Chao Baan: what do users think?
Wind Napol: Stopped by check this place out since it was just right around the corner from our Airbnb. The vibe and atmosphere felt cold and commercial. The restaurant was not busy at the time, still the host felt no energy and preoccupied with something else. So we got it as a take out. As a Thai person I was looking around to find Thai employee to chat or ask for recommendations, but couldn’t find anyone at the time. Food took about 20 mins. The food is definitely for American audiences.
Mary Cosgrove: We've been going to Chao Baan for a couple years now. I used to love both the food, and the ambience. Perhaps due to Covid, or staffing shortages, service has declined significantly. You're encouraged to order and pay - as well as tip 20% - using a QR scan code. Our server this past Sunday was clearly overwhelmed; he and one other person had responsibility for all customers. The hostess was obviously not trained for the position, and tried to seat us at the worst possible table, even though there were no large parties, and plenty of room away from the busiest part of the kitchen. I sure hope they recover from this.
Ryan King: Tamarind whisky sour was tasty. I had “spicy” som tam with no discernible chili, light on fish sauce, but otherwise ok. Pad Thai also on the bland side. Crab rangoon was good.
Keyra Sasek: Beautiful space located conveniently in The Grove with delicious food. The sauces are delightful. The food is great and not too heavy which I was very grateful for.Kid-friendliness: Our semi rambunctious 3 year old did well and was well tolerated here. No kids menu but food was plenty size portion to share!
Dejuan Harris: I wanted to start off by saying this was by far the worst experience I’ve had at any restaurant or place of business. May 28th was my birthday and my family and I decided to dine at Chao Baan on Manchester/Chouteau. My mother spoke highly of this place, and after checking the reviews I figured it would be worth the shot. From the very beginning our waiter took our order but upon bringing the food to the table he would just drop it off without announcing who ordered which dish. This resulted in many of us having to figure this out on our own or someone at the table eating someone else’s food. With a table of 9 people this consistently happened throughout the night, but we overlooked this detail because they seemed short staffed and our waiter was giving it his all. Shortly after our bartender brings out the drinks and spills alcohol all over my 12 year old son. The drink also spilled into his food, which they didn’t offer to refund or get him placement. There was glass underneath the table, the table was wet and my son was wet. Our waiter and bartender apologized, but didn’t come over to clean the table or move us to a different table. They just kept bringing out the entrees until we asked to be seated elsewhere. There was a fruit gnat inside of my uncles drink and, shortly after my aunts order, which originally was screwed up by our waiter finally arrives and it has hair inside of it. When we mentioned the hair inside of her dish our waiter goes on to say, “The industry standard doesn’t require cooks to wear hairnets.” Everything he said from that moment on was extremely condescending and sent us over the edge.At this point we were doing our to hold it together, but after he began disrespecting my family I asked to speak with his manager. The manager decided to discount the bill by 50% which was generous of him but overall I wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE. Not just because of the service but overall the food wasn’t worth the price.
Blake Ty: Enjoyable fine-casual atmosphere in The Grove. Kind management and staff. Happy Hour 4-6 with craft cocktails and $5 appetizers. Good music to fill the 22-table space with bar seating. Bring your family, friends, or impress a first date. Order Tod Man (fish cakes), Tom Kha soup, and Laab Tofu. Pair your meal with a Tamarind Whiskey Sour or ask the bartender for one of his personal favorite creations.
Rachel Kuzma: This place gave me mild food poisoning. The food is also way too expensive for not having any service, because you have to order and pay for everything on your phone.
Ross hunter (Foxfirerage): So there are no menus and you must place orders and pay via your phone. So for service I am giving 1 star, I would give zero if I could. Restaurants are about serving the customers not dumping the work on them. As for the atmosphere, neither the music or interior are asain themed. The floor is dirty but the tables are clean. The hostess seems nice enough for the short interaction you have. For the food, hot is a joke. No fresh Thai chilies :/ chicken is over cooked, though other than that the flavor profile is fairly good.
