Among our favorite subs are the salsiccia, meatballs and the Roman torpedo. We usually dine in. In the summer is our go-to place for Picnic pick up for any Forest Park events. Caleb Foster: Decent food, very consistent in their inconsistency with food quality and packaging. Also it seems that as time has gone on (I've been going since 2016) the portions have been cut in half on the main selling point for me which is the BABLT. L B: Great sandwich shop. However, they got rid of the awesome vegan options I used to order - the bbq jackfruit and the sloppy Jane sandwiches. Seems like they’re turning into just another Midwest meat heavy sandwich joint. They’re black bean burger is “beefy” and they’re veggie hot dog is a hot dog. I thought they were more health conscious and forward thinking than that. Ugh.
Emily Woodall: The gyro!
Sara Christy: Used to be better…always had problems with delivery but now they don’t answer the phone for pickup either. We decided to drive down since they close at 8…nope, they were putting up chairs at 7:10, no one acknowledged my husband standing at the door. Not a good sign on a Friday night. I predict Fozzies will not be around much longer.
D Sweat: Edit: 3/01/23. The service has fallen off. You have to order through a confusing app and pay a service charge if you want to pick up food. They will not answer the phone to take an order. On two separate occasions I tried calling in an order and no one would answer. This time I drove up there and the sign said open but there was no one in the lobby. If there is no customers, they should at least answer the phone and take an order. This used to be the best sandwich shop around, but not anymore. Too bad.Great food. Gets busy around lunch. Very few tables inside and the dining area is small usually crowded with people in line. There are outside picnic tables. I suggest calling ahead and picking it up, especially around lunch, but sometimes it doesn't matter because you will still have to wait 5-15 min. to get to the cashier. They need a separate line for pickup orders. The food is excellent.
Jeffrey Nolin: Excellent sandwiches! Quality is a little iffy, but still good food.
James Books: The food was fresh and tasty, the staff were friendly and the service was fast. Will definitely be going back!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Emily Sheehan: I really like their sandwiches but they’re overpriced for the size

A Hudgens: Have you ever thought about what your last meal would be? I have, and I'm pretty confident it would be my usual (or anything really) from Mound City. I've been going here since 2010 and it's honestly one of the few places I keep coming back to and, more importantly, recommending to anyone in the Midtown area. The owner and her staff are amazing, and even though there's typically a line out the door the wait time isn't too bad and the quality is always awesome! If you can relate to Joey from Friends, that sandwiches are your favorite food, seriously drop by Mound City the next time you're in Midtown STL during the week. Your wallet and stomach will thank me!Kid-friendliness: While busy with folks on their lunch breaks, the vibe is accepting to all ages.Parking: Located in a strip center with other businesses, but always parking availableDietary restrictions: Owner has helped me find a workaround for my gluten-sensitivity

Matthew Maniaci: I've been here twice so far and both sandwiches I got were great. This is one of those places where no matter what you order it'll be at least good if not great. As some others have said, give yourself 15 minutes to wait--it's just the owners and maybe one other person, but they hustle pretty hard and even with long lines I've never been there more than 15 minutes or so. The food is absolutely worth it, though!

