Just Sew Machine Repair: what do users think?
Vlasta Holder: I couldn't leave my machine in store for a long time. No problem, sad repairman Will . He explained to me what they have to do and how much work it is. Then he told me that in my situation, it is probably just just not lubricated . It was. At home, I took my machine apart ,gave good lubrication, and thanks to repairman Will ,his explaining and his being so nice to old lady, machine works like a new. ( I have to say,I'm pretty handy, but without this place, i will stay without my sewing machine!)Best place! Best people! Good workers! And between what theres customers are saying, this is " The best placewhere to come,if u have a problems. "
Roxann Aubuchon: We took my 50 year old singer and with a good cleaning and small repair it worked great.
D. Gomez: I have had sewing machine repaired here in the past and received excellent service. Knowledgeable on different kinds of sewing machine. Sorry don't have a photo at this time.
Sheeran Nareehs: I brought in my pinking shears to be sharpened. They were bought used so really wonky. It took him a little extra time but he didn't stop working on them until he found a fix!He was nice and professional, I will definitely be back and definitely recommend!
felix cat: Great service, quick, quality
M Lower: I brought a very old sewing machine to the shop today that I have used for many projects. I was greeted by a wonderful young man armed with knowledge and respect!! He had it humming in less that 30 minutes!! I would recommend him in a heartbeat!! He did a great job!!
Crystal Payne: Brought in a Singer machine today. Thought it was a problem with the bobbin and finds out it was the needle position and my threading. Will troubleshot and fixed the problem for n less than 10 min. Very nice and knowledgeable. So glad I found this place.
MIchael Baggett: Will is a great guy, very knowledgeable, and ready to fix your equipment.
catherine moore: Positive:Quality
haley kay: Very reasonable repair prices! Greatly appreciated!
Rick Boalbey: We took in my wife's great-grandmother's 1925 Singer. Will did a great job of refurbishing and even taught us how to use it.
Gail Schafluetzel: Very professional and fixed my "old" sewing machine on the spot. None of this $100 and we will call you next week with the REAL price like Fenton Sew & Vac! I am soooo happy I found this repair shop! I would recommend this to anyone wanting sewing machine repairs!

Heyde Sewing Machine Co.: what do users think?
Tom Bauer: Great experience and I am just starting looking for a new machine
Lynda Lorenz: I finally did it! I finally stopped at the store and I love it. I live over an hour away and have wanted to stop by here for quite some time. We do not have stores like this in my area, so it was definitely and great connection. The sales rep I spoke with was most helpful and friendly; she showed me around, showed me patterns, told me about classes and answered my questions. I look forward to getting to know her and to taking some future classes. Thank you for a terrific first experience, surely not to be my last.
Andrea R.: I have been a customer of heyde sewing for over 10 years. Every machine I have bought has come from them. I have always been beyond pleased with their service. The ladies at the front are the sweetest ever always smiling and ready to answer any of my questions. I highly recommend heyde sewing.
Jeanne Watkins: Took my machine into the shop for embroidery repair. It was there a month. Called me to say it was fixed. I picked it up. It WAS NOT REPAIRED!!!Took it back!! It has been there 6 MONTHS!!! They said the feed dogs weren’t working—-I didn’t take it in for that!!! That part was working fine!!NO COMMUNICATION from them!!!I’ve called and visited several times! Nope still waiting on the part!! This week I went in again, technician admitted he’d forgotten about it. Part was in he said he’d call me by the end of the week!Well, I got an email that it was ready!!! An email—not even the curtesy to call me after 6 months!!!!I purchased this machine from them several years ago but I will never go back!!When I pickup my machine will be the LAST time I walk into that store!! The owner is arrogant. This is no way to run a business !! They big but there are much nicer people to deal with other places!! BOO to Hejde!!!
Maureen Walsh: I bought my first sewing machine, a Riccar, over 40 years from Mr. Heyde at the first Heyde sewing machine store on South Lindbergh.I used that machine for years until I bought a Brother sewing-embroidery machine from Heyde. I now live in Iowa but I still use that machine and have had it serviced at the "new" store and at 30 years old it still sews beautifully. I just bought an old Brother for my granddaughter and will be bringing it in for cleaning and servicing so that she can begin a love of sewing like I do.