Brandon Annin: Bland americanized thai food (minus the whole fish; that was the one good dish). Atmosphere is horrible. They try to push you to order on your phone and wait staff is nowhere to be found. I won't pay yuppie restaurant prices for takeout levels of service.Food: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Tianda Harris: My family and friends dined here. The experience was absolutely horrible! There was no explanation of how the menu or ordering worked. For those who haven't been the menu is a QR code and all ordering is done online. If you actually want to interact with your party this is not the place to come as everyone stares at their phone half the time trying to figure out how to order. And beware that there is no "submit" button. As soon as you add an individual dish then it's considered ordered. Suddenly food started appearing at our table. Again, instructions from a waiter would have been helpful. And all of your table's food does not come out at once. Some people were almost finished eating while others had to wait another 10 minutes. My food was so bland when it finally came that it was inedible. I was told that was the simplest dish on the menu and usually kids ordered it. It was not on the kids section of the menu. It had no seasoning whatsoever! I wish a waiter had been there at any point to discuss the menu. When I finally got someone to call over and said how bad the dish was they acted like I should have known that! I've gotten this dish in other restaurants and, while simple, it has been flavorful and delicious. I was offered soy packets for my bland dish. It was only after I complained again, as the soy did nothing, that I was offered another dish. Also we saw on their website that the restaurant was offering a 20% discount to healthcare workers. My mom is a doctor so we asked for the discount and the restaurant tried to refuse as they said the offer was old. There was no date on the offer and it was live on their own website! Never at any point were we asked if the food was good (it was not) or if we needed anything. In fact every time a waiter had to speak with us they acted like it wasn't their job! We ended up spending about $40 per person on bad Asian food when we could have gotten good Asian food much cheaper somewhere else. Then they still ask for a tip at the end even though they don't take orders, give advice on the menu, or even interact with the guests! If you hate interacting with people then this is your place! Otherwise go elsewhere if you actually want good food and service. The next time I see a QR code menu and ordering I will turn around and walk out the door.
Sarah Kramer: So so good. Having lived and worked in Thailand, I usually avoid ordering pad thai in the US but Chao Baan’s is incredible. Also like their pad see ew and desserts.Recommended dishes Pad See EW, Pad Thai …More
Rex Davenport: The fact that you have to order and pay online when dining in would have been enough to ruin the experience, not to mention there's such poor reception in the building. On top of that, the food wasn't that great but was still sooo expensive. Plus it made my fiancee sick within a few hours.Food: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Jeff Guilds: Didn't eat in just got carry out but the food was absolutely amazing. We tried three different dishes and every single one was good and unique. Pad Thai was on point. The shrimp didn't taste like Midwest shrimp. Damn good food. Will be grabbing the girlfriend and coming for a date night there soon for sure.Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Pad Thai …More
Brittany K: We ordered chicken pad see ew. The dish lacked flavor and the chicken was very very dry.
Johnson: Chao Baan offers a fully automated online ordering through a Toast QR Code. Although this is convenient, it felt odd not having a waiter or waitress. They should really remove the tipping option since customer service is nonexistent. As for the food, the Pad See Ew had absolutely zero spice despite ordering it mild. It also tasted like a hastily thrown together stir fry with basic soy sauce.
Maria: The place is modern chic. I love the diversity that it offered. The hostess was nice and our server (young male) was attentive and friendly. The food was good. We came on a Monday evening. It wasn’t busy and the food came out very fresh. I personally enjoyed the flavors. They were overwhelmingly drowned out by sauce. My 15 year old is a picky eater and he really enjoyed his dish. Some things to note, there are no salt/pepper/soy sauce/or other sauces on the tables so you do have to ask for those. The menus are a QR code, so you should be familiar with using that ahead of time. Also, the sodas are canned. (No free refills) It’s in The Grove so it has that casual, lowkey, eclectic vibe. There’s plenty of seating and open space. Overall, it was a good experience.
John Nussbaum: Huge portion sizes, could easily order one meal for two people. Really good system of phone-based ordering from your table, including adding things to your tab, but there are waiters to take your order in person as well.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Steven Norman: What is there to complain about? Great food, reasonable prices, very quick and attentive service. Maybe the most slept on Thai places in STL.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pad See EW, Khao Soi …More
Jeff Hartman: Used to be one of our favorites but the food has been getting increasingly worse over last 6 months. In addition, they have switched to online ordering at the table. They want a tip before the service is rendered, and that service has also gone down. It’s pretty much non existent at this point. I’m not sure we will be going back any time soon.Update April 2023. Changed to 3 stars as they fixed the tipping issue. Other things remain the same.
Shawn Jones: DELIVERY GRADE: B- (Previous A)Restaurant has slowed down on deliveries recently. Wait times up to 5-10 minutes.
