On Tuesday, the tow truck took the car because the owner of the lot never paid for the car to the lot where it belonged. They never provided the title. They don't call him. Every time we call they give us different stories and they don't solve anything for us. I just called and spoke with the manager named Blake and he literally hung up on me

Duane Furner: Looked at a Buick Enclave on Saturday and test drove the car. Heard noises in the front end so the dealership offered to take it in and have it diagnosed and repaired. They then told me that they would sell the car for $10k and would contact me on Monday with an update. On Tuesday I had to reach out to Rafferty Automotive to inquire about the car. They now say they won’t honor the agreement on Saturday, the price has gone up $500. This place is shady. I will buy from somewhere else.Edit: Owners response is a fabrication. I was not contacted by Rafferty a single time. AND the offer came from the salesman, not me. I simply said “what’s the best you can do?” and he came back with $10k. It was never said that it had to be run through the GM.

Brandon Gates: I've been going to them for routine maintenance for a while now. The last time I got my tires rotated, a few days later my hub cap comes off while I was driving. When I call to get it replaced they refused and said I'd have to pay for it myself. Also, the guy in the service department was so rude. I wasn't even angry at them because we're all human and it was just a mistake. I've been going there ever since I moved to St. Louis but if this how they do business when dealing with a loyal customer, I think I'll find another place to have my car serviced.

Richard Stack: After a lot of searching and discussion with local, semi-local and major market Toyota dealers we were fortunate to find Ackerman Toyota and specifically Ryan O'Leary, our Sales person. From the very first communication Ryan was positive that they would be able to secure the Tacoma that we were looking for. We built the Tacoma on the Toyota website and emailed Ryan the build. He transcribed the build to a Buyers Order and we put down a deposit. He advised it would be 1.5 - 3 months to hear back from Toyota. Approximately 2.5 months later Ryan informed us Toyota was making a production run of the truck that we were ordering. Three days later Ryan notified us his Manager was able to secure the truck and advised us a estimated build date. He even sent us a copy of the window sticker. Ryan advised us when the truck was waiting to be loaded on a train and when the status changed to "in final transit to dealership" The point of this long story is that Ryan is a very professional communicator. He answers all questions on a timely basis and does not tire of questions. Without a doubt he is the top Salesperson we have ever dealt with. I called to ask about a key fob I was supposed to be getting 2 months ago and he was getting very defensive when he felt like he was being criticized. Gave me constructive feedback about them “not having the key fobs yet” when I only wanted to know when I will be receiving it. very unprofessional. Never was willing to address the situation in a respectful manner way.

Victor Pirsoul: Pretty good buying experience here. Ray Trout was the salesperson I worked with. No complaints there. However, the finance manager wasn’t as good of an experience as he lied about what was included on the extended warranty and he charged me a $6 fee that I did not agree to when I negotiated the price with Ray. Also, and this is why they’ve lost my business, the service department is abysmal. They do not stand behind the work they perform despite the fact that an authorized Toyota technician installed a genuine Toyota part on my new vehicle (which is supposed to be guaranteed for 12 months and it’s only been 4 months). In my honest opinion, the “Ackerman for life” warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. Ackerman also offers one free oil change per year for the life of the vehicle but I don’t know if I can trust their service department after my initial experience. Ok to buy here but I would not recommend their service department.
Rachel Blow: EDIT 4/19/23: Ryan has reached out to explain that he does not in fact receive commission by selling the protecting coating add-on -- he just thinks it is a great option and that's why he encourages his customers to purchase it. I misinterpreted the interaction and I was not fair to him in my original review. He is very dedicated to customer satisfaction and was always reachable/responsive during the whole process. All in all, he sold me a fantastic car (at MSRP) that I absolutely love.__________________________Bought a car here a few months ago. Salesman (think his name was Ryan) was super pushy trying to get me to add a bunch of unnecessary things to the car, like a ridiculously overpriced paint coating or something. He even tried to go above my head and tell my dad to convince me to purchase these unnecessary add-ons…which definitely crosses the line. He must get a big commission check if he pushes this stuff. They also put an ugly decal on my car without my permission. Find some other way to advertise and leave me out of it!

We called every day for a week and was assured as soon as it was done being inspected they would call us to come look/purchase it. We told them that we wanted to purchase it and we’re going to pay cash for it. Today we waited around in hopes they would call us. We noticed that it wasn’t listed online anymore, so we called and were told that they already sold it. Not very good customer service if you ask me.

Later Pete basically refused to cover the cost so I paid $140 for an oil change after giving these people $7000 cash! This leads me to believe they didn’t do any basic maintenance on the car or bother to check for issues before they sold it. I’m praying nothing major pops up.2. When I test drove my car the navigation/radio was not working. Neither was the trunk opening manually. I was promised that they would order the piece and the car would be serviced ASAP. A simple job that would only take an hr or so. Another lie. Close to two weeks of having my car and still no radio/navigation screen. I finally drop my car off. My car sat there for 6 hrs for them not to do anything. My trunk needed a part. They said they would have to order a piece for it. Ok fine. My issue is that they refused to fix my radio that day when that was the whole point of me dropping my car off! They don’t want to fix it until they do the trunk. So now I will probably be driving around at least another week with my car not functioning as it should. Do you think affordable auto has checked in to see how my experience was with the auto shop they sent me to? NO!3. Car came with a safety test but no emissions. I had to pay for an emission test and it was an inconvenience that it didn’t come with one.4. Over all I’ve had to call and email these people way too much. Getting the car was an easy process and they do respond when I reach out but the last 2 weeks have been a hassle and now I have some anxiety with my purchase. I won’t be recommending them to anyone.

Shaun Thomas: Horrible experience with new car salesman named STEVE. He blew me off and was very slow to respond to messages. He clearly didn't take me seriously and didn't want to work. Rather than spend time taking down info and actually working, he kept pushing me to sell my 21 month old 1 owner / no accident X5 to Carmax or Carvana. He was just too busy to spend time on this deal and refused my multiple requests to let me work with a different sales person. Do yourself a favor and get a better BMW buying experience by working with a dealership and sales person that actually spend time to work with you.
P SC: Autohaus is a classic example of a big dealership looking to grab any money they possibly can through the service department. It was also clear that my car was taken for a bit of a joy ride during a service appointment (the car was left in the most aggressive setting of "sport plus" when I picked it up, which I've never used). To elaborate on service: to have a check engine light code read is $100 right off the bat, because they want to charge you to use the special computer that is specifically made to be the only one that can read new BMW's fault codes. I took my car to an independent shop that had the computer and had the code read for free so that I could determine whether or not getting the work done would be absolutely necessary/urgent. Sure enough it was not urgent. There are some service reps that are great to work with and the building itself is a fine place to wait, which is a good thing because of how long it can take to even see a service rep let alone get your car back.

From the time showing up to finishing the paperwork, it was maybe 30 minutes. Finally, DeAnna G., the BMW Genius, walked me through the car's nitty gritty details. She made me feel comfortable, laughed at my dumb jokes, and was simply a pleasure.

Jolene Johnston, SHRM-CP: Overall sales and financing experience was easy and pretty painless.My only complaint was that my car door was slammed into a pillar while in the showroom area, by an employee. The dealership is covering the repairs, which should be expected. But it was a horrible accident that just makes you sick to your stomach. Not to mention the hassle of dealing with scheduling estimates and taking time off of work to deal with the repairs. You literally purchase a brand new vehicle and before you can even get it out of the dealership this happens.I will happily come back and give a better rating once the repairs are completed (which we are not looking until late June). I’m assuming these accidents are rare, but it has put a negative experience on the entire purchase.
