Sen Thai Asian Bistro: what do users think?
Ray Vidal: Great place near the convention center. I over did myself and walked out stuffed. Suchi and beer, what a combination!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jamie Chaplin: After a long drive down from Chicago to St Louis, my wife and I settled into our hotel and started to have a look for a restaurant in St Louis. We was staying in St louis for a total of 2 nights and Being from England we obviously didn't know the area but we do love Thai food so we opted for Sen Thai and I'm so happy we did. The first night we went we was seated at the bar, the ambience of the restaurant is perfect, not loud, not quite, comfortable and spacious. The food is absolutely beautiful, I had the Lobster roll on the first night and OH MY GOD blew my mind how good it was, but I had the Calamari the next visit and the crunchy California roll and again it was as good as the lobster roll. My wife is a vegetarian so its hard to find places to suit her needs but Sen Thai catered for everyone and even she loved everything she ordered. We went to Sen Thai for the 2 nights we were in St Louis, we then travelled to Nashville and then to Memphis where we should of stayed 2 nights but instead we opted to stay 1 night in Memphis and then drive all the way back to St louis mainly because we wanted to complete the St Louis to Oklahoma part of Route 66 but it was easy decision because we got to spend another night at Sen Thai. Its been over a year now since our visit and still I think to this restaurant and how much I love it and how much I would love to open one in my home town because I do believe that they have the perfect balance, the restaurant was perfect the food was out of this world and the were drinks spot on!! I'm wondering if Sen Thai would do a work relocation for their sushi chef lol
spencer simpson: The Unagi Don was not very good. The eel was drenched in bbq and like slop, there was so much wasabi in the bowl it was hard to work around without getting a huge bite of it. Maybe I just chose poorly. I threw away most of it. Waste of money and time.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

MG: Pork bao was good but tomyum soup didn’t tasted like tomyum . It had a taste of kimchi stew but with less flavor. Also Would appreciate if you guys had option for extra shrimp or meat cause there’s just 2 small shrimp in whole tomyum.

ꕥ mattie ꕥ: absolutely amazing experience, sushi was to die for. it was absolutely amazing. the tobiko was so fresh & was perfect paired with the eel sauce, best combo of sweet & salty. the ramen was absolutely incredible too. rich & flavorful broth 100/10 perfect for date nightVegetarian options: there are lots of veg options here!
Bill Farquharson: Make no mistake: The drinks are watered down. My wife's Old Fashioned was nearly clear. My mai tai's were little more than fruit juice. Food was good, not great. There is something wrong with this place and it starts with integrity.