Jorden N: The Thai food equivalent of smoothed out SpongeBob. Great potstickers. Decent, good quantity, just meh in the flavor department on the entrees (Pad Thai and See Ew). You just expect even bad thai to smack you with one hyper aggro standout flavor, but here it’s just all plain and playing it too safe.

spencer simpson: The Unagi Don was not very good. The eel was drenched in bbq and like slop, there was so much wasabi in the bowl it was hard to work around without getting a huge bite of it. Thai Gai Yang Cafe: what do users think?
Kiro Chen: Food was fine. It's a college town food restaurant so don't expect anything mind-blowing.3.5 stars
R Y: got a gang masaman curry with beef medium spicy. after all the reviews and great rating. i was expecting good thai food. i got the opposite. theres zero flavor in this curry. a big disappointment. there is also zero spice. on a side note, this is a thai restaurant. so why is the inside deciration a mix of japanese, chinese and indian?
LuvMsLisa: This was our first time visiting this restaurant they were just opening for the day as we were greeted at the door, we were seated and we choose to sit in the window seats that were form fitted leather and very comfortable we then was offered our menu’s, the menu was easy to read with plenty of items to choose from we ordered our food and some of the food came out really fast. The appetizers were a great size and was delicious. I tasted everything that we ordered and I will be back.
Sarah: The table was sticky. The shrimp rolls were super oily - though they did come out right away. The pad Kee mao was also super oily and took at least 45 mins to come out. It's not busy maybe 6-8 tables. I'm pretty sure they gave my food to the wrong table and had to make it again when I asked.Looking around - there are tables where one person has their food and others are waiting for theirs. For a WHILE. I overheard one table who's appetizer came out well after their entree. My take is that the kitchen doesn't know what the hell it's doing. There are many better options for Thai in the area. I won't be back here. The staff was nice but that isn't enough to make up for the poor execution.

Carly Czajkowski: I absolutely love this place I’m not sure what else to say but this is the only Thai food place that I like. They make everything good every single time. No matter what you get. The staff are great and the service is great. Absolutely 100% recommend this to anybody and everybody.
Chris Rawlings: Ordered carryout from Thai Gai Yang Cafe and the food was okay, but nothing special. The spice was really mild even though I asked for the spiciest they offered. It ended up taking about 15 minutes longer than expected. They also didn't have the drinks I ordered and failed to tell me until after my food was ready and I was about to pay.
Himadri Ghildiyal: Loved the food here! Perfect balance of taste and heat. Will be returning again whenever in the city!
Yadira Sierra: Everything delicious!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Candace Girard: I have found the best Tom Yum soup in St.Louis! Amazing flavor! Just delicious.
Michael Lee: This is my own experience which prolly isn’t representative of what the quality usually is here, but the food here is not amazing. I got the pad khao tai and it was more congee than fried rice. It also tore up my innards afterwards. All I’m trying to say is that I’d be cautious but not close minded about going here
Grady Brimley: Servers were really nice but the food was mediocre.
Bell W.: We went because I was wanting curry but to not spend a whole ton like the restaurants nearby. At first walking in was a little sketchy and there were many there. Why husband had the dumpling soup which was pretty good not amazing ya know. Though we also got crab rangoons, chicken satay, and gang dang curry all of which were so tasty. I can never find good curry but this was amazing, the chicken satay had peanut sauce and it was magnificent, and lastly the crab rangoons were very good as well. Good prices and phenomenal food. May look sketch but trust me it’s worth it.
YanYan: I have some leftover from there and just found a dead fly. 💀 Even though, the taste is good, this shows me that they are not clean. Also, the ceiling of their women’s restroom has a big hole due to a leaky pipe. Order at your own risk.
EJ: Ordered food now over an hour ago via takeout, was told it would take 20 mins. I arrived after 40 and still had to wait 20 minutes. Nothing was offered in terms of customer service. I will never come back as there are too many other Thai places in the area with better service and respect for time
Ben Jeffs: Yummy and spicy Thai food
Jennell Encizo: The Pad Kee Mao never fails to satisfy my hunger and craving for Thai food Honestly one of the best Thai places in St. Louis! Spicy enough! Also the Tom kah soup is super delicious!Service is super great too
Cyre: This place is definitely 5/5! The food is so great and amazing quality. Me and my friends really enjoyed it and their crab rangoons and pot stickers are to die for!! I would one hundred percent recommend this place it compares to no other Thai restaurant I’ve had before!!! It some ho3s in dis house‼️👀
Shoy K: I ordered chicken satay to go with other menus and the chicken was not cooked properly. It was cooked like a tuna tatami, only cooked outside.

