Amy Kettenbach: RUNI noticed on my third (and very much final) visit that I’m consistently the only woman in the salon getting my hair done. It’s consistently men, children, and an occasional elderly woman.I have spent anywhere ranging from $300 to over $500 a trip and have left each time looking like I got butchered at a hair school.My request yesterday was simply “please get the orange out and make it brown”. Brown. How this ended in me rocking the Ginger Spice and all of my hair broken, I just can’t say. But I paid $326 and they sent me away saying they’d fix it for free. Well, third strike. I can’t go to work like this so I’m going to have to buy box dye.
Dr. Jenifer Mersman: Was happy with the salon & my hairdresser for two years, then all of a sudden my hair got ruined-burnt broken & orange. I worked very hard to grow it out and was accustomed to color. I paid to have it fixed. Paid for products to help damage. Never saw a manger. Never got a sorry. Just “oops”. They fired the stylist and just canceled my appt. Via text. Called salon & I asked to speak to a manager. No one returned my call or cared. Meghan Fendler: I cannot rave enough about Salon Fleur de Lis. I've been with my stylist Trista for 8+ years. She's fabulous and ALWAYS knows what to do with my hair. We've known each other for a long time now, she never judges when I make a mistake taking care of my hair. She always makes me feel welcome and gives great advice on products and hair care. There have been a few times where I've had to cancel due to job obligations and she has been nothing but kind about it and I always make sure to reschedule. I've had to go to other stylists at the salon because of my crazy work schedule and Trista is always understanding and even helps provide names if she's not available during the schedule I need. She's the best and I highly recommend her and the ladies at Salon Fleur de Lis! It truly feels like therapy when I'm there and provides me with some much needed "me" time. T V: I really love this salon. My first visit was amazing and love the work that the beauticians does. But i wish i had not gone back after noticing that my hair on one side has come out. I got a relaxer in the back of my hair only a month prior to coming back but I did not get the front relaxed at the time. I wanted just the front relaxed this time around but mind you the beautician said i needed both top and back relaxed after telling me the appointment before that my hair was damaged.. So I trusted that. She knew when i came in last so she should had known that it was too soon. I should had listen to my first mind and not had her do it. Now on the right side of my hair is damaged further than it already was. It looked beautiful before this last visit. But now its a space in the back of my bob where my hair is broken off.. I wish i would have let the owner do my hair instead . She seem more knowledgeable. But I won't be returning. The last straw on why i won't return is the young lady that did my hair rubbed me the wrong way when I asked could she use rods on my hair rather than heat on the next appointment. The response I received was shocking she said Really you already get relaxers why does that matter weather she use heat or not.. I laughed it off but really pissed that she would say that. That was the last straw because You should never address a client on their hair when your a paying customer. I won't say her name but I would hope in the future that she would get more training and listen to her customers request.

Amanda Vernon: I have curly hair and have really struggled to find a great stylist. Heather at Lemon Salon has been amazing. I’ve stopped “shopping around” since seeing her and now come to her every time I need my hair cut. She’s 100% worth it. I always leave with a haircut I love, and she’s always so open to my questions and happy to explain her haircutting and styling process. I highly recommend her! (Note: my hair is colored in my photos but that’s done at home by me. I’m sure her coloring skills are far superior to what you see in my pics :) )

Although she was really nice, my curtain bangs came out really uneven with one side much heavier and in places randomly shorter than the other. Jessica Francavilla: My rating is a combination of experiences with two stylists. One was inexperienced; my simple cut took 2x the time, and she “didn’t have time” to get my cut the way I asked. The second stylist is very experienced but has poor taste IMO. He can probably execute on specific requests just fine, but I wouldn’t ask for his recommendation on a style. I went for a cut before an important event abroad and he did a style that didn’t complement my features or preferences. I got it re-cut while abroad.

She's happy to adjust things to your personal tastes rather than try to fit you into a mould, too. I've had several haircuts there, too, and they were all good. My usual stylist had to move so I'll be trying a new one here soon and I'm very optimistic.

I went for a trial run, and based on my feedback from that, she easily and patiently adjusted to my needs for my wedding. I changed things up on her with my hair on the day of, and she worked with me until I got the exact look I was wanting. Perfection! Everyone complemented me on my hair and makeup all night! I could not have been happier (and I'm super picky)! She is really talented with playing up your natural beauty with some pizzazz and not plastering on a mask of makeup like some other make up artists I've experienced. She did my mom's hair and makeup as well, and my mom looked beautiful. I will for sure use her again if needed!

Nicole White: I have been a client of The Hair Lab for many years. My love for the Lab is vast, as it truly is the best! Emily is phenomenal and her staff is exemplary. After stepping away from the Lab (for a short time), I returned and required an extensive color correction. Upon my return, I was booked with one of the Lab’s newest team members, Tom. At my appointment, I explained (to Tom) my situation and ultimate hair goals. Tom was understanding, accommodating, and confident that he could return my hair to all of its blonde glory- with the caveat that additional sessions would be required to achieve my ultimate hair color goal. To say that I left my appointment happy, would be an understatement. Tom is extremely talented, which is evident by his attention to detail and the finished product. Alice Marigold: I went to get dimensional highlights today and a hair cut. I showed many reference pictures of what i was looking for to my hair stylist (don’t know the name) and he seemed to understand. I wanted face framing highlights and subtle blending to make them less stark. But i walked out with Octomom-esque highlights, chunky as could be. Truly nobody but me has had these highlights since 2006. I look like a 1999 bondi beach surfer boy and not in an ironic hip way. And i couldnt even properly judge my haircut at the salon because 3/4 of my head is a ball of grease from too much product (an issue that my hairstylist was aware of and attempted vaguely to fix, but did not actually fix).
