Michael Phillips: This Bank was previously SFC, where I was an extremely happy customer for about 15 years. Eventually it was purchased by Guaranty. There is a stark difference between the two, Guaranty is the corporate bank focused on profits, not customers. I hope someone considering opening an account or seeking a loan might reconsider and save themselves a lesson about doing business with shady banks. I had several accounts with this bank; personal, business and trusts as well as my home mortgage. They stole $6.14, from a trust set up as a free senior checking account, because of disability, not age. The charge was for "Lack of Activity" and "Mailing Statements". I wasn't notified of changes to policy, when I called their attitude was tough luck. They would have taken more but that was all that was in the account. If they'll steal 6 bucks from the disabled, they will steal from anyone given the opportunity.
Bekah Owens: This bank would not break my change because I am not a "customer". It is a poor policy to not exhange cash denominations simply because I do not have an account with this institution.
Garoux: Been using this bank for years, and it's normally fine if you don't have an issue. About a month ago, I had ordered something that a company never sent me. I went into to dispute the charge, and I explained to the clerk my situation. Another clerk/manager started filing paperwork without speaking to me directly. He then comes over with a form and just tells me to sign it. Due to the the fact we hadn't spoke, I repeated my situation to him and asked of he needed me to write down more information and not just my signature. He assured me that it would be fine; if they needed more they'd contact me.Suddenly that debit card is shut down, as I discovered when I tried to use it in public. I called to ask about it, and was told it was due to reported fraud. When I explained the situation, she emphasized that the paperwork *I filled out* said fraud. I corrected her that I signed the paperwork I was given for the situation I explained to two employees. I was told I can lose the credit for the product and try to dispute the file, which misses the point. So now I have to take time off of work to come in to deal with a problem made worse by lack of communication on Guaranty Bank's part. Not to mention the issues it caused with my bills.I don't appreciate being made to feel at fault for a failing on their part, nor being told that my only solution is missing work and losing my time/gas if I want a card before the end of the month. Every time I've had an issue (albeit seldom) with this bank, it goes much the same way.

I've been trying to get ahold of the bank for the last 2 hours and all I get is a busy tone.

Ronald Crites: I've been having issues for months. We applied for a home loan, in 2022. The process, which should have been simple wasn't. Mostly due to the lack of communication from the loan officer. Now, I've been trying to get all my documentation back from them (W2, property tax information, previous years tax documents, etc), since December (loan closed in August). I've contacted the loan officer to no avail, so I contacted the branch manager, but have not received a response. It's a terrible thing to think that in a day and age of identity theft, that my personal information if floating around carelessly.Update: I finally got a return phone call about my personal information. They can't find it! The "believe" it got mixed up with other documents that were sent to a shredding company. Very unprofessional.
Tim Holden: Wade in the lobby is the reason I keep coming back to this branch. If you branch with a sister company of this credit union, then this is the guy you want to talk to. This bank teller is the sort employee that speaks highly of their branch and credit union. Thank you for the hard work.
Ben Routt: So far as being a new member for 4 months this bank is really good. Staff is friendly always feel welcomed. The only small problem I have is there PC online banking sometimes doesn’t work correctly. When I go to log in on my PC version online banking sometimes it crashes with error messages saying you have been disconnected and error shield message. I say the only thing needs to improve is there internet banking on the web browser. They app works great but I like to see my statements on the app as well if that’s possible. But overall a really good Credit Union.
Brandy McDaniel: I applied for a home loan and instead of them calling me to talk about their credit decision they only email or text. And when you try to call after being declined to ask about what you can do to eventually get approved they don’t answer. Very unsatisfied

She's become our "car gal" and anyone we've purchased a car from is also AMAZED at the speed of the transaction (and the incredible rates)! Her communication and follow-up is incredible. Our latest transaction? Car purchased Monday at lunch, paperwork done by dinner, check in dealer's hand by Wednesday (if I was quicker on my signatures it may have to the dealer in 24 hours from start to finish). Oh...this was from Missouri to Ohio too! April is the best and AGCU is the best resource for auto loans on the planet!

Johnpaul Norman: I've had a bank account with AGCU for the last 15+ years, and I'm also with those who've said this used to be a great bank, but not anymore. I'm in the military, and I don't really do much with my AGCU account since I don't live in Springfield anymore. Unfortunately, I was reluctant to close the account because it's linked to other accounts I use regularly. Over the last year they started withdrawing statement and inactivity fees since I don't do any transactions with the account. AGCU stole $18 in "nickel and dime fees" before I realized what was going on. I called them, and they said they notified me, but I told them I never received a phone call or letter. The lady then told me the notification was written on a bank statement right before they started implementing the fees. They had to know no one was going to read the fine print on one measly bank statement. This bank is a "Christian" run organization, but there is NOTHING Christian about them. They are deceptive and steal from their customers. Even though closing the account is a pain, I can't support them in the anymore. I'm currently in the process of cancelling my account, which, "surprise" is very difficult to do since I'm not near their actual branches anymore. I'm a Christian, and it's bad business like this that makes me so angry bc their actions make people think, "this is how Christians must do things." Terrible organization! In addition, their customer service reps have been rude, unhelpful, and very unsympathetic when I've tried to seek help. I wish I could give them zero stars.

sharon deese: We recently got a home loan here. Within 10 days, the loan was sold twice. By the time of our first payment, we were so confused on where to send it. The hours are not conducive for those that need to bank on Saturdays. When my daughter opened an account, she couldn’t use her debit card at an ATM for the first 90 days. After the 90 days, they had to manually allow her to use it and the lady that does it was gone. I called 3 times and on the 95th day, they gave her access. I don’t know of any other bank that operates like this one.
Don Glunt: Bad hours, really bad mobile + desktop app. Technology is very outdated and leads to a cumbersome customer experience.After 10 years of banking with AGCU, I am leaving for another bank because it is becoming too difficult to do simple daily-banking tasks.

