Pure Hot Yoga St. Louis: what do users think?
Sherna Nichols (She'): Good for the mind, body and soul
mary works: I have always loved this place - hot, organized, clean, wonderful instructors and staff. I try to take class whenever I visit a new town and other studios rarely live up to Pure Hot Yoga. It's the gold standard. It's under new ownership now and it's STILL the best. How awesome is that?!
Casey Selby: I move a lot and have probably been to 50+ studios. I have had the BEST experience at pure hot yoga stl. They remembered my name after my 1st class! Very welcoming and the energy is great.
Joao Hernández: First time trying hot yoga!! Instructors are nice and comprehensive and you can go at your own pace! Amazing people and amazing place!!!
Hyun Soo Suh: I came back to hot yoga after some years of break, and it was my best decision this year! The instructors are great, encouraging and friendly, and I love the classes.
Hilda Hildebrand: Love this studio, the energy and the people.5 star rating for sure!
Alexandra Hildreth: Friendly and consistent - if you are new to hot yoga, this is the classroom environment for you! Erin is very welcoming and approachable - what a great team!
Beth Huebner: I love PHY! I have been taking yoga classes here for almost 15 years. Although the heat can be intimidating at first, the instructors are so kind. As someone with arthritis, the heat helps me move better (particularly in the winter). The community is welcoming, and I love the addition of new classes like flow. There is something for everyone.
Lisa Roth: Pure Hot Yoga is the best yoga studio. They also have inferno Pilates which I love. The yoga and Pilates are very challenging but they keep me feeling awesome. It’s the best for physical, mental, and emotional health. The teachers are amazing and so helpful and encouraging. I feel I’m part of a welcoming community. Having zoom and on demand archived classes means I can practice at home which kept me sane and healthy during the pandemic. The studio practices safely with cleanliness.
Jackie Braznell: YOUR BACK & JOINTS WILL LOVE YOU! THIS PLACE WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!PHY STL is so welcoming that once you walk through the door you will be so happy you did! The studio is made up of people from all ages, shapes and experience levels. Each instructor brings their own personal style and knowledge to class so you feel like you are always learning something new to grow in your practice. The studio offers a variety of classes daily to focus on your yoga practice or get you out of your comfort zone with a high energy warm pilates class!
Ted Smith: Can't say enough good things about this place. The instructors and staff are all wonderful, and everyone is friendly including the students. Studio and bathrooms are always thoroughly clean. The intensity of these classes will challenge you for sure, and it's so worth it!
Rebecca Melander: WHAT A GREAT FEELING! I came to class in a frazzled huff. My mind wasn't ready. My body didn't feel ready. But when I entered the hot room, that outer layer of doubt melted away. Hilary led us through the series and I found my body cooperating and then leveling up to my mood, which was improving with each droplet of sweat, each millimeter of flexibility. I've been a member for over 12 years and still, each class I take offers me something new. This yoga is one of the most satisfying experiences for me and I would say to anyone who might be on the fence about coming to class: COME TO CLASS! You will feel better than you imagined once it's done and you'll come back for more. Thank you PHYSTL!
Stephane Rebeck: OMG this place. Even when it's hard, it's awesome. Such an amazing community. Great vibe, really supportive, and the instructors are so knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and fun. Anytime I leave town, this--yes THIS--is what I miss most. Once you start, you'll never want to skip a day.
Lindsey Moore: I have come back to this studio during many different season and I always feel welcomed, supported, and energized during my experiences. I appreciate the ways they support me to take care of my physical health, while remembering how important my mental and emotional health is as well. It truly is a place for me to sweat out life stresses, practice de-escalating my nervous system, and come back to the center of myself. thank you to all the team members at Pure Hot Yoga!
dog training: It's a great practice just wish this wasn't the only studio. They run it like, they know it is the only bikram place closest to the city. The guy instructors are cool and most of the other instructors. One bad apple particularly is the woman with the sides shaved off of her head. I come to decompress and she went spastic in class over me leaving my spot to get tissue. She was in the back of the class and I was less than 10ft from the tissue. She's crazy about you wearing a watch too! Other instances but, not to bad. Shaved head is the most condescending passive aggressive so unnecessary. I definitely made that incident my last. I was jacked for the rest of the month. I lost money because it's a "no instructor might be wrong policy". I understand the rules because, I went on south grand to bikram for years with no incidents. I miss them! For $100 plus a month and a bad relation. I'd rather be fat and stiff and invest my money elsewhere until another bikram open in the city limits.
Haley Henderson-Pennington: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis studio has entirely changed my life and mindset in the last 9 months of practice. I never thought I would be able to withstand the heat, but it has helped me work through so many injuries. I also really appreciate their text services with reminders about classes you have signed up for! It helps keep me accountable to my practice.
Brooke Inman: Absolutely love Pure Hot Yoga STL! Every single one of the instructors is knowledgeable, welcoming, challenging (in the best way) and professional. They each add their own personality to the classes and I love them all. They all learn your name from the very start and that just adds to the warm and welcome feel of the studio. This place has quickly become a favorite spot of mine. Also an important mention is that it is very clean. Thanks Erin and Carol for creating such a high quality hot yoga studio/environment.
Rebecca Bickel: Positive:QualityI adore this studio and all of the people there! Everyone is so kind and makes you feel comfortable no matter your experience level. I was a total novice when I started, but I never felt bad about that- instead I felt encouraged and celebrated!
Ashley Lumpkin: I’ve been attending classes for the past few weeks and it’s been my favorite yoga studio. I’ve attended other hot yoga studios, and have found the classes distracting with music and frills. Pure Hot sticks to the more traditional bikram method which I like!As a contrast to the more still and regimented yoga class, they also have the IHP Pilates class which has music and is a lot of fun. It includes high intensity interval training and is an amazing a full body workout. I love attending both classes.
