St. Louis Children’s Specialty Care Center: what do users think?
Ang Robinson: Don’t let these people transition your kids. It is not a doctor’s job to “affirm” your child’s mental illness. They literally just want your money. I’m living proof.
Heather Hopper: Place is a rip off. Don't take you child here. 6,500.00 for a hearing test. I was referred here by my kids pediatrician.
Meghan Raab: BJC is absolutely the worst hospital affiliate in St Louis area. And be weary when it's a location partnered with WASHU, you get 2 bills for BOTH affiliations. Sadly, this includes Children's Specialty Center. They even penalize you for paying medical bills EARLY that are on a payment plan and threaten collections if not on a specific date. Even when trying to pay if off faster. The staff we worked with at the specialty center were wonderful, but with the cluster of billing and money hungry of this place, we will not ever use again
Mary Morrow: I would encourage anyone receiving services through the Washington University Physicians Outpatient Clinic make sure their benefits are clearly explained before any procedures are done. We received a bill in the mail for $945 for an echocardiogram that took an ultrasound tech less than 10 minutes to complete. The front desk took a $75 co-pay from us at the time of the appointment so we assumed that was all we owed. When I called the Billing Department I was essentially told it was not their responsibility to relay costs of services to their patients. This is poor practice and a clear indication of what these large medical offices truly value ($$). It was never indicated to us that the test would not be covered by insurance nor that it would be this costly. Judging by the reviews on this page, it seems others have had similar issues. We will ask our pediatrician to refer us elsewhere for future testing.
Navneet: Nice doctors and staff and our experience was good during our visit. But when it comes to billing, I felt it is not transparent and their prices are not justifiable. I received a first bill of $220 which I thought is ok considering a specialist visit and some xrays. But they again sent me another bill from BJC costing $768 just for the xrays. After 1 more month I got another bill of $116 just to analyze the xrays. Wouldn't the specialist who had checked my kid analyzed the xrays and already billed us in the first place? Why there was a need for someone else to check it again and bill us? Tomorrow a 3rd person will randomly check our xray report and send us one more bill of their choice? I believe this is not a fair process. I am afraid there will be another bill of some other random charges tomorrow!! Total $1105 after insurance discounts just for a 30 mins specialist visit to check the toe/knee which comes out normal without any follow-up sessions or medicines. Please be aware of them and get the charges and understand the insurance and billing well before you go there. Would not recommend to anyone due to their billing process.
Tina K: My grandson recently had surgery here and I've never been happier with the nurses and doctor. There is no doubt these men and women care about the children they treat.
Amy “GlitterZ” Powell: Another joke of a hospital. Stopped at the entrance because of masks. Was told that they are still forcing masks. When I asked why I was told it's their policy.Infringing on people's rights isn't Healthcare, its tyranny. No, we didn't comply and happily walked back out.
Kendall Hoover: We had to wait so long for blood work
Ries Hoover: My son had blood work done today and the the lady took so long to find his vain. I felt like she was under experienced.
Josiah LoRusso: Don't trust their billing or pre-approval process with insurance. Always double check with your insurance regardless of what they tell you because they won't stand behind what they tell you especially misleading statements
Gabriel Lyonsens: Very nice doctors and nurses. I had my first surgery here! Not much pain at all! I was well taken care of, and now I'm in good shape. Thank you for your service and I would be willing to come back here If I need to.
Abby gaudette: literally said my appointment was at 5:15am and to get there at 4:45 and there wasn’t a single person there
Elena Garcia: Bien
Jenna Pearson: I had to come here for Pediatric Orthopedics. The ladies up front were so kind and helpful. My little one was being very independent that particular day and they were nothing but understanding and helpful. I was scheduled quickly and pleasantlyI was also amazed by how quickly we were seen, I think between check in, xrays, and speaking with the doctor we waited all of 10 minutes. I had to finish all my paperwork after the appointment because there was no downtimeThe nurse was super nice and took the time to listen to the whole story and all my concerns and made sure that we were taken care of. We had a slight problem with some documents and we made it happenThe X-ray lady was also so awesome my daughter had some reservations about the machine but they were patient and so kind you can tell they really care about kids. The provider went above and beyond she was just so nice and took the time to explain things. My husband and I were also feeling really bad our child got hurt and we were reassured through the whole process as well. I feel like we were treated so kindly and she took the time to work with my little one and make her feel comfortable. I hope I never have to come back but if I do I’ll certainly come here!
Erika Brynildsen: The facility was very clean and nice. The staff was AMAZING and so knowledgable on how to work with kiddos. My 6 year old son just had eye surgery and they helped him feel so comfortable. I highly recommend this building and staff!
Daniel Webber: The physicians are great but the facilities billing rate through BJC is quite high for an outpatient faculty.
Meia Jackson: We had a horrible experience we have been trying to get my child in to see Mary Epperson not knowing there are now several locations we went to the wrong location but still made it to the correct one the Doctor wouldn't even come out of her office we were 2minutes past here grace period I just think it's sad when we were given the wrong address in the beginning I guess I was just expecting a little compassion in the end but even these pediatricians don't care.
lisa Merrick: Kids are seen quickly. But the level of care my daughter and I receive when we visited was very disappointing. My daughter was questioned with her issues, she is a 10 year old and then I was questioned with her health concern . I felt I was questioned more so than being provided with a solution for my child…unless it was life or death situation the care was minimal.
