Robin Parison: I went in for my appointment to get new glasses and contacts. Dr. Susan Rice was who they put me with . I was so upset by the time I left that I swore I would never go back and a year later when I think about the way that appointment went still angers me. The doctor started throwing out all these acronyms and proceeded to tell me don’t worry about what I’m telling my assistant as long as I know what it is everything. OK. That did not sit well with me. I want to know what you’re calling all the stuff that I’ve never heard before. She changed everything on my glasses and contacts that my prior optometrist had done at the eye exam. she changed the prescription on my glasses and where I had one side for reading the other side for distance which was working out perfectly, she told me that we need to get my glasses back on the right track, and when she did that it messed up how I can see and read. Just a terrible experience. I wouldn’t go back if they offered me a free exam and free glasses. My husband went the same day wasn’t happy with the Doctor he went to go see. So I guess it’s gonna be a matter of opinion if you decide to make an appointment. But be careful.

I stepped on my wife's plastic frame glasses and she was desperate for help because the frames she loved so much were no longer available. She took them to Dick and he said he could probably fix them but it would cost her $35... She has since purchased new glasses but she still wears her repaired ones most of the time because of the frames. The frames Dick miraculously saved.

Jennelle Courtois: I shopped around for glasses, and I am so glad that I landed at Stanton Optical! I dealt with Kirsten who was phenomenal! I gave her the vague instructions of wanting something "fun", but not crazy. I tried on a couple of pairs while she put together a selection for me to try. Kirsten held up a pair for me to try, and I told her they were too big. She encouraged me to try them on, anyway. I immediately fell in love with them!! Kirsten is extremely talented at choosing the right frames, and her customer service is top-notch!! Thank you for a wonderful, fun experience!!

I’ve been waiting over 3 weeks for my glasses and still haven’t received them. The website will give me a date, and then when that date comes it updates again and pushes it back another week. Then repeats. I have called customer service and every time I call I am told that my glasses have been shipped and they will be there the next day….. I’m still waiting and no one can seem to tell me what’s taking so long. The other pair I ordered is still in the lab, apparently so I’m not sure when I will get those. At this rate it will be 2 months after my original appointment. If you can go any where, please do. This place is a joke.
MO Green Acres: We called for an appointment for our daughter, and the call goes to a call center not the office. We live 45 min out of Springfield. They had an appointment in 20 minutesWe told the guy we couldn't make it that fast. He said he had one at 4:30 (hour and a half) so we took it. On the way we get a call from someone at the office telling us that unless we are there for a 3:45 Appointment and beat the 4pm person there our daughter will not be seen.We just made it before the 4pm person, only to be told that there is no doctor in the office, and asked if we'd been made aware of that when we scheduled the appointment. No we weren't! They planned to do the exam telemetry. No thanks, we won't be back.

Poppy Cafasso: Honestly if I could leave lower than 1 star I would. First of all I scheduled an appointment and when I got to the office for my appointment they didn't have a Dr in. They gave me a Voom video exam. After having the exam I was told that they couldn't get me to 20/20 so I would have to come back for appointment with the Dr. He was busy the next week he was in so I had to schedule 10 days out. After seeing the doctor and receiving my glasses I told them right away that there were no bifocal in my glasses and that the prescription wasn't right because I had very blurry double vision. They told me to try them out for a couple of weeks because it takes time to adjust to a new prescription. I came back in 2 weeks later and told them it was not better and I know that there is no bifocal in them. They readjusted the frame and said it was crooked and that what caused the issues, assured me that they were seamless bifocals and I just needed to try and get used to them for another couple of weeks. I came back in again and the office was closed in the middle of the afternoon due to short staffing, so I had to drive the hour drive again the next day to come back for the 5th time now. I was told I was past my 30 day refund period and there was nothing they could do for me now short of paying for another eye exam and paying another $600 for glasses. Btw... I went to another place and they informed me that I was correct, my glasses had my old prescription put in and no bifocals, but still they won't refund my money or correct the prescription?

Lisa Goin: Shady and Dishonest! Made an appointment for an eye exam for same day glasses. Arrive for my exam, do the preliminary testing, go in the room for the exam to discover it is a telehealth exam! Was never told that I wouldn't be receiving a normal eye exam by a live doctor! After the telehealth exam I was told that one of the tests couldnt be done so I had would have to see the doctor in person the next week! So much for same day like they advertise! Fast forward to the exam with the doctor. It takes a whole 5 minutes, simple basic single vision glasses needed. I proceed to pick out my frames and pay for them. THEN they tell me I will get them in 6 to 10 business days!!!! How can they advertise same day glasses when it takes 2 weeks to get them. That is the reason I went to Stanton is for the SAME DAY glasses they advertise . Won't get my business again!

I had the opportunity to be helped today by I believe was the sales manager . She was very knowledgeable about her inventory and her job she also went above and beyond on helping not only me by getting my glasses to me same day but also my daughters problem she was having with her glasses . Dr Katie, Scot and Heather are excellent at what they do and present a contemporary but welcoming environment. Every bit of Springfield Family Vision is an example of doing things the right way. Teej League: I have never been so impressed with an eye care doctor. My experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Doctor Katie was very knowledgeable about light sensitivity conditions I have and offered the latest information in understanding light sensitivity. I was amazed at how much she knew, and how relevant she was keeping herself in the business. She was extremely relatable. She made sure I understood all of the things I could do to help my vision, as well as my new prescription. I was completely confident in her grasp of my medical history and the current condition of my vision. She understood more about migraines and fluorescent lighting and blue lighting problems than any doctor I have met, including neurologists. I cannot state enough how impressed I was with her passion for her job. The facility itself with very upbeat and everyone was kind. The clerk who helped me choose my glasses was also the best I have ever seen in that position. He offered all kinds of advice that was very practical on which frames best fit my face and worked with my particular vision history. No one was pushy about anything and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I don't think I can ever say I expected to have fun at an eye doctor, but I really did! I will definitely be using them as my eye care provider in the future and recommending them to friends and family as well.

Feels much less shopping mall-like and more personal. Also closer to my home and it gives me a reason to go downtown, (and parking could not be easier).Everyone I dealt with was both professional and friendly. Lots of cool new toys for the physical exam and yet somehow after 55 years of glasses the vision exam still comes down to "sharper/less sharp? one/two?" Whatever works but really?I arrived exactly at appointment time and still waited 25 minutes. No one mentioned this until the end of the exam. That's a real, "ahem, excuse me" oversight.Also, this was my first exam in over a year because Vision Clinic does not accept Missouri's medical coverage offering, (I am now on Medicare with UHC covering vision). I'm not sure what the reasoning is for this and no one has ever explained it, (at the National Ave clinic) beyond, "we just don't". I find this policy an affront to the state where you do business.

She also showed us several colors of lenses that we had never seen before. She was very efficient, and thorough, and even had another person check her math and the orders before submitting our order. Our glasses were ready the next day. Our family of four would highly recommend this location, and their staff.

Nancy Wethy: If I could give them a negative experience I would. Drove over 2 hours to get glasses. Was told I could get them that day. At a few minutes after 4 I had a pair picked and they informed me that it 4pm was the deadline to be able to get them the same day. So I had to drive 2 hours back home and then another 2 back the next day to pick them up. The glasses started having issues after just a few months. They never emailed me my prescription like they were supposed to and when I called to get it they said policy changed and now they can no longer email the prescription’s. Horrible experience with cheaply made glasses. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone!!

I am so picky and indecisive, but they always go above and beyond here to make sure you are happy and taken care of. They have fixed my broken glasses before and done so much to help me.
