Pure Hot Yoga St. Louis: what do users think?
Sherna Nichols (She'): Good for the mind, body and soul
mary works: I have always loved this place - hot, organized, clean, wonderful instructors and staff. I try to take class whenever I visit a new town and other studios rarely live up to Pure Hot Yoga. It's the gold standard. It's under new ownership now and it's STILL the best. How awesome is that?!
Casey Selby: I move a lot and have probably been to 50+ studios. I have had the BEST experience at pure hot yoga stl. They remembered my name after my 1st class! Very welcoming and the energy is great.
Joao Hernández: First time trying hot yoga!! Instructors are nice and comprehensive and you can go at your own pace! Amazing people and amazing place!!!
Hyun Soo Suh: I came back to hot yoga after some years of break, and it was my best decision this year! The instructors are great, encouraging and friendly, and I love the classes.
Hilda Hildebrand: Love this studio, the energy and the people.5 star rating for sure!
Alexandra Hildreth: Friendly and consistent - if you are new to hot yoga, this is the classroom environment for you! Erin is very welcoming and approachable - what a great team!
Beth Huebner: I love PHY! I have been taking yoga classes here for almost 15 years. Although the heat can be intimidating at first, the instructors are so kind. As someone with arthritis, the heat helps me move better (particularly in the winter). The community is welcoming, and I love the addition of new classes like flow. There is something for everyone.
Lisa Roth: Pure Hot Yoga is the best yoga studio. They also have inferno Pilates which I love. The yoga and Pilates are very challenging but they keep me feeling awesome. It’s the best for physical, mental, and emotional health. The teachers are amazing and so helpful and encouraging. I feel I’m part of a welcoming community. Having zoom and on demand archived classes means I can practice at home which kept me sane and healthy during the pandemic. The studio practices safely with cleanliness.
Jackie Braznell: YOUR BACK & JOINTS WILL LOVE YOU! THIS PLACE WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!PHY STL is so welcoming that once you walk through the door you will be so happy you did! The studio is made up of people from all ages, shapes and experience levels. Each instructor brings their own personal style and knowledge to class so you feel like you are always learning something new to grow in your practice. The studio offers a variety of classes daily to focus on your yoga practice or get you out of your comfort zone with a high energy warm pilates class!
Ted Smith: Can't say enough good things about this place. The instructors and staff are all wonderful, and everyone is friendly including the students. Studio and bathrooms are always thoroughly clean. The intensity of these classes will challenge you for sure, and it's so worth it!
Rebecca Melander: WHAT A GREAT FEELING! I came to class in a frazzled huff. My mind wasn't ready. My body didn't feel ready. But when I entered the hot room, that outer layer of doubt melted away. Hilary led us through the series and I found my body cooperating and then leveling up to my mood, which was improving with each droplet of sweat, each millimeter of flexibility. I've been a member for over 12 years and still, each class I take offers me something new. This yoga is one of the most satisfying experiences for me and I would say to anyone who might be on the fence about coming to class: COME TO CLASS! You will feel better than you imagined once it's done and you'll come back for more. Thank you PHYSTL!
Stephane Rebeck: OMG this place. Even when it's hard, it's awesome. Such an amazing community. Great vibe, really supportive, and the instructors are so knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and fun. Anytime I leave town, this--yes THIS--is what I miss most. Once you start, you'll never want to skip a day.
Lindsey Moore: I have come back to this studio during many different season and I always feel welcomed, supported, and energized during my experiences. I appreciate the ways they support me to take care of my physical health, while remembering how important my mental and emotional health is as well. It truly is a place for me to sweat out life stresses, practice de-escalating my nervous system, and come back to the center of myself. thank you to all the team members at Pure Hot Yoga!
dog training: It's a great practice just wish this wasn't the only studio. They run it like, they know it is the only bikram place closest to the city. The guy instructors are cool and most of the other instructors. One bad apple particularly is the woman with the sides shaved off of her head. I come to decompress and she went spastic in class over me leaving my spot to get tissue. She was in the back of the class and I was less than 10ft from the tissue. She's crazy about you wearing a watch too! Other instances but, not to bad. Shaved head is the most condescending passive aggressive so unnecessary. I definitely made that incident my last. I was jacked for the rest of the month. I lost money because it's a "no instructor might be wrong policy". I understand the rules because, I went on south grand to bikram for years with no incidents. I miss them! For $100 plus a month and a bad relation. I'd rather be fat and stiff and invest my money elsewhere until another bikram open in the city limits.
