Shanghai Inn: what do users think?
Frank Zaragoza: I have used the driv-thru & have ate inside here and have never found another place that even comes close to the food they make. This is the only place that I'd ever give a 5star rating..Kid-friendliness: Very friendly to everyone..Parking: Plenty of parking if you are eating inside and it's not hard to get out of the lot.
Rakel Rose: Great food, excellent customer service!I would love to see more traditional Chinese food on the menu, but I know other people aren't as open to trying it. Everything we had was fantastic though!Sesame chicken had the best fried chicken I've had with Chinese food. Crab Rangoon was amazing, but I wish there was crab in it! Had it the next day though and the wonton was still crispy and delicious. Chicken & Shrimp combo fried rice was one of the best fried rice dishes I've ever had! And the Beef and Broccoli was phenomenal.I can't wait to try it again.Parking: Drive-thru available

Paj Moua: We chose to eat here when my boyfriend and I stayed in Springfield, since we were traveling through the states and this place was not good. I’m from Wisconsin so I trusted google reviews and was super excited only to be disappointed. We got shrimp lo mein, orange chicken with veggies and it came with rice, egg roll and crab rangoon on the side. I liked the lo mein noodles but the shrimp tasted old and gross. It didn’t look right either. The egg roll did not taste fresh at all either. It felt like they left it sitting out and served it just like that. The only good part was the orange chicken w/ veggies and the staff was friendly. I love Chinese food and I really wanted to give this place a chance, but the quality was not giving. Save your money if you’re coming from another town or state!

Alex Spalding: Favorite Dishes: Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Sweet and Sour ChickenGetting away from the Cashew Chicken, this was my personal favorite Chinese food place in town and I remember how I felt when I discovered it. It's a small place, I didn't have high expectations, and there was a deal on the Orange Chicken at the time, so I ordered it. My mind was blown. I have never since had orange chicken like theirs, and it is something I often crave. They have other great dishes here, too, but try the orange chicken and you will fall in love. It is not a glaze, but a dark and rich spiced citrus sauce, featuring chilis and aromatics. It was so good. There were times I'd feel like I was in the mood for Cashew Chicken, but felt somewhat undecided, and then I'd remember the Orange Chicken and have to go here instead. I've walked here, back when I lived on the North side, and driven across town to eat here when I didn't. It's such a hidden treasure, and never as busy as it should be.

Robodie - the Kung Fu Ninja Robot: Very pleasantly surprised by this little place I've driven by for years but finally visited last week.First of all, they've got the best flippin' potstickers on Earth! The reviews raving about the egg rolls were spot-on. If you're a "has to be a specific kind of egg roll" person (I am), you'll probably love them.Everything was hot and fresh and the owner (I think) was super nice even though I rolled up at 20 minutes til close. Portions were generous, everything was delicious, even the leftovers were great.

Christopher Clark: Really exceptional Chinese food in Springfield. Lots of flavors come through in each dish. Service is prompt. Great option if looking for more authentic Chinese food in Springfield. Not great if you’re looking for cashew chicken or other more Americanized dishes.
Scott Wyatt: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Amanda Schilling: Have had there food a couple times and it's good. However recently had really bad food poisoning from here and now a bit worried to go back.Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Steve Sanders: This hole-in-the-wall restaurant has THE BEST Chinese food I have EVER had. Mind blowing. It's a family operation, multi-generational, and you can tell they care. The first time I stopped in, I asked for an order of eggrolls. The owner's son, mid 20s, Chinese American, looked at me with disdain. “We only serve authentic Chinese food here.“THAT IS A GOOD THING. You will not be disappointed. I went back just two weeks later, this time with my family.
Jen Deall: Holy Cow!! Chinese foodie to the max and this place hits (most) every point. Authentic is an understatement. Every plate has its own unique flavors. Don't go expecting ambience or high end service. Truly a MUST GO for food. I altered a weekly business trip to a different day since they are closed on Mondays. Worth it.Food: 5/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Michael Gaudio: Got the pork belly with rice noodle and the cilantro lamb. Both were amazing. Huge portions great service. Felt like being in China.
Dalton Altizer: MIND BLOWING FOOD! the sweet and sour pork is the single best Asian dish I've ever had. The chicken is so good, it makes other chicken look bad. Tony Chien: I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant while I was in Springfield for a weekend. I decided to give this restaurant a try due to a high Google rating. The restaurant was small. It had simple decor and austere furniture. It was packed with customers when we arrived. We did have to wait a little bit for our food. Fortunately, the food presentation was excellent, and the portion was plentiful. The food was delicious and tasteful. It had a menu of authentic Chinese food. The price was reasonable. I would recommend anyone to come either early or late to avoid crowds during lunch and dinner time due to a limited seating capacity.
Ben Smith: Amazing real Asian, everyone so nice!