Brian Beedie: Covid crazy! 5 nurses standing at the door telling people they can't walk through the front door when someone else is walking in or out. BUT, in the meantime, they are making several people stand by them for periods of time. Nuts.
Neha Tribble: We have been there a few times for our son and daughters visit and they were always nice. We had to do blood work for our newborn and the nurse was gentle and funny. Our pediatrician is most wonderful doctor, she is very kind and knowledgeable.
Angela Scism: The doctors are wonderful. My son sees them for the wound care. They treated him with respect and compassion

St. Louis Children's Hospital: what do users think?
A Reising: Always exceptional care. For our kids we always bring them straight here in case of an emergency. Also had multiple surgeries taken place here. All staff and doctors have all been amazing, kind and great towards the kids.Lovely facilities with a great Cafe, gift shop and sibling room. Fish tanks, bright and cheerful pictures around that the kids enjoy
Janae Norman: The staff at children's hospital are amazing!!! We had a wonderful experience and our family thanks you so much!
Chasity Gwinn: This hospital is truly outstanding. They basically saved my daughter’s life and gave her more quality. They are supportive and wonderful.
Samantha Cantrell: Our nurse Todd, was amazing. All of the nurses during the "morning shift" were great! They deserve ALL the praise! You could definitely tell, there was a shift change. I was not impressed with the evening shift nurse. ( I don't remember his name) He totally dismissed my son's request for something for pain. I had to ask 2 different doctors if my son could have some tylenol or ibuprofen.I do love this hospital. The night shift nurse is my only complaint.
Jacob Phillips: Great hospital and amazing medical care !
Jessica Larson: We are so grateful for the cardiology team and Dr. Dillon and his team. They have all answered any questions we might have about surgeries for our daughter, we are just glad to be at this hospital having the best care for our daughter.
Kara Smith: My son started going to this hospital for brain cancer when he was 15, every single staff member from Doctor to housekeeper both surgical stays that we have been there were amazing every single time we visit for an MRI every single person is amazing they're understanding they treat my son like an adult like it's his cancer because it is to talk to him they discuss it with me too but they know it's his choice and they're okay with that and that's one of the best things that I can think of when it comes to living a life with cancer. And being a parent of a child with cancer I could never ask for better people to take care of my son whether it's cleaning the room bringing him food or just his overall care the team at St Louis children's hospital is the best that there's ever been. If you have a sick kid I I would take them here.
Jere Gettle: We’ve had three of our children as patients here, and two of them for surgeries, world-class service, and compassionate care!
Артур Руденко: Спасибо что помогаете мне
Ebony Wright: It's a good hospital I like bringing my son I have to bring him every Thursday and Tuesday the physical therapist on Thursdays in the morning or really good with him he and she understands me and all that and stuff like that and she be glad to see my son and the lady on Tuesdays does too for his legs they r very nice
Denise Deck: The best staff i have every encountered!
Isaac Smith: Great hospital, Was here when I was 14 and they made my stay easier, they also have emotional support dogs 🐕.
Yolander Watson: My son was hit by a car Tuesday and children's took him in and took good care of him. They didn't hesitate and had surgery on him. Thank God for this hospital.
John Doyle: Very caring staff, nurses and doctors. Everyone is kind and loving, well trained and focused on doing the best for children. I am thoroughly impressed and blessed with the experience we have had.
Ali Donnenwerth: Absolutely abhorrent excuse for human beings who run their facility like a prison. They block you from leaving until they make the highest amount of money possible. If you assert your right to leave, they call CPS on you. The doctor I saw used false imprisonment and should be prosecuted.
Benjamin 123: We quit using this hospital years ago because of all the issues. Our doctor sent us there to the ER. Visit was fine till we got discharged. We have NEVER had a visit without some sort of issue! We were left scrambling with minutes to get a prescription transfered from their pharmacy to ours before their pharmacy closed and he would be without the meds he needed. Called to talk to the doctors who treated him for help and was sent to voicmail. NEVER trust health care.
Brianna Hicks: Wonderful hospital.I loved it when I was s patient there I'm 1986 and it's only gotten better.
Jacqueline Snider: The Emergency Department is a 5, Dr. David and Dr. McEnvoy are also 5's. They saved my granddaughters life on December 25, 2022; what a Christmas Miracle! The 6th, 8th and 12th, floor staff are also 5's!Thank you all for being more than healthcare provider's but loving and caring individuals. ❤️
Quatt: Only one star because it’s needed for post horrible.
DeAndrea Hammonds: Long wait times and rude nurses is all this place have you have doctor walking around facetimeing and talking on the phone while children are suffering as a father of two these guys are my last resort .If this hospital cares about their patients well they have a funny and disrespectful way of showing it
Ty Campbell: Barnes Jewish hospital is outstanding in its employees, although it could be more clean at times the staff compensate for that well. Bjc responds fast, and they took care of my family with respect, I've met so many new friends, thank you.

