Walked around to the take out desk. Was told it would take 20mins and I would be texted. After waiting 1 hour I walked back in and was handed my food. Buck Fievre: We had a really great meal here on a Friday evening sharing beef graprow and Panang curry with tofu. We both like spicy food but on the server's, erm, subtle advice we went for 2 out 4. Which was just right.The thing these folks do really well is to infuse the cooking oil with pepper rather than to just sprinkle a bunch of dry pepper flakes on the food the way most places do. Jonathan: Ok who forgot to tell me about Tong's? I mean that is just cruel! If I had known about Tong's, this review would be five years old by now! I'm glad tho, because I've, unfortunately, had a recent rash of one star reviews. When I started writing reviews, I swore to myself I would not inject more negativity into a world that's already bursting at the seams with it. However, some experiences are so dreadful they need to be shared as a warning to others, in order to try to help them avoid a similar experience. I felt obligated to break a promise I made to myself multiple times and it was getting me down but now I get to write another, well deserved, five star review!Okay you're probably wondering "what about Tong's?". What about it? After sixteen years of industry work and 15 more years of appreciation, I've experienced a lot of culinary delights. I have enjoyed many delicious sensations brought on by a lot of various culinary practices from across the globe. I'll put it like this: my taste buds are jaded and they're used to just about everything. I'm hard to surprise. Tong's literally gave my mouth sensations that I had never experienced before. My wife and I ordered a salad, appetizer and two entrees, and the flavor combinations used in the entrees (all so So SO delicious) were so different from the other, it was surreal. I tried the entree she ordered after taking a few bites of mine and everything just kind of faded away as I got lost in the flavors, it seemed like none of the same seasonings were used however both dishes had flavors that would change and evolve in your mouth, while you chewed! We talked about it while we ate, she's an industry veteran as well. You know that after glow feeling new couples get after they romance each other? Well I have a quite similar after glow feeling from eating Tong's food lol. It IS that good! I have so many words at my disposal: I'm a published journalist (75 + articles, but that's an entirely different story), but all of them miserably fail to impart how good this food is. I'm speechless. Anyway, if you don't know, you should enrich your life by finding out. Who knows? Maybe you'll find your purpose in life! Maybe you'll quit drinking! Maybe your depression will be cured! Maybe you'll invent faster than light travel! I don't know, but I do know you'll be feeling better off in general after eating at Tong's! Go tomorrow!

I'm not a huge BBQ fan but this place could change that for me. Good BBQ requires no sauce & this was mouth watering good BBQ. I had the sampler platter & the only thing that wasn't perfect were the beans(shoulda ordered the Mac&Cheese instead). A piece of Texas toast was all that was missing. Very quaint & friendly place.

I didn't review it the first time I went because I wanted to see the same level of excellence reached two times in a row and boy let me tell you the quality, service, flavor and overall atmosphere of this place is incredible! I worried moving from Dallas that I would not find top notch sushi but this place has got me covered! Excellent experience. Huge shout out to the server who dealt with the extremely picky lady sitting nice to us and did it with such class and patience that even her friends were surprised. 10/10 Date night win!

Chelsea Mendrala: We arrived at the start of dinner on a week night with a party of 3. The host was rather rude, but otherwise our service was outstanding. We ate off both the happy hour and regular menu and enjoyed all of the rolls we ordered (8 total). Our waiter was very attentive, but not obtrusive. Laura Carr: Our waitress Dawn was fantastic and went above and beyond. Every person working seemed really friendly and helpful. I thought the restaurant was gorgeous and I loved the high backed booths. The asparagus appetizer was delicious, the Wasabi risoto was yummy but not enough heat. I thought the sushi roll we had was perfect and loved the drinks, but I was disappointed in the creme brulee, it wasn't even warm when it got to me. I will be back for sure, though!

Elisha H: This place is what I call a one stop shop.So first, the atmosphere was fantastic. It felt like a lounge in Tokyo. I loved the sofa lounges upstairs with the pillows snd the overall feel. Music was on point! And the drink options were fantastic as well as tasty! We had the Rose Collins and it was super refreshing!The food: It was traditional with a twist! Super flavorful and fresh, and lots of interesting options. The miso was the best I have ever had, and the edamame was yummy! They offer a lime to squeeze ontop of the edamame, and I loved it!Now time for the bad: The service was SLOWWW. We got there right when they opened, and there was zero hustle. Now I am a bit picky about service. But we go to a lot lf restaurants and usually the service makes or breaks a place. When we sat down, it was at least 10 minutes before we got water. Our waitress never introduced herself. Then it was at least 15 minutes before I got my drink after ordering it. And atleast 30 minutes before we got our two rolls. Then when I got my roll, we didn't have any soy sauce! So I had to wait another 5-10 mins for that. Now this is what takes the cake. BEWARE THE AUTO GRATUITY. We were a party of two, and upon looking at the receipt we noticed a "large party auto GRATUITY" for a 20% tip. That's a no from me dog. Especially when the hustle was lacking. If the service was good, I woulda let it slide. Granted, the servers weren't rude. They just took forever, and weren't very intuitive. When I asked the waitress she seemed super surprised by it, and said it must have been a mistake and she got us a new receipt. But to be honest with you, I don't think it was a mistake. Seemed like she tried pulling a fast one. I can't prove that, but just take it from me. Look at your receipt. Tipping culture had gotten out of hand.

We were craving Japanese food, and the desk people at our Hotel told us about Kai. The food was fabulous, as was the service and staff. Don’t miss this place! It’s well worth a visit, and we will return any time we are in the area!
