T M: I have been going to Caleb for however long he’s been in STL . Haven’t been to his new shop but we are going soon . Needed to leave this review just to say how amazing he is ! I’ve had about three piercings , sent my friends to him and took my mother to him as well . He’s very soothing to the situation … I’ve always felt calm when getting a piercing.. the healing process is fast and never had any issues .. he knows his stuff . can’t wait to get some more done in the future. I would trust no one else in this area ! He’s your guy .

J. D.: It’s unusual to find a piercer that takes appointments. I saw Caleb’s name as a rec on Facebook. I went to another place in STL, and wasn’t pleased with an only walk in policy, waiting for over an hour, and then getting pierced by someone who wasn’t personable at all. Caleb was amazing. He was so helpful, and I am so glad I was referred to him. Parking was easy, the place was immaculate, and he was professional and personable. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Julie Westrich: The artists here are great but I’ve been here twice and each time the way management interacting with their employees is just the most off putting. I would not want a boss to act like that toward me and this is just what I witnessed the few hours I was there each time as a customer. The manager needs to take a step back and look at how they’re speaking and acting toward other humans. I even got directed some of that energy, and I understood the reasoning behind it what she wanted, but this does not change how each time I was there the interactions I saw tarnishes my experience. Super disappointing from such a cool place.

I had my first tattooing session with Nikole a week ago, and the entire experience, from beginning to end, has been nothing short of amazing. She has been so thorough with listening to my ideas, taking time to thoughtfully draw out the design(s), and meeting with me to ensure that I am happy with the art going on my body. Nikole, along with the entire staff, have always made me feel so welcome and well-taken care of in the shop from the moment I walk in. It is very clean and well-organized, and they are sure to use the best products to care for their customers. I have always had issues with infections when having hoops in, so I love that they offer D-rings as an alternative to make it look like you're wearing a hoop without actually wearing one! I scheduled my consultation with Kat and she completely understood what I wanted, sketched out a design, and even incorporated a minute detail I asked about the day of the tattoo. She was super kind and made sure I was comfortable going in and during the whole thing. Her work was amazing and I'm so happy that I went with the size she recommended, it fits my arm perfectly. Rainey Horwitz: I recently had my first tattoo experience with Kat at Arch Nemesis, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. First of all the shop is gorgeous and femme owned, a comfortable place for people of all identities to feel relaxed. From my consultation appointment, where they took great care to make sure that the drawing I created will be translated exactly as I had to drawn it (including keeping the imperfections which I loved so much, because it was ME). I love that they give clients complementary pasties for any rib cage or chest pieces. What was the most impressive thing was that she made so many stencils in so many sizes of my design, and did not force me to settle for a larger design, instead coming to a shared decision of going ultra thin line with my ability to touch up later. Erin Strong: I’ve been coming here for years. I just got my 15th & 16th piercings today. Most of mine have been done at TRX. Once I started coming here I haven’t been anywhere else.I’ve been pierced by Jezzy, Zakk, Zach (and im sure i saw Stan at least once). Everyone that I’ve worked with has just been awesome. I always end up loving the end results and it’s always such a joy to being there. Because of the people I’ve gone from being very scared and anxious before getting a piercing to just getting two spontaneously today very easily because they always make me feel comfortable.Beyond all of that the products are high quality, they are very mindful of hygiene and they are part of the APP. If you’re in or near STL and you want a piercing I can’t recommend them enough.

It took me many many years for me to figure out what I wanted and to have the courage to do it since I am very afraid of needles .the tattoo was very personal for me and my friend . Mine contained my loved ones initials who have passed .I will not mention the person who did our tattoos but she has been very unprofessional. I have sent several messages to arrange a time for our post appt check in as she scheduled us on a day we are working . I have made multiple attempts to contact her on IG and my friend too with to zero communication back from her . I called in and the customer service person said she would have her reach out. Still zero contact .I picked this shop because all the reviews and my past experience with the piercings I’ve gotten .This is really unacceptable: I’m not sure if she has some sort of unconscious basis towards myself or my friend but now I don’t even feel good about my first tattoo experience nor my friend . We were planning on coming back for more tattoos and piercings but I don’t feel comfortable. I will pick a different shop to touch up my tattoo and to do my future tattoos .Maybe as a shop owner you shouldn’t put a new artist with customers who are getting their first tattoos . It completely ruined the experience for me and my friend .

