Now it’s my appointment time about 10-15 min after I told her the front desk I’m leaving and she proceeded to tell me “ I told you she would be a minute”. “ it just 8 min pass”. “The tech is actually right here finishing another clients toes. No accountability! I asked why wouldn’t someone approach me after my appointment time to readdress that the tech will be another however many minute or so. Completely disappointed

Britteney Ofodile: Unfortunately, I have to give a lower rating due to the experience I had with front desk. My husband set up a nice day for me to relax, enjoy the spa and stay overnight. All was perfect until I was called at midnight by a front desk associate to settle my spa bill. The room was already prepaid and they had a card on file to charge all of the remaining fees from my husband. They attempted to charged the wrong card somehow and the charges declined so they called me at midnight during my overnight stay to settle the balance. This was beyond unacceptable because it was midnight, but also because they had full instructions on what card to charge upon my leaving but the front desk associate called treating me as if we weren't going to pay. It was frustrating and embarrassing because it prompted me to have to call my husband who was home with our toddler at midnight. Terrible experience when they had the proper card the entire time.

Erin Poettker: I booked a full day of services at the Four Seasons Spa to treat myself after a tough year: lavender dreams massage, diamond energy facial, and a classic mani/pedi. I utilized the $10 valet service, which I would recommend over self-parking (it might be cheaper for a full spa day). I was checked into the spa by a very pleasant woman who gave me a tour of the space. It is very clean and well kept, but a bit small, especially in the locker area. My massage was at 10am, and early into it some folks in the lounge area started getting really loud. I later found out there was a company holiday party at the spa (come on!). I asked my masseuse to go ask them to pipe down because it was ruining the relaxation that anyone would expect from a massage. She complied. However, they did not pipe down until about 10 minutes before the end of my 100-minute massage. It really ruined the experience for me. The massage itself was nice. It included a big chunk of time for exfoliation that I would have rather had for massaging, but it was fine. After the massage, I had some time for lunch, which they can bring to you from the on-site restaurant. I had three small tacos and a pineapple juice for close to $40. It was good, but overpriced (which is basically the theme of my whole day). After lunch I took a dip in the women's only hot tub, briefly tried out the 130 degree steam room (too hot for me!), and took a shower. At 1pm I had the facial with Alix and it was fantastic! I felt like I was finally starting to relax at this point and I really enjoyed the Natura Bisse products that were used. I was absolutely glowing once it was finished. At 2pm I had my mani/pedi, which was fine. I had a pleasant conversation with my nail tech while I drank a "free" mimosa. With tax and tip, I spent close to $1000 dollars on my spa day. I did receive 20% off of my massage due to the noise. Would I come back? Probably not anytime soon. I think the services are overpriced for what you get. You're paying for the brand name. The place was packed on a weekday during the holidays so it didn't really feel exclusive or special. I'd like to try out some other spas before I come back to the Four Seasons. Overall, the staff was great and the services were good, but everything was just way overpriced.

It's an occasional treat that I know I will meet my high expectations and not fail me. Every effort is made to make you feel catered to and comfortable. If you select the right massage and make it known you prefer a deep tissue service, you will get that. They try to customize the service as much as they can to the individual. The amenities are wonderful and despite the high luxury, I don't feel like the staff are pretentious or snobby.

We used the jacuzzi, got champagne , and lounged in the rest area. We WILL be back :) they also have complementary tea, water, and snacks!

Jennifer Nichole: I have been to this place three times. After my first massage I requested a specific person who when I got there the second time was “out of town”. I wasn’t even offered the common courtesy to receive a call, I was just thrown in with a different person. My third and last experience was the icing on the cake. As someone else has mentioned in their review, the lady at the front desk literally bullies you into paying a $20 tip. Very rude and uncomfortable and has caused me to seek out other businesses where I’m not being forcefully coerced into paying a $20 tip after every service. I want to feel relaxed after I pay for services rendered, not uncomfortable and disrespected. This completely soured my experience.

They charge you lower prices than a regular massage parlor, but then lightweight bully you for a big tip at the end. “Tip me $20 dollar” she says. I was going to give her $15, then the lady at the front desk.. says “ no you should give her $20!” I gave her the $20 because it felt like she was probably getting slave wages on the backend. The way she kept begging me was so sad. And for this place to be in a classy neighborhood and have that kind of business etiquette is crazy to me!

TIM HOFF: I estimate that I've probably had between 250 to 300 massages in my life because my back stays pretty messed up from sitting in an office chair for over 35 years now. Sunrise is my main place to go but I have a backup and I've been to other places around St. Louis. Yesterday Lili gave me one of the top 3 massages I've ever had. Massages aren't always pleasurable if you have back problems especially if you're already in pain when you get there. You can tell when someone knows what they're doing when they spend extra time on your problem area without you telling them where it is. This was not my first massage from her but it keeps getting better and better.

Please correct your booking websites. The facial completed 35 mins before the specified time of 75 mins. Coming to the service, it was disappointing. Nicole started her facial with lot of advertisements of additional services instead of focussing on actual service. Nicole just applied, removed and repeat. there was no massage, no blackhead removal and no finesse. Horrible and fake management.

