Down The Rabbit Hole Tarot: Let me take a minute to talk about Rusty and the crew that was there. I came in with an extremely specific need and when I told him the specs for what I was looking for he started coming up with all these different ideas, the other guy that was there was also a wrath of knowledge. No matter what obstacles I threw in because with my situation there are plenty, they came back with multiple solutions until we were able to get it down to one that was the best possible option for the space I have to work with. I visited at least 6 other stores and was turned away at the door each time. Rusty saw I had something to be fixed and he never gave up. I am ordered now and am excited to see how the new piece is when it comes in. I can not thank you enough Sofa City on Sunshine for the amazing customer service that you have provided. I am grateful beyond what mere words can say!

Filed a claim online for a tear in the seam, claims department said it was still under warranty and I needed to contact weekends only. Called them today, Springfield store has closed down and has dissolved their warranty department and the technician has left. Manufacturer is not willing to help. Weekends Only is not willing to help. Stuck with a hole in the seam of my cushion for a year, and hopefully can file a claim a year from September…

Hailey Mcdowell: I am not surprised this place is going out of business. I first purchased a couch here earlier this year for our upstairs living room. Came to pick it up with my truck and trailer on the date I was told it would be ready. Upon arrival I was told only half the order was in and I would have to come back. I live pretty far out of town so I was a little irritated but ended up coming back a couple weeks later and picked it up. Within a couple months the upstairs couch, which had hardly been used, already had two seems completely torn all the way across. I called about getting the couch fixed and was told we could only get in store credit for the couch and that specific couch was out of stock. So we decided to replace the couch with a couple recliners on in store credit. We talked to a store associate who assured us we could pay for delivery and the store would deliver our new furniture while picking up our old furniture simultaneously. So we paid the $180 delivery fee. The delivery date came and went and nobody arrived. We called to inquire about our furniture and we’re told the store no longer offered delivery even though we had already paid the delivery fee. Long story short we ended up exchanging the old furniture ourselves. We had to call an off site location about getting a refund for the delivery charge. We were initially told there was no record of us paying for delivery but luckily we had our bank statement and receipt saying other wise. We finally were told it will take up to 30 business days to get the money put back on our card. Like every business, this place has some good employees and some totally incompetent employees. I can’t say I’m surprised they’re going out of business. I also won’t be surprised if we don’t end up getting our refund. My advice, don’t shop here.UPDATE: it’s been 20 days and I still have not been refunded the $180 delivery fee I was charged. I called today and was told the manager is out of the office and I might get my refund by early February.UPDATE: we’re a week in to February. I called again and was told our refund should be in the “next batch.”

Not only did it arrive damaged, but they sent me the wrong sectional, they put pieces from 2 different sectionals and called it a day. The top matches, but the connecting brackets underneath it does not. Had to pay to get that fixed. And now, they are going out of business, and their warranty will no longer be valid..........

We are “midway” in the process…bought one recliner and ordered a living room set that we haven’t received yet. The first recliner we brought home had a construction issue. Ian and slumberland went above and beyond to get us the right chair! With my back issues, I was very relieved that I didn’t have to wait weeks for another recliner. Gill M: We came here for a mattress and a recliner. We spent 2 hours being shown the best mattresses which I did not want. When we got to the point of getting the financing the older gentleman helping us seemed frustrated that our budget wasn’t 10000 plus dollars. We ended up finding a mattress we liked and it was fairly cheap compared to the tempurpedic. He kept reminding us that our budget barely allowed the mattress and we should try other financing companies which I did not want to do. He was very pushy and not once did he thank us for purchasing or anything. We had a younger guy named Dante who I would assume was being trained he was very friendly and not pushy. We decided to purchase our recliner elsewhere because the older gentleman was so pushy and kinda rude. My boyfriend got approved for a lot more than I did and I all we saw was dollar signs in the older gentleman’s face. He kept trying to sell us adjustable bases for as much as our mattress cost which we repetitively declined. Looking back we should’ve just walked out but we really liked the mattress we got.

Doug Edens: Finish failed on a table included in a $2,000 dining room set within 5 months and Ashley informed us they don’t stand behind any quality issues if the day it was delivered the furniture is in good order. I have been an Ashley customer for 30 years and could not imagine they don’t stand behind any quality issues with their products, I guess we were lucky up to this point.You can see form the photos the tables finish is clearly delaminating with widespread finish failure.After we contacted Asley in January after a long delay, they sent out a repair person in April who agreed it was an unrepairable condition. After 5 weeks of no word, I called Asley this week to find out the next step and was told “we determined not to cover the damage because when we delivered the table it was in good condition and that is our standard policy”.When I asked when this decision was made, they said in April. I asked why didn’t you contact us with the result then? Response, nothing, not an apology or anything. Let’s recap; their policy is to not stand behind any quality issues and to not communicate with their customers. Is there any major store in Springfield that has such a policy? If there was would you knowing shop there? Of course not.

kelly cook: We like the store but it’s the staff that makes a difference. We met Mary months ago while shopping for a bedroom suite. While we didn’t purchase anything at the time, we were very impressed with her knowledge and personality! So much so, when it came time to buy some other furniture, we came back to Mary! We live an hour from the store, so we communicated a lot through text and pictures. She was great at sending us pictures of suggested pieces and she helped us tie it all together with existing pieces we had. She was great and made the buying experience very enjoyable!

