John Jenkins: Scam artist from flooring to the rental properties they have. Leave you and your kids and family in the middle of winter with absolutely no heat. CU red tagged the unit for a gas leak and they send a guy that just cuts the tag and turns the gas back on. So we called CU back out and sure enough still had a leak... they refused flat refused to replace the unit till winter was over. They don't stand by or do anything they say. If you do any kind of business with these people be prepared and be very cautious

Alex Carriker: You get what you pay for. Customer service from the sales staff was good but everything after was sub par. Installers forgot to cut out three holes for the floor registers and left the remnants of carpet everywhere. They refunded a small amount back to me since I had to take care of those things but this is the second time I've used them for flooring and the job wasn't done well. Won't be using them again, even if I have to pay more from someone else.

Starla Walton: multiple complaints about the installation contractors, and their coordinator, Dave. They have been awful, grossly unprofessional, rude, passive aggressive and have caused us TREMENDOUS distress. We are still awaiting installation almost 3 months later and living in our garage due to subfloors exposed with 2 toddlers, one of whom has special needs, and they could care less. It’s become a HUGE regret and if there were any way to undo it, I would immediately. Even though the actual LL employees and store manager brad have been helpful, cutting corners by using obscenely unprofessional contractors is abhorrent and they should be ashamed. It’s very literally been the worst experience of our adult lives.

Kirk Perryman: I recently bought a little over 600 sqft of laminate from LL. I love the flooring but i had to order it and it took 2 weeks to come in. Once it arrived all 31 boxes had damaged planks in them. The employee who loaded them told me to use what I could and box all the damaged planks up and return all at once. I ended up having 5 full boxes worth of damaged ones to return. I returned them and was told that I should have returned any box that had a damaged plank in it. I informed the employee that all boxes contained at leat one damaged plank and I was doing what I was told. I decided that despite the issues that I wanted to order more so that I could lay it in another room. I exchanged my 5 boxes of damaged planks and ordered an addition 9 more (14 total). I was told it would take another week and a half to come in. I picked them up tonight and when I got home I noticed that one of the boxes had been hit on the end of it(im guessing by a forklift). I now have to make another 40 mile trip to town and order another box and wait another week. Needless to say I'm very disappointed with the whole ordeal. This will make my 5th trip to LL and another delay in getting my floor finished.

We were trying to miss the rain later in the week.We drove almost 3 hours to get there. We wanted to get back before dark. Because the man at the front desk let someone who just walked in get loaded before us, it was 2:30 or later before we were loaded. We were taking it to a house we are working on so it was well after dark before we got home. However, the women who loaded our flooring was very good at her job. What was the point of the appointment?

Mike (Viper): Poor middle management, work atmosphere, and daily changing standards for grades of wood, quality standards for grading wood are based on personal opinions rather than a set "no better, no worse than" standard for consistent quality and depending on how bad the wood is for the day depends on how much worse they'll let pass for higher grades than it really is, "production bonuses" are based on the quantity of each higher grade produced rather than being based on the amount of production accomplished for the day, which is what it should be based on is how hard everyone works and how much wood gone through in the day. Hoping for a good batch of wood to run the whole day for a decent bonus isnt fair to the employees when they work equally as hard on good wood days as they do bad wood days. Its not the employees fault the wood is bad, if they work hard and produce alot then the bonus should match the work not the grades produced

Ryan Wardlaw: After working with Springfield Carpet One for about a year, not only myself was released for "inability to perform" while trying and giving my all to the company. The company is less interested in cherishing their customers and their needs, while promoting their "different programs they offer" where is smoke and mirrors when they know they have compition with the same product at much cheaper prices. While onto of it all not only letting go myself but others that have had years of experience because of disputes on doing a pushy sale method. Pushing the customer to buy then and there. Instead of giving customers room to breath. Then, after being let go, denying all former employees unemployment after all employees had been paid out but then been given a letter saying they had denied us. This is not a disgruntled employee. This is multiple. This is also for Pro Source. They would rather hire employees with zero experience then hold onto employees with decades of experience that know the customers needs. DO NOT BUY FROM CARPET ONE! You will regret it.