Gloria Patterson: I love this place! However, the reason for the three stars is that the service has gone down tremendously! The wait staff is often overwhelmed, and this results in your food being cold when it arrives! It’s all good, though; enjoy the food and the entertainment out the window as you eat!
Rose Pelosi: this review is purely in reference to the food. A lot of people rave about it due to the taste, but they use MSG and I feel the quality is low. Sensitive people will understand when I say that I could taste the mold in various vegetables. Keeley Allison: Trash Thai food. Tofu is flavorless and everything is too sweet. The pad Thai tastes like it was cooked in a syrup and not the traditional tamarind sauce. You also can’t adjust spice, so it’s served with none at all and you have to adjust it yourself, and good luck getting the ingredients to do so. Service was super slow, and they were out of several things we wanted (spring rolls, smoothies, sriracha???) I would not recommend this place at all unless you want poor service and super Americanized Thai.

Brett Berger: Thai Nivas is a wonderful family-owned restaurant that serves excellent, fresh food made to order. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they did an outstanding job accommodating my gluten allergy (celiac). While the service is usually good, the kitchen may feel a bit slow compared to other restaurants. If you visit when it's busy, expect your food to take a while, and your entire experience may last at least 90 minutes or more. However, the sushi is a notable exception - it comes out quickly after being ordered, so if you're hungry and the restaurant is busy, it might be worth ordering sushi specifically. Thai Nivas is the last business open in the quiet retail strip center, and it's truly a gem. Don't miss out on the chance to enjoy their delicious food! Overall five stars.. support local businesses!
Shannon Smock: Visited this gem over the weekend! Wonderful service! The food was great. I am always terrified to eat Thai food because I don’t like hot/spicy food. I asked for no spice and they made it perfectly.Parking: Plenty of open free parking.
Lorelei Welker: I've been coming to Thai Nivas for easily 10+ years and I have never had a bad experience! I was vegetarian for many years and their veggies sushi rolls are my favorite! I've had most of the dishes containing veggies, tofu or chicken and it's always divine. The staff is always lovely and welcoming. Blue Elephant Royal Thai Cuisine: what do users think?
Nicole Baumgarten: Delicious Thai restaurant, never busy when I go even when all the other restaurants in Clayton are. Confusing because this place is so tasty.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Dumplings, Pad Thai …More
HonestlyAnna: Kind staff and delicious food! I must recommend the Mango and Sticky Rice dessert, as it tastes divine!
Jay Siegel: Worst service ever. Ordered takeout online at 4:55. Promised by 5:25, 2 emails confirmed. At 5:30, they said the chef would start our order when he returned from a delivery and told us to return at 6. Order was not ready until 6:15, 50 min after promised
Uncle Fred: Friday evening and not one customer in the restaurant. Came in and saw some guy who looked dead in the employee area,,, not moving or speaking until we turned around to leave. “Someone will be here” ,,, we kept right on going. So now I’m reading the reviews, it was a wise decision.
james pranee: Terrible Service and Terrible Food. They served me poor food and I waited almost 45 minutes for it to be ready, then they tried to not give me my whole order and it was the Manager cooking. Serving size was on the smaller side esp. compared to the price.
Tohav: Wonderful food and atmosphereFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Yellow Curry, Pad Thai …More
Megan Robertson: Walked in and was empty but very clean, and a very nice women took our orders. I’m allergic to MSG so I asked her if they used it in the food. She good the chef who was cooking orders from on line in the back and he told me they don’t use MSG at all. My party got things the go, but she still brought out waters for us as we waited and very friendly. We got food, all good, I got curry that was noted mild, which at real Tai places I’ve been to means hot, and it was spicy. Very good taste with all our orders and great hospitality
John Held: Great detail in presentation and taste.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Alona Ivchenko: Not good at all. Thai fast food?!
Tristan Mackenzie: Food was great, smaller menu, spare feeling dining area. I'd go back.
Rishi Joshi: We went there for dinner. Service was super slow. We had to ask for napkins and silverware. Then we had to walk up-to the cashiers desk to pay for out bill. The food also come late. The food was good . We will definitely visit again hopefully will get better service.
