Mike Burdette: The service was fantastic; we were a party of seven, and they made us feel special from the moment we walked in. Very accommodating, we had made a reservation, they had a table set out just for us! Our waitress was so nice, she made absolutely sure the order was right, and the food arrived in the right amount of time. But....hmm. The food was disappointing, and overpriced for what we got. Two of us got the Cubano, which looked pretty good, but neither ate the whole thing. I got the Ropa Veiga, which really wasn't worth $24. The rice and vegetables half of it was kind of ok, but the beef brisket part had no flavor at all...just a texture. I asked for some salt, kept putting on more and more, and finally all I tasted was the salt. There were a couple of other dishes ordered by others in our group, but overall we were rather disappointed in the quality and small portions of the food versus the price. It's too bad, we all love trying unique dishes, and a couple of the people in our party have had amazing Cuban food in other places. 3 stars because they tried so hard, but in the end, it's really about the food. So, my summary: Very, very good service, nice atmosphere, but overpriced and bland food. Won't be back.

Jamie Moore: Not related to the food, but my family and I were parked in the private parking out back waiting to go in to eat when one of the cooks came out to our car and rudely told us to move our car because the lot was private parking. We explained that we know and we're just waiting to go inside until our daughter woke up from her nap. He continues to motion to us move and that the lot was private parking. We love commercial street and the local businesses and respect the private lots, but the entire lot was pratically empty, so we were not taking the spot away from customers. We will not be eating at the restaurant again.

Justin Murphy: A few coworkers and I were looking for a good spot to eat lunch and settled on El Puente. We were seated very quickly and the service was pretty good. All of our dishes were tasty and up to par, and the vibes were exactly as expected for a Mexican restaurant. It wasn’t anything really amazing or out of the ordinary, but definitely a solid spot. I would come here again, for sure.

Tom T.: Margaritas were decent but small. T-bone steak was very thin and way over cooked, however the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Chimichanga was tiny compared to other restaurants in the SGF area. Guacamole was more crushed avocado as it was bland with no seasoning or diced vegetables. The server was very nice but was a "ghost" after serving our food. I expected more from this establishment being on Republic Rd. With the quantity of Mexican style restaurants in the area, this one was very dismal.

Brandon Lauthern: I hate having to change my review, but tonight was an opinion-changing experience. I ordered the El Puente Fajitas. Everyone else's food came out fairly quickly, as did my beans, rice, and guacamole plate. Everyone else was nearly finished with their meal before my fajita meat even got to the table. By then, my beans and rice were cold and Everyone just sat and waited for me to finish. I ordered corn tortillas, and the waiter brought flour tortillas. That wasn't the worst of it though. The El Puente Fajitas comes with shrimp, chicken, pork, and beef. As I hurriedly ate my meal, I realized that the pork was not only rubbery but . . . It had bones in it. When I brought this to the attention of our waiter, he simply stated that "those were ribs" and that's "how the pork comes". In a fajita!?! Yeah, I probably won't be back.If you eat here, chew your food thoroughly, folks.

jessing777: I ordered takeout about an hour ago. The phone was busy so I went in and ordered in person. I sat at the bar and had a beer while waiting on my order. They said it would take 15 to 20 minutes. I waited 40, no problem they were busy. I am staying at hotel across the street got to my room. The food was cold and old like it had been sitting there for quite a while. There was hardly any chicken whatsoever in the enchiladas. It’s was gross. I travel a lot. The quality of restaurants have just in general gone down. I will never return. Don’t waste your money especially on take out.
Barb Beezley: The food is the closest thing to being in Cozumel we've found in this area! Fresh, hot, amazing flavors! The service is perfect. The beans are yummy! Everything we've tried, so far, has been just delicious! The music, the decor, Everything! This place is so fun to go to! The warm salsa with chips, as well as the regular, is worth the trip! It's like going on vacation, even if you only have an hour!!

We got chicken fajitas to share, I can't eat green peppers and asked for none but wanted more onions. Asked for onions to be cooked well done. The order came out and there was a good amount of chicken but not double the onions and most of the ones we got were burnt black. We also got an order of ground beef chili rellano. When we got home with that order it was chicken rellano which the person that ordered can't eat chicken. Chips were hot and fresh as was the sauce.

Adam Russell: Quality of food has gone way down. Service was good. I went on Friday 11/11 for lunch, ordered a chicken and beef enchilada with rice. The chicken enchilada was not warm at all and it was hard inside. The rice was not fresh, with in 30 minutes of eating I was sick to my stomach and needed bathroom asap. I will not be back. I use to go here all the time.