Select Specialty Hospital - Town and Country: what do users think?
Lauren Waffle: My cousin Dave was transferred to Select twice after he suffered a stroke, and the care he received was outstanding! The nursing staff and doctors were amazing! They were able to assess his needs and provide the care that he needed! His wife would call me and rave about the staff at Select!
Blake Marshall: If I had to live my nightmare again, I would gladly live it at this select location. I can’t speak on respiratory care, but I the wound care team here is beyond amazing. 4 stars for the nursing staff, but nobody is perfect. Traveling nurses can suck sometimes to be honest, but you’re going to get that at any hospital you go to in the world at this point. Gina, Teena and (another WC nurse I can’t remember her name) spent hours upon end ensuring that my significant other was taken care of properly and was comfortable throughout her rough time. The PT team consistently educated us everyday, which was awesome. The nurses Rhonda, Becky and Melanie might as well be your Allstate insurance policy. Your family member is in good hands with them. Ty and Emily on day shift were great Cna’s (I didn’t get to see much of the night shift)The biggest cons I have is overnight stays and proper care sometimes. Unless you’re family member is dying on the ventilator, you’re not staying. I had multiple instances where NG tubes weren’t hooked back up, alarms going off for unnecessary amounts of time, my s/o laying in the own stool that’s leaked hour of them for an unknown amount of time because visiting hours don’t start till 7am.You get out what you put into it. If you make time to care for your loved one, you’ll definitely have a better chance than if you’re barley seeing them. You can’t depend on nurses with a 4:1 (5:1) patient to nurse ratio to spend every second with your family member. The hospital itself id assume can change that ratio, but then they gotta pay out more money and who wants to do that. That’s where you as a family member come in.Its within a hospital so it’s helpful if you need procedures done. I visited 4 Acute Care facilities in the St. Louis area and this one best fitted out needs. They have only single person rooms, the longest visiting hours and a full cafeteria to accommodate most needs. I never would wish anyone to have to go to these types of facilities, but if they had to, I would recommend this place to them. A Huge Thank you to the good doctors, nurses and cna’s for the experience I gained while being there. They saved my girlfriends life.-Blake
kimberly nixon: Nice facility. The staff can make the experience terrible though. The manager Mary Davis is extremely RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, and THREATENING to certain people around her. Very unprofessional and should be looked into. Behavior like this ruins an entire facilities reputation. I wouldnt want people like this caring for my dog.
Jenny F: Stay far away. They said they had a virtual cardiologist. First of all that is nuts. Then when we wanted to talk to him and we were told he was out of town. Their salesman lied to us about everything- said we would have one nurse a week and they could handle my moms anxiety. They ignored her and let her panic with a high bp, high heart rate, and over 40 breaths per minute. All in her records. They damaged my mom beyond repair, had improper ventilator settings, ignored alarms going off when she was panicking nonstop for 6 days. My dad showed up and no nurses were to be seen anywhere with all kinds of alarms sounding. Then the nurse told him “Oh she always does that”. Please investigate this place. They caused my mom sepsis and didn’t even tell us. Almost a year later I found out. The pulmonologist was prescribing her heart medications. They forced us to go to only one hospital last March when icu bed capacity was at 80%. They promised to use her regular medications and have a psychiatrist see her. They did not and the psychiatrist did nothing to help her anxiety. We asked for another one and they ignored us. The last day I saw my mom alive was when she was there being loaded onto an ambulance because they were unable and unequipped to handle a person on a ventilator. My mom was a nurse and said the patients with the highest anxiety were the ones with lung issues. They should have immediately sent my mom back to the ICU because they made her suffer for six days and nights with likely improper ventilator settings (according to the ICU doctor since she had acidic blood). They refused to let my mom sit up. They had no empathy for us and treated us and my mom especially with no compassion. They are what I believe caused my mom to decline in her condition to a point of no return. Do not send anyone you love here. That was the last I saw my mom.By the way, they are NOT part of MO Bap. We were misled into thinking we could get her into MO Bap’s ICU if necessary, which did not happen.
Olivia Johnson: Took amazing care of my grandma during her stay! Staff was always so friendly and kind to my family!
tina brummet: My sister went to Select around her 3rd week of having been hospitalized for Covid, Feb-Mar 2021, with the help of Kathy Hahn @ Select. She was on the highest oxygen level allowed, intubation would have been next. My sister had a few other issues, in addition to her being unable to breathe, that the staff was able to help her with, especially Cindy on the respiratory team. I want to thank her for being straight up with my sister, pushing her to get past many hurdles, and getting her home, My sister is a covid long hauler, and has more therapy to go, but thanks to Select, she is home. Thank you ALL at Select. I know you all are tired, it's been a long year, but much love for you all and God Bless you and stay safe. ❤
Virginia Maher: I was at Select recovering from Covid. The nurses were all good, the facility was clean, the food wasnt 't bad, and they all acted with professionalism. Overall, my experience was good.
