chintot: Fair for a place like St. Louis. The dinner option 2 of $24 for 3 maki rolls, 4 sushi and a starter - is not a bad deal. I tried the St. Louis roll deep-fried option and it cooked the sushi inside. I didn't expect that. I was expecting it to be like friend tempura ice cream where the ice cream inside is still ice cream and not melted. So I'm disappointed about that. But the server was attentive so that's a plus.

I was never a sushi eater before this, so I was a bit nervous about ordering it to my house instead of going out and sitting down to have some, especially at a cheaper place. He gave me the one and said he would fully refund me for the inconvenience. Great customer service, we’ll have to order again soon as I was really craving some sushi.

A crunchy, tasty kick with spicy yellowtail, cream cheese, jalapeno, cilantro, masago, scallions, spicy mayo, wasabi mayo & eel sauce at a bargain price of 10.99.It's a carryout place, a "hole in the wall," so to say. The atmosphere is as good as you would expect for walking in to grab your togo order. Food is well packaged. Polite worker, too!

Jen & Juice: I don't like writing negative reviews, but I am in awe of the very weird experience I have had with this establishment. I discovered them about a month ago, and have returned about 10 times since because the sushi is good and affordable. The quality of it exceeded my expectations given the neighborhood, however...There is something very off about the male employee, who identified himself as the owner. Not sure if English not being his first language is causing miscommunication or there are cultural clashes at play, but he comes across as though your patronage is burdensome to him.You can't order in-person or over the phone (weird, but whatever), so orders are placed through their website or a third-party courier service. Since I have a perfectly functioning vehical, I don't see the point in paying someone else to deliver it to me.Once the order is paid for with a credit/debit card, the site gives you an estimated pick-up time...and oh my God, you better be there exactly when it says or face the wrath of His Sushi Highness.My last visit, I was given an estimated time of 55 minutes to I believe an hour an 15 minutes. I made the mistake of arriving at an hour and 30 minutes. 😱 The gentleman had a look of annoyance on his face as per usual, but he really became upset when I simply inquired if there was a utensil in the bag.Upon his reaction, I finally worked up the nerve to ask why he is always so upset. He said that my habit of arriving later than the estimated pickup time (typically 20 minutes or so) is "rude"...?? As someone who has worked in the food service industry for 15 years (including two Japanese restaurants), it is not unusual nor have I ever seen it perceived as rude for someone to give themselves leeway on time when picking up a to-go order...ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S ALREADY PAID FOR. Not to mention, I always leave a tip despite being met with attitude. His reasoning is that it gets cold, which makes no sense as it is takeout and the temperature is of my concern.The defensiveness is extremely off-putting. Even so much as asking to tie the bag tighter (or doing it myself) so the soup that's stacked on another container doesn't fall over apparently offended him, as he referenced that request several times afterwards. WEIRD.I attempted to reason with him because I was genuinely confused and wanted to deescalate the situation, but as I did so his tone grew more hostile. He told me he doesn't want me ordering there anymore and to use the courier services.Wow. Just wow...and all because I requested for a bag to be tied bit tighter and not reporting for duty exactly as instructed. So weird!!There's another sushi joint off Grand and they seem to be much more grateful for your business. A tad more expensive but at least they're appreciative you choose to spend your money with them.I will say that the female who works here, who I presume to be an owner as well, has been nothing but kind. I like supporting local businesses (even promoted this place to a couple friends) and I do not want to be unnecessarily fussy...but good lord. In any case, I wish 1 Stop Sushi all the best.YOU ARE SO WELCOME

chickweed75: Our first time ordering tonight. We got quite a lot of sushi and the crab Rangoon. Everything was absolutely delicious! The Rangoon's aren't sweet like a lot of places locally, which I love. It also comes with sweet & sour, which was also great. We got 5 different rolls and every single one was fantastic. I'm pretty sure they even threw in a few pieces that we didn't order. I've driven by this place many times, I'm glad I finally thought to give them a try. This location has been a revolving door of businesses in the last few years. I hope they stay, because it really is great food. And as another review stated, I ordered online and was given a pick-up time, but they called to let us know it was ready earlier. Go get some!!

Me and several customers stood and watched how the staff treated the host who is on the spectrum (mentally disabled) they were mean to him, ignored him when he asked them questions, made annoyed faces at him and more! We were excited about the food since we were starving and the wait time and high prices had our hopes up for a good meal. We were in for an unpleasant surprise. First they didn’t have enough clean silverware so the server finally brought us a fork each by cleaning it himself( kudos to him for that!). The rolls were below average and you could tell they were just rushing to make them to meet demand. We had one of their most popular entrees as well which also was a 5/10 at best. My wife and I get Japanese in every city we visit. This was a great disappointment.Only plus is that they open late and that’s probably how they get business.

The presentation of the dishes was what you would expect from a sushi restaurant in the Central West End, and the prices follow suit. Not overly expensive, but some of the more basic rolls are a little pricey for what you get. That being said, I wouldn’t go to Drunken Fish for cheap sushi, I would go for nicer more unique rolls and dishes. The service was really nice, and the ambiance was casual but classy. I’ll be happy to come back by for dinner some time.