Gioia's Deli: what do users think?
Brian Yost: Gioia’s Deli is a staple on The Hill. Excellent sandwiches but be prepared to wait. Especially during lunch hours.
matt blunt: Sandwiches are outstanding! The hot salami is a great addition to everything. Helpful staff, great visit.
Austin Kennedy: Worth the price, high quality fresh ingredients. Bread was baked to perfection and the beef is to die for. Really anything you get you won't be disappointed. Staff is friendly, fast, and everyone was working hard to get the orders out fast and accurate.
Eric Traylor: The sandwiches are delicious there. The hot salami was fantastic again.
Adom Lee: Yeah, go ahead and make an order. We both know you're gonna...
LUTHER ARRINGTON: I’ll have to return and try something different from the menu before I give a review.
Sherman Williams: Just came in today and had the oven roasted Turkey with bacon, it was absolutely delicious, every sandwich I've had was delicious, the spicy Daggett, Hot Salami, Meatball and Turkey, Gioia's Deli is batting 1.000!!! 🥪
Laurie Koetting: Fast and Delicious!
Amber Thompson: Gioia’s is always a priority stop while visiting home! The staff is always so friendly and helpful, the store is clean and well organized, and the food taste’s like home 😍 Couldn’t ask for a better place to grab a bite! Plus you have beautiful Berra Park right across the street to sit down and enjoy the beautiful Hill 🇮🇹
latoya howard: Hot Salami with hot pepper cheese my favorite on cheese garlic bread fabulous
Alicia: Fast friendly and good food
Rachel Kendall: Loved it. Just as good as blues City deli and we've been there several times, but it's a bit further away from our hotel that we use when in town. This is super close. Delish food!
K Arlington Andrews: Love this spot. Wish I could get the name right. Always mispronounced when recommending. Larger sandwiches better $. Authentic Italian!!!
John Morris: The best Italian sandwich I’ve ever had. Amazing
Allison Huber: You have to try this place for lunch sometime - you won't be sorry.
Dr. Semite: Stale bread with skimpy meat portion on a $13 (plus tax) sandwich (spicy Daggett). First time I've been here since before the pandemic and I won't be going back - not like I remember AT ALL. Eovaldi's up the street waaaay better, never been disappointed.
Maddy Bear: This place is delicious! Big & delicious sandwiches! I love ordering the hot salami sandwich. The service and staff is awesome and sweet too. :)
Kyle Blankenship: Great food, and most of the staff was wonderful, except for the bearded guy who garnished and wrapped my sandwiches. He was negative and kinda rude, and probably shouldn't be someone that has to deal with customers. I watched him work with 10+ other customers and not once did he smile or have anything decent to say. Just kinda bummed me out. Otherwise a great experience and I highly recommend the food!
Rob K: Best sandwich I ever had.
Terry Anderson: The best sandwich they have is the hot salami and roast beef. 👍
Justin Whitney: Best sandwich shop around, hot salami or meatball on the garlic chessy bread is amazing!!!

Blues City Deli: what do users think?
Christopher Adams: Best Sandwiches in town. Update... Still the best in town!!
David Henderson: This is a must stop location if traveling through St Louis. No one puts more meat on their sandwiches, than BCD. No regrets, hands down greatest sandwiches. I love the Veno roast beef sandwich. Be prepared, the line starts coming out the door and down the block as soon as it opens. Get there early or enjoy standing in line. It's worth the wait though. Military discount, in uniform.
Chris Murphy: Awesome food
Rickie Gentry: This place rules when u get a sandwich don't forget a frozen pizza for later
Andy Eihausen: I’ve been going to this place every Saturday for 8 years and ordered the Aporkalypse every time. It was the best sandwich ever! Nothing beats that boom boom sauce!Unfortunately, it looks like they have either changed their pork vendor or changed the way they made the pork because the aporkalypse is nowhere near as good as it was and it makes me really sad because I loved it so much. However, I will continue going here because there are other great sandwich options, the staff is incredible and Vinny is the absolute best. I wish my favorite sandwich never changed but the Veno is just as good :).Love you guys!
RIchard Delhaye: Fun place to eat. Great vibe.
Steve Gubin: Excellent food as evidenced by the long line down the street! But no worries, the line moves quickly and the good is well worth the short wait. My favorites are the Pastrami and the 7th Street Sicilian. They really know how to make a hoagie here! I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their menu. Also love the blues music and the old blues artists posters that cover the walls.
joseph simmons: Went here today because a fellow staff member went here. I had the Italian Beef wet. I went back today and got 4 more. My wife is from Chicago and thus sandwich brought her back to Chicago.
Cole Perrin: Fast Service ✔️Friendly Staff ✔️Food Quality ✔️Great Taste ✔️Will be back for more. Loved The Big V!
Ted Butler: Real sandwiches. Coke fountain. Nice ice.
Hudgens Movie House: Best sandwich deli in the city by far with the best Italian Beef within a few hundred miles. A must visit for everyone.
Matthew Wells: The sandwiches here are off the chain amazing. I consistently get the 7th Street Sicilian because it reminds of when I lived in Italy from 2016-2019. The sandwich quality is on par with the sandwiches I ate while living at NAS Sigonella outside Catania.
Dan C: The best sandwich in town. Best mufaletta ever. Still the best mufaletta. The 7th street Sicilian is my wife's favorite. Nobody is perfect. Today was a great day to eat blues city deli!
Etienne LaRoux: first time diner came with co workers - very overrated for what the food is. nostalgia proabably keeps a lot of customers coming back but i must say there are better sandwiches all over the City.
max chapman: Great place with great food, long like but they make it quick and worth the wait. Great interior design and friendly staff
Maire Schultz: Always delicious! Get there early, there's always a line! (That's how you know it's good)
Casey Stephens: The sandwiches were absolutely amazing. We will be back!!
Richard Hoey: Totally cool place. Great food, great environment.Picked up some sandwiches and tailgated before Cardinals game today. Soooo much better than overpriced stadium food, yum.
Candler Weinberg: Amazing sandwiches at a fun neighborhood deli.
Jim T: Their smoked pastrami Rueben sandwich was incredible! Don't order the large unless you're hungry or plan to share it because it's big any rich with perfectly marbled pastrami.
ricky blankenship: Best Deli in St.Louis!!!