B H: Select took excellent care of my family member while at Select Hospital. She had great care and with working hard with therapy, she discharged to home with no oxygen and walking. I recommend this hospital to anyone who requires this level of care.
Angie Grott: Do not leave your loved one here! Missouri Baptist should be horrified to have this facility here. Meals missed, threatened by staff, call light not answered, no compassion, my mom's water was hidden from her in the closet! I could go on. Horrible experience 😪.
K Hahn: My Aunt was a patient at Select Town & Country recovering from Covid. She was in the hospital with Covid for nearly a month. She spent 2 weeks at Select. She received amazing care from the entire staff. The care provided was a multi team approach which provided her with a clear care plan for her recovery. Because of the incredible care she received from the staff, she discharged from Select to home with no oxygen. She received adequate physical & occupational therapy that allowed her enough strength to go home to continue getting stronger. Her case manager ensured she had everything needed to discharge home where home health will pick up monitoring her. The doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical & occupational therapists, nutritionist, case managers, nursing assistants, administrators and support staff all touched her and my family deeply with their care and compassion. My family cannot thank the entire staff at Select for providing excellent care during such a difficult, vulnerable time for her. She is giving the staff an air hug for taking such great care of her.
Lynn Pate: The best advice I can offer is that if you or a loved one become a patient at this hospital, you must be prepared to be ASSERTIVE AND PERSISTENT in serving as an advocate for the best care. The care received with regard to wound care was EXCELLENT. However, that is where it stopped. The gastroenterologist wasted at least one month following a treatment plan that prolonged illness. There were several instances of miscommunication among doctors. Most of the nursing staff was helpful, but some were not up to date with how to handle colostomy care. They are understaffed, especially at night. Physical therapists were lacking in skills. Again, one must be assertive and persistent in demanding the best care.
Sixty one Scenic: The hosting hospital should be ashamed to have this place in their building. Low quality nurses and aides that are cold hearted, lack compassion, and do not have any respect for families. They allow patients to sit for hours instead of the two hours that are ordered. They do not turn patients as ordered either. And yess, patients sit in urine and stool. One star is too many. This place should be shut down. Charting is rigged, nurses and case managers do not tell the truth.
Jason Eastman: Our family has a tough journey on the road to recovery and Select excelled with their compassion and care which saved his life. The staff treated us like family and we stay in contact with some as friends. We were there eight months and Dr. Daud, Dr. Rudoi, respiratory, speech, occupational and physical therapy groups, nurses and aides provided excellent care and kept us in good spirits through this ordeal. Can't say enough about the excellent care we received and the hope it gave us toward recovery.
Katherine Pyatt: Can't say enough good things about this location. They took excellent care of my fiance! Because of the amazing team at Select, my fiance was able to walk again and breath on his own again. The therapy team is amazing, and meets the patients where they are. All the staff showed how much they care and truly like their jobs. The teamwork around there is something I've never seen before! If you have the option to come here for what ever reason it may be, please don't hesitate to pick this place! I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

Select Specialty Hospital - St. Louis: what do users think?
Tracy Wright: Great facility with awesome and compassionate staff. They took wonderful care of my dad during his time there.
Candice Reed: Select St. Charles is one of the best LTAC i have been to they helped me get into rehab and they treated me like i was their only paitent even though it's several paitents I love this place
Steve Freese: The staff here are absolutely incredible. The professionalism only scratches the surface of what this facility is about. The staff from doctors to the cleaning personnel are the most caring and have the utmost compassion for not only the patients but the families as well. Please let the staff see this post and let them know that they are very much appreciated and on behalf of my family we are so grateful for all of you. Let me also add the CEO comes around and talks to the families as well. It’s just amazing.
RENELL COUZART: What can I say about this place other than what an awesome staff! The Dr's on staff, the nurses, the respiratory staff are all concerned about the welfare and the healing of the patient. The CNA's who'll assist the patient in doing the things that the patient temporarily may not be able to do on their own are awesome. For this place truly cares about who they're caring for and frankly, if you're gonna be in a hospital for however long you're gonna be there you want the staff to sincerely care about you and this place gets it. Thank you St.Joseph Select!
Amanda McCutchen: Worst possible place you could ever let a family member go to. They nearly killed my Dad, we ended up having to have him moved back to icu after their lack of care for him. It took 3 phone calls and talk of getting an attorney before we were able to get him moved out of this facility! Please, do not let anyone you love be taken to this place.
Susan Frye: Clifton Frye from Gassville Arkansas sent to Specialty Select HospitalSt Charles Mo.I was sent here end of May 2018 from a hospital that gave up on me. With my stomach open and full of bowel, on a respirator, and 15 IV's. When I first got here the Dr's didn't think they could do anything for me, they don't get people like me they said. But with the professionalism of the Dr's, Nurses, and all the Staff, and the Grace of God, they managed to pull me through it all. I was told I would be a vegetable if I would survive. But Look at me Now. Many Thanks from the CEO, to the Dr's, Nurses, CMTs to Maintenance for not giving up on me!! In my Book You are ALL Angels from Heaven!! Just Look at me Now!! Thanks is Not Enough!!(((Hugs to you all, for saving my Life)))
Virgil Moore: When my wife was scheduled to go to a Select Specialty Hospital from ICU I went online and saw all these negative reviews and needless to say I was pretty concerned about putting my wife in there hands. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of choices for this type of hospital, which an issue in itself. However, other than a few issues which were addressed when we brought them up, we have been completely satisfied with the care she has received. Part of the problem I think people have is they have to realize that they are normally going from an ICU with 2 patients per nurse to normally 5-7 patients per nurse at one of these facilities. You also have to politely advocate for yourself and bring up issues that arise. Ours were addressed appropriately and I would recommend this facilty to anyone reading this review.