Kathleen Freeman: After 3 times installing vinyl in my kitchen and upstairs living area my floor still has pieces that come apart. I finally said forget it. Just leave my house. The first installers put a hole in my drywall, damaged my stove, damaged my dishwasher and went into my garage and helped themselves to my broom my mop and other things. When they cut holes for the floor vents they left the debris in the duct work. I had a water leak damaging my lament floor so that is why I needed new flooring. When they started on the kitchen area I was curious as to how bad the damage to the floor underneath was and I’m thankful I was curious because the installer was laying the new flooring right over floor that was still wet and molding! I have never had such a horrible experience with a contractor and I’ve had a few bad ones. I hope they enjoy the $4,000 dollars I spent to get a terrible floor that pops and cracks when you walk on it.

Edna C: Great customer service and all the sales talk but the work itself is questionable. It took almost 2 months to get things done. Having to pay up front gives no accountability to be reliable. It took so many calls, frustration and disappointment. I would not recommend this company if you don't want to be disppointed!

Jennifer Sturr: If I could give them zero stars, I would. Entire job was stressful and poorly managed. First of all, you have to pay for the entire job up front, and there is a reason for that as once they have their money, they could care less about how well the job is done. After the initial visit for measurement, they came to install the carpet and were short on pad material, so the full install didn't happen. The installer came back, and brought his small child with him. The installer damaged our newly painted walls and left hand and scuff marks through out the home (see photos). When we called to discuss with the office, they seemed somewhat sympathetic but did not offer any solution or compensation. On top of that, he ran out of carpet so had to reschedule the install again to finish the job. About two weeks later, a new crew came to finish the install but did not have the transition pieces. We made arrangements to pick up the transition pieces ourselves, as we live about an hour from Springfield. When we arrived, they did not have the pieces there for us to pick up and claimed a communication issue. A week later, they delivered the transition pieces and we had to install them ourselves. Again, no mention of any compensation, or attempt to make any of this right. Less than a month after install, there are visible seams which show signs of separation, and we have to go around and tuck the carpet in under the trim as it is pulling away from the wall already (see photos). We only had the carpet done this time, and were planning to have the plank floor done next, but there is no way we would work with this store again. Terrible service, installation and overall experience. I would not recommend.

She ordered and arranged for the new carpet to be installed in our house before we got back to Springfield. When we got to our new home I could not believe what a great job they did! In addition, the installers couldn't have been more professional, respectful, and excellent in their work. Our sanctuary carpet needs to be replaced and we plan to use them again when the time comes.

I took a remnant to Cardin's and the young man there looked it over and, within five minutes, found a carpet that matched almost exactly! They moved the rolls so I could be sure I was happy with it, cut it right then and sent it home with me and the price had my jaw hitting the floor!! The next time I need flooring, I'm definitely heading back there! I had a GREAT experience! Super customer service!

Selected Tuesday, purchased yesterday (Friday) and was told it would be ready for pick up today. Showed up and it was still buried by other material as well as still needed to be cut. Have been here waiting for 45 minutes and it's still not loaded. Clock is still ticking.

Brent Franco: They have a pretty good variety of pergo, and some miscellaneous economy tiles and imitation tile flooring. They also have carpet remnants and rolls of carpet. Their prices are really good if you're not looking for anything high-end or name brand. Some stuff they sell by the pallet.

Murray: Not a safe place for elderly or vulnerable to shop, according to the Health Dept guidelines. They dont require masks. I sat in the parking lot and watched SEVERAL people come and go without masks, so I called and asked if they wear masks. I was told it was an indoor outdoor store so they didnt have to wear masks and if they see someone come in with a mask, they stay away from them. And it sure looks like an INDOOR store, to me.