Also, who are you tipping? There are no servers! The small servings are way over priced. Fries do not come with sandwich. They are $5 extra. We bought drinks ( soda, water) at the connected bar which also needed a tip.The food, though unique was not that good.Don't expect a meal. Expect an expensive light snack

Mark Zeman: Attached to the Tamm Avenue Bar, this small counter service place offers basic but tasty smash burgers and a few specialty sides. It's unfortunate that they don't sell beverages; you have to go next door to the bar, which means standing in line twice. Sidewalk seating is pleasant in the fair weather.
codey harvey: Food was delicious. Went with 8 family members. Everyone enjoyed their food. EXCELLENT MEAL
Robert Barnacle: I really enjoyed the burger with pastrami on it. The arancini were delicious. I will definitively coming back to try the rest of the menu.
Nicole Marie: We ordered the Pastrami Sandwich, Kimchi Brussel Sprouts, and the Pickled Beet Salad. Cool space that goes on and on with a bar and a game room in the back. The pastrami sandwich had an amazing smoky flavor with a mild heat to it. The Brussels sprouts were charred to perfection with a tangy kick of kimchi and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Pickled beet salad was great with the pastrami sandwich. Staff was very friendly and offered a huge selection of beers and mixed drink. We’ll definitely be back.

Shapiro's Market: what do users think?
Russ Aagaard: New guy makes a great sandwich!
Danielle: First time trying Shapiro's Market and I'll definitely be a regular now. The BEST potato salad I've ever had. Sandwich was solid too! Overall, amazing place!
Yu-Liang Yeh: This place offers the best sandwich in town and a fantastic selection of food products with reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend Shapiro's market.
Ja'nia Moore: It's a small store there's never a lot of customers in the store they truck 🚛 came in and unloaded in the store there was an item that wasn't on the shelf I asked the clerk since there weren't any customers if she would go and get the item for me she refused.🤷🏿‍♀️🤦 Even schknucks a big grocery store like that would go to the back to see if they have the item you are looking for 🤬🤬😡😤😤
Elizabeth Twente: This place is never disappoints. I love the fresh meats the fresh subs. Quality customer service.
Jacob Ciolino: Shapiro’s is a St Louis icon. I always make a point to bring out of towners here. Every sandwich this place produces is respectfully buss’in, and there are new sandwiches all the time. The snack and drink selection is incredible, but the food is only 5% of the reason why you should go there. The other 95% is for the charisma and gregariousness of the owner. Regulars know that you will get treated to world class customer service and maybe even a succulent propagation. Forget every other status symbol you know, the true sign of success is getting on a first name basis with the owner.
Noah miller: Very good deli good prices
Lord Rev. Shaun Boswell: Very small shop. Deli in the back. High prices on items here. Deli would be the only reason going, although I could here a slicer in the back, there was no one to place an order. Stood around a few minutes, no one popped out.
Kevin Stringer: I go here at least once a week for lunch, excellent selection of sandwiches and everybody at the store is super friendly and easy to chat with. Could not recommend a local spot higher.
Tiyon Winston: The Best cheese eggs, and bacon sandwich on the freshest bread!! The customer service as excellent!
Alonzo A: Stopped in for some breakfast this morning and was helped by an extremely nice gentleman. Had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Eggs were cooked nicely, bacon was perfect. But that bread, wow! Great bread, soft yet chewy. Very clean spot and has all essentials. Reminds me of the bodegas in NYC that I used to frequent. Stop in, it's a gem in a neighborhood that doesn't have a lot to eat in that immediate area.
keith ford: Great food and service.
ShawtyDumbThickk: They are not friendly here..Only to the whites
Y33zy3tym3z tiktok: I love this store i been comi g here for 3 years and its amazing place

Jeff Plescia: Insanely good sandwiches. Try the Ziggy
Bryce Urbany: Dive spot for grade A inventive sandwiches
mikexhenning: Just had the grilled rib special. A little char on the outside, tender on the inside. Minimal tendons/gristle. Delicious side dish. Generous portions.
Chyna Jones: I always go to the market, which everyone is always nice but today I had the Steak n Cheese deli sandwich, No onions, AND ITS THE BEST SUB I EVER HAD. I almost went back to get another because the first bite was so good. It does have jalapeños and banana peppers in it and I love that 🤤🤤🤤❤️ get you one ASAP.

