Forced placed insurance on us from the start even tho I go we proved we had it .4 years later paying over 600 a month they say my principal has gone up .Loan started at 26k as of today they say we owe 31k after paying over 34k over the past few years . The refuse to set with us an explain n why I hav been charged over 7 grand in late fees yet have 4 years of transactions with dat s and not one of them are late. They won't go back 4 years at my old house insurance company so we looked into a lawyer. 3 loan officers have disappeared working with us Mindy Angie and Stephanie. On November 17th 2018. We had a meeting with Judy hadsall CEO president where she be little us and couldn't not explain either. Then we had to file a police report along with video where this 60+ year old women dove across her desk grabbing my fiancee and tearing papers up in her hand. All on video that's 1kinute 26 second into the video. I have over 26 payments where my entire payment went to interest we are tired off getting screwed .car just got really tagged in March with full coverage. In the state of Missouri have to have full coverage to get a car financed and you have to have full coverage every time you get the car re license the car's been real licensed for 5 years straight my fiance's even got a ticket in the car for not using your blinker never got an insurance ticket cuz we've had it the whole time they refused to refund our money they refused to work with us after spending over $35,000 on a car that was supposed to be $26,000. they changed our terms without telling us without our consignment from 2015 to 2021 to 2015 to 2026 which means I will pay over $90,000 for this car that blued at 19800. multiple people I have talked to have had this been forced placed insurance on them no matter if they showed it or not after the unprofessionalism and nobody would work with us we have decided to have a lawyer subpoena them a letter. And hopefully everything works out okay. Do yourself a favor and go to another credit Union other credit unions like foundation credit Union offer better rates and the people would rather work with you than try to push you out the door .I've never in my life seen such unprofessionalism from a woman who title the CEO president of a company you can look up the police report and public records using my name to see this is not a BS story just trying to save everybody that hassle and possibly ruining their life. For trusting a bank that's crooked. They also falsely reported on my credit and I have a handwritten letter from anette that works at the bank stating a it was her fault not mine and had dilone office manager Terry sign it. blem it dropped my credit score over 70 points and I will not get those points back but everything's been disputed and fixed paper wise but I will never get my points back that they screwed me out of. Please do yourself a favor and go with a more professional Bank

Then they slap an $8006 insurance policy on top of my loan because they say I don’t have insurance.Never had such a run around.

Maria Messenger: I appreciate having an auto loan here but being charged a fee to make a payment when told it would just be run as a debit transaction is very frustrating!! Their "online banking" was not user friendly to make a loan payment from an account at another bank so I had to go in person. I specifically asked if there was a fee to use my debit card and the tell told me no. I later found a $10 fee from my bank for a "non-teller transaction" for each time that I made the payment. ECCU may not have charged me a fee, but they did not run the payment as debit but instead like an ATM withdrawal from a different bank. They should be aware of what fees they are causing by the way they are processing payments to tell the customer about. I would have save myself money by just going to the ATM at my bank first!!

Zachary G: I went to refinance my vehicle and was told by Gloria 1-2 business days for approval or denial on refinance. This credit union made a choice and failed to contact me. I came inside the credit union on day 12. This is not an efficient credit union. I let the credit union know I will go to a private for profit bank and take my money out of the community.

Laurel Browning: The entire staff at Educational Community Credit Union is friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. In particular, I have had most of my dealings with loan officer, Linda Grogan, who has displayed a high level of professionalism and expertise in her field. In addition, their reasonable fees and rates surpass other financial institutions!

Maria Gibson: The staff is always very friendly and personable, so if you’re looking for a positive in person experience, they provide that. The actual banking experience is less desirable. The online banking UI/UX is amateur and often not available. My debit card sometimes doesn’t work with different POS systems.They put a new online banking interface into production on a Friday before the holiday weekend and there was no migration from the previous system. I was also unable to access my information from their ATM and the staff was obviously unavailable. When I went in their next day back in the office, the teller couldn’t help me bc she ‘forgot (her) own password to get into the system’. The tech guy was off and the one person helping people was backed up taking calls and trying to help people in person. So yeah, friendly, but not really the best or most reliable banking option.