Spenser R: I had been looking for somewhere to get back to practice and this place has welcomed me with open arms! I love coming in each day and all the instructors are knowledgeable and helpful with everything that I have asked them about practicing yoga and Pilates. I’ll be a member for a long time to come!
Pete Willenborg: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI love Pure Hot Yoga! It truly has changed my life. The staff has been absolutely amazing during this trying time. For the last 11 months, I’ve attended several classes and I’ve never seen an employee or member not follow safe protocols. It has been a safe haven for stresses of everyday life.

Blue Sky Yoga St. Louis: what do users think?
Emma Korlin: Such an amazing relaxing experience. Amanda is a great teacher!
Shelley Kohlman: Relaxed and welcoming space! Not intimidating to new yogis. Great variety of classes and events.
Beth Jones: I love beyond the basics with Rose! I always feel a greater connection to myself where my body and spirit connect with determination and strength. I'm grateful to make it to my mat and perhaps more so that I'm able to make it off the mat afterwards!
Claire Meyer: Such a FANTASTIC studio! I got the $45 new student monthly rate while home over Christmas. The studio is incredibly inclusive and I continually found great classes there with many different instructors. Could not recommend more highly!
Sherry Browning: I've been taking classes for over a year--studio well run, space comfortable, staff welcoming, instruction excellent.
The Hubbards: My sons and I thought we would try something new and decided to explore Yoga as a way to restore our bodies as well as reduce stress and anxiety. I reached out via email to ask some questions and Annie was very responsive and helpful! We ended up going to Gali's session on Monday and it was one of the best experiences my sons and I have shared! Gali was an awesome teacher; she was patient, receptive and welcoming! We will be back for sure!
Dana champion: I google yoga studio near me and this studio came up. I always check reviews first on almost everything/where I go. Great reviews and I have to say I agree. Everyone was friendly and the teacher was sweet. I have not done yoga in a while and I was a little nerves but I did well and love the class. I will return when I am in town.
brian hughes: Roxannes class was amazing
Xochitl Castel: I came in for the first time to attend the Deep Release: Gentle Yoga & Gong class. Ann Mae (I think was the instructor's name... sorry!) was an amazing instructor! I loved the sound tools she used. The level of relaxation was like I've never experienced before, it was deep. They provided all the tools, shoes are left by the door, lockers available, door is locked during class which added a sense of peace. Great space, great energy, good parking. Highly recommend!
Christina Pisani: Very friendly and loving. First class was amazing!!
Amanda Langhorst: I just finished a morning yoga class with Roxanne and it was everything I had been missing in my practice. She offered so much time for choice which felt amazing and helped me to feel accepted within the group. I highly recommend coming to her class. Your body will thank you!
Julie Herbert: I love Blue Sky Yoga. The studio is pleasant and comfortable. Parking is convenient . More importantly, Bryna, does a great job of challenging while also giving options to accommodate individual needs.
Debbie Coghlan: Blue Sky Yoga is my favorite yoga studio. Love all the instructors and variety of classes!
Mary Lou Walsh: I have been attending Blue Sky Yoga for several years. I love my virtual chair yoga classes with Bryna every Monday. She is the best! Annie has always been supportive of my membership in her studio. She really cares about my practice. Due to distance the virtual offering allows me to continue my yoga weekly. This is a real blessing! Namaste!
Brittney Shawnee': Maury and Casey are wonderful instructors! Good vibes all around and good body knowledge.
Nancy Murphy: I love this yoga studio! The physical space is warm and inviting. Additionally, they offer a great variety of classes. All of the classes are appropriate for all levels, offering many options. The teachers and fellow yogis are very welcoming and supportive!
david payne: Edit: The owner reached out to me over the phone, and I am very glad they did. We had a great conversation about the misunderstanding, and I feel like they listened to me. This is what I wanted: to be heard. We got to connect a bit, and it's due to this personal touch that I am glad to continue taking classes here. They even recommended other classes they offer that can potentially help with muscular issues I described. So, I am changing my rating to reflect the whole experience. Thank you.----original----I came to this studio because I was referred by a friend. The class is challenging, akin to physical therapy, which is what I want. The reason I am giving only three stars is due to how the owner chooses to schedule new student memberships. So, new students, be aware or you will lose days of your first month.New student memberships begin immediately once purchased, not upon scheduling the first class. This was neither explained nor made clear on the website. I scheduled my first class for March 1st, expecting the month to begin then. I discovered today on the 29th this is not the case, and the owner has assigned a reconciliation to my account. This is a policy focused solely on collecting dollars, not building a student base. That is not the type of business I wish to support, and I am reconsidering whether I will renew my membership. I invite the owner to respond to my comments, and if this is indeed how they run their business I will take my dollars elsewhere.
Olivia Kosta: Finally!! As a person with anxiety and a racing mind, I simply started thinking yoga was not for me. I've tried it over the years here and there, in different cities, and locally but still couldn't relate to the amazing benefits I'd been hearing about for years. All that has changed. After going regularly to Blue Sky (about 4 days a week for two months) something just clicked. I trimmed down, toned up, started seeing definition in my muscles, and my ènergy increased. The best bonus part is that I'm able to relax, and calm my mind! Being fully present during practice, and carrying that over throughout the day is such a blessing. Blue Sky is à warm inviting place, with amazing instructors and a great mixture of classes and times throughout the week. I enjoy the individual styles that each instructor brings, and feel lifted when I leave. Shout out to Annie and Casey who are just two of the amazing instructors. So....THANK YOU Blue Sky Yoga!!! 💙 This has been and will continue to be an amazing journey/ experience. I'm hooked and great full!! 🙂🤗🌞🙏
Brittany Smith: One of my favorite studios! The space is roomy and cozy. Each class I take has a unique spin and skilled teacher! This is my go to yoga studio hands down
Casey: Amazing community studio! 💙
La Familia Sin Fronteras: Beautiful atmosphere.

