The Melting Pot: what do users think?
Earleen Kauffman: Attentive and pleasant but not-overly-friendly service.
William Scherrer: Delicious authentic food! I recommend this lovely little gem!
Kara Naes: Ordered a 4 course meal but we didn’t even get to dessert. We had an early reservation, was there over 2.5 hours (past the restaurant’s closing) and was waiting on them to bring dessert for over 20 minutes. It was our first time here and I appreciate our server did give us a general run down then they disappeared the rest of the night, making the meal unbearable long, tiring and a little confusing. I usu don’t leave reviews but it was my fathers birthday dinner and I was heartbroken it wasn’t a better experience.
Kaitlin Shillig: This is probably my new favorite restaurant. I loved the food, the service was amazing, I loved the cozy, private atmosphere. Pretty sure I could happily spend my entire life in this restaurant. I do suggest making a reservation, and also to plan on spending a lot of time here. It took my husband and I about two and a half hours to eat our 4 course dinner.Dietary restrictions: There were a lot of gluten free and veggie options, including impossible meat.
L Wiese: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Bananas Foster Fondue, Milk Chocolate Fondue, Fiesta, Spinach Salad, Cheese Fondue, Green GoddessMore
Stevonna Leanndra-Marie: This is a date night spot, not a family occasion place. The atmosphere is very 90s. There has been zero attempt at updating the look. The price point is absolutely insane for the experience. While it does have a "kid" menu-it is also raw and is not a place I recommend taking children under 13. The hot plates are built into the table (with broken pieces and chips busted off), making it super easy for little fingers to get burned. Every course took about 30+ minutes, so be prepared to make it a night. We literally had to get up and look for the server when he disappeared for 35 minutes. While dipping fruits, breads, and veggies in cheese and chocolate were yummy, cooking my own raw meat while trying to wrangle two small children was more than I was prepared for. Also, the womens restroom has HUGE gaping spaces in ALL the stalls, so don't expect any privacy. No joke, there might as well not even be stalls. If you're planning a romantic fondue night, buy a fondue pot and some fruit yourself. It will be a much more enjoyable experience.
Mario Davis: Great place wonderful environment
Jeffrey fullerton: Not my thing
Craig Carnes: The service was awful. The Waiter took a hour to bring our dinner. People that came in 30 minutes after us got their dinner first. The food was not that good
《Amber Jarman》: Terrible server whom never came back, had to finally ask for the manager, took forever, while other around us had their food and we waited and waited...terrible, won't go back
Matthew Millett: Great experience with my family here for a graduation dinner! The food was excellent and the servers were friendly. They were out of several ingredients when we went, but it didn’t take much away from the experience. Pro tip: figure out what you want in advance so you can order it all at once and be efficient.
Nadia Graber: The newer waiter, Jimmy, was great. I was worried after reading other reviews, but service was great and I had absolutely no problems with waiting too long or being rushed (party of 2). One of the managers, lady with dyed pink ends, was very nice and checked on us several times in addition to Jimmy.
Shawn Smith: Not the best visit this time. Service was mediocre at best. The cheese and chocolate is always the best options here. Skip the poor cuts of meat you have to boil yourself and come just for the cheese and chocolate and perhaps a Caesar salad that was also exceptional.
Stacy Ford: The manager (female white) was rude. She was not at all accommodating to serving a large dinner party. The food was not worth the prices.
Liz Harris: A fun date night! It's a true experience.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Milk Chocolate Fondue, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Sauces, Cheese Fondue …More
Gary Schrader: My wife and I visited for the first time. After being seated 3 other parties were seated near us 5 to 10 minutes after we arrived. All three parties were enjoying drinks and food within a few minutes while we were just looking at an empty table. I brought the situation to the attention of management. They were apologized for our experience, but the service did not improve. All 3 parties enjoyed all of their courses and then left to enjoy the rest of their evening. My wife and I finally completed our last course 1/2 hour after the other parties. I do not recommend this place.
Bill Poole: Great Food, Great Service💯
donna brown: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Milk Chocolate Fondue, Green Goddess, Cheese FondueMore
Melissa Heinzer: Recommended dishes Hot Pot, Cheese Sauce with Bread and Veggies, Vegan Cheese Fondue, Spinach Salad, Fondue Pot, Cheese FondueMore
Robert Burt: Food was good. The place is run down and dirty. Service was bad.