Vickie Clubb: I have found it a bit difficult to get waited on even when there are no other customers. You have to ask for assistance. They have a beautiful fabric selection but not nearly enough quilts displayed. They seem to only care about the embroidery customers ,and forget there is an entire market that does not do embroidery quilts, but other types of quilting. I would love to see more of those quilts displayed. I would like to stress that I love their fabric selection. But I’m not always happy with the experience.
Dave 'Axel': This place has a very well known reputation on the local sewing Discord but I was desperate. Lesson learned; it's a shame because you want to support a small business, especially a Bernina dealer, but, my goodness, they act like you ran over their dog! I get that bad reviews are upsetting and it's hard not to take personally, but are addressing the issue people are raising? I
Jim-Karen Davis: Heyde sewing machine Co. Has an excellent product selection and friendly, helpful staff and classes.
mary wines: This is one of the finest shops around. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great people, great selection and a great place to learn. Love Heyde Sewing. You get treated like family not another sale.
Teri Bloom: Love this store, great customer service and always great product. Attended an event this year and several classes in the past few. Information for the price is invaluable. Thank you Karen and crew for another great year.
Carol Winkler: I have learned so much in the past five years from going to Heyde for machine repair, for classes, for monthly Hot Topics sharing, for advice with my new machines, and for friendly encouragement from customers and staff.
stephanie stemmler: Always friendly; wide selection of fabrics and great customer service!
Juanita Gockel: Walked and was looking at the sewing machines. There was not pressure just very supportive and showed us all the cool features. Thank you so much!
Pattie Canter: As soon as I walked in the store, Renee greeted me and asked what she could help me with. Extremely friendly and helpful the entire time I was there. At least 30 minutes from my home but well worth the trip. Thanks Renee!
Molly Adler: Excellent service! Impressed with their personal attention to my sewing machine repair.
Longing for the harpazô moment!: When I see the reviews, I'm thinking : there are many more stores around St Louis that are really nice so why would I go to this store since reviews say they are rude?
Jo Jo: Tried to support a local business and avoid amazon but was made to feel so unwelcome, it would have been better to give Bezos my dollars. When I walked in, 3 employees stood chatting for several minutes before acknowledging me. I must have deeply upset the tall one, as a paying customer interrupting her coffee clatch, because when I asked 'do you carry a sewing machine cleaning kit?" she squaked "What!? there's no such thing!" Yes, ma'am there is. Your store not carrying does not mean such a thing does not exist. I said, 'um yes, they do, i was hoping you had one." and she replied 'you get those with your machine" rolled her eyes and waved her hand, dismissing me. Buckle up, you're not gonna believe this: people buy second hand machines or (like me) restore older ones to donate to job training programs and the machine doesnt have the original kit. Wild huh? One lady showed me where the brush, as in the one brush they carry, was and then tried explaining to me how it was used because I guess Im so stupid despite sewing for over a decade I dont know how a brush is used to clean a machine. Same for the oil, assuming I have no idea what or how its used. I Just wanted her to leave me alone so I stated I was going to get my universal needles then leave and she followed me over to the Schmetz display and began talking about what type i need. Ma'am. I did not ask. I know exactly what gauge I need. Eventually, she got the hint and left me alone but it was just so unpleasant being treated like a nuisance spending my money at the store and then talked down to like i was some kid who has never sewed in my life. Pam, the lovely lady who rang up my purchases, couldnt have been nicer or more pleasant. Really feel like she tried to be helpful. The rest can go whiz up a rope. Will still try to spend with a local business but not this one.
Paula Bachelder: Great selection of sewing, quilting, and embroidery machines. Great fabrics and notions. Awesome staff!
Sara Gibson: Great group of staff! Lots of classes offered. Great selection of fabric for your sewing and quilting needs. Highly recommend you stop by and check things out.
Bridget O'Shea: Great selection of sewing supplies and machines. Staff members are very helpful and outgoing.
Anne Simpson-Mills: Great selection of fabric. Store very nicely laid out.

Fenton Sew and Vac: what do users think?
Feryall Rahman: So very polite and helpful! Called interstate for purchasing a sewing machine, and the transaction was done no muss-no fuss. The machine arrived very promptly - practically overnight! The email support from Robin Zimmer was stellar - the kind that is getting rare nowadays.
Nancy Hou: I’m loving this place every one so nice 👍
BRENDA KELLEY: This is a wonderful place to do business. They were so helpful when I needed my sewing machine, Baby Lock, repaired. They were quick too! Which in itself is a miracle in this day and age. Also a great place to buy your Baby Lock machines and products (as I have done). Check it out....you won't be sorry
Paul Bales: Fast repair. Friendly service.