Chao Baan: what do users think?
Dejuan Harris: I wanted to start off by saying this was by far the worst experience I’ve had at any restaurant or place of business. May 28th was my birthday and my family and I decided to dine at Chao Baan on Manchester/Chouteau. My mother spoke highly of this place, and after checking the reviews I figured it would be worth the shot. From the very beginning our waiter took our order but upon bringing the food to the table he would just drop it off without announcing who ordered which dish. This resulted in many of us having to figure this out on our own or someone at the table eating someone else’s food. With a table of 9 people this consistently happened throughout the night, but we overlooked this detail because they seemed short staffed and our waiter was giving it his all. Shortly after our bartender brings out the drinks and spills alcohol all over my 12 year old son. The drink also spilled into his food, which they didn’t offer to refund or get him placement. There was glass underneath the table, the table was wet and my son was wet. Our waiter and bartender apologized, but didn’t come over to clean the table or move us to a different table. They just kept bringing out the entrees until we asked to be seated elsewhere. There was a fruit gnat inside of my uncles drink and, shortly after my aunts order, which originally was screwed up by our waiter finally arrives and it has hair inside of it. When we mentioned the hair inside of her dish our waiter goes on to say, “The industry standard doesn’t require cooks to wear hairnets.” Everything he said from that moment on was extremely condescending and sent us over the edge.At this point we were doing our to hold it together, but after he began disrespecting my family I asked to speak with his manager. The manager decided to discount the bill by 50% which was generous of him but overall I wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE. Not just because of the service but overall the food wasn’t worth the price. You could definitely do better by going to Thai 202.
Wind Napol: Stopped by check this place out since it was just right around the corner from our Airbnb. The vibe and atmosphere felt cold and commercial. The restaurant was not busy at the time, still the host felt no energy and preoccupied with something else. So we got it as a take out. As a Thai person I was looking around to find Thai employee to chat or ask for recommendations, but couldn’t find anyone at the time. Food took about 20 mins. The food is definitely for American audiences.
Mary Cosgrove: We've been going to Chao Baan for a couple years now. I used to love both the food, and the ambience. Perhaps due to Covid, or staffing shortages, service has declined significantly. You're encouraged to order and pay - as well as tip 20% - using a QR scan code. Our server this past Sunday was clearly overwhelmed; he and one other person had responsibility for all customers. The hostess was obviously not trained for the position, and tried to seat us at the worst possible table, even though there were no large parties, and plenty of room away from the busiest part of the kitchen. I sure hope they recover from this.
Ryan King: Tamarind whisky sour was tasty. I had “spicy” som tam with no discernible chili, light on fish sauce, but otherwise ok. Pad Thai also on the bland side. Crab rangoon was good.
Keyra Sasek: Beautiful space located conveniently in The Grove with delicious food. The sauces are delightful. The food is great and not too heavy which I was very grateful for.Kid-friendliness: Our semi rambunctious 3 year old did well and was well tolerated here. No kids menu but food was plenty size portion to share!
Blake Ty: Enjoyable fine-casual atmosphere in The Grove. Kind management and staff. Happy Hour 4-6 with craft cocktails and $5 appetizers. Good music to fill the 22-table space with bar seating. Bring your family, friends, or impress a first date. Order Tod Man (fish cakes), Tom Kha soup, and Laab Tofu. Pair your meal with a Tamarind Whiskey Sour or ask the bartender for one of his personal favorite creations.
Rachel Kuzma: This place gave me mild food poisoning. The food is also way too expensive for not having any service, because you have to order and pay for everything on your phone.
Ross hunter (Foxfirerage): So there are no menus and you must place orders and pay via your phone. So for service I am giving 1 star, I would give zero if I could. Restaurants are about serving the customers not dumping the work on them. As for the atmosphere, neither the music or interior are asain themed. The floor is dirty but the tables are clean. The hostess seems nice enough for the short interaction you have. For the food, hot is a joke. No fresh Thai chilies :/ chicken is over cooked, though other than that the flavor profile is fairly good.
Brandon Annin: Bland americanized thai food (minus the whole fish; that was the one good dish). Atmosphere is horrible. They try to push you to order on your phone and wait staff is nowhere to be found. I won't pay yuppie restaurant prices for takeout levels of service.Food: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Tianda Harris: My family and friends dined here. The experience was absolutely horrible! There was no explanation of how the menu or ordering worked. For those who haven't been the menu is a QR code and all ordering is done online. If you actually want to interact with your party this is not the place to come as everyone stares at their phone half the time trying to figure out how to order. And beware that there is no "submit" button. As soon as you add an individual dish then it's considered ordered. Suddenly food started appearing at our table. Again, instructions from a waiter would have been helpful. And all of your table's food does not come out at once. Some people were almost finished eating while others had to wait another 10 minutes. My food was so bland when it finally came that it was inedible. I was told that was the simplest dish on the menu and usually kids ordered it. It was not on the kids section of the menu. It had no seasoning whatsoever! I wish a waiter had been there at any point to discuss the menu. When I finally got someone to call over and said how bad the dish was they acted like I should have known that! I've gotten this dish in other restaurants and, while simple, it has been flavorful and delicious. I was offered soy packets for my bland dish. It was only after I complained again, as the soy did nothing, that I was offered another dish. Also we saw on their website that the restaurant was offering a 20% discount to healthcare workers. My mom is a doctor so we asked for the discount and the restaurant tried to refuse as they said the offer was old. There was no date on the offer and it was live on their own website! Never at any point were we asked if the food was good (it was not) or if we needed anything. In fact every time a waiter had to speak with us they acted like it wasn't their job! We ended up spending about $40 per person on bad Asian food when we could have gotten good Asian food much cheaper somewhere else. Then they still ask for a tip at the end even though they don't take orders, give advice on the menu, or even interact with the guests! If you hate interacting with people then this is your place! Otherwise go elsewhere if you actually want good food and service. The next time I see a QR code menu and ordering I will turn around and walk out the door.
Sarah Kramer: So so good. Having lived and worked in Thailand, I usually avoid ordering pad thai in the US but Chao Baan’s is incredible. Also like their pad see ew and desserts.Recommended dishes Pad Thai, Pad See EW …More
Rex Davenport: The fact that you have to order and pay online when dining in would have been enough to ruin the experience, not to mention there's such poor reception in the building. On top of that, the food wasn't that great but was still sooo expensive. Plus it made my fiancee sick within a few hours.Food: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Jeff Guilds: Didn't eat in just got carry out but the food was absolutely amazing. We tried three different dishes and every single one was good and unique. Pad Thai was on point. The shrimp didn't taste like Midwest shrimp. Damn good food. Will be grabbing the girlfriend and coming for a date night there soon for sure.Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Pad Thai …More
Brittany K: We ordered chicken pad see ew. The dish lacked flavor and the chicken was very very dry.
Johnson: Chao Baan offers a fully automated online ordering through a Toast QR Code. Although this is convenient, it felt odd not having a waiter or waitress. They should really remove the tipping option since customer service is nonexistent. As for the food, the Pad See Ew had absolutely zero spice despite ordering it mild. It also tasted like a hastily thrown together stir fry with basic soy sauce.
Maria: The place is modern chic. I love the diversity that it offered. The hostess was nice and our server (young male) was attentive and friendly. The food was good. We came on a Monday evening. It wasn’t busy and the food came out very fresh. I personally enjoyed the flavors. They were overwhelmingly drowned out by sauce. My 15 year old is a picky eater and he really enjoyed his dish. Some things to note, there are no salt/pepper/soy sauce/or other sauces on the tables so you do have to ask for those. The menus are a QR code, so you should be familiar with using that ahead of time. Also, the sodas are canned. (No free refills) It’s in The Grove so it has that casual, lowkey, eclectic vibe. There’s plenty of seating and open space. Overall, it was a good experience.
John Nussbaum: Huge portion sizes, could easily order one meal for two people. Really good system of phone-based ordering from your table, including adding things to your tab, but there are waiters to take your order in person as well.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Steven Norman: What is there to complain about? Great food, reasonable prices, very quick and attentive service. Maybe the most slept on Thai places in STL.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pad See EW, Khao Soi …More
Jeff Hartman: Used to be one of our favorites but the food has been getting increasingly worse over last 6 months. In addition, they have switched to online ordering at the table. They want a tip before the service is rendered, and that service has also gone down. It’s pretty much non existent at this point. I’m not sure we will be going back any time soon.Update April 2023. Changed to 3 stars as they fixed the tipping issue. Other things remain the same.
Shawn Jones: DELIVERY GRADE: B- (Previous A)Restaurant has slowed down on deliveries recently. Wait times up to 5-10 minutes.
Jorden N: The Thai food equivalent of smoothed out SpongeBob. Great potstickers. Decent, good quantity, just meh in the flavor department on the entrees (Pad Thai and See Ew). You just expect even bad thai to smack you with one hyper aggro standout flavor, but here it’s just all plain and playing it too safe.