Brendan Chia: Service was great! However, food was okay. I ordered Beef Panang, it doesn’t taste and feel like Beef Panang.
Elvis C.: Not very impressive. But their Thai chai is good.
Tana: We had a wonderful experience with the food, atmosphere, and service! We started with spring rolls and curry puffs. The spring rolls were fresh and very stuffed (definitely veggie heavy moreso than the typical fried springroll experience) and the curry puffs were flaky and delicious. The yellow curry especially was bursting with flavor and had a good amount of heat, and the basil chicken, chicken nut trio, and pad prik beef were also really tasty but mild (good if you don't like spicy). Finishing off with mango sweet rice for dessert was a must, it was so yummy. We were stuffed! We'll definitely be coming again!
James Johnson: We almost always go here for group dinners when another graduate student graduates. Last time 3 Chinese graduate students all agreed they served the best fried duck they ever had.It was fall-off-the-bone tender inside and quite crispy on the outside with a thin creamy fat layer between.
Roan Peters: My mom and I were excited to try this place out, but we were sorely disappointed and there is absolutely nothing royal about this restaurant other than the fancy table decor. The service was okay, but the food was a DISASTER…First, the Papaya Salad had a PIECE OF HAIR in it and that alone already ruined our experience. Of the few bites of Papaya Salad I had before I noticed the piece of hair, the green beans and cherry tomatoes that came with it ruined the whole dish.We wanted to leave at this point, but we had already ordered our main dishes and felt bad about leaving. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and hoped that our main dishes wouldn’t also have hair in them, but that was the least of our concerns by the time the Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao came out.The presentation of the food looked like it was not authentic Thai AT ALL. After taking a bite, it was literally THE WORST Thai food my mom and I ever had and Thai food is my favorite so I’ve eaten at countless places in several other cities. The Pad Thai was mainly made of bean sprouts and the noodles were hard and not fully cooked. The flavor was also lacking. The only good thing about it were the chunks of tofu, but we could’ve cooked up some tofu at home.As for the Pad Kee Mao, it was watery, had zero spice at all, and tasted purely of soy sauce and MSG. The flavor reminded me more of Pad See Ew, but a poorly executed Pad See Ew. Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles) are supposed to be spicy!!! There was no ounce of red pepper in it at all so I had to ask the waiter for red pepper and a side of peanut sauce so I could add some spice and dull the soy flavor to it. Also, the noodles were not the normal thick noodles that come with Pad Kee Mao, the whole dish was white instead of the usual brown look to the noodles, the peppers and the cherry tomatoes weren’t cooked all the way, and there was hardly any basil in it.The only reason I’m giving them two stars instead of one is because I liked the elephants on the menu and the blue elephant statue in the window.
Bryan S: The food is amazing and the staff is fast and friendly. Highly recommend if you work in the area, and are looking for a good place for lunch.
Ysa G.: Good food and fair prices. Clean and good decor.
Ketracel White: Delicious and super flavorful food and great service. Will definitely be back soon!
Adam Sickels: Open for dine in again! Finally!

Rearn Thai Restaurant: what do users think?
pus05 dab05: the food is very delicious and Very tasty food with Thai flavor.
Hans Liu: I just don't understand what all the bad reviews are about this place. Look at my restaurant history and you'll see I've eaten a ton of Thai restaurants and I lived in Thailand for a year. There is not only nothing wrong with this food, but it's honestly really fresh and delicious. Not to mention they are always super accommodating of dietary restrictions. Sure there are some more flavorful restaurants out there, but for the price and quality of service, Rearn Thai is always one of my favorites. Very quality family owned restaurant, and they are open late too. 5/5
kiedis066: Worst pad Thai ever, flavorless , soggy . Don’t waste your money!
corrina sanders: So I know I usually go here for the curry but it had a baby roach in it.. I mean I like my protein and all but I rather it not be a bug despite that it’s a ok place.
Stephan Winter: Good food and service. Small interior not so well decorated. But nice owner.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Roger Taylor: Fantastic Food! Made by the Best people!!
Sabina Kiteh: Great food, and wonderful service. Rangoons are a must, make sure to include in your order, it’s quite a treat.
Carl Beverly: Spending 2 years in Thailand, I would say this is one of the most authentic and delicious in the U.S.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Chris Pivirotto: Edible, but completely flavorless even if you choose the spiciest option.