Emily Matney: We had the Baja and a taco salad. Both were spectacular. What stood out the most for my fiance and me was our server, Kevin. Kevin made sure our drinks were filled, he was so incredibly helpful with suggestions and recommendations, and just all around super hospitable and accommodating. We would come back just because of his amazing attitude alone. The food, the atmosphere, the service, we will definitely be back.

Atmosphere is great, the food is plated artistically, flavor is beyond amazing, and the prices are pretty reasonable for what you're getting, which is upscale trendy dining. Jolanna Davis: I always love the food here, it’s one of my favorite restaurants in Springfield! Today I went here to pick up a to go on my break, and asked if the seasonal spritzers were sugar free. The lady at the register said no, but she could do a sugar free vanilla coffee. I declined, but she then surprised me with a virgin mojito with Splenda! It was so delicious! Bethany Price: I loved this place when it was a food truck but I feel like their quality has diminished a lot since they have been inside the VIB.The pineapple chicken fried rice used to be so incredible but now it has tiny pineapple tidbits that are hard to taste or see, the chicken is dry, it is heavily salted and even though they offer different levels of heat they rarely remember to add it when I request it. Also, the price doesn't match up with their menu.I don't know. I miss the old crew, the old truck and the consistency they used to have.
Murray Scott: Very nice restaurant inside of the hotel. Food and service was great. Interesting mix of Mexican and Asian dishes. We had the Drunken noodles and Garlic noodles (a special) and were both very happy with the food. We had the large portion, but I think the single portion will be enough for next time. We got to sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy our meal. The do have seating inside the hotel also.
Eric Morris: I like the food, but charging several dollars more than the menu (both online and behind the counter) says is NOT an ethical business practice. If you can figure out how to update your cash register with your new prices, you can figure out how to update the price board.This is basic business law. You offered food a certain price, and in ordering the customer accepted your offer. Then, you changed the terms of the offer by adjusting the base price upward (by over 20%). The menu makes it clear that the the BASE price charged did not match the offer made by the menu.The cashier was unable to explain the difference, but this is a management problem, not a cashier problem.

Gina Wilson: Our recent visit to the restaurant left us feeling extremely dissatisfied with both the food and service provided. To begin with, after we ordered and had waited for about 30 minutes, our waiter returned with the news that the restaurant didn’t have pork, making my husband's order of carnitas unavailable. Though disappointing, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. In lieu of the carnitas, my husband settled for the carne asada tacos instead. However, when our meals finally arrived, we were met with yet another disappointment. My Chile Colorado dish, which is usually a cubed meat accompanied with tortillas, fell short of its usual presentation. The meat resembled that of my husband's tacos, lacking the expected cubed texture, and the absence of tortillas left the dish feeling incomplete. Additionally, the rice and beans that accompanied it was disappointingly bland, further diminishing the overall dining experience. Considering the steep price we paid for our meals, we had hoped for a significantly higher level of quality, both in terms of the food itself and the service provided. Sadly, this was not the case. Furthermore, the lack of compensation or any effort to address the inconveniences we encountered only added to our disappointment. Given the underwhelming food, subpar service, and overall unsatisfactory experience, we do not recommend this restaurant.

I went inside to ensure the staff knew of my presence. That forced a drink order and chips. 10min more and I got a menu. Jay Roth: As Tina Turner sang, “Simply the Best,” so was this restaurant! In Sunday Lunch with Mom fashion, I ordered the Tacos de Pescado La Paz (fish tacos) and mom had the Vegetable Quesadilla. This restaurant understands that you eat first with your eyes and the plating was exceptional! Rarely, if ever, can I say that the food looks like the pictures on the menu, but all plates I saw at our and surrounding tables were exquisite.The taste matched the plating in that it was outrageously good! The swai fried fish was perfectly crispy and warm in my tacos!Our server was also probably the best server I’ve had in awhile. He complimented me on my pronunciation of “pescado la paz”, kept my drink filled, and was very warm and friendly. “Serving” seemed important to him! I appreciated it!

Shari Peterson: I hate to tell everyone about this jewel of a restaurant because it's the secret wonderful restaurant of my friends and I. We even have a favorite waiter and place to sit! The food is to die for, and enough to take home for another meal. We've never been disappointed in this wonderful place! More meat than other restaurants, gigantic portions!
Sheng Thao: My Family and I had the Fajitas for 2, shrimp tacos and elote/corn soup. They did give us chips and salsa to start off with, not pictured. Our Waiter was not attentive, he didn't ask us how the food was and we had to ask more than once if not twice for salsa, napkins and drinks refill. The food was decent, where you can find it anywhere. The best tasting item we had per my Husband's opinion, was the elote/corn soup. Note: No Menudo on the menu. Would we return again? Most likely not. But definitely try it for yourself, your experience may be different from ours.