Mo Hardy: Hands down the best Chinese food I've ever had. The braised pork belly is outstanding! SO full of flavour and luxuriously tender. Everything was fantastic and I cannot wait to go back. Caitlin: This is still one of my absolute favorite places to eat in springfield. I moved away last year and come back every couple months to visit family, every time I come back I have to go to Corner 21.The egg tofu on sizzling plate is delicious and stays hot the whole meal, it's possibly my favorite restaurant dish in all of springfield.
Linkhey LC: This small, unassuming building will fool you. A little white box on a corner but it is definitely a spot you will keep coming back to. Try something new each time, there is nothing bad here

Bao Bao Chinese Bistro: what do users think?
Yana Bary: I get inflation is bad but maaaaaannnn…I ordered a spicy chicken and what I got was lots of ONIONS with 3 tiny STRIPS of chicken!!! I literally had to dig in to find some chicken…even though the sauce tasted good it would not trump quality and quantity of meat. Also, this is the only place that gives you one box of rice for two people. Very disappointing first experience.
Dalek Nation: I love you Bao Bao
shawn stewart: Their sandwiches are bland and regular food is too small amounts and not very good. I also ordered egg rolls at 8 and they had zero egg rolls and didn't care for their poor customer service. Terrible Chinese food and not worth the money!Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Sarah Howe Miller: Outstanding service & excellence food!
John Deutsch: We had a very enjoyable lunch at Bao Bao. The hot & sour soup and the wonton soup were both excellent. The crispy orange beef and beef with green beans are delicious. Way above Springfield's average for Chinese food.

maria ferriss: Crab Rangoon with no crab and over cookedWonton soup - very bland with under stuffed wontons (if lucky 1/4” x 1/4” x 1/8” - almost like why bother)Vegetables w/white sauce - no flavor - very blandBourbon steak - ordered extra spicy - descentAmericanized - really not worth a return visit
Paul Boner: Nice place and friendly service but terrible food.
Cassie Heimann: Price of pork fried rice is double the advertised price. Hardly any pork in the fried rice. Found 3 tiny strips of pork. Crab Rangoon was old. Won't go back.
RipVanAllan 1983: I was told about how this place served authentic Chinese food and I wanted to check them out. I ordered the Chef Special Bourbon Steak with Fried rice, Pork Intestines with Onions and the Pot Stickers. I loved all of it, there is some spice to the Bourbon Steak from the pepper in the dish and the Pork Intestines had red pepper in it. Overall I liked both dishes, and I loved the Pot Stickers, they were my favorite of the three. I will be back to try more authentic Chinese dishes.
Beau Brantley: Good food, cheap prices
Fred Vogle (EternalLonewolf): First time customers and will keep this place in mind next time I'm in the area. Will have to try the duck dish next time. The potstickers were delicious.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes General TSO's Chicken, Pot Stickers …More
Dewayne Wade: My wife Googled top Asian restaurants and off we went. It's kinda a hole in the wall in what used to be an upscale area. I love General Tso's chicken. I got the large for my wife and I to go. There was about a cup and 1/4 or 1/2 of fried rice and 2 crab Rangoon included. I'm all about the sauce, and I loved this sauce....color, taste, and texture....oh I won't forget "amount" ! I have to have enough extra sauce to sop up the rice.
Jim Hardin: Very small restaurant. But excellent food and friendly atmosphere.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Rita Peck: We were terribly disappointed. The food had an off flavor and texture. I wasn’t sure what kind of meat it was. They did take off some money and the Waitress said they had had several complaints about the meat.
Jordan Junge: Love this place! Used to go here, visiting from out of town, had to stop in. Same faces and consistently great food!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Michael B: Love the authentic Chinese food
Hayden: Look no further in Springfield, Mo area for Chinese food. I have found that every Chinese restaurant in Springfield I've tried tastes very processed and not very appealing. This charming resteraunt in Chesterfield Village has the absolutely best tasting quality food in the area. You will not regret it. The pork intestine was deliciousFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Grace Warneke: Amazing food! Everything we got was amazing! Have very authentic options.

