Herman's Farm: what do users think?
Ted Rufkahr: My kinda place
David Ray: Great place to buy vegetable plants for our garden. They sell these amazing ty-dye tomatoe plants
Jason Lane: Love this little farm! Pricey but worth it to support a local small farm!
Jennifer Pontello: We had a wonderful afternoon here! We picked apples from trees, pumpkins from vines, and my kids love the big slide and wagon ride.
Jason Sherman: Got the perfect pumpkins!
Carrie Newman: Family owned and so fun for the kids to the playground and hayride! We visited with the school field trip that day! #gohermansfarm
Eliza Rivas: Fun little farm near old town St. Charles
Rebecca Slay: Bad customer service. We arrived right as it started to rain. Since there were no apples for sale we asked if they could waive the picking fee so we could run into the orchard and pick a few apples to purchase. We were baffled that they said no. You can literally see the orchard from their counter. Apparently they aren't interested in selling apples. Very disappointed. What a waste of a drive.
Joyce Hahn: Friendly and helpful. Good quality produce.
Jackson Pugh: Great experience for families. Peach picking in the summer. Planning to pick apples this fall. The family running things was enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful. They made you feel like family being there.
B. Crawford: Great tomatoes!
Rose Whitworth Whitworth: Excited for this year's tomatoes and corn!
Kenneth Jaworsky: Great selection of plants.
Bob Watson: Very nice the old dude and his wife treat me with knowledge and just great and must helpful they really know what how and when to plant everything couldn't be more helpful! Love pucking there brain and adding there take and guiding for success as I grow large style.
Tracy Cecil: In honor of Mom and Pop Small Business day, I'd like to honor my parent's business, Herman's Farm Orchard. The place to go for all your gardening needs in the spring and the best homegrown tomatoes in the midwest all summer. Our family would love to meet you.
Anna Martinez: Love this place great owners bought apples and tomatoes
Alexander Babor: Absolutely lovely staff! Not much selection as far as pumpkins, and the children's stuff they advertise so much is tiny and not worth the $5
Steven Erickson: Small but nice.
Cynthia Clubbs: Very disappointed!! My daughter bought an enormous pumpkin this past Friday from Hermanns. She was told not to carve it until right before Halloween. It sat on a chair Saturday and Sunday. This morning, Monday morning, I smelled something terrible. The pumpkin was mush on the bottom and leaking rancid juice on my armchair. Barely got it outside when the bottom completely burst open and seeds and liquid went everywhere in my carport. I've been cleaning all day and still smell it!!
Don Welz: Great place for kids
Anna Harton: Very happy with our experience here every year with our small kids. Staff go above and beyond. Yes it's small and doesn't have all the things the big places have. But that's kinda nice. Keeps it a simple trip.

Eckert’s Millstadt Fun Farm: what do users think?
Brian Roy: Terrible. Now a Tourist trap. AVOID! My wife, son and I have been going for 3 years now, but something has changed. They are now price gouging, they sell rotten produce (both the strawberries and carrots we got are inedible and overpriced), strawberry picking by appointment only. It is clear the owners only care about profit, not customer service. Never going back.
Kylie B.: Very cool place to take children but I find picking their produce to be very overpriced and the prices continue to go up each year. Paying to ride a shuttle to the orchard should be free for those who are purchasing apples and other produce items. Over all the experience is enjoyable but the prices are becoming ridiculous for what it is at the end of the day. On the other hand their apples are crisp and delicious with many varieties available to pick from. In regards to pumpkins, get there early in the season the pick your own pumpkins they were very picked over last October, Not to mention too expensive!!! Highest priced pumpkins Ive ever seen at 90 cents a lb 😭 dude! That makes a pumpkin of avg size about 14 bucks. In my opinion that is completely ridiculous. You can get 2 for that price at krogers just sayin’
Lindsey: Eckerts has been a family tradition since I was a child and I love being able to take my kiddo. Lots of fun things to do -- apple / pumpkin picking, rides, bird cage to feed birds, big underground slide (fun for adults too), goats to feed, shows, food, KETTLE CORN! Large play area for the kids, bikes... you can see the Arch from a viewing point they have. Very fun fall family activity!!
Gale Davis: I picked one of smaller pumpkins. I had a great scare on the hayride.
Heather Hopen: This is great place to go! We have had fun in the past here on the weekend. But, we are on budget this time so we opt to go during the week. Well very disappointed at what was available for my kids to do. Hope this would change for at least the last part of the day that it’s open. Even got our kids from school early.
Clay Smothers: There is no warning on their website that the Corn Maze closes at dark. Drove all the way out there just to walk through it after work arriving about 7:20, paid admission, just to be told the corn maze closes at night. While I understand the reason why, this should be noted on the website. Also their parakeet encounter has more birds than perch space for them to sit. Half of them are forced to hang on the sides of their enclosure to sleep. Kind of sad really.Hayride is good and fun though, and plenty of other activities to do making the admission price worth it if you plan to spend a few hours there to do everything.
Karen Ortiz: It's cute and quaint. We came during September and it was really fun for kids and adults alike, there are games and little activity sections for children and decent treats they too like candy apples, popcorn. There was a petting zoo and a little go cart thing there which was fun and a hayride so you'll definitely get your money's worth. There are some activities that do require extra payments and will only take cash so keep that in mind as well.
Jennifer Roulston: Such a great time
Patrick Earl: Great time! Wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Great food options, and lots to do with family.
Catherine “Cathy” LaGrone: Real fun!
Shannon Turner: Great experience. So much fun
KATIE WOLF: Family tradition for the last 15 years and our grown children still love going there. Highly recommend for all ages! Feed goats, get lost in a corn maze, watch pig races, place, eat and pick your own apples and pumpkins. The general store has lots of other goodies too. Family Fun Farm is a great description! Thanks to all of the workers for keeping it running so smoothly over the years!
Trout Atwell: Dusty, dirty, and too expensive!
Jonathan Hanson: Overpriced for the experience. Understaffed with long lines for all food, drinks, rides, and stores. Can get a similar experience elsewhere for free or for half the cost.
Art Fieser: Just another holiday money grab at this point. They can’t even keep the turkey legs in stock which is real great when they have no other options for people with celiac disease like myself. Kids enjoy it, but there are cheaper ways to entertain children that can manage to keep concessions in stock.
Mike Apken: Great day of fun
Michael Thomas: Great place to visit. Plenty of fun things to do
Chad Brauss: Fun family location. 1st time visitors.
Eliot McGaughey: One name. Rusty Plyers
Brooke Mitchell: We enjoy stopping here multiple times a year! We always have a great time and they have a lot to do. We love the corn maze, pig races, pumpkin and apple picking, and animals. Perfect place to spend time with the family!
Gina Newbanks: We had a great time with our kids and grandkids. I give it 10 👍 up.
