Rustic Roots Sanctuary: what do users think?
Jackie Shelby: This farm is the perfect place to learn about nature, farming. Beekeeping, chickens, goats.Very kid friendly
Roman Martinez: Love this place! Super friendly and zen like
Tina Mohan: I love this farmer's market. Open at the end of the day, on Wednesdays, and in my own neighborhood too. Every one is very nice. There's music, food, lotions, salves, poetry books, children's books. I saw people getting a relaxing massage. Fruits and vegetables, fresh eggs, relishes, elixers. Hot dogs. I've never seen a large crowd there. The atmosphere is very welcoming, lots of smiling faces. If you wanted to you could sit by a firepit. I highly recommend it. I hope to go again soon.
Neah Barnhart: Such a beautiful, healing environment! They host a weekly farmers market, yoga and restorative events and more!! Strongly recommend!!
Kristen Collins: Talk about therapeutic... peaceful and serene.💯%A hidden gem that's both a treat and treasure to behold. There's so much to see & learn...and I know I learned at least 12 different plants that surround the circumference of my home. And the one that I had been so curious about (was-is ) my nemesis...the Cleaver plant. That green sticky -prickly vine like plant that clings to flowers and plants, and you & your clothes. You really don't pay attention to it until you have to cut the grass... or for some, mow the lawn...or do a little gardening. Overall it was an awesome and great experience!!Thanks Janet & Crystal! ☘️🍃🌿🌱🍀🌻
Andrea Obregon: This place was amazing very well organized and safe. I really enjoyed my visit. I will definitely go to back this summer to see the farm at full bloom and the finished canning kitchen .
Paul Covington: I need more details on that
Tracy Banks: Loved the animals, fire pit and scenery.
Kalu Ma: Great place. Attended a fall festival that was nice.
LaTanya Ivy: This is a farm run by a wonderful woman who holds various events here throughout the year. A true hidden gem.
Glenn Beckmann: I had the great experience of buying 17 of Janett's Elderberry Plants today and meeting Eric. Great Great couple and look forward to going back, especially to share some my beef products with them. Happy Easter
Karen Greer: Pictures and words can't explain the feeling of wholeness at Rustic Root Santuary. My personal experience was pure serenity in an environment filled with learning opportunities in the agricultural field. I learned an abundance of things about cultivation and how the earths resources and animal connections help us in many ways to aid in our overall health. This is an experience the whole family will enjoy.Rustic Roots Santuary continues to add richness by including child educational and hands on experiences as well as providing nutritional resources to them and our seniors. You won't be disappointed.

St. Louis N.E. / I-270 / Granite City KOA Journey: what do users think?
Thomas Presson: The staff here have been awesome. I traveled with 2 small kids and we stayed for 2 nights. The staff was always friendly and full of helpful advice about what to do in the area. Thanks again for the hospitality. Made us feel at home for sure. Hope to stop by again in the future.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Stephanie Hall: This is funny to say, but the ground at this KOA, was some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on, for camping! The camp sites also had a shelter, table, charcoal grill, water, and parking spot, for a great price! Clean bathrooms! Thank you, folks!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Paula DeGroot: Reasonable priced. Quiet. Nice pull-thru.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Howard worthey: Traveling through and reserved a 50 amp site got a 30 amp instead. We arrived at 1:15 pm and was charged $5 for early check in . So dont arrive before 2pm.The girl at the counter was rude and very short with me when I complained. She even said that "She could arrange for me NOT to stay there." Be prepared because the park is set for two hook ups on each RV power poll which means two campers face each other which is ok if you are traveling with someone else. Or want to get to know your neighbors cause you have facing Doors. Over all I would not stay here again park is run down and needs fixing up cant believe it is up to KOA Standards and the cost is double what most parks charge.
yz z: Workers raced on the already dusty internal road, raising huge dust. Propane doesn’t work,
Steph S: It's not great, but it's not awful. Awful would be the TrailsEnd park down the road. As everyone has already said, location and noise were some of the downfalls. The drive into St. Louis isn't far and quite easy, actually. We stayed 7 days, and we are full-time. However, what everyone else says about the staff being friendly was not our experience. Rude. Just simply, rude. If I kindly ask you to wait 30 minutes to weed eat outside my camper because my son is taking a final exam online, don't act like I had the actual audacity to ask such a question, then roll your eyes, shake your head and then start up the weed eater and ignore me. Went straight over to the manager who wouldn't give me his name (chicken), and she said she'd "talk" to him... yeah, don't think that happened. He didn't even come back to apologize. Needless to say, we'll never stay here again and find something else, probably on the Missouri side. THIS was our introduction to Illinois.