Haley Henderson-Pennington: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis studio has entirely changed my life and mindset in the last 9 months of practice. I never thought I would be able to withstand the heat, but it has helped me work through so many injuries. I also really appreciate their text services with reminders about classes you have signed up for! It helps keep me accountable to my practice.
Brooke Inman: Absolutely love Pure Hot Yoga STL! Every single one of the instructors is knowledgeable, welcoming, challenging (in the best way) and professional. They each add their own personality to the classes and I love them all. They all learn your name from the very start and that just adds to the warm and welcome feel of the studio. This place has quickly become a favorite spot of mine. Also an important mention is that it is very clean. Thanks Erin and Carol for creating such a high quality hot yoga studio/environment.
Rebecca Bickel: Positive:QualityI adore this studio and all of the people there! Everyone is so kind and makes you feel comfortable no matter your experience level. I was a total novice when I started, but I never felt bad about that- instead I felt encouraged and celebrated!
Ashley Lumpkin: I’ve been attending classes for the past few weeks and it’s been my favorite yoga studio. I’ve attended other hot yoga studios, and have found the classes distracting with music and frills. Pure Hot sticks to the more traditional bikram method which I like!As a contrast to the more still and regimented yoga class, they also have the IHP Pilates class which has music and is a lot of fun. It includes high intensity interval training and is an amazing a full body workout. I love attending both classes.
Spenser R: I had been looking for somewhere to get back to practice and this place has welcomed me with open arms! I love coming in each day and all the instructors are knowledgeable and helpful with everything that I have asked them about practicing yoga and Pilates. I’ll be a member for a long time to come!
Pete Willenborg: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI love Pure Hot Yoga! It truly has changed my life. The staff has been absolutely amazing during this trying time. For the last 11 months, I’ve attended several classes and I’ve never seen an employee or member not follow safe protocols. It has been a safe haven for stresses of everyday life.

YogaSix: what do users think?
Giancarlo Andreoli: Posto fantastico. La lezione di Hot Yoga è stata veramente bella, il posto è pulitissimo e il personale veramente gentile.TOP!!
Nick Thompson: Received an offer to do 4 classes for $53.00. I unfortunately didn’t read the fine print and it was a subscription. I was charged $212.00 dollars on top of the $53 I paid initially by the time I noticed. They made it quite difficult to cancel. Unable to cancel online on your account, and can’t be done by calling the location. The studios number is the only one available and someone is not there always during business hours so it took a while for me to get someone. I didn’t find out until I got someone at the location I needed to email someone named Oliva Davis. My experience with Olivia was not a good one. Come to find there’s an 30 day cancellation “notice” that must be given, so they don’t even close your account immediately when you finally find the right person. I went to 1 class the first month, that I didn’t like and never went back, but there was no consideration for a refund of the 2 additional payments of $106.00 a piece for services I obviously didn’t use as I didn’t know I paid for them and didn’t even want use the 3 remaining classes of my 4 I paid $53 for. I actually called the day the of the second charge before I would have even had a chance to use the services for that month and Olivia still wouldn’t even refund that $106.00 payment. Had to dispute with my card company. I kept getting payment due notifications until I called the studio again and got a general manager’s number, who showed a little bit of decency and understanding, given I went to 1 class and was charged nearly $300.00 and helped bring my account to $0 owed. Please be informed this business makes for a tough breakup.
Michelle De Villar: Live it and love it
Kiara Lewis: YogaSix is awesome! They have a unique way of making everyone feel empowered. Really enjoyed my class today.