Brick City Yoga: what do users think?
Abby Gilliam: I love all the classes at Brick City! Ashley is my favorite teacher, she’s great and always so helpful and calming in class :)
Andrea Armstrong: Just finished my first ever yoga class and greatly enjoyed it. Definitely will be back!
Bri'Anna Tolliver: I’ve only been to one class but I saw two other classes and this place isn’t diverse at all which is odd considering the area it’s in. I didn’t feel comfortable or very welcomed/wanted. Don’t recommend for women of color if you’re looking for community. Besides that, the place is beautiful, organized and I love yoga now. I did want to leave this review in hopes someone there would see it and maybe make it a more welcoming place for black women if that’s something this place wants or cares about
Patti Langenecker: I have really enjoyed each class I've taken at the studio so far. A wonderful yoga community, so glad it's in the neighborhood.
Steven Simonis: Ashleys Friday yoga hour was fantastic!! She is very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely will recommend
Megan Clontz: Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, especially to those who are new to yoga.
Rome Harkin: Super enthusiastic and friendly, easy beginner classes, smells good and has cool amenities
Shani Knight: I love the Saturday basics class. The instructors are all friendly, and there are a great variety of classes offered. I totally recommend this yoga studio.
Molly Ellisor: Brick City Yoga is such an asset. This is an inclusive, welcoming space. Classes are affordable (comparatively) and the studio frequently offers deals that make them even more affordable. This is a great place to slow down, stretch out, get grounded, and feel more connected with your community. The studio is spacious and comfortable. There is also a cute little shop up front that stocks some yoga accessories and attire.
William Hampel: Nothing short of 5 stars. Instructors, atmosphere, all fantastic. Go take a yoga class here.
D. Chihade: First time here and took the Vinyasa Flow with Grace. The studio is quaint and clean. Grace’s instruction was cohesive. I appreciate she was student focused and provided just the right balance between challenging yourself and taking alternate positions. I will definitely be back again.
Kayleigh Leahy: Such a great space and really good prices for the quality of the classes!! All of the instructors are fantastic
Bethanie Reid: Brick City Yoga is one of my favorite places in Saint Louis. I started going to classes here a year ago and I am so grateful for the benefits it’s had for me personally. I feel stronger physically and emotionally. I’ve found a sense of community that I didn’t have before. I love that they are involved in making the world a better place. Classes are fairly priced and the studio has equipment to help make yoga practice accessible. The teachers are all wonderful and the variety of classes make it easy to find what you need, whether it’s a more intense flow or something more chill. I am so grateful we have a space like this in STL.
ellen weaver: BCY is my place of peace. Whether I need something gentle, something fiery, or a practice with laughs, BCY always has just what I need. It’s a great community.
Natashia Hines: I had such a great experience at Brick City Yoga! I was in town for the weekend and searching for a drop-in class. I was choosing between BCY and another studio, and I chose correctly! Very welcoming and inclusive environment and the entire space is peaceful and clean. Our instructor Hannah was very friendly and her class was excellent. This will be my spot whenever I visit STL again.
mikael hardy: Fabulous community and outstanding yoga
Steven Constantin: Great space, great teachers and community focused
Stephen Cox: I have had so many great experiences at Brick City Yoga, it’s unfortunate that it has taken me so long to write this review. The studio is clean and welcoming, the instructors are true pros who care deeply about their practice, and the schedule offers a variety of styles of yoga to appeal to beginners and seasoned veterans alike. Benton Park is lucky to have such a great studio. And a particularly warm shout out to Katie, who teaches Yoga+Barre and a deep stretch class. Katie’s great.
Izzy Litwack: Had an amazing first class at Brick City! Really impressed by the great instruction and the space, plus it’s always $10 a class! Can’t beat that.
Jeffry Fisher: Great place. Even ore yogis, all are great. No more masks required. Great selection of classes
Jennifer Vierrether: I love the location and vibe of Brick City Yoga. The studio is charming and so welcoming and warm. Ladder Flow is my favorite class. The flows are beautiful and thoughtfully constructed so that you see and feel the progression. While it is physically challenging, modifications are offered and Lauren continually encourages you to commit to yourself. There’s a wonderful feel of community within the class as we all lean into the challenge and flow. I feel centered and stronger at the end of each class. It’s a beautiful release and accomplishment.

YogaSix: what do users think?
Giancarlo Andreoli: Posto fantastico. La lezione di Hot Yoga è stata veramente bella, il posto è pulitissimo e il personale veramente gentile.TOP!!
Nick Thompson: Received an offer to do 4 classes for $53.00. I unfortunately didn’t read the fine print and it was a subscription. I was charged $212.00 dollars on top of the $53 I paid initially by the time I noticed. They made it quite difficult to cancel. Unable to cancel online on your account, and can’t be done by calling the location. The studios number is the only one available and someone is not there always during business hours so it took a while for me to get someone. I didn’t find out until I got someone at the location I needed to email someone named Oliva Davis. My experience with Olivia was not a good one. Come to find there’s an 30 day cancellation “notice” that must be given, so they don’t even close your account immediately when you finally find the right person. I went to 1 class the first month, that I didn’t like and never went back, but there was no consideration for a refund of the 2 additional payments of $106.00 a piece for services I obviously didn’t use as I didn’t know I paid for them and didn’t even want use the 3 remaining classes of my 4 I paid $53 for. I actually called the day the of the second charge before I would have even had a chance to use the services for that month and Olivia still wouldn’t even refund that $106.00 payment. Had to dispute with my card company. I kept getting payment due notifications until I called the studio again and got a general manager’s number, who showed a little bit of decency and understanding, given I went to 1 class and was charged nearly $300.00 and helped bring my account to $0 owed. Please be informed this business makes for a tough breakup.