King & I Thai Cuisine: what do users think?
Gloria Patterson: I love this place! However, the reason for the three stars is that the service has gone down tremendously! The wait staff is often overwhelmed, and this results in your food being cold when it arrives! It’s all good, though; enjoy the food and the entertainment out the window as you eat!
Rose Pelosi: this review is purely in reference to the food. A lot of people rave about it due to the taste, but they use MSG and I feel the quality is low. Sensitive people will understand when I say that I could taste the mold in various vegetables. Unfortunately, I just don’t think the standard is as high as it may seem. won’t be going back.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Keeley Allison: Trash Thai food. Tofu is flavorless and everything is too sweet. The pad Thai tastes like it was cooked in a syrup and not the traditional tamarind sauce. You also can’t adjust spice, so it’s served with none at all and you have to adjust it yourself, and good luck getting the ingredients to do so. Service was super slow, and they were out of several things we wanted (spring rolls, smoothies, sriracha???) I would not recommend this place at all unless you want poor service and super Americanized Thai.
Chad Quinn: Waitron rang our order up incorrectly, . Food was so so. Prices were high for what was provided.Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Thai, Pot Stickers …More

Nisa T: We love and so good restaurant
Kelly Rubiano: This place used to be really good 1-2 years ago. Now it is just tasteless thai food

Rose Oetker: Delicious. Good service. Good atmosphere. We got 37 & 47. It wasn’t spicy at all though.
Lisa Toth: Atmosphere takes you out of the streets of St. Louis to a Thai Garden. The staff is polite and the food is exceptional. Flavorful bright . I want more.
Christopher P.: This restaurant used to be great with staffs and food. Now all the old staffs have left and the service has been horrible to be precise. They kept getting the wrong orders and get annoyed when I told them so. And the staffs English is not good so there are a lot of miscommunications. I would recommend going somewhere else if you want decent services overall.
Audrey B: Lots of choices on their menu. Old fashioned interior design. I love the roast duck over rice here. A good place to have a dinner with a small group of friends.

Nikki Lohmeyer: Ordered the green Thai with tofu and it was delicious. You cannot beat the prices with the plentiful portions they give you. They don’t skimp out on the rice, let me tell you.I’ve been finding that more and more Thai places give you such a little amount rice and I still have tons of curry left over with zero rice. To me that is silly because rice is one of the cheapest forms of food you can buy. I’m not trying to eat a soup lol.EDIT: ordered again today 2/9/2023, and again, so impressed. Portion sizes are amazing especially for the prices.