Asa Hurd: Unfortunately this was the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. It was edible, but flavorless, the chicken was dry and the noodles were soggy.Ordered via GrubHub.
Melanie Wolf: Literally inedible takeout
Manjula Pai: We ordered yesterday and the spice level was totally different . Whenever we ordered we get correct spice level and totally delicious ones but yesterday spice level 3 and pad Thai was horrible. I think spice level 4 was added for spice level 3 and spice level 5 for spice level 4 . Pad Thai did not taste delicious at all
Bernadette Lindberg: It was the perfect place for a light dinner while traveling. The choices were great. Food was fresh and perfectly seasoned.
Michael DiMaria: Food is good, but the workers and owner are horrible at the slightest issue. We have ordered the same thing from them for over a year and they made it wrong once. When I asked if they would mind remaking it and I would bring up the original order they said I needed to pay for a whole new order and they would not remake it. I like the food, but unfortunately I will never order from here ever again.
The Treeo: Amazing Thai food and great service!
Amanda Williams: I ordered from Uber eats. The egg drop soup had chunks of chicken in it, I didn’t really care, but I don't thinks that’s normal, and was overly thick. The Pad Thai was probably the worst I’ve ever had, I can’t really describe why, but it was just bad. There was a big piece of fried egg on top(yes, I know egg comes with it), but it looked like a big flop of chicken skin. And the protein for the pad Thai was wrong. Will not order from here again.
Erin Williams: I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this was warranted. I saw this place on postmates and gave it a try. I ordered the Pad See Ew. It was just a dry pile of fettuccine noodles with random undercooked vegetables and like a tablespoon of pepper right on top. I’ve had this dish many times and this was not it. I thought maybe I got the wrong dish. But nope, the to go container was even labeled Pad See Ew. I tried to eat it but it was honestly disgusting. I also ordered the fried wontons. They were supposed to be filled with spiced chicken. There was maybe a teaspoon of filling in each wonton. I thought maybe it was a bad batch but then saw other reviews with the same thing. If you want Thai food, please just order from somewhere else. This was such a disappointment.
Brittany Gray: We ordered on door dash, and we were missing one of our main dishes. The pad thai was completely flavorless, which was surprising because it looked like it had spices on it. The meat on the pad thai wasn't seasoned either. The fried wonton practically had no filling. The crab rangoon had a very small amount of filling compared to how big the wontons are. The special fried rice had no flavor as well.
Tony Zafiropoulos: Excellent Thai food, we had the Shrimp and yellow curry. Quick turn around after initial order. Always has a smile when giving order !!
Karen Sachs: My sister and I loved this little hole in the wall place. The owners clearly take pride in their food and service. Great flavors. Relaxing casual and easy to find.
Colombian Connection: We wanted to try this place for a while. I can see some of the other reviewers point HOWEVER, I think you should still give them a little try - the Tom Yum soup is on point. Our red curry was perfectly fine as well. On top of that the prices are extremely fair esp. in clayton on top of that. The guy who runs it is super friendly and from the heart of bangkok

Fork & Stix: what do users think?
Timothy Lee: Waiters are respectful, kitchen completes orders in a timely manner, and the overall atmosphere is very comfortable.
First Place Cuisine: Was craving Thai food after a hectic outing at the zoo. Sat outside under a tree that was nice and relaxing. Chicken satay was on point, as was the main course. Located on a small side street. Indoor / outdoor dining.Vegetarian options: Many veg options
Ben Kolt: Ok Thai food with VERY small portions. My beef curry had 6 quarter-sized pieces of meat, 4 pieces of bell pepper, and a bunch of bamboo shoots. Not nearly enough for a main course. The city was watery.I'll not be back.
Susan Zornek: My husband, son and I came here before a concert at the Pagent. The food was amazing. And the staff were very friendly. I would definitely go back.
Emma Laudermilch: tasty food! would recommend.
theo le: The food was perfect. Ask the staff what their favorite is and you will not be disappointed. I kind of over ate but it was worth it. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.
Michele Schell: Dietary restrictions accommodated Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten free, Dairy free Recommendation for vegetarians Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings Large vegetarian selectionMore

rudaxxxmarta: I have never ate in a place so dark. Ate dinner there and it felt like the power went off and someone lit a candle in the room. I don't know who writes those nice reviews, but the food is too expensive and even below mediocre. At least the servers were nice.Food: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Marta Johnson: This is the best northern Thai food I have had in the US since visiting Thailand 16 years ago. We are visiting from out of town and ate there two nights in a row because we liked it so much the first time.