Ryan Bucciarelli: I took my wife this afternoon for Mother’s Day and this is by far the worst experience we have had. Our waitress started off by forgetting my wife’s drink and then we wound up mixing our cheese and chocolate ourselves- not sure if she forget or just expected us to do it? Pretty frustrating. Also she never came back to check on us at all or see if we needed any more food or drinks, and another server came over and said he was concerned our server hadn’t came back to us and he took our plates and went to find her. When she came back a while later (only time until she brought the check I might add) she said she had another table and it was their first time there so she was showing them what to do. Very disappointed and hope if we decide to return again it will be better.

Chelsea Tyus: Cute brunch spot, good food, great drinks.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Cheddar Biscuits …More
SANTOSH NANDYALA: One of best places to try drinks, their cocktails are too good!! I tried Boom Boom Julep - perfect balance!, Nickname Season - best refreshing in my opinion, Lazy Tiger - overall fav, Cold Shoulder - decent!! My gf got guava bomb and frio fresco, which are both fruitilicious. The coconut shrimp is a must try. They also have birthday strawberry shooter so don't forget to ask for it on your bday.Kid-friendliness: I see family sitting around us and they even have coloring available for children.
Änki M.: Das Essen war sehr lecker das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden gut über die Speisen und Getränke beraten und uns wurden Vorschläge gemacht. Also wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden.

Mekenzie L: Great food and cocktails were amazing!
Alicia Foster: Absolutely amazing and had the best waitress ever!
Colleen Piel: Great experience! Very relaxing atmosphere, excellent service, delicious and creative cocktails and food. It was fun to order a lot of small plates and snacks and share them. My favorites were the corn taquitos and beef fat fries, but literally everything was tasty. Favorite cocktails were Golden Girls and the Yellowbelly. The bread pudding dessert was great, too.Dietary restrictions: Their menu items are marked with whether they are gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc.
Brad Wheeling: Came for brunch.and expectations were high. Perhaps too high. I ordered the big breakfast, which turns out is 50% fried potatoes. Detected no cheddar in the cheddar eggs. The biscuit was great. Was also disappointed to find they offer no sugar substitute, only simple syrup. Not everyone can do sugar. I will try again but expected more for the price.
Dan Weiss: Recommended dishes Yellowbelly CocktailMore
PATRICIA Dees: Always the best food and service. Next brunch I will definitely try to French Toast and chickenVegetarian options: Many optionsKid-friendliness: Kid menus and friendly atmosphereDietary restrictions: Menus are available for all dietary needs
Andrea Lugo-Torres: Service, atmosphere, food, everything is really good. Friendly staff all the time. Went by myself and I enjoyed it too much. Definitely coming back soon.
Courtney DesMarais: Wonderful Friday night out at Yellowbelly! We made reservations for 2 at 6:30.We arrived a little early so we could find parking and maybe not be eaten by the crazy storm that was expected. We were told our reservation will take a moment so we were offered to see at the bar.We were promptly greeted and given water while waiting. Had to tell the attentive stuff we were just waiting on a table as they looked really eager to encounter us! 🤩Once we arrived at our table, our server promptly came over and greeted us. She was super kind and we didn’t feel pressured to order or leave. The whole time she was very considerate of our experience, and we watched the entire staff work and harmony throughout the establishment. 🙌👏I ate the upper half of the menu. Starting with the shrimp ceviche. I loved the yellowish orange tint to the tiger’s milk in contrast with the blue corn tortilla chips, and scoop of avocado. I really appreciated the kick of the sauce that was accompanied alongside the quenelle ceviche. Yet I could see how others might find it too spicy. The fact that the spicy sauce kind of blended in with the rest of the ceviche could lead to a bad time if someone is adverse to heat. Perhaps making the tigers milk a different color or the spicy sauce a different color would help differentiate the two. Also, having the staff point this out would probably be useful for someone who wasn’t really looking for that level of heat. I did get some bigger diced celery in a couple bites, which just kinda shocked my mind because it is not a super typical component of ceviche. Either way, I absolutely loved this dish! The newer spring red leaf salad is exquisite. I’m really a sucker for fresh herbs and fruit in salad. For some reason not enough people do this at restaurants. 