Erin: I am soooo sad to have to change my review from 5 stars. But you never know what you are going to get anymore. We get good egg rolls then ones with rotten cabbage. Good chicken then stringy weird pieces. This was always our go to till lately. I don’t know where to go now 😭😭😭😭
Chelsea: Best cashew chicken in town 😎🤘🏼
Kristin Michel: The food was awful! It's like all the chicken is just coated in a different sauce. The Lo Mein was bland and tasteless. The egg rolls were decent. It's not a place we will be back to.Food: 1/5|Service: 4/5 …More
S B: A much more honest description of "cashew chicken" would be fried chicken lumps in too sweet sauce. There were no cashews or vegetables and the rice was sad sad sad. I wasn't expecting much, but this was terrible.
K. G.: I have visited Canton Inn every week for years! at an average ticket of approx $25+/- that is $1,300 a year $20,000 in sales for 20 years if I cont to go here. That adds up. What does not add up is after eating food from here on 3-10-23 (Wed) I have been pretty much living in my bathroom. A few days I never even slept. I looked at your health dept inpection from 3-6-23 and seen this:"CANTON INN - CITY205 W SUNSHINE ST SPRINGFIELD Map it3/6/2023 5:15:00 PM Routine Inspection; Result: ActivePriority Violations Found: 4"Priority Violatiotions "4" is four to many. Martha Richter: Great food great prices
Alex Spalding: Favorite Dish: Cashew ChickenCanton Inn is the place I remember most for being voted best Cashew Chicken in town on a consistent basis. I wouldn't say it's THE best, but it's up there, top 3 for sure. It's a great option if you're trying this local classic and want have the gold-standard experience. The cashew sauce has excellent flavor, hewing close to Leong's original recipe I believe. Canton Inn or Leong's both tend to be the places you take someone who's new to the area to try Cashew Chicken for the first time -- in fact, it's Canton Inn most often due to it's convenient location close to another local must-have experience, Bass Pro Shop. It tends to be busy as a result.
Jeffrey (turtlesavingclub): Decent Chinese, cute location. I'll surely try some more things on the menu. I'm only giving it a 4 because what I had (extra spicy sesame chicken) was just ok. I'm guessing their specialty is something different on the menu. I'll adjust accordingly in the future if it matters to anyone... 😅Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Jason H: Good food and very friendly/attentive service. I would eat there again.
Pratham: I had the orange chicken and ill tell ya it was deeeelicious, best orange chicken i ever had. crazy fast service and just amazing overall i will be back for sure and ill bring more friends and family
carmen k: I really liked the food here. Everything is fire.
John Gaunt: Fresh food that is light on the sauce. This is not buffet food that has been sitting for hours. Crisp vegetables.Clean, well-lit dining area. I think that this is a remodeled Long John Silvers, so the restrooms are only OK and not as new as the dining area.Opens at 1030 instead of 1100 like many other restaurants. This is a bonus for people who like an early lunch. Not a lot of waitressing or tableside service, but the non-cooking staff is busy running the register, cleaning tables, or other chores.
Donovan Bankhead: Curry chicken was DELICIOUS.Cashew chicken was crunchy and also delicious.Egg rolls were hot and fresh.Really dug this family run place. Clean inside, too.

