That was the area she spent the most time on. My masssage was horrible!!!! I woke up in so much pain today. Then when I went to pay she ask how much tip. I told her and she added that in my balance then handed me the receipt and I notice she added my tip to the balance so she could get 2 tips! I would not recommend this place after my experience last night. I went to relax, instead I was stressed and hustled!! One star!! She made the entire business loss credibility with me!!! I will let everyone I know my experience!

Rick McMillen: You must go here. We have had a 70 and 90 minute couples full body massage. Frontal and back. Head shoulders legs and feet, flip over and they start from top to bottom again. Absolutely amazing. I opted for the HARD version for my 90 minute and she worked out so many areas that are all connected. Once she found out where all the tense areas were especially my lower back she went and worked from feet and neck toward lower back and it was amazing.Expect somewhat of a language barrier. Make sure you call ahead as times may change or be delayed.You will get a 20 minute foot soak while they work on your head neck arms IT bands etc. You will end up on your stomach and finished with hot stones. We wear underwear and they provide a sheet to keep you covered and a towel over your eyes as they climb all over the table with fingers, knuckles, elbows, and forearms focusing on relief of tense or sore areas.

The only thing I didn’t like was there was only a curtain between me and the main walk path and it is easy to expose a person through the curtain. The other issue was the phone kept ringing and she had to go answer it. That said, the massage itself was really good and my partner and I were pleased with it.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and felt immediately at ease. As for the services themselves, I opted for a massage and it was fantastic. Rae was skilled and attentive, making sure to tailor the treatment to my specific needs and preferences! I also love that they offer local products to buy. I will definitely be back!

Their choice of body products in their retail section are too notch too!My preferred services are a 90 minute message or a herbal body scrub.If you get services done regularly then I suggest doing the membership- 100% worth it! You get a savings and some perks here and there.

Had a facial Friday ( love it) But today service was horrible I wanted to cry. Daniel started off applying cold lotion to my back the room was freezing with 2 fans and air on .The massage had long pressure pauses ( very painful) and she softly massage the palm of my hands( I felt nothing) feet never massaging the toes or fingers .EVENTHO I asked for special attention to that area.

Killed my energy, I didn’t smile anymore after that. He was vocal during the massage, and the massage was okay. But I feel everyone always put so much pressure on my body, when I always ask for a pleasant massage, I want them to put me to sleep. At the end, while he was at the desk, I was waiting on a receipt. But he said something along the lines of, “giving a tip would be the right thing to do”. It shocked me, that he came off like that. Though I already had the tip in my back pocket, was just waiting on the receipt. Still gave him the tip $10, no Thank you.

Nicole Shifflett: If I could give less stars I would, this was the worst massage I've ever received. On Saturday I got a Groupon for a 60 minute massage. Alma was my LMT. I sincerely don't know how she even got licensed. For starters she didn't even pay attention to the locations I wanted, which was shoulders, hip ares, feet and scalp. Her idea of a deep tissue massage was practically punching down and dragging with her knuckles on my arms and legs. She asked at the beginning if I'd like stretching. Her idea of stretching was grabbing my limbs and waving them around wildly without warning while completely missing the pressure points I know she was trying to reach. I felt no stretching and I feel like since I mentioned I'm hypermobile she just wanted to see how far I will go. My OBGYN gives me more heads up when she touches me in odd spaces. The worst part about initially receiving it was being slathered in lotion to the point the massage table sheet had peaks of lotion when I got up that looked like whipped cream. I had to gohome and take a shower go get the slime off of me. The scalp massage hurt like she was scratching with her nails. I wasn't going to write a review until I noticed she bruised my arms and legs from how much repetitive knuckle dragging on my legs and arms. I feel violated. Needless to say I will not be returning.
Jessica Valerio: My husband and I are in St. Louis from the Chicago area and we really wanted massages. The reviews for this place were great and they offered prenatal so we gave them a try. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. Literally one of the best massages we have had and we have had many. Namiah gave an amazing prenatal massage. I felt extremely comfortable and the pressure was the firmness I was looking for. Cearan was my husbands therapist and he said the pressure was perfect, he asked for preferences and followed them. The massage was relaxing but also worked sore, tense muscles. We both really enjoyed our experience and wish we didn’t live 5 hours away.