Upon requesting to sit at the bar, she confirmed with the bar, and promptly lead us upstairs to the bar.After wiping down the bar table, she sat us down. We were greeted warmly by the bartender. We ordered the sushi combo and contemplated on sake. The bartender gave us samples of sake, which were all delicious. The sushi was fresh and delicious and service was spectacular.I would definitely come back here again. It's a bit pricey, but I think well worth it.

Megan Barron: The service was so poor we didn’t even get to the food. Showed up at 2:30 pm to a sign that said “Please Wait to be Seated.” We were yelled at from the counter and waved on to a table, even though there were multiple workers and few patrons at the time. We sat down and then a waitress came over at 2:32 to say they closed in 10 minutes and could do takeout, but the kitchen was already closed (not really sure how that would work??). We questioned their closing time since we were aware that they closed at 3:00 pm, but were still told that they close in 10 minutes. We’ve both worked in the restaurant industry and have never worked at a place that stopped offering food before they were actually closed (outside of a bar). Definitely won’t return for that service.

The food was very delicious and not fishy as I first thought it would be. The server was great, very professional, and courteous. We had the salmon avocado roll, Naruto roll, spider roll, and the Yoshi roll. All fantastic and very filling. The only issue I had was remembering how to use chopsticks correctly. A little out of practice. We had a party of 6 that night and just to let you know they automatically add 18% for a party of six. It was fair and you might want to go above the recommendation. It is worth it.

Midtown Sushi & Ramen is a must try for anyone who loves authentic ramen dishes or good sushi, and while it’s not in the name, the Donburi bowls are some of the best in town.I recommend the Hakata Ramen if you’re a fan of smoked meats! The pork belly really adds great smoky and fatty notes to the noodles.If pork isn’t your thing then the Spicy Midtown Ramen gives you the same base as the Hakata, but swaps the pork with shrimp and smoky flavor with a spicy broth!Which one is better is a toss up and is just one more reason to come back for a second visit.

Service tends to be very slow, but especially after your initial orders get it, including for drink refills. Definitely par for the course for an all you can eat place. Joshua Banta: Update: The smell is perhaps due to the cigar shop they share a front door with. Personally, I find this unbearable. And I smoke.I'm sorry but I have to post this, it is an honest review. Yes its cheap sushi. Yes they try. But seriously, this Clayton location smells aweful. They have an obvious sanitation issue, and need to focus on removing the smell. I would not have returned due to only this, but I was sad to also find they had impossibly aweful service. I was a lone diner and was ignored as a group was sat down in front of me and immediately served within 30 seconds, while I had sat there twittling my thumbs a long time before the others even arrived. My order was ready, on their fill-in card, and I was completely ignored as waters were brought and orders taken right in front of me. Incredibly rude and greedy, if stereotyping for tips is what happened. I found they didn't have a manager on duty, noone in charge. I find that discerning. They've lost my respect, through showing me a lack of respect and functionality. Its, whatevs, but don't be surprised if you have a similar experience.

Fried cheesecake...FABULOUS!I did later order take out.I ordered chicken fried rice no carrots with broccoli the Philadelphia fried roll. I didn't check my order which was a mistake. No broccoli & my gift card was charged twice however I only ordered 2 items. So double charged.3rd time I actually sat at the bar and the treatment when ordering my food definitely wasn't as kind as the 1st experience. The gentleman that had made my Philadelphia fried roll seemed to have a hell of an attitude issue but my waiter was fabulous.Overall, dine in is great, carry-out...CHECK your food before leaving and make sure your card wasn't charged for more than what you ordered.I'll return but dining in with family next time.

Arianna Courte: This was one of the most horrid food experiences I've had in Missouri.I'm from Chesterfield but moved away 10 years ago and brought my mother back to one of our favorite places, Wasabi.We sat at the bar as there was a wait for tables. We ordered and got the sushi on a platter. One of the rolls was wrong. I quickly told the server and she made movements with her hands as if she was looking for something to scoop the roll off of the platter and alas.. Ended up SCOOPING IT WITH HER DIRTY BARE HANDS.I am in absolute shock, being a restaurantuer... I didn't want to cause a scene in front of my mother. We immediately stopped eating and asked for the check as we were in a hurry.I contacted the restaurant over the phone, talked to the manager and they said they were going to send out some vouchers through email.I never got them. Here I am over a year later posting this review because they think they can email market to me without resolution for this horrid experience.

Steve Moses: Amazing sushi. Helpful staff and very clean. The food was incredible. This is not premade sushi. It’s the real deal made right on site, you can watch them as they roll a Sushi. There is an extensive menu and the ingredients are fresh.

Alan Davis: Was looking forward to eating here because at their old location I enjoyed the meal and my time there. This occasion was a disappointment. Had some people with me that weren't familiar with Japanese food so I wanted them to enjoy the venturing beyond their normal tastes. The food fell short of my hopes. I ordered Teriyaki beef and after one bite I stopped and declined it. I've roamed the West Coast and my experience with this dish has been a completely different taste than what I was served. The service was excellent - no complaints there but - that's my last venture to WS Bar.