Matthew Pagano: So I'll start by saying, yes..just yes. This place has the best Thai food in missouri. Me and my fiance come here often, as we are big on going to restaurants. I S: this place under new owners (Indians. This is Thai food) and they should not be in business running this restaurant.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
SH J: Not sure if it's a problem with take out, but I have absolutely no idea how this place has over 4 stars. Consistently has been mediocre at best, and at times inedible. They have given me chicken instead of vegetarian options several times, the noodles are terrible, ingredients are not fresh, and there is no authenticity. When compared to good thai take out, this place is a complete embarrassment. Will never, ever order from here again, and I hope others do too so we can have an actually good restaurant in its place.

Pad Thai St. Louis: what do users think?
Brittany EsterCrews: Randomly tried this place and everything was fantastic! The bubble Thai tea, the udon, the pad Thai, and the Shumai top notch. The crab Rangoon was perfectly fried light and crispy on the sweet side. My wife prefers a more savory rangoon. You can pick the level of spicy on the dishes I opted for a 2 and was perfect. My wife wished she had gone for a 3 or 4 but still loved her udon. Presentation was beautiful and our server was super sweet and attentive. 10/10 recommend. Atmosphere was cute and simple and there’s out door seating for those nice days. We’ll be back for sure.
Sarah: The spring/salad rolls were simple and good. The drunken noodles were well prepared but their spice scale is probably a lil mild. I mean ranch is spicy for some folks 😂. Good service and the ingredients seemed very fresh.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mike Breitenstein: This was our first visit to Pad Thai and was impressed with the clean atmosphere inside. A little too open but very nice. There is seating outside also but it was just a little too steamy for me.We arrived at 5:30 at a very busy time but the wait staff greeted us with a friendly smile and seated right away..The Thai ginger chicken level 4 was perfect in every way. Fresh, colorful cut up veggies cooked to perfection.Like I said the atmosphere a little off but made up with the cleanliness and food. Definitely will be back to try some other dishes.
Jackie Selle: Wow…our first time visiting Pad Thai and what a pleasant surprise! The food was fresh and tasty, and the service was excellent. The chicken pad Thai was delicious, and the vegetables were fresh and bright. We enjoyed sticky rice with mango and rice with egg custard for dessert. What a hidden treasure!
Kerri Fowler: Got a take out order. Let me say it’s Way over priced for the small portion you get. First time ordering from this place and looks like it’s the last. They charged way to much AND wanted a tip. (for what?) no napkins, no silverware. Had to wait well over the 30 mins they told me it would be. Don’t waste your time.
Carondelet Kitchen: Always a great experience! Fantastic lunch specials that a very reasonably priced. The Drunken Noodles are amazing!Recommended dishes Spicy Fried Rice, Drunken Noodles, Orange Chicken, Crab Rangoon …More
Chester Farrales: Everything I tried is good. Expecially the chiclen satay, pad thai noodles, Pho, and Crab fried rice. I would like more variety in the seafood ingredients in the tom yum.Kid-friendliness: They have a kods menu

I got the appetizer with the variety (wonton, egg roll, etc) and every single item was so delicious and their sauces are also so good. I ordered curry as my main dish and it was so yummy! Im from out of state and would travel back just to eat at this place again. So so good!!
L B: Thai food in South County? Vegan food in South Country? You bet! This is THE place! I almost hate to review it because that will bring even more folks to what was our "little secret." We've been going here since it opened as a tiny place in a strip mall. Hardly anyone knew about it then. It actually grew during the pandemic, taking over the neighboring storefront. There's good reason. The food is great, the service is great, and the atmosphere is great! Our family has ordered a variety of dishes; they were all fantastic and seasoned to our different heat preferences. They will customize your order too - choice of protein, rice options, etc. (For vegans, that means tofu and peanut protein options.) Thai ice tea and bottomless hot teas also good. They do serve alcoholic drinks too. Ask for chopsticks if you prefer those. The only downside - prices have gone up dramatically , so be prepared for overpriced food. I mean two veggie spring rolls are six bucks now! Nuts! So we don't go as often anymore, but we still go (and roll our own spring rolls at home - fun for kids). Lunch is more affordable and still gives a sizeable portion. Otherwise, five stars!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.Parking: Free parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.
Irish Racion: This place is cozy and clean. The staff are friendly too. One our order was crispy pork spring roll (the fillings were more like vegetables than pork) but everything we ordered tasted good. We would come back there and try some other dish.Update: Back here again, we tried a few dishes this time. We had cheese rangoon, khao soi, chicken satay, pork fried rice, and lava cake. Everything was really delicious. Price is a bit high from last time but it was worth it.
Adrian Wehlen: If you hate fast food this is the place for you. This is slow food. If you love going to get the menu yourself and wait 10 minutes to order this is the place for you!!!! And they are so nice they just ignore you and give you your food 40 minutes later. Best place waist your time. Food is amazing but service is better at McDonalds.