Kaitlyn Sprague: St. Louis is not Manhattan.. there is absolutely no reason why so many yoga students are packed into a tiny room. The designated mat spaces are literally six inches apart from each other. As soon as I realized I would not be able to freely move and twist my body, I wanted to run for the exit, but couldn’t without stepping on other people. Nothing “restorative” about it.Other things I guess I’ve been taking for granted at other studios that YogaSix lacks:-any kind of welcome to your first class or rundown by the front desk or instructor-pose demonstrations, corrections, or modifications (instructor just sat down and called out poses)-a cell phone free zoneThis must just be for people that don’t live in St. Louis and don’t know that there are way better local options for a fraction of the price.
Derek Thomas: Their best instructors are superb, and I would’ve stayed if they taught more frequently, but it’s the other instructors that ruined my experience. One instructor sat down with her back on the wall the entire class, giving disjointed instructions while drinking Starbucks. Another could not do 80% of the movements she called out and the pace suffered as a result.
H A: I tried the hot yoga for the first time at this place. Yoga instructor seemed nice. It felt great afterwards. It was hard at first to concentrate due to the fast tempo music. Honestly, the music played that day doesn’t go well with the yoga. Prefer slower music to help with focusing, being more mindful and actually hearing the instructor.
Elise Skulte: Yoga 6 is amazing! All the structors are super nice and you can really get a lot out of the hot yoga classes even if you put in minimal effort because the rooms are hot! 🔥
lilly Simon: Critical:Communication,Professionalism
Genny B: So called instructor Danielle SITS for the entire class, speaks out ' posses' and is looking at her cell phone and not the students. ..she does not give corrections, and does not and cannot even demonstrate postures. Why not just put a recording at the front of the studio? Students are at risk for injury in her class. .. a LETHARGICOBESE instructor is NOT a good roll model. HOW can a supposidrly reputable studio charge for and allow this instructor to teach for them? Management only wants your money.
Lynne Hart: Great class friendly people. It was my first time back in a long time oh, I've got a long way to go.
Aaron shavers: Priceless
Jamie Byergo: Love this yoga studio, especially the hot classes!
Mark Schoon: Great place! I have been coming here for three years and find that it is both a good place for beginners of all ages, and at the same time changeling to people who have been practicing yoga for years. The people at the front desk make an effort to get to know you, and the teachers are great about giving extra guidance.
Teresa Catlow: Positive:QualityLove the heated classes! Wonderful teachers and atmosphere!
Stephanie Burkemper: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Andrea Schmid: I’m not totally new to yoga but hadn’t been to a class in well over a year due to the pandemic and living abroad. This studio made me feel comfortable and supported as I transitioned into classes again post lock down. They offer a variety of class styles and once you find a rhythm, the classes stay consistent in terms of level. This consistency means I never have to worry about trying a new class or feeling inadequate since I know what to expect. The instructors and other class goers are open, focused and caring. I never worry about if I’m good enough and anyone near by can help answer questions for me. The spaces are super clean and the team is respectful of any last minute changes due to concerns about the pandemic or emergencies for cancellations. I love my new yoga home!
Alex L: This studio is awesome! Great class variety, awesome space & amazing instructors!! I switched from another studio that I practiced at for 6 years & this was the change my practice needed!
felicia r: I love the studio spaces, love the variety of classes Yoga 6 offers and the teachers are friendly and knowledgeable.
c s: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityYogaSix St. Louis is my home studio. The teachers are unique and excellent, the studio is clean, the rooms get hot, and the community is good. The monthly challenges help get you out of your routine. Hopefully they start offering hot remixes with music and sound baths soon! I typically have to drive to Des Peres for those.
Brennan Kolbo: Positive:Professionalism,QualityThe instructors are all very welcoming and know how to challenge their students in just the right ways!

HOTWORX - St. Louis, MO (Midtown): what do users think?
Wad Hicks: Not happy to find out that I am not paying $49 dollars per month but over $57 dollars per month. I was not told that taxes were included until after I got my first credit card statement. Also my towel and mat were $50 dollars each.