They damaged our furniture prior to delivery, so it didn’t arrive as scheduled. Then when I called customer service, they try to lie about the circumstances and blame us for it not being delivered. The woman said, “they tried to deliver, but nobody came to the door.” I told her that was not true! Then she said, “they tried to deliver it, but it was refused at the door.” I was like, What????? My husband said nobody ever came to our house. Then the lady said, “ok, the furniture got damaged and so we’ll reschedule your delivery for next week”. Umm, no. I either want the furniture tomorrow or my money back.
Brian Vega: Lance is absolutely amazing! He has been helping us for years. He is very personable and makes us feel like a part of the family. He is super knowledgeable on all of the product, and always goes above and beyond to make sure we are happy. THAT is the reason we keep going back to the store.

I already spoke with Brad, the Store Manager, and he offered zero help or recourse, as well. Frustrating and useless conversation. Lots of blaming the manufacturer, etc. Please have him contact me if there is a sudden change in policy and something can be done.

The craftmanship of all of the pieces we have bought far excels anything from the other stores in the area.In Springfield, Aaron and Donna are great to work with and gave us plenty of room to look around the store and there was no pressure to buy or a push to certain items. I highly recommend stopping by and asking for either of them if you are looking for new furniture. We eventually found exactly what we wanted for some bedroom side chairs that were surprisingly in stock with the fabric we wanted.One thing to note is that if you will be ordering, the wait is 8 to 16 weeks depending on the style and fabric you choose, but the wait is well worth the quality of the furniture.

Monday, stopped in to the showroom and bought a new recliner, in stock I was told, and would be delivered Thursday. Perfect, re-arranged furniture to prepare for delivery, well, they delivered the wrong chair. But I was assured that my recliner was in stock and they would be out with it as soon as possible. Phone call on Friday, no recliner for me, back ordered until sometime in August. Got CC refund today. My invoice included a ‘complete a google review for a chance to win $500’, do I have a chance ? Heheh. Seriously aggravating, the one thing I don’t have to spare is time, and if they just told me to begin with that they did not have the recliner I was looking for in stock, that would have been fine.

Jessica Wallace: Customer Service! We were promptly greeted by the floor manager and were checked on frequently. We were permitted to look freely without any "sales pressure", but were always able to easily ask questions. I was shown how to operate the various functions of the recliners, as well as shown possible color combinations. Brian went above and beyond and explained everything from removal of sofa legs to financing options. They also have amazing sales. Definitely recommend La-Z-Boy in Springfield, Mo!

When we came back the next week he remembered me and was just as helpful. We bought 2 couches and 2 recliners. We will definitely look for Corbin when we get our house completed and need a rug to go with them. If you want a non pressure knowledgeable salesman ask for Corbin.

I never called them on the phone or asked anything of his staff,- I was actually there in person to view a couple items and see if they're what im looking for-Jim forgets customers can come in to his shop and see the merchandise. Jim also seems to have forgotten that in addition to seeing things in person, bidders and customers alike can actually see what he's selling, because HE POST PICTURES ONLINE . There are many ways to see what any auction has for sale, so sorry Jim, " my man", but your response shows how little you think of your customers, how you respond to honest criticism and how little common sense you have. Anyone can see what you have to sell- thanks for illustrating how you don't think before you speak, but don't worry, I won't be back- ATX treats folks much kinder.The worst customer service of any auction company in Springfield comes from the owner Jim,who is very abrasive and rude.Pro tip Jim : Springfield has loads of auctions selling the same Amazon and box store inventory as you do, in new condition too. Customer service is all you've got to separate you from the other guys.Try learning some manners, or you'll go out of business here. The folks in Springfield have too many choices to tolerate an angry little man- remember that the next time you yell at your customers. Being nice and/or professional matters.
James Clemmer: Horrible online auction site sold me items they didn't even have onsite and then with no communication decided to not come up with auction items and just text refund receipt no explanation nothing. They apparently use stock photos how else can you list something you don't have total waste of my time and gas. Don't trust anything they say terrible service. Products in store all look like damaged returns from other places buyer beware. More lies had a witness with me very polite to staff waited to get items more than willing to come back later in the week for "lost" items no message no contact just a text stating there was a refund on my card so over an hour one way trip for 1 item waste of time no voilence at all bad bad bad company defaming people too wow.

When I took it out of the box to use it, the unit had been used and was full of dried animal hair. Nobody had bothered to clean it. When I called to complain, the woman I spoke to was very unconcerned with my problem. I will never be back to this store.