Terra Norman: I love this restaurant!! They have great chicken, never dry. You can reheat their cashew chicken and it tastes like fresh. I pick it up for my family and they're all impressed and ask where I got it. My gma loves the moo goo guy pan. It takes a minute to get your food but that's not bad! It pays off! It's fresh af.Oh and I saw a bad review on here for their crab Rangoon and I think they saw it and fixed it bc you can see and taste the crab in it now.

Brandi Potts: We heard good things about this place so we decided to try it. I got the chicken and broccoli with steamed rice. The chicken really had no flavor other than like uncooked chicken. My girlfriend ordered the general chicken and she said it tasted like tomato juice. The steamed rice was hard. The service was nice and quick though.
Rick Martin: Ordered the general chicken ( extra hot ) , egg roll, crab rangoons. The general chicken is nothing more than cashew chicken with red pepper flakes and disappointment on it. Bland , no real flavor, it’s like they covered chicken in homelessnessThe fried rice is just plain rice, the egg roll was exceptionally greasy and the contents were so soft it was mushy .The crab rangoons are egg roll wraps with no onion , no garlic mostly cream cheese and a very small amount of crab.Service was quick and excellent
Michael Cook: Amazing food and great atmosphere!Recommended dishes Sweet and Sour Chicken …More
Paul Victory: spicy chicken was awesome ,sesame chicken was fabulousFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Sesame Chicken with Rice Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
Christopher Asher: Took 45 minutes to get through the drive thru line, got to the window and they tried to give me something else instead of crab rangoons (but still charge me for them) because they were out. There was one couple inside the restaurant…Oh, and “fried rice” is literally browned rice, my hunaan beef taste like it was cooked in the dishwasher, and my girls general Tsos was like cashew chicken. What a deal for 18$.

trinity walls: The customer service was amazing. Very great people ❤️
Alex Spalding: Favorite Dishes: Cashew Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, General ChickenI wouldn't call the Cashew Chicken at Riksha the "classic flavor", but it IS delicious and a classic Springfield establishment worth visiting. It's a great stop if you're downtown near the square, and a mandatory place to have in the mix if you eat Cashew Chicken on the regular. The chicken here is extra crispy, cut large, and has a bit of a country-fried flavor to me. Unlike some spots, ordering other chicken dishes here isn't a mistake; everything is good, and they are consistent with the quality. It's a family-run business, too. Years ago, I remember that somebody downtown smashed their front window in, and it was heart-breaking.

Grace Romas: My favorite place in springfield by far! The sesame chicken is amazing every time. Something better than the food is the exemplary service! The new owners are the nicest people I’ve ever met! One day I came in to pick up my food and there was a blind man getting his food in front of me. The woman who was behind the register swiped the man’s card then a prompt for a tip came up. This could have been an opportunity for the woman to give herself a good tip without mentioning it to the man, instead she clicked no tip, and handed the man his food and told him to have a wonderful day. 10/10 I would recommend this place to any food lover!

Treezus Christ: Stopped for the long line cuz I figured there was good too turns out it was just slow service.
Jennifer Shelton: If I could give zero stars I would. I had the sesame chicken and general chicken. The chicken was terrible on both, a lot of the breading was gone from the chicken and it was chewy. The portions were small for over $10 and both of the sauces tasted exactly the same just like pure syrup. I asked the restaurant why there was no spice to the general chicken and they told me that that was how they make it. I threw both orders away. It was absolutely disgusting. I will never come here again. This was by far the worst Chinese food I have ever had.
Bill Davis: The worst Chinese food I've ever had.

