Justin Murphy: A few coworkers and I were looking for a good spot to eat lunch and settled on El Puente. We were seated very quickly and the service was pretty good. All of our dishes were tasty and up to par, and the vibes were exactly as expected for a Mexican restaurant. It wasn’t anything really amazing or out of the ordinary, but definitely a solid spot. I would come here again, for sure.

Tom T.: Margaritas were decent but small. T-bone steak was very thin and way over cooked, however the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Chimichanga was tiny compared to other restaurants in the SGF area. Guacamole was more crushed avocado as it was bland with no seasoning or diced vegetables. The server was very nice but was a "ghost" after serving our food. I expected more from this establishment being on Republic Rd. With the quantity of Mexican style restaurants in the area, this one was very dismal.

Brandon Lauthern: I hate having to change my review, but tonight was an opinion-changing experience. I ordered the El Puente Fajitas. Everyone else's food came out fairly quickly, as did my beans, rice, and guacamole plate. Everyone else was nearly finished with their meal before my fajita meat even got to the table. By then, my beans and rice were cold and Everyone just sat and waited for me to finish. I ordered corn tortillas, and the waiter brought flour tortillas. That wasn't the worst of it though. The El Puente Fajitas comes with shrimp, chicken, pork, and beef. As I hurriedly ate my meal, I realized that the pork was not only rubbery but . . . It had bones in it. When I brought this to the attention of our waiter, he simply stated that "those were ribs" and that's "how the pork comes". In a fajita!?! Yeah, I probably won't be back.If you eat here, chew your food thoroughly, folks.

Rolando Otero: Very stylish Mexican restaurant with great food. My wife and I went there for lunch and were greeted by friendly staff and very savory lunch menu with reasonable prices. I had the Burrito de Carnitas which I didn’t realize would be smothered with cheese sauce. I normally don’t like that but this cheesy sauce was scrumptious! I also tried the Rancheros beans which was so tasty with a hint of chorizo in it. My wife got the chicken enchilada which she raved over. It’s a nice place for that special night out. Can’t wait to come back.

Ciri: I must say the people here are not that great. One of the host who sat me was awesome and very kind. Even tho it was a wait. She kept talking to me and it made my day but for the servers not great. they keep getting my order wrong. And was just rude to begin with. when I was leaving the host who sat me just smiled and made me laugh as I left. I think she knew something was wrong. Dallas Miller: Food was OK at best, I had the combination plate which had the same taste across the plate. Same unseasoned ground beef in the taco as the enchilada. Same bland refried beans in the "burrito"(beans rolled in a tortilla)as the plate. Salsa was sweet like marinara. And best of all, they charge 3% for using a card.

The carnitas tasted a lot like pork pot roast without any seasoning. So it tasted a lot like tortilla chips with pot roast covered in cheese. The dish also had a pepper icon indicating that it was supposed to be spicy, but I found it to be very mild. Tammy M: I think the only thing I've ordered yet that was disappointing was the tamales. I grew up on a border town and from Arizona where tamales tend to be a good size. Other than that, I have enjoyed everything. I'm picky about salsa and thiers is very good. Good seating, good wait staff, and reasonable price for the portion size. I mainly order to go through the drive through which has never taken more than 10 minutes.

Eric Sells: Granted - I was a solo diner, so few waiters are going to eagerly serve me. Yet, the following was my experience:I seated myself at the patio. No one came by for ~3-5min. I went inside to ensure the staff knew of my presence. That forced a drink order and chips. 10min more and I got a menu. At minute 28, I passed on a food order and asked for the check.The margarita and chips were good. Average. Service bad enough I'll never know about the food.

Jay Roth: As Tina Turner sang, “Simply the Best,” so was this restaurant! In Sunday Lunch with Mom fashion, I ordered the Tacos de Pescado La Paz (fish tacos) and mom had the Vegetable Quesadilla. This restaurant understands that you eat first with your eyes and the plating was exceptional! Rarely, if ever, can I say that the food looks like the pictures on the menu, but all plates I saw at our and surrounding tables were exquisite.The taste matched the plating in that it was outrageously good! The swai fried fish was perfectly crispy and warm in my tacos!Our server was also probably the best server I’ve had in awhile. He complimented me on my pronunciation of “pescado la paz”, kept my drink filled, and was very warm and friendly. “Serving” seemed important to him! I appreciated it!

Ronda Patterson: Party of 5 went for Mother’s Day meal for the first time. We got the Chimichanga, their sauted veggies, which are awesome, chicken and spinach enchiladas, fajita nachos, and quesadillas. Will definitely want to go back!!!
D E: Service was excellent. Our server was cute, friendly and he wasalways checking up with us without being intrusive. Food is SO GOOD, very fresh. The restaurant is always clean and decorated cute for the holidays (cinco de Mayo) this time. We were celebrating a birthday, and did not feel rushed to leave, plenty of time to visit.

Shari Peterson: I hate to tell everyone about this jewel of a restaurant because it's the secret wonderful restaurant of my friends and I. We even have a favorite waiter and place to sit! The food is to die for, and enough to take home for another meal. We've never been disappointed in this wonderful place! More meat than other restaurants, gigantic portions!
Sheng Thao: My Family and I had the Fajitas for 2, shrimp tacos and elote/corn soup. They did give us chips and salsa to start off with, not pictured. Our Waiter was not attentive, he didn't ask us how the food was and we had to ask more than once if not twice for salsa, napkins and drinks refill. The food was decent, where you can find it anywhere. The best tasting item we had per my Husband's opinion, was the elote/corn soup. Note: No Menudo on the menu. Would we return again? Most likely not. But definitely try it for yourself, your experience may be different from ours.
