NAMI Hope Center: what do users think?
M S (Advocate): I visited in the Summer of 2022 I think it was. I had the pleasure of visiting NAMI in the past and recently returned in 2020 after a long hiatus. NAMI, which used to be located on Sunshine and Campbell, had since relocated to the Cox North campus. My first impression of the new location was that it was a tidy and well-maintained spot, but I must admit that the new location caught me by surprise.Upon my most recent visit last summer, I discovered that NAMI had moved yet again, this time to the former Victims Center. Unfortunately, the moment I stepped through the front door, I was immediately overwhelmed by an unpleasant smell that seemed to be a mixture of raw sewage and a hot moist pile of freshly exhumed rancid human remains. As someone who has hypersensitivity sensory issues, the odor was too much for me to bear.Despite the off-putting odor, I tried to keep an open mind as I approached the front desk. There was a man sitting there who appeared to be an employee, but he seemed preoccupied with something in the lower desk drawer and didn't acknowledge my presence for a full five minutes. It was disconcerting and I found myself struggling to stay focused on the task at hand.As I looked around, I noticed that the decor was minimalistic but tasteful, with muted colors and simple furnishings. However, the overwhelming scent detracted from any positive attributes the space had to offer. In summary, I found the new location of NAMI to be lacking due to the overpowering smell and lack of attentive service. I do hope that they can resolve whatever plumbing issue or other problem caused the odor, as I would like to return in the future and experience the help and resources that NAMI offers.
Bradley Copeland: Great place, with great leadership. They truly care about helping people! I'm very grateful for this program.
Robby “JAMMIN' ROBBY” Baker: I THINK ITS KINDA WEIRD THAT IM ABLE TO TALK TO 2 PEOPLE THEYRE SAYING THAT THERES SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE NETWORK OR SOMETHING CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GET THAT RESOLVED SOON?? ITS FUSTERATING TO NOT REACH ANYONE THERES ALWAYS A MACHINE ON THE WARMLINE!
Marky Mark: PROS: a handful of really great, caring people. Good support group system, especially for temporary needs. Several extremely dedicated staff members and the potential to make many friendsCONS: Nobody here actually has confidently. Personal information gets spread without consequences. They will alienate those who are not southern-baptist, and many run their support groups like a bible study. Several paid staff members are known for not practicing ethical/legal behavior. Stealing is common and there are occasional fights. If you are keen on avoiding shady people during your psychological recovery, this isn’t the place for you.
Alan Chapman: We constantly hear that there isn't enough support for mental illness in this country. This organization does a great job in providing local support and advocacy for those impacted by mental illness in Southwest Missouri. There are a variety of groups for people impacted. They also provide programs for veterans and families. Often time people don't realize it but the first responders really become the family. NAMI SWMO is active in the community organizing 5Ks, Walks, and various other events. One of the most unique events is the Night Run they do. Illuminaries line the trail to commemorate suicide victims which the participants have purchased in the memory of those individuals. They have recently helped place several of their clients who did not have permanent homes in Eden Village. This is a great organization, doing great things!
Bobbi Rowles: Nami is a great place to go to it has helped me 100% I now understand my mental illness
Karl Blair: Good
Rahmiel Zephyr (Rahms): Thieves everywhere. No one cares here. Very shabby, very shady staff.
Liyla Arista: Helps me a lot w ptsd
Adri Prieto: They see people for who they truly are and aspire to be, instead of seeing people for their illness and classifying and discriminating us💜
Ayres Ryder: Best place in town that I know of for support groups.
tammy lawrence: Used to love voluteering here.
Jordan Overstreet: The actual address is 1143 N Robberson, Springfield, MO 65802

Lost & Found Grief Center: what do users think?
Ryleigh Tucker: This place has changed my life!
L X (LX): I’m sure they help women and children, but if you’re a dad, you just get put on a waiting list, never to be contacted
Paulbo D.: They are the few who do so much, with so little, for so many
Beth DeLange: I lost my father 3 weeks ago to covid; ( Not even 2 and a half years ago my mom passed from cancer) When I called to inquire about a grief group, I was told that I would have to wait a few weeks before joining a group that way I would be comfortable talking about my situation. The gentleman took my name and phone number and said someone would call me back in about a week. Still have not received any calls. Fortunately I was able to find another group that I began attending 2 days after my dad's passing. This is sad, hopefully this is not a regular occurrence here and I am not one to hold grudges or trash businesses or peoples reputation but I do believe people should be informed.
Joy Chilton: My family would not be where they are today without Lost & Found. Groups show you that you are not alone in your darkest time and you gain lifelong friends that understand you. They also show you ways to work through your grief. Lost & Found Grief Center us amazing!!❤
Dustin M: Amazing staff. They are truly amazing, in the face of all that is not.
Misty Chalk: Very helpful
Thompson Charles: For people who have lost A loved one, and are finding it hard to cope with the loss. Has been very helpful for me to know others whohave gone through the process and are better able to continue on. I spent almost 3/4 of my life with my girl,58 years, and I miss her every day.
BigHeadGrief: I went here in 2001 after my wife died. It was the difference for me and my kids. I loved it so much i am a facilitator there and have been almost since the beginning.
Kristy Cika: I had a private appointment with a counselor. She wanted to talk about her own experiences instead of listening to mine. I think she should have paid me for the session.
Lanis Shearer: An incredible place to come together with other people who are experiencing the loss of a loved one. You can talk about the emotions you are feeling and the journey you have traveled with your grief. You can share anything within the group and also get feedback from others who are in a similar place as you. The staff is skilled, dedicated to the process of healing, and so very loving, yet still most professional.
April Spaulding: Great caring people
Karen Baxter: Such a needed part of our community. Lots of lives being touched!