Joseph Allen: The standard of care here is piss poor. The nurses will not come if you call for help. If they do, it will be 45+ minutes later. They are not friendly, your personal belongings will be stolen, and you won’t even be given basic human rights. I recommend staying away from this hospital at all costs.
June Makina: One day in I realized I had come to the right place. Not only did they discuss what was needed for recovery, they did something about it. I had constant input from doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, therapy, case management regarding every aspect of my health and what it was gonna take to get me back on my feet. Most importantly the staff allowed me to move in directions that only I knew would help me recover and at a good pace. I'm less than a week home and getting closer to 100% by the day. Thank you all so much. You are all truly a God_send.
Greg Cain: The rate should be a negative 5 instead of 1. My uncle was at this facility for 3 weeks or so.. Before he had went to this Hospital he was at Good Sam in illinois they choosed this Hospital for him because they didn't want to do there job. I read the reviews online and it was horrific. I told my uncle this is not the place for you to go.. But the hospital was insistent on sending him to this facility. So anyway the first week he was doing better they was treating him doing there job. But I believe the only reason for that is because his wife stayed there for a week.. She leaves memorial day to visit her children.. The hospital calls states they have done all they could do for him.. The doctors told him he was to old for a lung transplant he was 62yrs old. We need to come a get him.. So the trip took about 1 1/2 hours to get to the hospital.. They called the wife soon as we crossed over the bridge from illinois to missouri stating he needs to stay for one more day because he was dehydrated.. How can you be dehydrated in the hospital. So I get to the hospital he has no ivs giving him fluids told him to drink water and have him pottasum pills.. I couldn't believe how terrible this Hospital is. So the next day I take him home he's gasping for air looking into his eyes you can tell he wasn't feeling well.. Soon as I got him home tried to make comfortable as possible for him.. My concerns for him grew.. The next morning his wife called I rushed over he was really weak I called the ambulance they took him to er.. They gave him 2 bags of the IVS he was extremely dehydrated.. He only been out of Select Specalty not even a day. So anyway the er doctor was really encouraging to my uncle all the lies Select had told him. She ease his mind. I wanted him to go to Barnes hospital once he recovered.. But later on that night my uncle passed.. I had autopsy done and been 5 weeks and I'm waiting for the results. Select Specalty Good Sam neglected my uncle. He was dehydrated lied to by doctors and the nurses didn't even bath him the whole time he was there.. He weight 265lb when he went to that hospital.. When died he was 213lbs.. I believe they need to under investigation.. No one should be treated like that.. They should be prosecuted for contribution to his death
Nicole Petty: My husband spent 2 visits at this facility over the past 6 months following a brain surgery. The therapists were amazing at finding things that stimulated him and getting him up and moving each day. They were incredibly patient and kind to him and our family! The nurses showed interest and investment in his care and the doctors did a great job of keeping us informed of any med changes and test results. The case worker along with therapists worked to see that he went to a facility that would best serve him after leaving! Every facility has its hiccups but my husband was in great care and has done better cognitively at this facility than any other to date!
Craig Johnson: Some of the nurses that take care of my mom at select specialty hospital and the respiratory therapist that i met some of them was pretty nice the nurses to are nice too! And the people are too!
Alex C: Hi,I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with Select Specialty and I will not discredit what you say but please allow me to tell you my personal experience on behalf of me, my loved one, and my family. Since the 1st day my loved one arrived here they have have been treated really well. Every medical facility is bound to have a few slackers but for the most part this hospital is pretty awesome. For my loved one's next step in their rehab program we hope to find a facility just as good as Select if not better but we know that will be hard to beat. I wanted to say something online so that people can know that they are doing a great work here. The majority of the workers here have made a huge difference in our lives. Without them our loved one's success so far hasn't been possible along with the Lord. I could sleep at night knowing my loved one was in pretty good hands at Select. Most of them genuinely care about the patients. Any slackers just aren't enough to bring their rapport down and if someone does mistreat/neglect a patient if reported to the Charge Nurse they will IMMEDIATELY reprimand that person and will not allow them to care for your loved one again per your request and comfortability. I could write a book but to sum it up I'll say thank u to the folks who are taking such great care of my loved one. I'm there everyday so I know what goes on and my loved one likes it there and loves the caretakers.
