3 months for the Odo statement that never came after several attempts to contact. Very bad experience from start to finish and one of my worst online purchases ever! As most people are honest. This dealership NOT so much.

We almost gave up until we came across SMC. We were hesitant to go up there and test drive and deal with another sales rep. but we gave it a shot. Ryan and Phoenix were awesome. They were laid-back and not push at all. Not only that but they took such great care of us. Any further vehicles that will be purchased in our family will be done with them. Thomas Gaspard: My father and I have been searching for a specific car for some time and found it at SMC and I'm glad we did! Michael was upfront and honest about everything! So honest that when my father offered him more money than SMC was asking for the car we wanted while it was on hold, he declined the offer for more money!!! Who does that these days? Michael at SMC, thats who! He wanted to give the customer that contacted him first the opportunity to purchase. Fortunately for us, the first customer was not able to purchase the car and Michael called us back to let us know it was available and didn't even raise the price knowing we wanted the car and would have been willing to pay more than asking price. We live in Minnesota, but felt comfortable he was representing the vehicle properly, so we jumped in the truck and took the 600 + mile drive down and couldn't be happier. We were going to rent a trailer and tow the car back to MN, but decided to have it shipped. Michael went above and beyond to help get the car shipped to MN so we could return home. In the future, if I need any vehicle, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from SMC sight unseen and just have it shipped to MN. Many thanks to the staff at SMC for the easiest vehicle purchase I've ever been a part of!!!

Was told by our warranty company as well as 3 different shops that they should have known there was a problem with my vehicle before selling it. Was told “can’t believe we’d buy something like that much less sell it to you” after receiving a call from their “trusted” shop who explained the condition of my vehicle to later be told “ well I’m sorry for you but good luck” very dishonest dealership who thrive on taking advantage would highly recommend taking your money else where!

Obytai: Sold us a car that in 3 months needs thousands of dollars worth of work. The current price of repairs are half of what we paid for the vehicle and have the real potential of going up in price. I should have known better when the Gentleman that sold it to us commented about if they had any guarantee of their product they wouldn't make any money. I guess that meant that the cars they sell are lemons and everyone would return them. RED FLAG. I know I am responsible but when you are desperate because you have your elderly parents you need to get to a bi-weekly infusion, you tend to wrongly put your trust in people. Stupid me. I saw a response from May Motors to someone else with a similar experience. May said this wasn't common but apparently it is. The staff seemed like nice people but I would not recommend them to anyone. Caveat emptor.
Julia Loya: *edited to add* we traded in the vehicle we purchased from May Motor pretty quickly (through no fault of the car or company, we needed something fast then were able to shop around and get a dream car) and so we called to request a GAP refund. It was taking a while, but we didn't have to call May because they were on it and taking care of things behind the scenes making sure the GAP company took care of us. I could not recommend this dealer any more. They are truly amazing in a world where used car dealers is a naughty word. Thank you for all your time and care!! Honestly one of the, if not the absolute, best car buying and after care experiences we've had!We live in NWA, but my husband found the car he wanted at May Motor Company in Springfield, MO. We called to ask what their financing options are since they aren't a large dealership and Mark was able to answer all our questions related to financing, being out of state and the car with ease and professionalism. We submitted our application online and Mark called back shortly after that with financing terms. We told him it sounded good and headed up to the lot. When we got there the car was ready for us to test drive. Mark went through the entire car with us and showed us everything about it. Financing paperwork was filled out and ready to go. We spent longer driving up there than we did at the actual dealership! They weren't pushy, they were super honest and friendly. And the car was priced right, disappointed I didn't get to haggle! Bonus points bc the owner brought their dogs in and my daughter got to pet them! Highly recommend looking at them if you are in the market for a vehicle!!

Jennifer Honeycutt: If I could give a 0 Star I would, I don't usually leave reviews but I am very disappointed with the vehicle I purchased. I was told all about how good this car was, and that it had been checked out and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.... However not even a month after I bought it, had to have new cv joints put in it, I haven't even had it a year and I have had to have the transmission rebuilt, new starter, new brakes, new brake calibers, and when I was having them replaced they found that the front motor mount was broke completely in half.... And last night headed to church the front driver's axle broke completely in two!!! I have had nothing but problems with the vehicle I purchased and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER TO ANYONE!!!!!