Arina Davani: I have tried to get my account canceled with hotworx since April 2022. Frank the current manager has assured verbally me month after month that my account has been canceled and has even sent me an email confirmation stating my account has been canceled. Hotworx has now pulled $213.95 from my bank account and my account is still active. Im beyond furious with their customer service and lack of attention to detail. I have explained to them that I lived internationally now and cannot keep calling every month to rectify this situation. Im unable to get in touch with corporate or the owner of the stl midtown location. Hotworx has access to my personal bank account number that I NEVER provided them. They have now committed fraud pulling money out of my account after confirming my cancelation and refusing to provide any proof, which I have asked for. DO NOT sign up at this location.
Katie Schultze: Love the concept but a terrible location. Needs love and attention.
Jack Rabbit: I love the gym and this review is because the manager or whoever’s in charge of cancellation enrollment is not successful or helpful at all I have been a member for about a year and I tried canceling it I went through the steps which was email still wait two months to get charged even though I have not use the gym and I am still getting charge and now I’m getting overdraft fees because I am still getting charged and not using the facility if you all fix this issue I will change the star rating!!
Gary Reim: Best 15 minute workout around!
myname1975able: Amazing space to workout while sweating inside of a sauna. Sessions are as short as 15 minutes. And they're open 24/7! Trust me you won't regret the visit.
Keyahnna Wilson: Very clean..positive ppl...love when im done with a class..i feel better
Annastacia Long: Took months to cancel my membership. Wasn’t upset that I had to pay $107 for an immediate cancellation, but I wasn’t given confirmation that my membership was canceled and I was still charged the next day for the monthly fee. My boyfriend had a similar issue, he tried canceling his membership way before me and it still hasn’t processed, they keep saying they will talk to the manager about it but in the meantime he is still being charged $64.22 each month.
Michelle Stark: Love this place! Great workouts and Celeste is awesome!
Layla Weston: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualitySince I joined at the start of November, the staff have been very welcoming, kind and always able to have a fun chat with them. All the classes are fun and motivating making you want to keep coming back!
Victoria Chapman: I lovvvvvvvve this gym!!!!! First of all, the staff is awesome! You can tell they really care about their job and all of the members. So it’s a real plus when you can go put in some work at the gym AND get genuine support! Secondly, the workouts are amazing. They are very challenging for those who are ready for that. But there’s no pressure to do more than you can. Either way you WILL break a sweat because of the awesome infrared heat that warms up your muscles and DETOXES! This is really a perfect gym! I will be a member forever. Highly recommend!!!
Claire B.: Love this place! I like that there are many different workouts you can choose from so they don’t get boring. That being said, most of them are pretty high level so if you have any physical disabilities, I’m not sure it would go very well. I would definitely say the isometrics and barre are the easiest to start with. Weirdly, the sweating feels really great and it really helps you feel like you had a great workout! (On top of the worked muscles, of course) There is a shower in one of the bathrooms, just FYI
Heather Brown: Such a great work out space. The general manager Riley has created such an inviting culture. The workouts are hard but I have never felt so good and strong after a workout before
Claire Tessier: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI’m obsessed! Such an effective workout. Definitely bring your water. Amazing staff!
Erica Crenshaw: I truly enjoyed my experience at hotworx the owner and workers was friendly and gave me all the answers that I needed so I recommend this gym for anyone
Nicole Christ: Love the workouts!
Amela Talic: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityVery nice studio, super clean, super nice staff and owner. Work out was fun and challenging!

Sumits Hot Yoga St. Louis: what do users think?
Martha Combs: This place is where my mom and I have found our passion for yoga ! My mom and I are so thankful for Melissa and the other outstanding teachers that have ignited our passion for Yoga.
Jennifer Leigh Thomson: Just had my first class and the level of hospitality was amazing. Everything from when I entered the studio, Melissa greeted me and she was so friendly to my class with Jessica. I will be coming back again
Dave Sharp: This is the best studio in town, by far. It's a great big family. I love it!
Julia Koenig: Best hot yoga studio in St Louis!