Elle Hammond: A little torn on this one — my massage therapist’s technique was absolutely incredible, but I came in for a very acute reason, which I shared, and I felt that reason/area was given barely any attention compared to other parts of my body. I have lots of shoulder knots from circus/aerial arts, and I told my therapist I see someone for that (so I’m aware they exist and I’m not as concerned about them compared to the acute lower back pain I am experiencing). Most of the massage felt dedicated to my shoulders. Today, my shoulders feel great, but that’s not what I was going for, and my mid- and lower-back have no improvement.

She keep stopping the session to go outside of the room!!! Ok well after 10 min had passed I heard two customers come in and she went out the room again. She came back and said I have to end your session it was 7:45 pm I started at 7:00pm I did not get a refund for my time and she still wanted a tip!!! I will never go back to this mistake of a spa and I will never recommend this place to anyone poor customer service!!! I was deceived out my money for the hour I paid for and did not receive this place is a scam and should be closed!!!!!!

Stacy Sherrod: This place is absolutely wonderful. The building and grounds are lovely, quaint and very inviting. Charlene was my massage therapist and was extremely skilled and intuitive to the stress I carry in my body. I came in very stressed and am leaving so relaxed and content. This place is wonderful and the experience was worth every penny. I highly recommend.
Lynne Hart: We had to very excellent massages and the location is beautiful. Scheduling could be a bit better. After scheduling we were called and told they didn't have 2 separate rooms and they asked if we would mind to share a room. We were happy to accommodate, but then they wanted to charge us 30 extra dollars, which doesn't seem like the right way to do business when we are accommodating your needs. What they don't know is that I actually don't prefer to be in the same room, because my partner talks through the entire massage! So I am really making an accommodation for your convenience not mine and certainly not going to pay more when I'm accommodating you. After a bunch of fussing I was just about ready to cancel the whole thing when they decided to see if they could fit us in, and later that day they called to say that they were going to continue with the reservation as it was. When we arrived there didn't appear to be anybody else there, and we were put in a room together. Both are masseuses were fantastic and will definitely be back but are certainly confused about what is actually going on. We didn't actually see any individual rooms so I'm not sure how we would book massages individually at the same time in the future.
Chris Williams: Without a doubt, the most relaxed and clear minded I’ve ever been in my LIFE. Natasha was so welcoming and truly cared about her work. The amount of peace her massage brought to my life is priceless. All the staff are very approachable and the vibe was perfect. I will absolutely be back, very soon. I don’t even do reviews, but this deserves praise.

Sarah McBride: Our experience at Secret Garden was fantastic. I highly recommend if you are looking for a quality massage and a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. My fiance and I had a couples massage together and it was the best massage I have had. Sara and Ivory made us feel so comfortable and at ease. My fiance has been very sore from intense workouts and he left our massage session feeling so much better. We loved the old fashioned feel and decor of the building. It felt very homey and we were at ease the entire time. We also added the additional hot tub soak and it was the perfect way to end the whole experience. I hope to be back if I'm ever near St Louis again!
Faith Stein: Even before my booking my appointment, staff was very helpful in scheduling the right treatments and time slots for me. My friend and I both had fantastic massages from Ashland- major props, the hot stones were an extra treat for us. Also had a lovely facial from Katie, who was great with checking in throughout the process. Would totally recommend the Garden Goddess package (or any massage/facial services) to anyone.
Ryli Aiken: We had such a wonderful time at secret garden spa! The staff were all kind and inviting. You come in and take off your shoes and hang up your coat and feel right at home. We booked the romantic couples massage and the room was perfect. I loved all of the flowers and plants that were in the spa. Will hopefully visit again in the future and would recommend this place to everyone.

Jazmyn Bias: I absolutely loved the ambiance of Secret Garden. Although there was no welcoming music, whether zen or ambience music, the static esthetic was still pleasing. My friend and I came on the day of my 32nd birthday. We got the Goddess Package which was a massage/facial package. Altogether, we paid a little over $500.00 including gratuity. The massage portion was great, however the Esthetician used over the counter products for a $200.00 facial. There was ZERO consultation on both ends. Neither practitioner did one, asked questions, asked about reservations or contraindications, etc. Neither asked what was bothering us, what products we use at home to make sure all is safe during a spa procedure, what we were looking for in this “Spa” experience. The Esthetician was on her phone DURING my “facial.” I happened to notice once I opened my eyes. They used Alexa throughout the room for music, but the manager stated she was on her phone to set up music … during the service. *Alexa is not ran through a phone.*If anyone is paying $200.00 for a service, all preparations need to be made. The practitioner needs to be on time, which they weren’t, music needs to be ready, which it wasn’t, and adequate products and care need to be made .. which it wasn’t. The manager gave a $25.00 discount because all of our services weren’t rendered, which we were appreciative for but for the price, I would most definitely go somewhere more sterile, accommodating, and thorough.