Michelle De Villar: Live it and love it
Kiara Lewis: YogaSix is awesome! They have a unique way of making everyone feel empowered. Really enjoyed my class today.
Kaitlyn Sprague: St. Louis is not Manhattan.. there is absolutely no reason why so many yoga students are packed into a tiny room. The designated mat spaces are literally six inches apart from each other. As soon as I realized I would not be able to freely move and twist my body, I wanted to run for the exit, but couldn’t without stepping on other people. Nothing “restorative” about it.Other things I guess I’ve been taking for granted at other studios that YogaSix lacks:-any kind of welcome to your first class or rundown by the front desk or instructor-pose demonstrations, corrections, or modifications (instructor just sat down and called out poses)-a cell phone free zoneThis must just be for people that don’t live in St. Louis and don’t know that there are way better local options for a fraction of the price.
Derek Thomas: Their best instructors are superb, and I would’ve stayed if they taught more frequently, but it’s the other instructors that ruined my experience. One instructor sat down with her back on the wall the entire class, giving disjointed instructions while drinking Starbucks. Another could not do 80% of the movements she called out and the pace suffered as a result.
H A: I tried the hot yoga for the first time at this place. Yoga instructor seemed nice. It felt great afterwards. It was hard at first to concentrate due to the fast tempo music. Honestly, the music played that day doesn’t go well with the yoga. Prefer slower music to help with focusing, being more mindful and actually hearing the instructor.
Elise Skulte: Yoga 6 is amazing! All the structors are super nice and you can really get a lot out of the hot yoga classes even if you put in minimal effort because the rooms are hot! 🔥
lilly Simon: Critical:Communication,Professionalism
Genny B: So called instructor Danielle SITS for the entire class, speaks out ' posses' and is looking at her cell phone and not the students. ..she does not give corrections, and does not and cannot even demonstrate postures. Why not just put a recording at the front of the studio? Students are at risk for injury in her class. .. a LETHARGICOBESE instructor is NOT a good roll model. HOW can a supposidrly reputable studio charge for and allow this instructor to teach for them? Management only wants your money.
Lynne Hart: Great class friendly people. It was my first time back in a long time oh, I've got a long way to go.
Aaron shavers: Priceless
Jamie Byergo: Love this yoga studio, especially the hot classes!
Mark Schoon: Great place! I have been coming here for three years and find that it is both a good place for beginners of all ages, and at the same time changeling to people who have been practicing yoga for years. The people at the front desk make an effort to get to know you, and the teachers are great about giving extra guidance.
Teresa Catlow: Positive:QualityLove the heated classes! Wonderful teachers and atmosphere!
Stephanie Burkemper: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Andrea Schmid: I’m not totally new to yoga but hadn’t been to a class in well over a year due to the pandemic and living abroad. This studio made me feel comfortable and supported as I transitioned into classes again post lock down. They offer a variety of class styles and once you find a rhythm, the classes stay consistent in terms of level. This consistency means I never have to worry about trying a new class or feeling inadequate since I know what to expect. The instructors and other class goers are open, focused and caring. I never worry about if I’m good enough and anyone near by can help answer questions for me. The spaces are super clean and the team is respectful of any last minute changes due to concerns about the pandemic or emergencies for cancellations. I love my new yoga home!
Alex L: This studio is awesome! Great class variety, awesome space & amazing instructors!! I switched from another studio that I practiced at for 6 years & this was the change my practice needed!
felicia r: I love the studio spaces, love the variety of classes Yoga 6 offers and the teachers are friendly and knowledgeable.
c s: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityYogaSix St. Louis is my home studio. The teachers are unique and excellent, the studio is clean, the rooms get hot, and the community is good. The monthly challenges help get you out of your routine. Hopefully they start offering hot remixes with music and sound baths soon! I typically have to drive to Des Peres for those.
Brennan Kolbo: Positive:Professionalism,QualityThe instructors are all very welcoming and know how to challenge their students in just the right ways!

Yoga In DeMun: what do users think?
Meagan Ranbarger: I really enjoyed Christy’s class and the entire experience at Yoga in DeMun. It is a welcoming and authentic studio to practice and relax. Can’t wait to try another class!
Shawna Brinson: Yoga in Demun is unique among the yoga/meditation classes that I've experienced in St. Louis. Christy strives to help each student to understand and apply fundamentals, including proper form, necessary strength, and internal patience with one's limitations. I appreciate building toward poses and making progress over time, rather than rapidly cycling through movements. I also appreciate that the setting is always clean and calming, and there is a diverse and kind community of fellow students. All of these things have kept me coming back to classes as a priority on my schedule. Big fan!
Correy Smotherson: Easily the best yoga studio in town. The instructor truly believes in her practice and treats all of her students with kidness. I was slightly nervous about my first visit but, the moment I got there all that went away. Her studio is very warm and inviting, and with the small class sizes you get a personalized feel which is very nice. If you are a beginner and want to get started, the instructor is very knowledgable and can guide you so that you get the maximum benefit out of the practice. If you are more advanced, she has classes that can challenge you and take you to the next level. On top of that, she offers meditation and active release therapy classes to assist with recovery. What makes this instructor stand out from others, is that she genuinely cares about her students and wants you to live a good and healthy life. Which you'll feel instantly from her upon your first visit.