Nish: Online banking leaves a lot to be desired. I have an auto loan here, but use USAA for banking. I understand my standards are high because of USAA. However I’ve noticed I’m not able to reset my password. Not being able to reset my password is ridiculous and makes checking my account after impossible at this point in time.

n r: They will steal your money anyway they can. Do not believe the credit limit they give...in what world do you call to access your credit limit? It is a short term loan but they want you to think of it like a credit limit so when you try to use it as such it gets denied and you lose money. Imagine having a $200 credit limit being overdrawn by $39 dollars so that should come out of the $200 credit limit right? Nope...they deny send it back and then charge you a $30 return fee plus all the additional fees you will get from the returned payment you made. Worst yet they won't respond to messages and leave your balance as over drafted hoping you won't notice for 5 days so they can then start charging you an additional $5 a date charge for being over drafted. I am reporting to the The NCUA and if you have issues with this place PLEASE report it to the The NCUA.

Brandon Horn: Highly not recommend had to contact them multiple times over one loan to make a payment. Also they will hit your credit without notice and when they take over the phone payments they will wait close to right before it hits you’r credit before taking payment out watch out for this company. They also take two payments out without notice all the time and I have to cancel and get a refund for the second payment every time through my bank .

It's fine if you don't choose to approve a loan for a current customer but at least be professional enough to contact them as promised either way. Not the first time either to be blown off by your customer service or lack thereof. Due to this I would not recommend your credit union to anyone.

Fred B: Great credit union. Not liking the use of fica scores for loans and the fact that you are not told if they use fica or vantagescore before they run your credit. They will get 5 stars the moment they do the switch.

I had a unique situation and needed the money that day or the vehicle was going to be gone and Jayson at Volt went above and beyond and got it done for me that day. I called a bunch of times asking questions and he always had the answers and never sounded annoyed even though I was in a very big rush and was probably being a nuisance. I showed up at the end of the day and ended up being there until after close and he was extremely nice and helpful all the way through. I have had 2 other loans through them before this one and each of those was easy as well. I have nothing but good things to say about every experience I've had at Volt.

Grace Daugherty: DO NOT GO HERE. I had called Volt to ask about a transaction on my account I didn’t 100% recognize. The rep Diane said she would block my card and I was fine with that. But when I did some digging and found out I knew what the charge was, she then refused to unblock my card on a Saturday at 11:45am and since banks close at 12:00 and my card was blocked so I couldn’t go to an ATM. I told her I needed gas and money to cover some things for the weekend. She said that it wasn’t her problem and that Volt reserves the right to block any card necessary. Even when I told her I knew the charge she refused. I was left no choice but to drop what I was doing leave a class I was taking and run to the bank to withdraw money. At this point I was exhausted and felt very uncomfortable leaving my card in their hands. Not only could I not access my money but I had no control of my money. This is not a safe bank and they WILL do whatever they see fit with your money.

marissa weaver: My husband and I consolidated some debt into a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) awhile back and were so happy with our experience we have since moved our savings and checking accounts too! There are very few fees and they are MUCH lower than the big bank we were with before. The High Voltage checking account earns 2.5% interest which is awesome. The team is knowledgeable and friendly. I also love that Volt is part of the credit union CO-OP and a Shared Banking participant, so we have access to over 22,000 ATM’s nationwide for free and over 5,000 branches we can go into just like it was Volt. Finally, we love supporting not only a local business, but one that does so much for the community.

The tellers and loan officer was nice, but to get my loan the under writer wanted me to pay off my car loan with my credit card. I have a really good credit rating. Once my finances are paid off I will never use this credit union again.

Thomas Faulkner: Debits card never last long enough, I'm having to replace long before exp date due to mag strip peeling and chip issues. Over draft fees are some of the highest I've ever seen. There's very little perks with volt cu, planning on moving elsewhere.