Luke Wapelhorst: Great studio and community
James Snyder: They treated a friend of mine unfairly and nobody there was asked to sign a document like he was . Where if 1 person said anything bad or he was 1 minute early he could get kicked out after he had taken nearly 400 classes in which nobody was hurt in anyway shape or form . However a woman treated him very ignorantly and disrespectful. Pray for my friend Ron because this place treated him so bad . Furthermore the guy who got him to join Darwin Clark told Ron he told them to write the contract and to kick him out because Darwin was jealous and a covert narcissist. Why did he wait until now to write the review after being there for 6 years . To cover up his ignorance or try to plain and simple . He tried telling Ron who he could and couldn't open the door for and that was the moment Ron lost any respect he has for Darwin . They talked about Ron staying there too long when Darwin stays there way later than anybody that is not working there . The point is the contract is unfair, ignorant and he wants Ron kicked out for stuff everybody knows that Darwin does . This placereally reaches new heights of hypocrisy.
Darwin Clark: Melissa and Emily, the 2 owners, ARE BEYOND COMPASSIONATE, CARING, and they truly care about making Sumit’s Hot Yoga STL a safe & sacred place to practice hot yoga. Their passion overflows into their staff, and their business. I LOVE THE ENERGY when I walk through the front door 🙏🏼 Thank you Melissa and Emily for letting God’s grace overflow out of you and into our lives! You’re my yogi family forever!
DAVE TAGS: Rude to male members
Spencer Trower: Awesome studio and environment. I belong to another studio closer to home, but I always come back to Sumits on occasion because the atmosphere is unparralleled and the heat exceeds alot of other "hot" studios which provides an extra physical and MENTAL challange.
Chelsea Theodoropoulos: I love Sumits! It is HOT as hot yoga should be. They do a great job keeping the space consistent, as well as creating an environment that allows you to show up authentically wherever you are in your practice that day. Many of the instructors (and owners) also practice in class. Their passion runs through and though!
Ashley Alexander: This is, hands down, the BEST and most professional hot yoga studio I’ve ever been to! They keep everything so organized and clean. Staff is very personable and skilled. Just love taking classes here!! Thank you for being great!
Kyle LeBlanc: At the encouragement of a friend, I decided to give it a try. I am very pleased with the results, facility, and team members.
Elma Garrison: Sumits Hot Yoga has been life changing for me. I was a barre addict before trying out Hot yoga, however I was looking for a new challenge as I was not seeing great results from barre. What I have found in hot yoga is so much more. I’m a totally different person now than I was in September of 2020. I am much more calm and so much less reactive in any stressful situations. My back issues I previously had are Resolved and I am way more toned and stronger than I ever have been! I highly recommend Sumits, your life and workouts will never be the same.
LaShaye: I haven’t been here in so long. Yesterday I dropped in for a class and i instantly remembered why I love this place! The hot yoga is so good! It feels so nice and I feel accomplished after. The staff here is always so down to earth and welcoming. I enjoy this place a lot and will most definitely be back a lot more in the near future! If you haven’t tried it you are missing out! 💜
Kelly Weber: Best Hot Yoga around!
dawn hildreth: Simply amazing…..if you haven’t gone to Sumits or taken one of Susan’s classes you have NO idea what your missing …… what are you wanting for?? Get up now and go to a class you won’t be disappointed….
Hannah: Always love the express flow
Ashley Lumpkin: I’ve attended a few yoga classes here and really enjoyed them. I love the low lighting, and it leaves me feeling great. My only complaint is that it can be difficult to hear the instructors voice over the music.
Nomi Rose: amazing place, good staff. a few staff members seemed like they were having rough days but i will still continue to come
Christine Hobbs: My girl friends and I recently started hot yoga and we are all now hooked! Sumits is perfect for every level of experience. We are beginners and felt so at ease in the classes. It helps having an amazing instructor like Katy, too! She was the first person we had and I've come to her classes ever since. She makes everyone feel welcome and as though there is no judgement. The energy is amazing, and the class is fun yet challenging! I highly recommend Sumits to anyone interested in hot yoga! :)