Karen G.: The absolute WORST hospital! Do not take your loved one there. The Clinical Liaison Jackie Graff says when your loved one is discharged from the referring hospital all of their IV fluids will be waiting on them for the transfer LIES! The staff doesn't answer call lights timely leaving you’re loved on to suffer. During shift change you can forget about pressing the call light as it won’t get answered for another 2 hours. Nurses always using the excuse that their phones died and they didn't get the page. Nurse or Clinical Partners will come in and clear the call lights without assisting and tell the patients they will be back (another hour). Always had to go to the nurses’ station or seek assistance in the halls for help. Upon discharge the caseworker Bonnie Jinkerson will refer your loved one to the worst rehab facilities. There are only a few decent staff members not enough to offset the bad! You must be present and be an advocate for your loved one at all times. My mother told me when I wasn't present a lot of the staff was mean to her and she was afraid. She said they handled her rough and they would not answer her calls. She cried and said they only came when my family and I were present.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital: what do users think?
Kristen Gettis: Worst hospital in the city. You might as well go to Touchette. My uncle has been in their care since March. They turned off his bed alarm let him fall and he needed surgery from the fall. No one cleaned his room until family requested. He nearly starved unless someone was there to hand feed him because the nurses would just leave the tray knowing he had limited no motor functions in his hands. Absolutely awful care.
mattymat1219: I would not be here today if it wasn't for the trauma team! I was just passing through on the highway driving and decided to get gas, apparently I was in St Louis. I ended up getting carjacked and run over two times on January 4th 2021! I had seven surgeries when I arrived in the er, John Doe for the first 5 days and I was in a coma for the first 3 weeks, 2 more surgeries when I got back home to Ma. Multiple screws and plates in my body now. If it wasn't for the excellent medical care I received. I have very few limitations and I am also back to work full time. Hospitalized for 4 months in St Louis, got back to Massachusetts on May 9th 2021, was out of work until November of 2021! Thank you and God bless this trauma team and staff
Jessica: My husband is a patient here for the last few days. The Case manager, or social worker, and doctors, have not contacted me at all the last few days of his admittance.I am his primary contact and is POA and AD and have not been contacted. It's frustrating that as the person to be notified, I'm not.I have not been given updates from the family member who was there because they refuse to give me any information.
Ricky Kodner: Worst ER I have ever had the displeasure to be in. We have been in the ER for 6 hours and still have not seen a doctor. One could die in one of these rooms, and I don't think they would notice.
Aaron Frazier: I want to Thank all of the staff! They made my stay more than comfortable, along with checking thoroughly into many different things! I would highly recommend this Facility to anyone!
Tambre Miller: Our family was recently there both in the ICU, and then on the 11th floor.. I have to say that we were extremely impressed with every staff member from the housekeeping crew, to the meal delivery crew, and every single member of the doctor and nursing staff. Everyone there was compassionate, informative, and 5- star helpful. Simply amazing
K Wright: Excellent staff!
Dennis Stone: Horrible two day experience with trying to schedule a procedure at a BJC Hospital, actually tried multiple hospitals. First call to BJC main number, the individual was not aware of "Central Scheduling." I asked to be transfered to BJC St Peters. I was transferred to an "clinic unaffiliated" with BJC. Central scheduling staff is poorly trained and unaware of what hospitals do what procedures. Gave up, called my Doctor's office, they had it scheduled at DePaul Hospital in 10 minutes.
Leslie Martinez: Rude!!!!!! Nurses are horrible yeah I get they are short staffed, but that doesn’t mean that they treat their current patients like they don’t matter. They were supposed to bring me my insulin with my breakfast instead I didn’t get it at all. I went to eat my lunch. They took my tray away because my blood sugar was high and they blamed it on me. I have bad veins, and instead of numbing me to find them, they chose to dig in my arms and hands. They act like they do not know what they’re doing.
Shannon Friet: Worst billing department ever. Never bills mo healthnet correctly. Got charged a hospital bill should have never gotten. Will never go here ever again. Going to the bjc in Central West end.
Harold V Metzger: Excellent care and staff
Stephanie Campbell: I had life saving surgery here. They are the best. The nursing staff is so caring, and loving to patient,& family.
C L: Do not go to this hospital unless you have a death wish!! Negligent doctors won't even bother trying to read or comprehend your medical history or test results before they perform a heart surgery that will kill you. When called out on their negligence they gaslight family members and continue to lie. Incompetent and cold-hearted nurses would rather ignore call buttons to sit around and chat about TV shows while their patients have oxygen levels below 80% and a pain level of 10/10 post surgery. They only got up off their butts after a trained nurse family member came to visit and made them aware they were allowing their patient to die. They must have really great malpractice insurance to still be in business!!!
Laura Ira: While it is a great hospital, I disagree with the mutilation of children and Transgendering them. I consider this as abuse. I will not seek care from a place that abuses and mutilates children before they are old enough to deside for themselves. Once Trans always on pharma. If 18 is the legal time to vote. 16 to drive. 21 to drink why oh why transgender the children.
Jennifer Mancuso: I'd like to give a shout out to the South campus information desk employees. I sat there for a bit on my computer and listen to their interactions. It truly made my day ❤️. They were beyond helpful to the public, and very positive and upbeat.