Zhiyi Li: The call and attitude were so rude. I have call them about kitchen close time. We told them our arrive time before the kitchen close. They refused us. Never go to this restaurant again. I used to love this place
Nick Jacobs: Recommended dishes Khao Soi, Hung Leh CurryMore
jeffrey huff: Pretty darn good. Would repeat.
Petiri Munyikwa: My favorite Thai in the city! Every server here is so nice, the food is always phenomenal even when they are really busy and the atmosphere is just perfect. I try things here I would never try anywhere else because I know it’s just remarkable! But the pad see ew is my go to dish paired with the Tom yum it’s just perfection. I’ve had multiple long conversations with the lady who runs a place and she is so thoughtful and cares so much about the food and the community- absolutely adore y’all ❤️
Quincy Cox: Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Amal Mohamed: Decided to eat at this restaurant based on the rating. Not the greatest in terms of quality and quantity. Given the fact that I cannot tolerate spicy foods, this has been the most bland Thai cuisine experience. Their hottest hot sauce was mild for me.

Thai Country Cafe: what do users think?
Nisa T: We love and so good restaurant
Kelly Rubiano: This place used to be really good 1-2 years ago. Now it is just tasteless thai food
jessica brown: They have the best fresh, creamy Crab Rangoon on earth!!!!The rice is perfection, I truly enjoy the cooking here.
Kristin Twombly: Yum! Amazing before a show at the Pageant!
Benjamin Hawkins: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Rose Oetker: Delicious. Good service. Good atmosphere. We got 37 & 47. It wasn’t spicy at all though.
Lisa Toth: Atmosphere takes you out of the streets of St. Louis to a Thai Garden. The staff is polite and the food is exceptional. Flavorful bright . I want more.
Christopher P.: This restaurant used to be great with staffs and food. Now all the old staffs have left and the service has been horrible to be precise. They kept getting the wrong orders and get annoyed when I told them so. And the staffs English is not good so there are a lot of miscommunications. I would recommend going somewhere else if you want decent services overall.
Audrey B: Lots of choices on their menu. Old fashioned interior design. I love the roast duck over rice here. A good place to have a dinner with a small group of friends.
sai santhosh: Recommended dishes Shrimp Fried RiceMore
Tyler Richards: My favorite place to eat on the Loop, I've been coming here for years! Honest to God the best Thai food you can get in STLVegetarian options: Vegetarian's paradise

Nikki Lohmeyer: Ordered the green Thai with tofu and it was delicious. You cannot beat the prices with the plentiful portions they give you. They don’t skimp out on the rice, let me tell you.I’ve been finding that more and more Thai places give you such a little amount rice and I still have tons of curry left over with zero rice. To me that is silly because rice is one of the cheapest forms of food you can buy. I’m not trying to eat a soup lol.EDIT: ordered again today 2/9/2023, and again, so impressed. Portion sizes are amazing especially for the prices.
CHING-SHIANG Young: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Green Curry, Tom Yum HotpotMore
Matthew Pagano: So I'll start by saying, yes..just yes. This place has the best Thai food in missouri. Me and my fiance come here often, as we are big on going to restaurants. I would highly suggest the yellow curry if you like spicy food and the pad thai if you don't. Definitely recommend coming and trying ym this wonderful place.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ben Miller: Good thai food with lots of options.Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
sarah gimson: Delightful! We ordered three dishes and enjoyed each one for their individual flavours. Yellow curry was my favourite.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Vanessa Marshall: My date found a BUG in his food. When we told the server about it, she just looked at us asked if we wanted to order something else. We left out without paying thankfully, but he was completely grossed out.
I S: this place under new owners (Indians. This is Thai food) and they should not be in business running this restaurant.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
SH J: Not sure if it's a problem with take out, but I have absolutely no idea how this place has over 4 stars. Consistently has been mediocre at best, and at times inedible. They have given me chicken instead of vegetarian options several times, the noodles are terrible, ingredients are not fresh, and there is no authenticity. When compared to good thai take out, this place is a complete embarrassment. Will never, ever order from here again, and I hope others do too so we can have an actually good restaurant in its place.