Laura Ira: They are always awesome
Sumaia Bisharat: Very nice people, only complaint is from a lady named Linda, very rude and shut on my face when I called.
stephanie hayes: Wow fixed my vacuum very inexpensively and quickly. I'm impressed with their service. They came in way under what they quoted.
Jackie Pruitt: Good capable staff. Love the material patterns. Good reasonable prices on sewing machines.
Terri Phelps: They have new machines and refurbished ones as well. They have less costly for folks wanting a decent machine yet more expensive one with all the bells and whistles. Melanie Kamer: My Mom (Sharon) on December 8, 2021 ordered a battery for our Dyson vacuum which they stated would be received in 1 1/2 weeks and I paid $120.15 for a battery with screws. It’s now 7 months later and we still have not received the battery and they refused to provide us a refund. This is unacceptable.

American Sewing Machine Co: what do users think?
Barb Berger: My prize sewing machine was acting up. I remembered my daughter being so thrilled years ago finding a kind owner of a sewing machine repair store that came to her rescue. When I had an electrical problem with my prize sewing machine I was hoping I could experience that joy when my machine was repaired. However when I pulled up to the shop there was a sign in the window that they had moved. The nicest man told me they did not work on that brand. He offered another name of a store that might be able to help. Hopefully they will be able to help. But even if they can't, he was a delight and very kind and made my day. I would definitely recommend his store.
Kathy Roth: The owner is so nice and helpful. I took my sewing machine to have it looked at. It wasn't running correctly. He is also very honest.
Debby Keathley: Mike and his son are so helpful! They really know their products and can get just about anything if you’re looking for something in particular. A++
John Kincaid: Took my wife there to get her sewing machine repaired. Meet soon as we entered, by owner who was with another customer. Everyone came in was greeted and very nice to all like Ole friends.Less than ten minutes he found the issue, pointed out it was just wrong thread using, he stripped it out put in another and ran a long stich just perfectly.Shop recently moved down the street, has nice parking lot and very easy access.Need sewing machine repairs, supplies or knowledge you must go here they are ACES.
Susan Hutsler: If you need a machine fixed or if you need any accessories it's the best place to go.
Thad Thomas: No one answered the call
Edeltraut Plut: Great service!
Jenna Bee: Such great service! I brought in a very old singer machine that hasn't been used in a long time and didn't work anymore. Got it back in less than a week and it is like new again! Very professional and can only recommend!
Denise Marie: Nice website
Linda Caples: They are so great ❤️
Lisa Ritz: Very helpful, and large variety.
Rick Squier: Knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to shop and find hard to get items. Great place for service and repair on new and old sewing machines.
Nancy Poteet: Great experience with machine cleaning and tune up. My 1951 machine sews like a dream.
Becky G: I always enjoy browsing the items in the store and always find something i need. Can't wait for the drawing! Thank you
THE JOURNEY By Clara Keller: Great services, price and knowable people
M Joe: Thanks for all your help, Mike!
Traveling Kat: Beautiful workmanship, quick repairs, amazing prices, love the way they talk you through it all
Kurt Kruger: Outstanding service and a very competent owner. He knew the brand of my 30 year old sewing machine before I uncovered it. He fixed the problem with the bobbin in minutes oiled my machine and sent me in my way with in 20 minutes. I highly recommend this business
Sarah F: We live an hour from this shop. I tried to contact them multiple times to see if they were open with no response. I trusted the hours listed online in multiple places and drove out here anyway only to find out they are closed. They let their customers know with a hand written sign on the door 👎🏻 Very unprofessional. I love their stuff and the quality, but I will probably take my small business shopping for my embroidery supplies somewhere else going forward. I can drive an hour in a different direction and get better service.
Jon Worley: I called today for help finding a part to a machine that I later learned is no longer in production, which was manufactured by a company that has not partnered with ASM for 15 years. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful in explaining all of this, and gave me a couple of leads that wound up leading to the part I need. This was the kind of small business, "I'll ask my sewing guy," kind of experience that I'm so grateful to be able to find in this awesome city.
Tammy Hasheider: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueMike was very helpful. Even though they weren’t taking repair orders because they are backlogged he still looked at my machine and told me exactly what it needed and I was able to fix it myself. Please support this business. They were wonderful. :-)