Ilango G: Many years ago, I was a student of Christy, the moving spirit and spiritual teacher of Yoga in Demun. It was a great experience. I highly recommend Christy for anyone wishing to change their life for the better. I was at a very bad stage in my life when I approached Christy to help me deal with certain challenges in my life like ADHD. She very graciously offered to help me with her yoga classes. So, Istarted practicing Yoga with Christy and her fellow teachers. I wasn't a good student, I was late for classes, I did not heed Christy's requests to attend at least once a week. But whenever I attended, I always had a good experience. It truly changed my life. Today, I run a growing Driving School business. Christy's Yoga teaching did help me find some meaning in life. Although my personal life is so-so, I now help a lot of people. Between ,2019 and now, I was able to get a good name with the St Louis community as a good driving instructor and teacher.Christy of YogaIndemun and her fellow Yoga teachers will welcome you and help you help ourselves.
Zihan Qin: I've been practicing yoga with Christy since 2019 and all the way through the pandemic on Zoom too. I'm very excited that things are slowly back to normal and we can have in person yoga classes now. Christy created a very intimate yet safe environment for everybody to do yoga and mediatation or whatever you want to do. She guides you to know how your body works and how to connect body and mind. She KNOWS every student and you will always feel welcome in her studio.
william kiburz: I was struggling a few years ago mentally, physically & spiritually & was lucky to find Christy Lin & Yoga in Demun. I have been doing one-on-one sessions with her since that have helped me find peace & cultivate empathy + love, for myself& the world around me. It's changed my life & our journey is only just beginning !!! Thank You Christy Lin !!!!
J G: Christy is a fantastic meditation guide and a delightful person. She's provided many insights and helped me find meaningful perspective through introspective meditative practices, both through the act of deep meditation and living daily with a meditative mindset. Finding balance in my life has renewed a sense of positivity, calm, and openness within a grounded mindset. While meeting online is my preference, Christy just returned to US in May 2022 and is again teaching from her Demun studio--if you have an interest in either yoga or meditation, don't miss out!
Robyn Dexter: I’ve been going to Yoga in DeMun for many years and always have a wonderful, relaxing experience. Christy creates such a peaceful environment and offers opportunities for her students to go at their own pace. It’s a great place to get in a good headspace and leave your worries at the door :)
Todd Wibbenmeyer: I have worked with Christy for a few years . I love working with her because she is there because she wants you to feel better mentally and physically. I can’t wait to keep going and to keep getting better and more confident.
Denise Douglas: Christy is an amazing instructor, and very welcoming! Rates are very reasonable and she incorporates background of yoga and meditation into the classes.
Emily Wasserman: Yoga in DeMun is the place to go for yoga in St. Louis. Christy and Patricia are warm, knowledgeable, and friendly. They will make you feel right at home. I started at the studio a year ago as a way to get back into yoga. Christy helped me progress using meditation, stretching, and strength exercises. She never pushes me beyond my limit. She encourages all her students to do their best, but not to do anything that makes them uncomfortable or hurt. The studio is cozy, and candles, relaxing music, and essential oils add to the laid-back ambiance. I usually come for night classes and by the time I'm done, I'm relaxed and ready to go to sleep. Come take a class, then come back and take more. You won't regret it!
Laura McClellan: I love love love this studio!! Christy is an amazing and intuitive teacher. The studio is beautiful and fresh with graceful and sweet touches everywhere! Whenever I visit St. Louis this is where I go for my yoga. I highly recommend!
Ann Schwein: Wonderful studio and owner! Space offers special events on monthly basis where a certified life and meditative coach, Mark Biel, comes and provides guided meditation using singing bowls and other various instruments. You have to experience it to believe it! They literally saved my life!!!
Miranda Whitener: I’ve been going to this studio a little under a month, and I absolutely love it. Christy has such a beautiful spirit, even hugged me on the second class I took! She’s very kind, gentle and patient. She really goes back to the basics of every yoga pose and teaches how to correctly improve and help hold said poses. I never feel lost in this class! It feels less like an intense work out and more like rejuvenating of the body and mind. Patricia’s classes are amazing for getting relaxing real deep stretch. I look forward to her calming Thursday morning classes. If you’re feeling in a slump and just want to feel good again, go here. It’s like no studio I’ve been to before!
Shannon Mary: I tried out 7 yoga studios before finding Christy's classes at Yoga in Demun. I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE AGAIN! Christy is brilliant, warm, encouraging, and makes everyone feel at home. It is a safe place for all. Every time I show up to her class, I leave feeling peaceful and empowered. She even provides all of the yoga mats and props we need for class. ...Just bring yourself!
Daniel Axelbaum: Christy is amazing and brings such a positive and unique energy to her studio. I always look forward to her class and she has really encouraged me to do what feels right for me physically and spiritually.
Jacob Park: Went to yoga & meditation class on a Sunday. The class was so relaxing, and Christy guided us throughout the whole process - helping us with the breathing, what type of thoughts to hold during it, etc.I had a chat with her after the class regarding my personal meditation experience and asked for advice moving forward. She related with me and gave me some of her personal stories in how she started, and gave me lots of great advice moving forward. I really recommend this place to anyone who's just started to get interested in yoga/meditation and also for more experienced ones looking to keep building on your skills!
Lauren Alspach: I have the fortunate experience of walking one block and arriving at Yoga in DeMun, but I would certainly make the trip if that wasn't the case. (In fact, since writing this I've lived abroad and now live in another STL neighborhood but I always find myself back at this home away from home). Yoga in DeMun is designed with such intention. Everything is beautifully thought out from the colors to the lighting to the smells to the sounds to the props. While loving attention is given to the physical space, you also feel an overwhelming sense of welcome, warmth, home and community. It is this feeling that takes your practice beyond the physical, beyond the mat, and into your life. Yoga in DeMun has helped me to find balance and calm, to feel physically strong and emotionally well.