Psycho_Cypher (Psycho_Cypher): You can have it all at this day spa. They offer manis/pedis, massages, and facials. With options to fit you lifestyle and budget. We did a combo of a facial and massage. All of the techs we interacted with did a fantastic job and made us feel relaxed. The only downside is it's on a busy road that you can sometimes here during your visit but I mostly forgot about it while being treated. One of the best places in town for a spa treatment.

Lynne Hart: We had to very excellent massages and the location is beautiful. Scheduling could be a bit better. After scheduling we were called and told they didn't have 2 separate rooms and they asked if we would mind to share a room. We were happy to accommodate, but then they wanted to charge us 30 extra dollars, which doesn't seem like the right way to do business when we are accommodating your needs. What they don't know is that I actually don't prefer to be in the same room, because my partner talks through the entire massage! So I am really making an accommodation for your convenience not mine and certainly not going to pay more when I'm accommodating you. After a bunch of fussing I was just about ready to cancel the whole thing when they decided to see if they could fit us in, and later that day they called to say that they were going to continue with the reservation as it was. When we arrived there didn't appear to be anybody else there, and we were put in a room together. Both are masseuses were fantastic and will definitely be back but are certainly confused about what is actually going on. We didn't actually see any individual rooms so I'm not sure how we would book massages individually at the same time in the future.

The amount of peace her massage brought to my life is priceless. All the staff are very approachable and the vibe was perfect. I will absolutely be back, very soon. Sarah McBride: Our experience at Secret Garden was fantastic. I highly recommend if you are looking for a quality massage and a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. My fiance and I had a couples massage together and it was the best massage I have had. Sara and Ivory made us feel so comfortable and at ease. My fiance has been very sore from intense workouts and he left our massage session feeling so much better. We loved the old fashioned feel and decor of the building. It felt very homey and we were at ease the entire time. We also added the additional hot tub soak and it was the perfect way to end the whole experience. I hope to be back if I'm ever near St Louis again!

My friend and I both had fantastic massages from Ashland- major props, the hot stones were an extra treat for us. Also had a lovely facial from Katie, who was great with checking in throughout the process. Would totally recommend the Garden Goddess package (or any massage/facial services) to anyone.

Ryli Aiken: We had such a wonderful time at secret garden spa! The staff were all kind and inviting. You come in and take off your shoes and hang up your coat and feel right at home. We booked the romantic couples massage and the room was perfect. I loved all of the flowers and plants that were in the spa. Will hopefully visit again in the future and would recommend this place to everyone.

Jazmyn Bias: I absolutely loved the ambiance of Secret Garden. Although there was no welcoming music, whether zen or ambience music, the static esthetic was still pleasing. My friend and I came on the day of my 32nd birthday. We got the Goddess Package which was a massage/facial package. Altogether, we paid a little over $500.00 including gratuity. The massage portion was great, however the Esthetician used over the counter products for a $200.00 facial. There was ZERO consultation on both ends. Neither practitioner did one, asked questions, asked about reservations or contraindications, etc. Neither asked what was bothering us, what products we use at home to make sure all is safe during a spa procedure, what we were looking for in this “Spa” experience. The Esthetician was on her phone DURING my “facial.” I happened to notice once I opened my eyes. They used Alexa throughout the room for music, but the manager stated she was on her phone to set up music … during the service. *Alexa is not ran through a phone.*If anyone is paying $200.00 for a service, all preparations need to be made. The practitioner needs to be on time, which they weren’t, music needs to be ready, which it wasn’t, and adequate products and care need to be made .. which it wasn’t. The manager gave a $25.00 discount because all of our services weren’t rendered, which we were appreciative for but for the price, I would most definitely go somewhere more sterile, accommodating, and thorough.

On my first visit, I was offered water in a floral teacup with a crunchy minty seed that had come FROM THEIR GARDEN which I think sums up the vibe of this place! Very cute and relaxing. I've received a massage from Debbie that was so relaxing I felt like I was melting into the table after it was over and bah gawd the will it took to leave. I also got a massage from Leah which was the BEST massage I've ever had for my knots. I still think about that massage! I visit St Louis only occasionally but I plan to see Leah every time I do. Also all of the massage therapists here I've talked to (and I talk A LOT) have been so friendly, welcoming, and open to conversation! Great vibes, great people, and great massages :)

My neck and upper back are my problem spots and she took extra time and care to make sure that all the tension was released.I think this is the first time I will be going to bed without pain in a long time! Nate Burrows: Incredible place with passionate and caring staff. I work 40+ hours on my feet and my masseuse (prob spelled wrong!) Natasha undid every knot in my neck, back, legs and feet. I did an hour deep tissue and feel asleep twice it was incredible. Best massage I've ever gotten and in a real cool building. (It's called "Secret Garden" so be ready to search for it as it's kinda tucked away across the street from a brewery)

Grace Grant: Wow! This place is absolutely amazing. A true hole in wall, literally and figuratively. You walk through an iron gate to a garden oasis. The decor, layout and vibe of this property is stunning. I want to convert my own home into something like this. We recieved the most relaxing massages, infused water, sangria, rose petals, all the works. Lavender gave me my massage and I will definitely be back. The best couples massage we have ever had. 😍
