The art in the place is amazing as well as the music, the artist are amazing, shop is very clean and they treat you like a human and not a number. I was greeted and welcomed right away and had the opportunity to get work done by Joey. I was very comfortable the whole time. Joey was amazing to work with and far exceeded anything I would have ever thought of artistically. He is a true professional and his attention to details are second to none. I would love to get more work done by Joey in the future.

Chelsea Ricketts: David usually doesn’t do photorealism but I loved his work so much I asked if he was willing to try. He said yes so I trusted him and it TOTALLY PAID OFF. This couldn’t have come out better. He clearly has a gift he didn’t know he had. I’ll be wearing another piece by him soon I’m sure!
Sarah Welton: I’m so happy I found this place! I got my jellyfish tattoo by David Hutson and I love it! David is very gentle, easy to talk to and a great artist. I was there all day and it was fun listening to the funny banter between all the guys. I felt very comfortable and welcome. They made sure I ate, took any breaks I needed and even watched me get to my car safe. I’m so glad I found my go to shop!
Seth Michael: I put a $100 deposit in March, when the appointment finally came around in July the artist double booked me. He said he would return my deposit. When I text messaged him asking when I would get it, he told me to call the office. They have not returned my calls or instagram messages. He is now not responding to my text messages.

ST34LTH yosaurus: They all seem like talented artists, but getting in contact with them is difficult.Edit: Once I finally talked to Andrew in person, everything went great. He always responds very quickly to messages. And I love his work.I initially got no response after I submitted the online contact form (at least 3 weeks ago), nobody answers when you call, and they text back intermittently. All this is actually par for tattoo shops, so it didn't really hurt my feelings.I was pretty upset by 1 interaction: I finally made contact via text, and we had been texting back a forth erratically and decided to try and schedule a time to come in. I was told to come in between 2 and 5 pm, and to let them know what day so they can ensure an artist was there. I confirmed that the next day was fine and showed up at 2:15. The building was locked up, big metal door closed with a combo lock on it. I Called and texted, no response. I waiting 45 minutes thinking maybe they'd be right back, no one came and I got no response to my calls and texts. So I drove the 45 minutes to be there at the prooposed time after confirming the day, only to essentially be stood up.

zach junkel: Got a sleeve done from Chris Sabatino and the detail he puts into his work is truly amazing. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he designed the whole piece himself. Not only was his work good but he keeps you entertained also and opened me up to lots of new music and art while at the shop. If you're looking to get something done I highly recommend him you won't be sorry with the outcome. He's definitely worth the money and wait.

Stephanie Walker: From beginning to end, my tattoo was an absolute breeze. Everyone there was super kind and friendly, the atmosphere is really neat, and I loved the music. They even played some stuff that was very fitting for what I got tattooed, which made it more fun.I went in with way too many ideas/choice paralysis. I ran them all by Sean and he helped me pick a design and placement. He customized my idea to make a good fit for both of our styles. I am glad I trusted him with creative freedom.He and his crew made sure I was comfortable and taken care of the whole way through. They even gave me some Starburst when we started to make sure my blood sugar kept at a good level. I have quite a few tattoos and I've never been looked out for preemptively like that.On top of the experience itself, I'm totally in love with my tattoo. It is high quality work backed by decades of industry practice and continued passion. I highly recommend this shop!! Did I say I love my tattoo? 😉

Chris Iannotti: Really negative experience. I called and asked if anyone could take a walk in since I only needed some shading done. I was told that yes I could walk in at two pm. I showed up and was told that it would be $175 an hour and would need 4-5 hours of work. I have almost 100 tattoos and hundreds of hours of work done by some of the best artists in the country. My time was wasted and the $175 an hour and refusal to refer me to another artist in the shop was borderline disrespectful. I have lived in STL for two years and have yet to find an artist or house to call home for future work. Unfortunately this place will not be the one.

On the same arm she also drew up a dragon that is perfect. These are a few years old and still look beautiful (I also have alot of other tattoos from her). We were trying to make a full sleeve but I moved to Alabama before we could get it finished. She had been my tattoo artist for over 10 years and I wish she could've continued to be my artist. It's going to be hard to find someone like her, if I ever do. I definitely recommend Laura, her artists and her shop.