Jessica Welker: The doctors & nurses do not call or return calls about my mom. She’s stage 4 cancer and I have to find out everything going on with her through her. What if she can’t call me?? There has been several days that go by her phone is dead so I’m just Very upset. Other than that they are doing great with her.
Fred Harvey SR.: This place has no structure.
Tia Barkley: Really enjoyed all medical care that I had done here. The hospital is clean and everyone I came in contact with staff wise was very friendly and helpful. The quick response on Mychart really makes me feel comfortable when I am at home.
Roy Kidd: They took exceptional for my before during and after her surgery. They made sure everything was good before we left. Then when we got home some of the surgery stave called to check her. That empresed me.
Forgotten Missouri: I was in for 7 days dr. Pipcorn and all the nurses that took care of me are outstanding.
Renee Hudson: Very great stay five days for testing. The doctors and staff was great .

Kindred Hospital St. Louis: what do users think?
Cass Townsend: I wouldn't send my worse enemy to this facility. We were blatantly lied to when we asked about our loved ones status and medications. They were very nonchalant about the fact that LTAC is the last chance for these people to get off of these vents. These are people's lives you are dealing with! When our loved one was sent to Barnes ER and was admitted, I cried and thanked them profusely for keeping my loved one with them. This was a terrible experience, and I can't possibly write it all here. But please, if you are looking at LTAC facilities for your loved one, keep looking. They don't care one bit about these people.
Doug Wilson: The entire staff was awesome. Hope I never need to use the hospital again but if I did I would want to be there.
Hunny Gambino: I honestly don't know what to rate right now all I know is my mom is there on vent and trach and I already am feeling like I wanna vomit! I'm worried and if anything happens to her there I will flip. Mr Winston was very kind and the young man in physical therapy . Alyssa was also really sweet so far but nothing else . I can't sleep I'm worried sick
Krislyn Goodrich: A LOVING, KIND FAMILY ATMOSPHERE.My experience at Kindred Hospital was phenomenal overall. The food is fresh, a nice surprise for a hospital, especially when your stay is on the longer side. The nurses are personable. The wound care is great, I had many injuries still needing tending to day and night when I first got there, and they were more than able to do the wound care efficiently but also kept u with remembering the wound care as it changed and slowly diminished over the course of my visit. Dr. Ada is kind and listens, but is also funny and easy to talk to.Dr. Kris and Mr. Darrick along with the rest of the Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy teams are very careful and know just the right level to push you. They have a huge part in why I am able to continue my journey of healing in the right direction. They have given me the ability to learn what works for me in my healing.Overall, I can’t thank Kindred enough. My family and I spent a lot of time deciding where to send me for my continued care and I am confident we made the right decision in them.
Bunny B: Love this place they took really good care of my dad while he was there. Would recommend hands down..
Tamara Noubarian: The care I was giving it Kindred Hospital was amazing.
Kimberly Cornell: This is a wonderful place and the staff are great.
Jamesha Gaston: If you ever need a place to recover kindred is the place to go the staff are so kind & sweet you’ll love it 😉.
Shannon W: The people here took really good care of my and answered any questions i had while also being patient with u
Dayton White: Took very good care of my wife while she was here, most of the nursing staff is extremely awesome and very proficient care givers and very patient if the patient has difficulties with anything
Michael Desmond: It was a place I came to and knew nothinf about. I think they create a family atmosphere, so it doesn't feeel like an institution. They are effective. I lost nearly 28 pounds in water weight from my swollen legs. Overall Kindred is a very professional place. The staff know their job, and do it well. Rogaciano is very good. Derrick was very motivational and easy to work with. Fred is a fantastic individual that made me a free painting. Bob was very thoughtful, and came to see me a lot. Dr. Palepu and Dr. Munshi were very visible and good at explaining things. I got a kick out of Romanita. Sarah was very good. Alex kept me good company. Theresa has been around the track, she's very knowledgeable and resourceful; and she gets things done. Polly does her job very well.Even the directors came to see me often. I grew very close to many of the people here, and I was in no rush to leave.
Africa Doll: I love this hospital 🏥!. Location is everything! Thank you guys for loving my brother as I do!
Bobby Brookhart: If there was a way to give them zero stars or a negative star rating I would. My son was a patient there and recieved the worst care possible. They lied and dropped the ball repeatedly. The nurses are lazy for the most part tho there are a couple that did do there job . There one shining star is Mike in respitoary. If you don't have someone that can stay with the patient and watch after them don't take them here. It's a terrible place and should be shut down.
M S: Hung up on me while asking for medical help ten seconds after I called
Jess Branham: A couple years ago; First my father in law was there, he told us numerous times he would push his call light for help to the bathroom and it would take them over 2 hrs to get to him, then they'd tell him and us he needed depends, he told them he didn't need them, he just couldn't hold it that long. He was in a bad wreck and could take himself.THEN... just this yearMy dad was there and they just kept him medicated so they didn't have to deal with him. He wasn't being changed enough, he was supposed to be gotten up and put in a chair once a day, that didn't happen. he lost significant weight and he told me every time I talked to him that they didn't listen to anything he said. It seemed he never was bathed, they couldn't even wash his face daily. I wouldn't trust them with my worst enemy! If you love your family member and they need a lot of care, do NOT take them to Kindred in st louis! there are a couple good nurses, th others just give them whatever meds they can so they don't have to deal w them! They need better staff or shut down!Especially if they aren't in their right state of mind! But we have had experience with one family member that was in their right state of mind and one that wasn't, both received neglect!