Steve Rogers: It's a KOA, stayed two days while exploring St Louis. Worked well for a Basecamp.Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Debra Duvall: Nice flat fairly roomy sites.
Ross Jessop: You asked so I am going to be honest. Not sure where they got this picture from, located between transport truck yards and rail yard. Unkept facility, run down they say they have cable but it doesn't work. Dog park has boards in it with nails through it, pull through site where once gravel but now overgrown with weeds. I think rating this a one is way to high. I have notified KOA corporate and sent photos as proof.
Kathleen South: Pros- nice office staff, level sitesCons—LOUD, on one side you have non stop noise from Granite City school buses and semi trucks, from before dawn to late evening. The beeping was driving me crazy. The other side has trains, blowing whistles, all day and night. The back side had truck noise. The campground looks dilapidated, and sad. I believe they just reopened after a winter closure but it almost looks like it had been abandoned. The playground equipment needs power washing, the sites need gravel, no one was in the office at 2:00 so we didn’t have an escort to the site. The campground was very empty yet we had a very loud rig next to us, that pulled in after 10:00 pm. There was no reason not to leave an empty space between rigs. It was not worth $60 a night. I hope they fix this KOA up.
Tim Crowder: It was a great place with the exception of having your neighbors water, electricity and sewer right under or up against your picnic table. The "A" slots need to be a little wider.
Glenda: Not in a great area. Rv sites were really close together. cable tv worked but no sound. When asked, staff was rude and said “we have a new state of the art system and your tv is just too old”. We explained tv is a little over a year old and they (in a very rude tone yet again) said “it doesn’t matter our system is state of the art”! Our tv sound worked at another location just previously to this location and after we hooked into HDMI cable with computer the sound was working fine however Koa site cable sound still not working. There was also a trashed out trailer sitting in the front of the campground and it looked like someone’s household items sitting in the front lobby of the camp office. We also were unable to purchase propane. We were told the scales are broken. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend this park.
Amanda Robison: We stayed for seven days, the staff was always friendly and helpful. The train and traffic are quite loud at night time but we just turn on the fan to drowned it out. We loved the buddy sites, it's great for two families wanting to camp together but in different campers. I would return again.Playground: The kids loved the jump pillow.Restrooms: The restroom and showers are very nice and alway clean.
Bill Tracey: I had previously only given this campground 3 stars but in the past couple of years they have improved tremendously. wifi is 5 star. We used antenna for tv and got great reception.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Daniel J: Tough review, location and tightness of spots was a 3, staff and friendliness is a 4. Right in between a truck facility, train or junkyard and port or shipping. Thought we were lost until turning into the location. Dog park was tiny, like 2 chihuahuas would run into each other small.Decent for a night or driving through to stop, but nothing around here to really see. Had a bounce pillow which my kids loved.Spots were really tight, like 6 feet on each side to the other campers. Sewer had a flange type attachment so we got to look directly at and smell the neighbors sewer for a week. Staff were great however 👍
Joseph Schaefer: The campground smells like sewage. They were having a tree cut down so we got woken up at 7am to chain saws and a wood chipper. When it was time to leave the tree crew was blocking two exits, the KOA staff were blocking the third. We asked how to get out and the KOA staff took 30 minutes to move their golf carts to let us out of the park.Restrooms were clean and maintained well.Restrooms: Clean
Ray Harris: Quiet, clean camp just a quick drive from STL! It was very affordable and comfortable. The lady who checked us in was polite and informative! Which we were grateful for, being out-of-town folk who had never visited Illinois or Missouri. This is a great and affordable alternative to busy hotels in the city if you are driving! They have cabins, RV spots, and tent sites that all have access to running water and electricity on site. Do not be discouraged by the road leading to it. It is tucked off into some "woods" secluded from the industrialization nearby. It was different for us country folk but felt at home when we got settled in.Playground: Features a jump padRestrooms: Always cleanDog-friendliness: Several campers walked dogs daily, always on a leashPicnic area: Each tent site features a pavilion with picnic tables
Carol Wagner: This is absolutely ridiculous there is a raceway so close we can here the engines reving. Even with our air conditioning running the noise was unbelievably loud. We received e-mail telling us to check in at 1:00 when we made reservation, day of reservation we received another email. It stated check in was at 2:00pm and to come because pool is open. When we arrived pool closed. Women’s bathroom ceiling falling down.