Megan Clontz: I got my first two tattoos here in 2021 (and I’m just now writing a review🤦🏼♀️). First of all, I love the shop, I love the vibes, and the pricing is pretty fair. My first tattoo came out amazing, but it was done by a guest artist who is located 2 hours away. My second tattoo is from someone who still works at the shop, but it is easily my worst looking tattoo. I showed my inspiration picture from Pinterest, and I ended up getting literally the exact picture (which was not what I had in mind, I was hoping for something creative and along the same lines). But I just went with it because I was a walk in and they were busy. The tattoo colors will not hold, even after touching it up, plus he went super deep in my arm, in a pretty sensitive part of my arm as well.Overall, I do like the shop and I would go back, but I would go for a specific artist, rather than just a walk in. Q W: You won’t believe it but they put ink into your skin and you can’t wash it off no matter how much ivory soap you use at granny’s. I got my wedding ring redone at Trader Bob’s and they did good. It’s $100 minimum but well worth it. Grandma said I should just use a sharpie every morning or force a ring on that too small so it’ll stay on forever and use the $100 to invest in QVC, the wave of the further. I told grandma that I wasn’t buying anymore George Foreman grills for her friends and their panini club. Anyway, go see the folks at Bobs. They are nice, they’ll tattoo ya and it hurts. Don’t forget to Tell them granny sent ya.

Alpha: So, my name is Matthew. I had received a tattoo from Joey (feather fingers). Great guy, went back and scheduled with Matt because Joey had left. They have an all around great shop and it has been around for a long, long time. If your looking for great work and aren't going to complain about prices, perfect place. Just a word to the wise, never negotiate with your artist on price. They are providing art. The price pays for that. If you try and negotiate, some will...but your work will suffer.

Nubs: I would highly recommend this parlor! Ryan Henery did my first tattoo ever and it was a great experience. I really liked the traditional Japanese style snake he drew for me and he explained how it would look different on the curve of my arm as opposed to flat on paper. The snake outline took about 4 hours to tattoo and it was mostly uncomfortable, rarely painful. He was efficient, gentle, and we were chatting so much that before I knew it the sun had set and it was all done. I’m excited to come back for coloring the snake in gray.Ryan also tattooed some dark brown ink into a mole on my face that has lightened as I have aged. That was practically painless.

Heather McCarty: Very disappointed with this shop. They won't answer their phone, but the recording says they take walk-ins until 10pm so we brought my daughter here for her 16th bday to try to cheer her up after receiving some horrible news. It was 8:45pm & all we wanted were matching nose piercings, but they said they didn't have time for anymore walk-ins yet the shop was empty. We even had a notary meet us there. It was very frustrating after my daughter already had a heartbreaking day. I've always used Allstar Tattoo & will apparently continue to do so... the only reason we even considered Iron Age this time was because of their late hours, & they didn't even matter. The staff wasn't near as friendly either... my daughter doesn't even want to go back.Thank you for your response, but the notary was there by 9pm, giving you an hour to do two nostril piercings. We went to All Star at 7:25pm tonight & they were able to do both of our piercings in less than 20 minutes so it's even more upsetting that you couldn't do it in an hour. Like I said, unfortunately you don't compare to All Star so we will continue going there. Not to mention, their counter person is 100% nicer than yours.

Krupa Dudani: Impossible to make an appointment with the tattoo artist I was hoping to have my tattoo done by. I understand that each tattoo artist is busy and typically booked out ahead of time, but I have not received a single response yet. The first communication was on February 13, 2023, and the next on February 27, 2023. I've reached out through his direct page on his social media account, via text message at his cell phone number, and even called the shop to find out an alternative way to get in touch with him. He does not take walk-ins, only appointments. I'm not asking to have my tattoo done immediately, just to make an appointment, which seems impossible to do. It's disappointing because the shop appears to have a good reputation overall, but I can't seem to find a way to make an appointment. I think the business will lose potential customers if clients don't have a more effective and efficient method of getting in touch with the artist they want to use.

Natalie gave me exactly what I wanted, was sensitive to my low pain tolerance, and allowed me to take breaks from the process as I needed.