Sherri DeRousse: Wonderful evening. Peaceful, educational, beautiful experience. The soundscape was fabulous.
Lauren Danuser: Great, calming place for yoga. Some classes are more non-traditional with meditation and they also have vinyasa flow. The teachers are very warm and lovely and the space is so relaxing. Grab a coffee at Seedz or Kaldi’s after class and go sit in the park. Lovely neighborhood gem.
Judy Levine: What a great find! This studio is a gem for when I need to keep up with my practice while traveling to St Louis. Christy the owner is very interested in you and making the practice about you! It’s not only the physical yoga body that gets worked on it’s also your mind and your surrounding space. Come join in on a very welcoming yoga community and come as you are, all levels. Being a certified yoga instructor myself I got to meet and enjoyed talking and bouncing ideas around with Christy. Will be back every few months!

Joy Of Yoga: what do users think?
Marissa Word: I’m new to this studio and have felt very welcome. Joy of Yoga offers a variety of classes that have helped me on my journey to self discovery and healing. Previously I was only taking hot yoga classes and classes for exercise but the classes offered here are helping me practice mindfulness as I learn to listen to my body. The restorative type classes have helped me manage my stress levels as a busy working mother.
Lisa Schneider: Joy of Yoga is my sanctuary from the outside world, and truly my "third place." There is nowhere else that I can walk in the door and almost immediately begin to feel grounded, with my mind and body settling, remembering who I am and all that really matters.
Brittney Carr: The owner Joy is absolutely lovely and so wise, I always learn something new from her in her classes, and also in our brief conversations. I have also enjoyed a Cocoa ceremony, a sage workshop, and breathwork workshop with Ashley Moret that was FANTASTIC. Joy has a great variety of classes and events, always something interesting going on!
Angela Chostner: This yoga studio has a excellent variety of classes to choose from, welcoming to all levels of yoga practitioners from beginners to more advanced. The community of people you will meet here will make it feel like home.
Jennifer Boyer: Wonderful yoga studio! It’s a relaxed, welcoming space for all skill levels that supports the whole person health journey.
Sandi Fischer: Joy of Yoga has something for everyone.Very welcoming
Teresa Brown: Love ❤️ Joy of Yoga and all the teachers! Very warm and welcoming place with great atmosphere. You can tell that Joy (owner) puts a lot of effort into every aspect of the practice/sessions and the studio overall. I had not felt comfortable going to yoga studios in the past and was hesitant, but she put me at ease and I never felt intimidated again!
Margaret Lubus: It was my first time and Emily was wonderful. She is engaging and full of spirit. Yoga is new to me and I really like her instruction approach to be able to follow.
Elizabeth Button: I was drawn to this studio because of the very reasonable new student special- 29$ for 2 weeks of any classes you want to try. I was slightly nervous as this is a new studio for me but everyone there was so kind, supportive, and welcoming. I took a Yoga Nidra class and it was so wonderfully relaxing. Alicia was the teacher and was so welcoming and made sure that everyone was comfortable in their practice offering a plethora of supports, modifications and reassurance to practice in a way that feels right for the individual. The website is very easy to access and the owner is so responsive to feedback and questions about the studio or classes. I cannot emphasis enough this was the best experience I could have EVER hoped for.
Kelly Sim: MBSR with Jeanne Kloeckner has already changed my life and we are only 5 weeks in! I cannot recommend it enough. I had a vague understanding of Mindfulness prior to the class and now I am using both formal and informal practices on a daily basis. These practices do more than relieve stress in my life--they have positively impacted my relationships, my capacity for empathy and understanding, and my relationship with myself, to name a few. Jeanne is absolutely wonderful and a source of patience, love, and kindness. This class can change your life.
Amanda Irwin: Joy of Yoga is a wonderful place and everyone is so inviting. The classes offered are so diverse and have been so helpful to me in my journey. I wish Joy and her team nothing but continued success and growth as they truly deserve it. ❤️
s gordon: A welcoming studio with fair pricing and excellent instructors. And a smorgasboard of options for every penchant.
Peace Vibes: Such a safe and sacred space, beautiful community! I highly recommend this place! Joy, the owner, is such a kindhearted and wonderful person! I enjoy the yoga classes, with a variety of different teachers, all knowledgeable and caring. I also recommend for any Reiki Healers! I received my reiki attunement with Joy, and it was the most transformative experience! I also love Charity! Everyone here is so welcoming, it truly is such a magical place, I love it.
Kristen Kruse: Wonderful studio with absolutely amazing teachers. I always leave feeling so peaceful. Check em out!
Lisa Kientzel: Love this yoga studio; the teachers, the space and the variety of classes offered!
Alyssa Scanlon: Joy of Yoga is a dream! So many offerings. So many opportunities to explore the beauty of life. I really enjoy restorative yoga and Joy of Yoga is the only studio I can find that offers consistent restorative classes. Alicia and Rachel’s classes are great. I also love the varied offerings. Always something new. Always something that is right in time for what I’m needing in life. Oh and did I mention the studio is so beautiful! Grateful to be a part of this community and that this space exists in STL. 3
carlagraphs photography: Finally found a place that does yoga the way I like - with intention, thought, and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you!
Ken: This is an excellent Yoga Studio. Top Notch. The Instructors are well trained, great teachers, and the facility is clean, inviting, with lots of natural light. I particularly enjoy Yoga Basics with Matt on Sundays.