The fraud system you have is absolutely ridiculous, I constantly get my card declined at restaurants, haircut, all different places and in the same city I live in. Then when I call customer service they say nothing can be done because their system is down, and apparently has been down for months. I have canceled my account and gone elsewhere. Very disappointing.

Mitchell White: We had a branch in Waxahachie, TX for over 15 years. With short notice the branch was closed with no plan to take care of the members down here in Texas. The local shared branch is planning to stop shared branch transactions soon because they have been overwhelmed with AGCU members using them. We will now have to drive 20 minutes to get to a shared branch if we need to deal with a cash deposit or withdrawal. If a check deposit is over the limit to do in the app we now have to drive 20 minutes to deposit those checks.It is virtually impossible to continue banking with AGCU.

Jamie Obernuefemann: We have done business with BluCurrent for 4 yrs and have had 3 car loans through them. We have been great customers and wanted to do more business with them recently, however the customer service in the loan department has been horrible . We could not get anyone to call us back without constantly having to call them. We were trying to purchase another car and pay off our current car loan. They kept giving us different amounts they would lend us, which was never enough to even buy the car. They acted like they didn't even want to work with us although we have paid one loan off early and have 2 other good standing loans. They also only offered us a 1/3 of the amount of a personal loan we were asking for. We took our business to TelComm Credit Union who having been amazing and welcoming. We have one loan left there and are looking into refinancing it to finish out the loan with TelComm and be done with BluCurrent
Nick Jungen: I had some accidental charges from discover, a total mixup and miscommunication between the 3 parties (myself, BC, and Discover), and they were able to refund those fees and get my money back very quickly. The folks there are all very nice and it is a great bank to use! Totally recommend these guys!

After a week of runaround i had to physically go in to a location, where i was told that there was nothing they could do for me. Fees are fees that’s fine I’ll pay them, but they do not care about giving you answers, just passing you off to the next person to deal with the problem of WHY you are being charged almost $100 in foreign fees. 2 very untrained unprofessional representatives Have ensured i will never bank with this credit union again.

I got card services and asked if she could help me transfer money from one account to another. She was extremely rude and snappy and said I need member services she can’t help me. justin nielsen: I wouldn’t refer this bank to anyone, customer service is just bad. When you need to get ahold of them, plan to wait on hold for 15 minutes. The app also needs work, bill pay is a joke. 4 week wait for debit cards. Fraudulent charges on our account and we won’t see that money refunded for 7-10 days. Just bad experiences over and over.

Matt S: 4 weeks and still no card in the mail and told to wait another week... It's the holiday season and I cannot partake in online sales or expect how much cash to withdraw for shopping. Other banks can make cards in house I shouldn't have to wait this long regardless of complications from your "card provider" I will no longer be banking here this is unacceptable. I will never jump through hoops to access my money and hate the excuses made for my card not being here. Been with them since my first job out of highschool and they ruined their reputation.
Kayla Robertson: I have banked with BluCurrent since 2017. My account is always in good standings and I make many, many purchases and deposits throughout the month. At first, when I received my first set of overdraft fees for a “purchase” that came out of my account I thought it was truly my error. I specifically changed the way I monitored my balances and went to the old fashion method of a check register (even though I don’t use checks). This appeared to have fixed the issue until about a year later and it happened again. Except this time instead of one overdraft fee I had MANY! Double and triple checked myself, sure enough… the app matched exactly what I should have had in my account, the account balance showed my actual balance and my available balance showed my balance after my pending and posted transactions were subtracted from my account balance. Checked myself again, still correct. However, I had overdraft fees applied to transactions that would have cleared just fine. Brought it up to a manager, they gave me a hard time and issued half of the overdraft fees back. Problem solved for another few years… well, here we are again… except this time I HAVE SCREENSHOTS! It’s sad when you have money disappear so much that it becomes a daily habit to take screen shots of your account balance daily. Every time I call in, I get this lecture of monitoring my account and blah, blah, blah. Listen, I do that. Daily. They always use the excuse “the system” or “it automatically,” I understand it’s all technology by come on. I’m seriously to the point of contacting the FDIC and having an investigation launched. The amount of money I have had to give away for “overdraft” fees is ridiculous!! I get it, if I don’t have the money I should pay it but when it’s there and your “system” charged it anyway enough is enough. $200 worth of overdraft fees for $40 worth of purchases that are supposedly not in my account… yeah…. Nope. If you are not willing to monitor your account with a fine tooth comb I suggest not banking with them. I know many other people who bank with them too who this is happening to also.
