Best South American Restaurant Springfield Near Me

Joseph Reno: My wife and I just left Café Cusco after a wonderful anniversary lunch! This was our first time eating here and I have to say right from the beginning that this place is AMAZING! As a retired Air Force veteran, I have traveled around the world and experienced many cultures and food. Now, I find myself always comparing restaurants to the places I've been. Seldom do they even come close comparing here in the States. From the first bite, Café Cusco, however, had enjoying the food as if I were actually sitting in country! If you're the type of person who wants to experience the culture and food of Peru, but don't want to leave Missouri, this is the place to eat! The food will melt in your mouth and easily transport you there! ...and as a sidenote, if you're lucky enough to be served by Joshua, you're in for a real treat! Joshua, from one Air Force Veteran to another, thank you for your service both in uniform and tableside! It truly is a small world!

Boy am I glad I stayed , the chefs in the kitchen are madmen . Some culinary masterpieces live on the menu , it is a creative and flavor bursting mind blowing stop and just need silence to make an audible mmmmmmmmm. Get the blackfish it may be over cooked but the flavors going on in the dish will have you falling in love with Café Cusco . Hate I live 5 hours away . BBStreetwise: It was a lovely experience. Service was really nice. We had arrived early for a reservation, and they had the table ready to go. The waitress was exceptional at her job (especially juggling serving multiple tables). Other than not understanding what the food names are, it was an experience worth it.Edit: The waitress' name is Morgan, so, if you're reading this Café Cusco, good job hiring her. She is exceptionally kind and a hard worker. I had the sweet potato glass noodle stir fry, and it was delicious. I always get the pesto pasta (so tasty and a menu staple), but I felt I should try something new. I'm glad I did! We had several questions about the menu, but our waiter seemed new and uncertain on how to describe things. So we ordered as best we could and hoped for the best. I got the Avocado with chicken salad sandwich. It came with a small handful of greens. The salad dressing is delicious. The sandwich was ...not quite good. It was dry shredded chicken with avocado mashed up in it. I got a scoop of that on dry naan-like squares of bread.A bit of pickled onion, a few greens, and 2 cucumber slices. It was very dry. I asked for extra salad dressing, and that kept it from being so dry. Kinda disappointed.We waited almost an hour before we got the writer's attention to get more water, and some ice, and more coffee. It was 20 minutes or more before he came back. We asked if they were busy, and he said it was empty inside. Any way, he brought our checks, finally came back to collect, and we never saw him again.Hopefully, he's new and can be trained better. The waiter at the other table seemed better and more attentive.We might try it again sometime, but the waiters need more education on what they're serving, and a little more training.

The food had very good flavors. Super tasty. I might not get the pork ribs in the fajitas next time, but it was still awesome. Might replace it with Carnita meat next time. Rolando Otero: Very stylish Mexican restaurant with great food. My wife and I went there for lunch and were greeted by friendly staff and very savory lunch menu with reasonable prices. I had the Burrito de Carnitas which I didn’t realize would be smothered with cheese sauce. I normally don’t like that but this cheesy sauce was scrumptious! I also tried the Rancheros beans which was so tasty with a hint of chorizo in it. My wife got the chicken enchilada which she raved over. It’s a nice place for that special night out. Can’t wait to come back.

Ciri: I must say the people here are not that great. One of the host who sat me was awesome and very kind. Even tho it was a wait. She kept talking to me and it made my day but for the servers not great. they keep getting my order wrong. And was just rude to begin with. when I was leaving the host who sat me just smiled and made me laugh as I left. I think she knew something was wrong. Anyways I'm saying she was the one who made my day. And made me want to come back. If she is ever fired or something I will not be coming back

Dallas Miller: Food was OK at best, I had the combination plate which had the same taste across the plate. Same unseasoned ground beef in the taco as the enchilada. Same bland refried beans in the "burrito"(beans rolled in a tortilla)as the plate. Salsa was sweet like marinara. And best of all, they charge 3% for using a card.

The carnitas tasted a lot like pork pot roast without any seasoning. So it tasted a lot like tortilla chips with pot roast covered in cheese. They serve primarily fusion cusine, with a heavy emphasis on vegan and vegetarian options.I've had their Pad Thai and now their Peanut Satay (both with tofu), and they're both excellent. Atmosphere is great, the food is plated artistically, flavor is beyond amazing, and the prices are pretty reasonable for what you're getting, which is upscale trendy dining. The lady at the register said no, but she could do a sugar free vanilla coffee. I declined, but she then surprised me with a virgin mojito with Splenda! It was so delicious! Bethany Price: I loved this place when it was a food truck but I feel like their quality has diminished a lot since they have been inside the VIB.The pineapple chicken fried rice used to be so incredible but now it has tiny pineapple tidbits that are hard to taste or see, the chicken is dry, it is heavily salted and even though they offer different levels of heat they rarely remember to add it when I request it. Also, the price doesn't match up with their menu.I don't know. I miss the old crew, the old truck and the consistency they used to have.

We had the Drunken noodles and Garlic noodles (a special) and were both very happy with the food. We had the large portion, but I think the single portion will be enough for next time. We got to sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy our meal. The do have seating inside the hotel also.

Eric Morris: I like the food, but charging several dollars more than the menu (both online and behind the counter) says is NOT an ethical business practice. If you can figure out how to update your cash register with your new prices, you can figure out how to update the price board.This is basic business law. You offered food a certain price, and in ordering the customer accepted your offer. Then, you changed the terms of the offer by adjusting the base price upward (by over 20%). The menu makes it clear that the the BASE price charged did not match the offer made by the menu.The cashier was unable to explain the difference, but this is a management problem, not a cashier problem.

Michael Williams: This is the best place for a California burrito I have ever been, when I tell you each bite Is packed with flavor and attention to details, everything from texture, consistency, even distribution of the ingredients inside, the tortilla is soft and fluffy but still firm enough not to rip, and the sweet and spicy sig sauce is immaculate. In 40 states and 2 islands I have never had something this incredible 5 stars for service, 5 stars for quality and flavor, and 5 stars for price and options.