Chris Roemer: From the first time I walked into Joy of Yoga I knew it would be my Yoga Studio. During the pandemic the staff has done whatever possible to keep the studio running. I’ve taken many classes and workshops there. The staff is wonderful and the classes are always evolving to satisfy the needs of the community.
Fara Heumann: I am so grateful to have found Joy of Yoga. It is such a wonderful place. It’s a safe space for you to be yourself and learn and grow. All the staff are amazing. Couldn’t recommend more
Noel Flynn: Joy of Yoga offers many classes with a variety of teachers so there is something for everyone!

Jarret Davis, Jr: Awesomeness…….
Clare Williams: Great place, warm welcoming atmosphere, lots of variety. I have enjoyed growing my practice, and it most definitely helps with self care.
Jennifer Maupin: YogaSix on Manchester Rd is my go to for my yoga practice. They provide me with a clean space, friendly and skilled teachers, and a variety of classes to choose from all week long. After taking advantage of a weekly promo they were running I knew right away I wanted to be a member even though I already have a gym membership at a local gym, that's how great this place is. I go three to five days a week.

ashley hvarven: Just finished my 1st week of unlimited Yoga here at Yoga Six. I love the cleanliness of the studio rooms and lobby and bathroom/locker room. They have some complimentary toiletries at the sink, which I have not needed but thought was a nice touch. The classes I attended were; hot yoga, deep stretch and power yoga. The room temperature and humidity in the room was comfortable and controlled. I felt the yoga teachers in all classes I attended were knowledgeable and helpful in their guidance of the sessions. Overall, I felt welcomed and as though I belonged there. Thank you Yoga Six staff for your caring hearts and gracious ways. I highly recommend giving Yoga Six Des Pres a try.
Lauren Rodewald: YogaSix is a community to help you grow your practice. Everyone there is so nice and welcoming!! There is no judgment at all. The wide variety of class options and teachers! The studio itself is a clean and relaxing environment. During your class, you can safely secure all of your belongings in the lockers at no additional cost. The lockers even have USB ports inside of them so you can charge your phone during class. They even have an amazing app to help schedule your classes, keep track of your goals and classes you take. I highly recommend!! I absolutely love it!!

I have felt seen and encouraged in the Y6 community. Everyone is so kind from the girls at the front desk to the amazing instructors to the people on their mats alongside me. Love. It.Protip: Try a Buti class! Don't ask... I can't explain it ;)
Gina Castro: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThe Buti class on Wednesday night and Friday morning are my favorite. Great core workout and the teacher is so fun. This class is not like regular yoga, more flow and movement.
Leslie Pin: YogaSix in Des Peres is a haven for me in this rush about tense world. You are always greeted with a warm welcome, often by name. It is a warm, friendly, inviting atmosphere that is always spotless. Non-intimidating, with a listen to your body mentality that has class options for every ability and inclination. The teachers are fantastic. I can’t speak highly enough of the manager Amber. She is so kind and responsive. This place has been particularly important to me through the pandemic!
Mainiti Hood-Allen: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityWhat i really like about this location are the padded flooring. It definitely makes a difference for me on my wrists and knees. I wish all yoga studios had them LOL. The staff are really nice and welcoming. Buti yoga classes are my fave 😍. I highly recommend if you haven’t tried it before.
Tony Parrack: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityBest variety of yoga classes to music in St. Louis!
Beth Donaldson: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI’ve taken a few of the hot yoga classes and they are amazing. I’m a beginner with yoga but the instructors are supportive and encouraging. I feel grounded, refreshed and stronger after each session.
Morgan Knepper: This is my go-to yoga studio even though it's a 25-minute drive for me! I highly recommend Ashley H.'s sculpt and flow classes, but I love all of the classes I've taken here. The space is always spotless and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful!
Jeff Alperin: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI’ve been to several yoga studios, but Yoga Six really stands out. Not only is the instruction outstanding, but the facilities are top notch and there’s a sense of community here. I really enjoy the challenge of sculpt classes and the deep stretching of their restore classes. Check it out! 5/5!
Jeanne Bonzon: I love this studio. It's tranquil, bright and clean. They have a variety of classes each day, and the instructors are great. Each has their own style and offering.

Ryan W: I have been a member at Shanti Yoga for over 4 years. It is an excellent studio with a wonderful and consistent cadre of instructors and a broad range of different classes and workshops.
Molly Waters: Fantastic classes
Ann Marie Garrison: Shanti Yoga is a truly phenomenal and healing yoga studio. The studio offers a variety of classes from power vinyasa to yin and restore. They make classes accessible and approachable for students of all ages. The instructor's make an effort to get to know you, and ask what areas you want to work on in class. I practiced at few other yoga studios in the past, but this is the first one that felt like home. If you are interested in trying yoga, or looking to return to the practice I highly recommend checking out this studio!
Alice Kinsella: Love Shanti Yoga! Great space and great teachers!!!!
Rachael Karadja: Shanti is the best. It’s a welcoming, accessible community.
Emily Karcher: Shanti is WONDERFUL. The community is warm and welcoming, and the studio is cozy and always clean. I’ve really appreciated their careful approach to practice through the pandemic. Aside from the restorative or beginner classes, I appreciate that many class offerings are more challenging than other yoga studios I’ve tried around STL. But they strike a great balance - all are welcome and the teachers do a great job of including everyone and making sure modifications are offered for all skill levels. Highly recommend!
Shannon Dalton: Warm welcoming environment. Every instructor is super knowledgeable. I have an old ACL tear and fracture that causes instability. All the instructors have been amazing in helping me find alternative posses or modifications to possess. I was super nervous starting back into yoga but quickly felt part of the community. I love the wide variety of classes and times of classes offered. The stretch and restore is my all time favorite. I find this class super helpful in learning the different breathing techniques.