Jeremy Stockert: Not real welcoming...

Larry Knight: Always a great time and place to go with family
Shay Scurlock: My kids had an absolute blast.! Even the ppl there r so friendly.! N there's a snow cone stand right up the street, so it's like a perfect way to end the day. Highly recommend
TheCatsMeow PrettyHorses: This Farm is very nice however I do worry about the animals the horses are in Barns as well as the cows it looks like the animals don't have a whole lot of room to run around but I am hoping it's only temporary while open because the outdoor area is very small for a cow and a horse however I can't assume anything so I'm hoping it's just temporary other than that it's a very nice place to visit and I definitely want to come back when I'm on vacation again

Grant's Farm: what do users think?
Geo M: Great place for families.
Alice Heidbreder: Easy to find. Great place for feeding the baby goats. There are many other animals to see as well. You can stop by the barn to see the horses.
Barry Grandgenett: Not a lot to do… and it kinda sucks.
Bruce Pruellage: Great Day, Great park. Thank you ABINBEV

Ashley Hooper: Good time with the family 😀
JonMichael Deisher: Great fun for the family!
Terry Jones: Awesome! Always a wonderful family time! Can't wait to go back.
jackson LGXYZ !: it’s okay for families parking twenty bucks you pay with card only, entrance is nice and all you get on a tram that takes you on a small tour and then go to the place itself inside theirs giving milk to baby goats carousel animal show camel rides and a more in dept tour if you really want i say you can be there for a couple hours maybe three max
Wendy Solis: Very nice
Nicholas Pavelka: The Clydesdale tour is definitely worth it
Mary Gretzschel: Always a fun place to visit with the whole family.
JR Hooks: A family friendly attraction. You must pay to park.
Anna Carpenter: So much fun for the whole family! Rich history and now a place to eat, drink, and interact with some animals! Admission is free but parking is $19 ($16 if purchased in advance). Some activities cost extra, for example milk and food for the goats is $2 each. There is a room for babies including a couple private nursing rooms which was great! A tram takes you to the main area and they are able to take wagons/strollers.
Sphaleritee Es: Great for people who love animals. So many to see! Those obese goats have to be animal abuse or something though.
Wind Napol: Free admission, 2 free beer per visit, only have to pay $19/ vehicle for parking. Wow what a deal. Staff were all friendly and energetic. It’s a good 2 hours spent in grant farm. Many things to learn. And kids get to see real animals. The farm was well maintained. All animals look happy and healthy. And those Clydes dales were Gorgeous and magnificent.
Kysha Kolhouse: Not much to do. But it's fun to bottle feed the goats and birds!
Greatness GodSaidIt: Such a beautiful place!
Sheila Hester: Had a wonderful time a beautiful place. .
Ginger Phillips: Beautiful place. However when we asked about the Clydesdale we were not told the barn closed at 5. We would of gone there first. The tram ride was nice but they would not stop so we could pictures. Also they could of informed us that we had to catch the tram back at the eating area. We walked all the way to the front only to walk back to the eating area to exit. The staff does not share information. I doubt if I will visit again.
Tufan Erdogdu: Perfect place to visit if you are traveling and stopping by St. Louis. The farm is an amazing place for your kids.