🤷‍♀️ The dish was studded with peas, pickled, blueberries, supreme grapefruit, plenty of fresh mint, cucumbers, and the yuzu dressing was light yet flavorful. Because most of the salad was green, the grapefruit and pickled blueberries really stood out and each bite was kind of like a delicious surprise.I actually ate the charred carrots for my main dish- which I would say HAS to be ordered upon every visit. My only remarks is that instead of using a brushed method for the chimichurri. I wish that it actually was more of a component of the dish to break apart some of the really rich umami, caused by charring the carrots and the drizzled eel sauce. Regardless this dish slaps 🔥My partner got the prime hanger steak skewers. I tried the slaw 🤤he loved the dish but wished there was about 4 more skewers lolHe also ate the carrots (yes we needed our own) and his entree was the seared Sea Scallops. The kitchen did an excellent job, preparing the scallops. The sear was super hard on one side yet the delicate nature of the scallops remained. He loved the grits and contrasting flavors/ texture. Again wishing that he had more on the plate. He is a hungry boy 🙄 the mojo verde gave vibrance and a kick to a rich dish. Plus added some herbaceous color.Cocktails are super unique but not heavily boozy (unfortunately). Nevertheless we recommend the Sloe gin sling and instant gimlet. Love the cute photos of the drinks that are real depictions of what will arrive. Very cute!My guy needed a dessert while we waited out the storm. We chose the pineapple upside down bread pudding. I was curious and eager to see how this will play out. As it adds two desserts into one. I don’t know how they did it, but this really was a pineapple upside down bread pudding. I would have love to see the ability to add some homemade ice cream on the side. But now we’re just getting gluttonous.Service: 10/10Flavors: 10/10Ambiance: 9/10The only reason why the ambience wasn’t a 10 out of 10 is it was freaking COLD!! Also, the doors allowed for a lot of water to leak and during the storm. And that kind of took away from some of the experience. Not for us, but maybe for others. Loved the music playing and all the happy plants.
Erica Salter: Some of the most delicious and innovative food we've had in St. Louis. The flavor combinations are both original and tasty (e.g. the vanilla Panna Cotta with lemon gele and candied basil). Attentive and friendly service and very reasonable prices make this place a true winner.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Salmon Tostada, Vanilla Panna Cotta, Roasted Carrots, Poke Bowl …More
Nic West: This place is awesome! Customer Service ✅.. Food was so good! ✅.. Atmosphere and vibe ✅… Yeah, I’ll definitely be back… And I don’t remember the name of this drink, but it was so tasty!! I will recommend this, make a reservation! The only reason my party got in and seated so quickly, is because we arrived exactly at opening..
Longwen Zhao: Everything was good except the food.Food: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Li Xue: Everything is good except for food. The size is also very small. $35 per person, and you still need to order a burger from Shake Shack.Food: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Pieces Board Game Bar And Restaurant: what do users think?
Lillian Wanke: Awesome cocktails, awesome board games!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ron Schaefer: A hidden gem by the Soulard Market. Super cool place to release your inner geek. Definitely a “the more, the merrier” kind of place.
Sylvia Cooper: I went here with a large party in one of the reserved back rooms, and had a wonderful time. Alcohol prices seem to be about the same as everywhere else, nice variety of things to choose from, huge selection of board games and card games. The waitstaff, June, was prompt and very nice. Thank you June! for being so great with helping us pick out a fun game 14 people could play.
Eric Simmons: Had to leave this review but the lavender Italian soda taste like the smell of a urinal cake in a men’s bathroom of a two year old bar. I gave you five stars so you can’t be mad, but now that I’ve said it, you can’t untaste it. Bleh
Josh McCown: Drinks and board/card games? This place is awesome!!! Themed drinks and dishes are a really cool little feature, loved the Boba Feta Sandwich and the Nuka Cola cocktail is phenomenal. There's a great variety of games to choose from at a low flat rate that can be diminished by each food/drink item you order. Staff here is incredibly helpful and friendly, would highly recommend trying Pieces at least once.
Kelly Pierce: Literally one of the reasons I keep coming to St. Louis is for this place. So much fun and go during happy hour and drinks and appetizers are 5.00Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mike B: Food was good. Had a breakfast burrito with sausage mushrooms potatoes and eggs. Cinnamon rolls are great. Kids love selection of games! Great for the whole family. They also have trivia nights with drink specials. Right next to the Darkness in the heart of Soulard. Great spot to hit before Cards game or after a stroll through the market. Give it a shot, you'll be back.
Kaushik Dandlamudi: I was there for their game night on Wednesday and it was fun. We had like 2-3 groups of people who were very much involved in their game and they were in middle of their game and we couldn’t join them. So we played some small arcade games for some time and had some food. They have a decent vintage game collection apart from their modern board games. It was a fun nostalgic day with the old games.