Chris Beavin: Shanti yoga is a wonderful community space that offers classes rooted in yogic philosophy. The teachers are highly skilled and there are a wide variety of classes to choose from daily. In my opinion, it is the very best studio in St Louis!
Brittany Radford: Had such an amazing experience!
Vicki Ash: This is a great community studio. Their teachers and commitments at Shanti feel real and genuine. I have found my yoga home! Thank you Shanti❤️
Beth Alseth: Shanti Yoga is more than a yoga studio- it’s a community! The owner and instructors nourish my mind, body, spirit! They provide a wide range of classes with excellent guidance. I love the meditations and sound baths during the combined yoga and meditation classes. The instructors encourage us to make our practice our own and choose asanas that serve our individual needs. The alignment cues are clear and helpful. I appreciate kindness and compassion!
John Banjak: Shanti Yoga is such a warm, inviting place, owned & managed by a very caring (and detailed) person in Katie Kelly. A more "traditional yoga feel", the class offerings are strong, the yoga room comfortable, and the overall experience fantastic! Highly recommend giving it try, as beginner or experienced yogi! :-)
Hanna Wyland: Shanti is a fabulous studio. Each instructor is welcoming, friendly, and guides in an accessible way. I love that there are no mirrors, it's a cozy, welcoming, and all around good vibe place!I appreciate that Shanti makes steps to de-center whiteness in yoga, honoring the practices roots and doing so an authentic, approachable way. (Music is appropriate for a yoga class, there is instruction that encourages you to take agency and do what's accessible in your body).highly recommend it- check out Shanti! ♥️
Gretchen Schiltz Brenner: I have so enjoyed my classes at Shanti Yoga! I’ve particularly enjoyed the Wednesday morning Hatha Flow class with Carey. It’s just a lovely practice, and Carey is fantastic about supporting modifications and/or people’s different paces. One thing I’ve loved about Shanti in particular is that everyone is warm and welcoming. I’ve been to other yoga studios and classes where hardly anyone smiles or makes eye contact. Just being acknowledged as a fellow classmate makes a huge difference to me!
Macy Child: Very nice and calming atmosphere. Good diversity in teaching styles and class intensity. So glad to have found a good spot to keep going to.
Lexi Marek Beeler: I love Shanti Yoga! Immediately I felt welcomed and at home. Each class offers a different focus to my yoga practice and I look forward to going each time. Definitely recommend!
charmaine Smith: In a charming and intimate studio space, Shanti Yoga offers a respite and an opportunity to connect with my body and breath in a supportive, respectful way. The instructors are kind guides who lead us through 60 minutes of practice. I am grateful.
Sophie Jacobs: I’ve felt very welcomed ever since my first class. I also appreciate the emphasis on showing up as you are, welcoming modifications. It’s a great way to start my day.
Anna Schwind: Shanti is a warm and lovely studio with lots of class options and a real sense of community.
Savannah Larimore: Great local yoga studio. I've done classes at both locations and in the park during the summer and it's always been a positive experience. Would definitely recommend this studio, especially the Stretch & Restore classes which are great way to unwind and relax.

Nikki Athanasiadis: My favorite place and space to be. You should definitely check it out. 💛🧡💚
John Vilbig: Great place and an awesome instructor. We did the hot yoga and I've done hot yoga before at a different place and didn't like the smell. Gateway yoga was very clean and no smell it shows that they take good care of the facilities. All around great experience.

Daniel Anthony: Great class & atmosphere. The cold lavender towel in the end was a special touch!
Mary Lamping: Beth is a very positive teacher. She takes the time to help you find a good modification for a pose and then congratulates you when you get it right. I took yoga 101 for beginners, so it wasn't heated and isn't a "power" class. It was still a challenge for me, in a good way, and I felt confident that I can make progress.
Chelsea Bowers: I have lived and practiced yoga in many places, and this is truly my favorite studio ever! My favorite part is the sense of community. The owners, teachers, and other students are all so welcoming and supportive. I also love how they offer many different styles of yoga and special workshops too. Amazing studio for new and long-time yogis!
Stephanie Harris: I've been so please with every class I have ever taken here. When I come consistently, my body moves so much freer, I have more flexibility, and my spine even decompresses-- to the point that I regain lost height (usually about a quarter of an inch). Thank you, BPY- St. Louis for offering such a great variety of in-person and online classes.
Hannah Houtz: All of the instructors create a very inviting atmosphere, no matter what your skill level is. A great community of yogis!
Mary Jo Bauer: I am thrilled to have found this studio! Being relatively new to yoga- I am grateful for the guidance, patience and openness of the instructors and the entire community. Whether it is sweating in the studio or being amongst nature in Kirkwood park, I leave class physically and mentally recharged!! I encourage new students to take advantage of the 2-week unlimited promo-- I promise you will be hooked :)

They really care about your, overall well being!! Lots of ways to get started. Do yourself a favor and check them out!
Matt K: I highly recommend Baptiste Power Yoga St. Louis! Great space with amazing instructors. The Yin and Mobility classes have especially helped my lower back pain issues.
Jane Brda: Great studio with great teachers and real community. Get your sweat on and feel great!
Jennifer Huber: I'm in St. Louis for work quite often. As a result, I've checked out BlueBird Yoga (closer to the office but parking is tricky!), Yoga Six (awesome shower facilities!) and then I found Metro Power Yoga - who have now become a Baptiste Affiliate studio - Baptiste Power Yoga St. Louis !!The studio has ample parking and has awesome early morning yoga classes so I can get Journey Into Power into my morning before the work day starts.SO GOOD!