Imani Mann: Got a helix and naval piercing back in February . They asked to put a hoop in my helix, I rejected and asked for a stud to make healing easier. They then proceeded to put a CBR hoop in my navel without asking. It has made healing hard as it moves alot and is easy to hit. I think it was done because they are know to be hard to take out so that I would have to come back, but idk. O was able to YouTube how to take it out and replaced it with a bar and I much happier. Since my senior year of high school I swore that if my grandma’s time came before mine I would get a tattoo in her honor. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23. I found Allysen Meriwether who works at the same shop where I got my first tattoo. Scrolling through her page, I saw a tattoo she did previously that said ‘Annette’ and in the middle of the mall I broke down because that’s my grandmother’s name. That was a sign for me. I was very particular about how I wanted the font to be and she’s AMAZING with different style fonts. Her booth is clutter free and she let my best friend sit in the back with me for moral support. She took her time to make sure the size and placement was perfect and it came out exactly how I envisioned it.Proverbs 31:25 was a scripture the pastor went in depth about during my grandmother’s funeral service a couple days prior and that really spoke to my best friend Camille so Allysen hooked her up too! I’m so happy we were able to get this done before we parted ways. This really means the world to me and it gave me the closure I needed. I actually should’ve gotten the tattoo sooner for my grandmother to see it.Before we left, Dale asked us why we got our tattoos and long story short he opened up a little bit about his past and what God has brought him through. He talked to us about the book of Matthews. You can’t talk to everyone about God. A lot of people are bashful about their relationship with him and just looking at Dale, I never would’ve thought he had a relationship with God. I’m utmost grateful for that moment. Just goes to show you don’t judge a book by its cover. You don’t know what the next person has been through. Thank you Allysen and Dale! Miss taun: Took my 6 year old to get her ears pierced. I wanted to go to a professional and avoid any mistakes. The whole process was less then 10 minutes. Thorough cleaning to ears, placement accurate and surgical like procedure placement. Afterwards cleaning instructions provided along with written instructions and business card for any follow up questions. My daughter didn't even jump. It was all over before she knew it. The people are friendly. For some, all of that is a turnoff, I get it. But trust me- they’re legit here. Most legit of all is the legendary St. Louis Tattooer Dusto Roosevelt. Dusto is so good he makes me want to become obese so I can have more space for tattoos. Not even joking. Which makes me think the only way this place could get better is if they added a taco stand to the inside. Tats and tacs. It’s the future. Go here and get a tattoo and while you’re there, tell them to install a taco stand. Seriously.

bella schlegl: I was super excited to go and get some work done that someone close to me who isn’t around anymore made. I came in after saving up $300 dollars and being really excited. The guy I went to was kind and he told me he was confident in doing my tattoo. When I left the shop it looked ok from a distance. After following the correct aftercare in the following weeks I noticed that the lines were either fading away for blowing out. The whole thing became very muddy so I emailed to get it fixed. I didn’t want to go back to the original artist because the technique was not good. The owner Jerry called me and told me he would pay another artist to fix it. He said at most I would have to pay $50. I agreed and he got me in contact with another artist. The new artist was kind but he told me I would need to pay $300 and that only the shop fee was covered. After being lied to and blown off I reached out again to the owner asking for my money back so I could leave them all alone and just go somewhere else to get it fixed. They never got back to me and left me with this mess of a tattoo. Very unprofessional and i definitely will not recommend this place to anyone.Service:Large scale tattoos

Heather McCarty: Very disappointed with this shop. They won't answer their phone, but the recording says they take walk-ins until 10pm so we brought my daughter here for her 16th bday to try to cheer her up after receiving some horrible news. It was 8:45pm & all we wanted were matching nose piercings, but they said they didn't have time for anymore walk-ins yet the shop was empty. We even had a notary meet us there. It was very frustrating after my daughter already had a heartbreaking day. I've always used Allstar Tattoo & will apparently continue to do so... the only reason we even considered Iron Age this time was because of their late hours, & they didn't even matter. The staff wasn't near as friendly either... my daughter doesn't even want to go back.Thank you for your response, but the notary was there by 9pm, giving you an hour to do two nostril piercings. We went to All Star at 7:25pm tonight & they were able to do both of our piercings in less than 20 minutes so it's even more upsetting that you couldn't do it in an hour. Like I said, unfortunately you don't compare to All Star so we will continue going there. Not to mention, their counter person is 100% nicer than yours.

I understand that each tattoo artist is busy and typically booked out ahead of time, but I have not received a single response yet. The first communication was on February 13, 2023, and the next on February 27, 2023. I've reached out through his direct page on his social media account, via text message at his cell phone number, and even called the shop to find out an alternative way to get in touch with him. He does not take walk-ins, only appointments. I'm not asking to have my tattoo done immediately, just to make an appointment, which seems impossible to do. It's disappointing because the shop appears to have a good reputation overall, but I can't seem to find a way to make an appointment. I think the business will lose potential customers if clients don't have a more effective and efficient method of getting in touch with the artist they want to use.
