Sharonda Davenport: I had been wanting to try this place for a bit and it was meh at best. I ordered dumplings and a California roll. The Cali roll tasted odd. Almost as if it was old although they made it fresh. The dumplings were okay. The sauce was the saving grace. The house resiling had an odd taste. One of my friends found hair in their food, so that sort of ruined my appetite. The service was SUPER slow even though it wasn't busy. The wait staff barely let us speak before walking away from the table each time they approached with things like untensils or whatever. It was pretty rude honestly. I definitely won't be back.

The ramen I wanted off the menu was the Mizu ramen bowl which is their signature bowl but they didn't have it which was VERY DISAPPOINTING, how can you have something on the menu and don't have the item that matches the name of the restaurant. However I did order the chicken ramen and my husband had the shrimp ramen. Ramen was mid once again I had better at other places. The broth was spicy with slight favor but enough to complement the noodles. Almost like a scrambled egg instead of the normal egg you get with ramen. The beverage menu. My husband tried to order some type of bubble margarita which once again they didn't have. So the bill after everything ended up being 40 bucks with 18 percent gratuity included. I feel like 18 percent was a reach considering my waiter said she was bring me a refill on the water several times and I never got it until I was done with my meal. Overall this place is MID. Probably wouldn't pick this place by choice again. The place isn't bad, just you can pick a better spot to eat than this place. Ronda Davenport: Came with a group for girl's night out and the service was extremely slow. Although I'm fairly certain there was only one server. The food was okay. I ordered gyoza, California roll and spring rolls. The spring rolls were the best part of the meal. Very crispy and well made. The sweet dipping sauce was a perfect pairing. The dumplings were good as well. The sushi was okay. The imitation crab was not great. Not to mention one person at my table had hair in her food. A couple of orders were wrong. If you're looking for a place with fast, dependable service, this is definitely not the place to go. And hopefully your dish doesn't have hair 🤷🏿‍♀️

We waited for almost an hour and a half to get our food. We waited more than 30 min to get sprite. The roll was very salty. There was so little rice in my poke bowl that it took a while for me to find the rice in it. JUST AVOID. This is the first time I ever left a review for a restaurant.

It has a more expansive menu and fresher ingredients more artistically presented than other restaurants.There is a Sunday special of a discount off the second meal purchased.The service is always spectacular. We like Rachel as our server. She remembers our drinks and knows that I eat a lot of ginger and wasabi.I have a shellfish allergy and they have no problem keeping my order separate from others.Sushi favorites include: tuna, salmon, mackerel, spicy tuna, mountain and Alaskan rolls. We also like the miso soup, salad, crab Rangoon (wife), vegetable tempura, gyoza, and yakitori.Pro-tip Park across the street at the schnucks lot. chintot: Fair for a place like St. Louis. The dinner option 2 of $24 for 3 maki rolls, 4 sushi and a starter - is not a bad deal. I tried the St. Louis roll deep-fried option and it cooked the sushi inside. I didn't expect that. I was expecting it to be like friend tempura ice cream where the ice cream inside is still ice cream and not melted. So I'm disappointed about that. But the server was attentive so that's a plus.

Megan Barron: The service was so poor we didn’t even get to the food. Showed up at 2:30 pm to a sign that said “Please Wait to be Seated.” We were yelled at from the counter and waved on to a table, even though there were multiple workers and few patrons at the time. We sat down and then a waitress came over at 2:32 to say they closed in 10 minutes and could do takeout, but the kitchen was already closed (not really sure how that would work??). We questioned their closing time since we were aware that they closed at 3:00 pm, but were still told that they close in 10 minutes. We’ve both worked in the restaurant industry and have never worked at a place that stopped offering food before they were actually closed (outside of a bar). Definitely won’t return for that service.

Kevin Hacker (Khacker): This was the first time I dined here. We celebrated a late Mother's Day dinner since our son was out of the country. The food was very delicious and not fishy as I first thought it would be. The server was great, very professional, and courteous. We had the salmon avocado roll, Naruto roll, spider roll, and the Yoshi roll. All fantastic and very filling. The only issue I had was remembering how to use chopsticks correctly. A little out of practice. We had a party of 6 that night and just to let you know they automatically add 18% for a party of six. It was fair and you might want to go above the recommendation. It is worth it.

