John Jenkins: Scam artist from flooring to the rental properties they have. Leave you and your kids and family in the middle of winter with absolutely no heat. CU red tagged the unit for a gas leak and they send a guy that just cuts the tag and turns the gas back on. So we called CU back out and sure enough still had a leak... they refused flat refused to replace the unit till winter was over. They don't stand by or do anything they say. If you do any kind of business with these people be prepared and be very cautious

Installers forgot to cut out three holes for the floor registers and left the remnants of carpet everywhere. Won't be using them again, even if I have to pay more from someone else.

Jodie Martin: Online says open til 4. Drive across town to find out it’s “by appointment only” . Not quite sure how their hours are beneficial for people with regular working hours during the week. No wonder big box stores stay in business.

Ryan Wardlaw: After working with Springfield Carpet One for about a year, not only myself was released for "inability to perform" while trying and giving my all to the company. The company is less interested in cherishing their customers and their needs, while promoting their "different programs they offer" where is smoke and mirrors when they know they have compition with the same product at much cheaper prices. While onto of it all not only letting go myself but others that have had years of experience because of disputes on doing a pushy sale method. Pushing the customer to buy then and there. Instead of giving customers room to breath. Then, after being let go, denying all former employees unemployment after all employees had been paid out but then been given a letter saying they had denied us. This is not a disgruntled employee. This is multiple. This is also for Pro Source. They would rather hire employees with zero experience then hold onto employees with decades of experience that know the customers needs. DO NOT BUY FROM CARPET ONE! You will regret it.

Kathleen Freeman: After 3 times installing vinyl in my kitchen and upstairs living area my floor still has pieces that come apart. I finally said forget it. Just leave my house. The first installers put a hole in my drywall, damaged my stove, damaged my dishwasher and went into my garage and helped themselves to my broom my mop and other things. When they cut holes for the floor vents they left the debris in the duct work. I had a water leak damaging my lament floor so that is why I needed new flooring. When they started on the kitchen area I was curious as to how bad the damage to the floor underneath was and I’m thankful I was curious because the installer was laying the new flooring right over floor that was still wet and molding! I have never had such a horrible experience with a contractor and I’ve had a few bad ones. I hope they enjoy the $4,000 dollars I spent to get a terrible floor that pops and cracks when you walk on it.

Edna C: Great customer service and all the sales talk but the work itself is questionable. It took almost 2 months to get things done. Having to pay up front gives no accountability to be reliable. It took so many calls, frustration and disappointment. I would not recommend this company if you don't want to be disppointed!

Jennifer Sturr: If I could give them zero stars, I would. Entire job was stressful and poorly managed. First of all, you have to pay for the entire job up front, and there is a reason for that as once they have their money, they could care less about how well the job is done. After the initial visit for measurement, they came to install the carpet and were short on pad material, so the full install didn't happen. The installer came back, and brought his small child with him. The installer damaged our newly painted walls and left hand and scuff marks through out the home (see photos). When we called to discuss with the office, they seemed somewhat sympathetic but did not offer any solution or compensation. On top of that, he ran out of carpet so had to reschedule the install again to finish the job. About two weeks later, a new crew came to finish the install but did not have the transition pieces. We made arrangements to pick up the transition pieces ourselves, as we live about an hour from Springfield. When we arrived, they did not have the pieces there for us to pick up and claimed a communication issue. A week later, they delivered the transition pieces and we had to install them ourselves. Again, no mention of any compensation, or attempt to make any of this right. Less than a month after install, there are visible seams which show signs of separation, and we have to go around and tuck the carpet in under the trim as it is pulling away from the wall already (see photos). We only had the carpet done this time, and were planning to have the plank floor done next, but there is no way we would work with this store again. Terrible service, installation and overall experience. I would not recommend.

She ordered and arranged for the new carpet to be installed in our house before we got back to Springfield. When we got to our new home I could not believe what a great job they did! My master bedroom carpet is perfect. Thank you Julie for being so good at your job.

Covenant Baptist Church: Carpet One installed vinyl flooring and carpet in our church's facility. They were the best price of all the bids we obtained, and the quality of the material is great. The service rep., Julie, made the experience and process as easy as possible. She is so friendly. In addition, the installers couldn't have been more professional, respectful, and excellent in their work. Our sanctuary carpet needs to be replaced and we plan to use them again when the time comes.

Domestic Minister: A very nice showroom and warehouse! Courteous and helpful, gave us space to look for ourselves at carpet remnants (we were looking for a piece to use as a rug between our bed and hardwood floors). Was pleasantly surprised to learn they could put a finished edge on a remnant! Was thrilled even more when we found an already finished remnant (6x9) with a pricetag we could afford! They didn’t refund us the full $3000 deposit and calmed it cost $2200 to restock the flooring. I would understand maybe $500-$800 restock fee but $2200! That is absolutely terrible! Joseph Hamm: It's been a roughly a year since we hired Midwest Rug to redo the vinyl, carpet and tile flooring in our house and it's still frustrating thinking about the experience.The beginning of the process was great, with our salesperson being very helpful. It wasn't until we got to the install that everything fell apart. There was confusion if the bathroom gets vinyl or tile. Fine. Then the amount of vinyl flooring order was way too much. Like 10 boxes too much @ $100 a box. At first they said we would have to pay a fee to restock the extra that they ordered, but they finally waved it.The biggest problem was the constant changing of the price. Every time we met with our salesperson the cost was different, often higher and never adding up. When we finally got the bill it was not the same as what we originally signed for.I will admit that we made some changes during the process that made the process more complex, but by the end we were so tired and frustrated with the process that we just paid the bill to be done with it. Even though it was $200 more then what our salesperson promised over email the day before.In the end, we got the floors done and a year later they have held up well, but I would recommend comparing other companies before choosing Midwest Rug.

You’re going to swing wide coming in and then once in the yard just turn it around. MAKE SURE YOUR TANDEMS ARE SLID ALL THE WAY FORWARD! The guys here helping unload are awesome and very helpful.