Marilyn Aldridge: Try the New mushroom chicken !! Wonderful ! The best !
Carolina Bonesteel: Drove by this place a few times I thought I’ll give it a try. Big NOPE I ordered orange chicken, some noodles and egg rolls. The worst orange chicken it taste literally like ketchup and the noodle taste like plastic. I told the girl in the front counter these noodles don’t taste great she said I could trade it for fried rice or steam rice so I went with fried rice. The fried rice was terrible very little bits of yellow egg and no seasoning in the rice. Overall the egg rolls were decent. Basically I didn’t get a good meal I literally can’t believe one place has such terrible tasting food. No way iam ever coming back I didn’t ask for my money back for what I took a chance on this place and it disappointed me.
M S (Advocate): Nice clean restaurant, great food, clean restrooms with humane toilet paper! (A restroom trip that doesn't resul in cuts and abrasions from shoddy TP is a win for me!)Lovely experience! I had the Combination with Rice Noodles ❤️
Mackenzi Martin: I will not be returning. I called to fix my order and The lady on the phone was rude and had an attitude. I repeated my order to them and they still got it wrong. Lost a customer.

Triple Eight's: what do users think?
Daniel Rathert: Ordered the crispy spicy chicken off the second menu, it was fantastic. the chicken was crispy as named and the heat was perfect. Tons of peppers sautéed in oil, garlic, and a few jalapeños. The customers next to us had the pork belly and I was jealous even though my food was a flavor bomb. Service was quick and very polite.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Cashew Chicken, Fried Rice …More
Randee Random: Place is clean and the staff is nice. However , The bourbon beef plate was mediocre. I wouldn’t order it again or come back. Rangoons and Egg Rolls were meh. I was disappointed to pay 15 dollars for food that I barely liked.Food: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
C.L.F Logistics: The food was delicious, authentic Chinese, as well as American Chinese cuisine
Joe C: The chef here is the best chef we have ever had the joy of eating. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Never enjoyed a meal as much I did eating here tonight with my new friends. I will be back many, many more times and I recommend this place to everyone.Vegetarian options: Delicious fresh vegetables and I am a huge carnivore
Susan Fan: General chicken was very good. Drive-thru was a bit slow.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5Recommended dishes General Chicken, Sour Chicken, Fried Rice …More
Chasity Mitchell: We had lunch today and the food was subpar compared to other times. One piece of my chicken tasted and looked undercooked.
Half Sumo: If you like authentic Chinese, this is for you. Springfield cashew chicken is above average. Service is great.Edit: today's food was horrible, luke warm, portion sizes have been cut in half since my last visit a few months ago, sauce was runny. Chicken tasted old, left over from the day before. We got the cashew and general chicken. The quality vs price equation, usually a sure thing but the price is up and quality is way down.
Jamie Shaw: Sauce is thin but the chicken was good
Alex Spalding: Favorite Dishes: fried calamari, Sesame ChickenI didn't love the Cashew Chicken here, but if you like Sesame Chicken, theirs is my favorite in town. The chicken is cut small, very bite sized, and the sauce is sweet, covered in sesame seeds. You can't beat the delicious appetizers at this restaurant either, to me these were the best part of coming here. I recommend the squid for sure. Used to be a lot cheaper, prices look like they've gone up.
Chris Phillips: Food is good service was quick and friendly. Cashew chicken sauce was a little thick and lumpy.
P M: DeliciousFood: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Jessica West: Mmm
Dan Scott: Ordered Kung Pao chicken was very disappointed. Very salty and Not spicy at all, crab Rangoon was cold, egg drop soup was just about room temperature. Can't recommend this place. Big thumbs down 👎Food: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Bein Broke: the sweetest employees!*update $11.99 for orange chicken 2 crab ragoon - not much chicken/poor quality thinned the sauce😢$4.99 order of 4 crab ragoon😳
Kim Kirby: I'm not a fan of Chinese food so that's the only reason I give 4 stars to the food but it was much better than other places I've tasted. But in all its a winner in my book. Great staff for sure! Some of the more attentive than most since covid made people not care about jobs. These people do care and it shows. My one weakness is egg drop soup and it really was stellar stuff!! Egg drop is about the perfect balance in the soup and it's not easy to get right but Triple Eights did it perfectly. No disappointment in this restaurant and if you like Asian food don't pass by Triple Eights on West bypass at the light just North of Sunshine.
Matt Carra: This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. It has been a couple of months sense my last time eating there. I would have to say it is some of the worse Chinese food I've had. The rice looks and tastes like instant was over cooked, chicken was so dry and the general sauce has lost its flavor. I won't be back.