Robert Guadagno: A fantastic place for good bar food, good drinks, and amazing games!!!Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Cody Cummings: Pieces is a fun and unique concept! They have a massive collection of +1000 board games that can be played with friends while you enjoy a meal or some drinks. It’s a kid friendly cafe, but it also cater to adults. I’ve been in with a couple friends to have a causal board game night over a couple beers, and I’ve also come out for a board game meet up with strangers. It’s always a fun time, and it’s a great way to play some games you’ve never seen or don’t have enough people to play at home.Pro tip: order a couple drinks and food, and it’ll reduce the library fee by $1 per menu item. They also have trivia on Wednesdays from 7-9Happy hour Wednesday- Friday from 4-6!!! Great time to take advantage of the $1 off library fee per order item. 😉
Jimmy Huckstep: Great place to have fun with friends.Recommended dishes Pretzels and Cheese, Chips, Game, Board Game …More
Sarah Montoya: Seriously, one of Saint Louis’ hidden gems. Love it here!Recommended dishes Sliders, Board Game, Tacos …More
Kit Davis: Absolutely awesome place! Love the concept and staff members were amazing, fun, helpful, and kind.Good food, clean bathrooms, well maintained and large selection of games, and friendly vibes.Wish I lived in STL so I could come here all the time!
Explorers: A very innovative concept and an absolute thrill if you're a big group, a couple, or even alone (yes they have one game that lets you play all alone) wanting to do something out of the box, quite literally! We would recommend the play area, but not the food. We called for the Midwest Poke Bowl and were so sick after. Don't know what's in the dish, but I threw up right after I got home and my husband had a bad stomach ache leading to diarrhea. In all fairness, it's just one dish we tried, but given how sick we were we'd much rather have fun minus the food.Summing up, Pieces is a wonderful place to be when you want to stay indoors, have a crazy time, learn more about board games, and find new friends (perhaps). They have over a 1000 games stocked and the staff is very friendly and will attend to you if you happen to find yourself stuck. We love their selection and would definitely go back to play more games!
Richard Guadagno: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Meghan Brauch: One of my favorite places in St. Louis. Their food and drink selection is fantastic and everything I've ever ordered is delicious. The staff is kind and always so quick to respond. The games are definitely getting worn and could use updating, but it's only because they are well loved. I highly recommend this place, it's an experience!
Jessica VanderRoest: Love this place! Wish we had one at home (MI)Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Midwest Poke Bowl, Sliders, Game …More
Douglas Goldstein: Variety of food and all done quite well. Wall to Wall board games and plenty of choices. Trivia Wednesday night was a joy.Vegetarian options: I saw many options. They have impossible meat at no additional charge.
Jordan Bartholme: This place is an AMAZINGLY fun time for small gatherings!! Get some friends together and enjoy good food and drinks while adventuring through their EXTENSIVE collection of over 750+ (UPDATE: 1,000+) board and card games! ♟️🎲🃏🙌💡There are no reservations and wait times can approach & exceed 1hr during peak times in the evening, so recommend arriving by or before 6 if possible. If you do have to wait you can always hang out at the bar though. 💡A can't-miss option for a fun night out with friends! 💯***Park on the street (free after 7pm) not in the lot across the street. Trust me.***Parking: Street parking is free after 7pm and is the best option. Don't let your meter run out of you park in the lot across the street, you WILL get a ticket!
James A. Miller: Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Medicbear911: Great place. Novel idea, to be able to pick and play games from a huge selection with all your friends. Good was tasty, even if it was a little overpriced. Try the Bobo-Feta Melt sandwich, it was DA BOMB!!!Parking: Parking meters on street, paid parking lot across the street, Sundays free street parking

Seth VerMulm: The food was great!! Especially loved the waffle fries. The reason I give four stars is because the service was quite slow. Our party thought it would be relatively quick because we got seated right away, but after ordering, the food took 1 hour to come. The staff were nice, but not very attentive, and one lady told us our food would be out in 2 minutes, and it didn’t come out until at least 15 minutes after she told us. Overall, delicious food, fair prices, but slow service.
Bankpole Joe: Absolutely the worst restaurant in town, I get better service at my local McDonald's. Paid over 200 dollars for a 10 dollar experience. 8oz steak for 40 bucks smh. Didn't even ask how I wanted it cooked
Shelbi Miller: Shanell was awesome! She was so much fun and did an amazing job! The food was great too