Lucia M. Smithee: This is The Best place for your family or loved ones. The care here is above and beyond. They have the most consistent and kind people working here. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 all the way.
Al Edwards Sr.: Very pleasant place. It is nice and clean. The staff were very nice, and I’m pleasantly surprised with my progress because they got me off the vent/trache even though the previous hospital said I never would.
Accounting 4u: This hospital is the best and anyone that needs care should come here. They take really good care of you. They wash you as much as you want. They provide the medicine you need, and I really don't want to leave.
Jennifer Gardner: Please don't send your loved ones here especially if they are not able to speak for themselves and let you know the treatment they are receiving. My father was placed here on a ventilator. They quickly removed the trach and did not suction him causing him to go into cardiac arrest which he passed from. Please find another alternative instead of this place, it is a death trap and the staff is rude and negligent.
Greg Helton: They had men and women in the same room. Calling a nurse was like yelling in a canyon they didn't come. They are completely understaffed and the food was not edible. You lose all dignity if you go to this place. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there if I had any. In my opinion I would consider this place criminally negligent. There were a total of four good nurses that work there. The rest of them wasn't worth a dime.
Charles Shelton: Thanks for supporting Teens Of Tomorrow our young men appreciate any support that we can get from the community..

Shriners Children's St. Louis: what do users think?
Nessa Remy: The stuff and doctors are amazing they took good care of my son
chantel icks: Took my child to St. Louis for club foot. We had doctor Myers who is suppose to be at what he does. Well I have him a 2 star because although he explains things mostly well. He does not really listen to what the parents want for there child. I simply ask for him to sign off for the Cunningham brace that i will remind you if you do research it does the same thing but allows your child yo move there legs freely and he straight said no. I'm highly against BNB and will NOT put my child in that horrible thing. Dr. Myers do your dang research.
Christy Pace: It was a very clean and loving dr.shinger is amazing
Genisha Thomas: Back in the day when I needed Shriners they would get 5 stars....but certain things have changed over the years that I feel should have never changed. my kids now go here and it amazes me just how much certain things have changed. hopefully they bring back some of those perks they didn't feel was necessary because from a patient's point of view they were very necessary.
Kim Kalaher: What a wonderful thorough visit at Shriners. Every aspect of care completed in less than 3 hours. Also a beautiful facility.
Kelly Dunkeson: Sad experience. I will not be taking my grandson back. There are other facilities that can & will care for him appropriately.
Brenda Jo Henson Peters: My daughter, Amy Peters, grew up coming to Shriners in Kirkwood, MoI Thank God for these Wonderful, Talented People !
Jacklyn Bouillon: I have to take my daughter here and the people/doctors are so friendly. They definitely know what they're doing. I myself am a Shriners kid and I've never had a bad experience. I trust them and I'm happy to have such a great hospital. It's pretty neat that they let the children pick a toy when they leave.
Jim houseknecht: When my Sister was 13 years old she needed back surgery with a Herrington rod put in. My Mother, who was a single parent on a limited income, approached Shriners Hospital for help 🆘 They flat out denied my Sister to get assistance from them. It disgusts me to see expensive ads on TV puffing on how they help so many children. They turned my Sister, Ellen, away. Some residents of Columbia, Illinois took up a donation to help Mom pay for Ellen's surgery. You should be ashamed of yourself......... SHRINERS HOSPITAL 🏥 PRAISE GOD 🙏 FOR THE PEOPLE OF COLUMBIA, ILLINOIS!!!!!!!
Carly Bunnell: All staff were knowledgeable and very caring.
Magdaleno Urias castro: Los atienden bien alos pasientes
Holly Haase: Best hospital around. It is very clean and well maintained. The best part is the love you feel when you walk through the doors from everyone. My daughter thinks of them like family.
Leeanne Freeman: Best hospital ever they fixed my son's leg when another hospital said there was a 60% chance amputation dr Erick Gordon fixed it it's a great hospital everyone is nice and they treat you like family and they help so much when my son was hospitalized for over a month thank you shriners hospital for everything ❤❤❤❤❤
Adrianna Smith: Scoliosis surgery 9/19. Could not have asked for better doctors and nurses.
Saul Oceguera: I call to this hospital looking for some information about orthopedic they tell me they no taking kids this country call them self the best country of the world but the health care is the worst is pathetic hospital in personal
Angela Jackson: The doctor is good at fixing kids, but they have limited appointments and they say your appointment is 730 and don't actually see you until after 8. A scheduling nightmare for single parents.
Tanya Marker: Amazing doctors and staff.
Debora Honey: Staff, care and experience are all 5 stars! Amazing is so very accurate!
Lincoln Wilson: Children's Hospital
Vernester White: Great place for orthopedic services n more
Teresa Smith: She is At shriners Hospitals for