Robert Smith: My 5 & 10yo give this place 5 stars, and I agree.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Clover Seely: Very delicious and reasonably priced!

Pamela Martinez: I’ll never be able to eat another sandwich again. best I’ve ever had.
matt staw: Great food, quick service, and the owner is a great dude and always making sure the customers are taken care of. Our office orders weekly from this shop and it never disappoints.
Mischelle Reynolds: If I could give this place zero stars, I would. It was terrible. I didn't get what I ordered for 13 people and almost everyone ended up throwing their food on the trash. It. Was. So. Bad.
Shae Allen: I walked in and ordered the Experience. It was tasty. But I payed for it later. I literally woke up with stomach cramps running to the bathroom - all through the night. Not sure how fresh the ingredients are. I’m literally leaving a review at 1:30 in the morning on a Wednesday and I have to be up for work. I’m literally questioning how this sub shop handles their products. Beware because obviously I’m not the only one.
Sarah Trusk: Phenomenal sandwiches here! I love that they put cream cheese on some of the sandwiches on their menu. Great customer service, totally consider checking it out.
Wilson Shanks: My girlfriend took me here and it was amazing! Totally recommend.
Ramona Johnson: This was my first experience with Planet Sub. I ordered and paid online which was great. I did not like being forced set up an account before paying. Also, be careful if paying online; the box that asks if you want your card info saved is automatically checked. When I pulled up, there were so many people loitering on the side walk, I almost kept going. My food was ready when I arrived. The taste was just ok...nothing to write home about.

myname1975able: Great food.... salads are huge and they have an ooey gooey brownie that's worth the calories..... only negative is that they're always out of salmon... so you can forget about the lox and bagel option. RM: The food at snarfs is delicious. It has been in my monthly rotation of lunch since it opened.Heres the things you should know. Order ahead it can take a very long time to get your food ordering from the counter. Secondly ive found about 25% of the time i get the wrong order and about 75% of the time something is missing from my order. The food is still good so even if you get the wrong sandwhich or missing every topping you added its still tastey. Like today my bowl of minestrone i ordered is a cup of chilli. It's still pretty awesome chilli wish it was at least the bowl size i paid for. Always suprised to see what i get in my bag!
LT Rich: When I went to Snarfs it was Thursday around 12 p.m. the customer service was good, but the wheat bread on my sandwich was very tough and there was not a lot on the sandwhich besides meat and cheese and the extra pickles I paid for. Also the fountain drinks were very nasty. They tasted normal but the aftertaste reminded me of when you get perfume in your mouth. The drink was not worth the $3 that we paid for it, in fact it should have been free. The drink alone brought the experience down by a lot.

Jayson Slobodzian: My go-to sub shop downtown. Would highly recommend the pastrami & swiss or corn beef & swiss. Shane: Not going to lie, Snarf's was much better than I expected for a first time visit. Yes the reviews are good but that doesn't always translate to your own experience. The food is good and you won't be disappointed or hungry. Macaroni salad was just a plus to my terrific Italian sandwich. Facility was a little lackluster and bland but the food shines through!

Na. H: This is a very good spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Sandwiches are always on point and there are many options on the menu.
N. J. Sorensen: Snarf's Sandwiches MX in downtown St. Louis offers a fantastic selection of sandwiches that are a cut above your average sub shop. The menu has a wide variety of options, including hot and cold sandwiches, salads, and sides. What sets Snarf's apart is their use of quality ingredients, from the meats and cheeses to the bread and vegetables. Each sandwich is made to order and is served on fresh-baked bread that is soft and chewy. The bread options include white, wheat, and gluten-free, and there are even options to have your sandwich served as a wrap or salad. The sandwiches are generously stuffed with meats, cheeses, and toppings, and are full of flavor. Overall, Snarf's Sandwiches MX is a great spot to grab a satisfying and delicious sandwich, whether you're in a rush for lunch or looking for a relaxed meal.