Ramen broth should be salty (its meant to flavor noodles and not sipped like a soup by itself. (Katsukare) Curry was tasty but could also use a bit more salt. The cream cheese on the roll tastes as if it were sitting out all day, and the portion size of meat in the rolls were scarce. Me and several customers stood and watched how the staff treated the host who is on the spectrum (mentally disabled) they were mean to him, ignored him when he asked them questions, made annoyed faces at him and more! They made me feel so angry and 2 different diners left because they didn't want to be seated in the areas of the rude staff. I did reach out to the manager and I pray he fixes this.

We were excited about the food since we were starving and the wait time and high prices had our hopes up for a good meal. We were in for an unpleasant surprise. First they didn’t have enough clean silverware so the server finally brought us a fork each by cleaning it himself( kudos to him for that!). The rolls were below average and you could tell they were just rushing to make them to meet demand. We had one of their most popular entrees as well which also was a 5/10 at best. My wife and I get Japanese in every city we visit. This was a great disappointment.Only plus is that they open late and that’s probably how they get business.

Cody Cummings: I dropped by Drunken Fish to grab some lunch with my wife while walking around the neighborhood, and it was pretty good. The presentation of the dishes was what you would expect from a sushi restaurant in the Central West End, and the prices follow suit. Not overly expensive, but some of the more basic rolls are a little pricey for what you get. That being said, I wouldn’t go to Drunken Fish for cheap sushi, I would go for nicer more unique rolls and dishes. The service was really nice, and the ambiance was casual but classy. I’ll be happy to come back by for dinner some time.

Upon requesting to sit at the bar, she confirmed with the bar, and promptly lead us upstairs to the bar.After wiping down the bar table, she sat us down. We were greeted warmly by the bartender. We ordered the sushi combo and contemplated on sake. The bartender gave us samples of sake, which were all delicious. The sushi was fresh and delicious and service was spectacular.I would definitely come back here again. It's a bit pricey, but I think well worth it.

Jeffrey: I love the sushi at this place!! Pui, the owner, is amazing and remembers her customers. I love sitting out on the side of the street, watching traffic pass by, hopefully they put the tables and chairs back in the front. The back patio is loud and hot so I avoid that. I enjoy the nice counters in the restaurant, but those are starting to get cramped with different items as well.I have tried to use the soy sauce dispensers, which are actually pancake syrup dispensers, and they spill a bit more than you want, so be careful with those. The bathrooms are not very clean, but they smell decent. The place is small but awesome. I love the small cafe style atmosphere in Sushi Station. Keep up the good work!!!Update 2023.This place has grown into one of the best, if not the best, sushi place in the metro St. Louis area. They have outdoor seating and recently built a covered patio in the back. If you, go early and expect a wait. The sushi is top notch and the hectic environment is sort of fun to watch. Better soy sauce dispensers (chalk the previous dispensers up to a novel idea that didn't work).The bathrooms have been rehabbed and are pretty decent. Seriously though, great sushi. The team at sushi station are doing it right.

Lauren S: We have ordered from here many times before. The last time they forgot large portion of our order and we found out after we got home. When we called to have it rectified, after having to send a screen shot of the order and having them review it, we were told that a credit would be placed under our name for the next time we order. Well we tried to order again. When we called we were told they would have to get a manager and would call us back in 10 minutes. 50 minutes later when we called again they said there wasn’t a manager available and they would call us back in 5 minutes. 20 minutes after that a manager did call us back and had us send more screen shots of our previous order and then told us they had no record of our previous conversation and that the time between our last order was too far in the past. After 1.5 hrs back and forth on the phone I asked if they were going to honor this credit and it became obvious they were not going to. I will definitely go elsewhere in the future.

Rick Knight: Two friends and I decided to come here for lunch today around 12:00.We were seated, got our beverages and informed the manager that one of us was on a special diet till May and brought his food but that the other two would be ordering. We were quickly told we could not do that and that we would have to leave. It didn’t matter that our lunch bill would of probably been about a hundred dollars, and that she only had 1 other seated table during the height of the afternoon. She was very unfriendly. Looking at the other reviews on here, I see other patrons complaining about the unfriendly service. Not to mention, we are part of a dinner group that could of brought her a lot of business. In todays small business market, I suspect unless she makes some changes to adapt to todays patrons needs, she will have a hard time ahead.