On my first visit, I was offered water in a floral teacup with a crunchy minty seed that had come FROM THEIR GARDEN which I think sums up the vibe of this place! Very cute and relaxing. I've received a massage from Debbie that was so relaxing I felt like I was melting into the table after it was over and bah gawd the will it took to leave. I also got a massage from Leah which was the BEST massage I've ever had for my knots. I still think about that massage! I visit St Louis only occasionally but I plan to see Leah every time I do. Also all of the massage therapists here I've talked to (and I talk A LOT) have been so friendly, welcoming, and open to conversation! Great vibes, great people, and great massages :)
Briana: Leah was great. I haven't gotten a massage in months and she was somehow able to get all the knots out of my body in an hour. My neck and upper back are my problem spots and she took extra time and care to make sure that all the tension was released.I think this is the first time I will be going to bed without pain in a long time! Also the space is really quirky, cute, and charming! I thoroughly enjoyed and can't wait to be back.

(It's called "Secret Garden" so be ready to search for it as it's kinda tucked away across the street from a brewery)

Both of us had excellent therapists and they were spot on with the massages. They hit all our tight spots and we feel amazing! Will definitely be going back!

Jaques Gainey: I was very happy with my massage the therapist did an excellent job. She applied the perfect amount of pressure being mindful of the bony areas. She even took special care not to make my hair frizzy, she literally covered my hair and made sure it was tucked all in so she didn’t mess up my curls. That alone was a step above the rest. The prices are great too. Will definitely be back for a couples massage next week. Hubby has to try them.
BA Laris: A very relaxing and soothing environment. Three of us went together and all had a great 30 minute feet and 30 minute body combo. The hot rocks on my back were amazing!

My only issue was with booking the spa party itself There was a $12.00 party fee per guest, per cupcake order (that I cancelled because I refused to pay $38 for 4 cupcakes)I have no issue in paying for a service but when asking for an itemization of services that charge was not outlined in the services, in the signed contract or online. I questioned the coordinator she just repeated the charge. I didn't argue any further as to salvage the experience for my girls. Her response time was very slow, paying for the party difficult. Even so I still would recommend them just be sure you are aware of what you are paying for upfront.

I’m a gym centric person and seldom find a massage I will swear by, but this place has it. I’ve never fallen asleep getting a deep tissue massage until here. The therapists are attentive and even will show you stretching once the massage is finished for parts they found tender (my legs). The price point is reasonable and with the monthly rate, you can add on heat or aromatherapy.

Bumpy as...Noisiest massage experience as well: the fan was louder than the music & the music was pretty loud. The chair the massage therapist rolled around in was also noisy due to the hardwood floors. Staff also dropped heavy items outside of the room.I did voice my concerns to the staff, but I doubt it was passed along, as I wasn't met with much empathy for an average $80 noisy massage.
Emily Regenold: First off I would like to say that after we received our couples massage and facials, we both feel incredibly relaxed. The scheduling process was very professional and they were accommodating to have us add on facials just a day prior to our appointment. We were sure to tip our girls well because you can tell they all work very hard to provide good services. The one recommendation I would have is that the staff read through the intake forms prior to your arrival. I specified medium pressure and avoidance of my neck because of a chronic condition but received pretty firm pressure throughout, neck included. During the massage, she was receptive when I asked her to discontinue which I appreciated. She was very friendly and explained her expertise in correcting these types of issues. Today, I feel a little sore but I think I’m the long run, it’ll definitely ease some of the tension I’ve had. In all it was a day we’ll spent to celebrate my honey’s birthday. He feels like a million bucks and that’s what matters!

Molly Smith: My husband and I had a couples massage while we were here for the weekend. It was his first one, but I've had several before. I cannot say enough good things of how wonderful the entire experience was. The place was soothing, smelled good and was very clean. It's in an older building and has no sign out front, but don't judge a book by its cover. This was one of the best massages I've ever had. He truly took his time to ensure you were comfortable, attentive to pressure points, and checked on you throughout. He was also such a kind person. Thank you so much. We will 100% be back when we come back to town.

I judge a massage by how I feel, the fact she is certified, her professionalism, and by not being dehydrated before the massage but being very thirsty after. This is caused by a great massage removing lactic acid from the mussels. This was the first massage I've had ever where I became thirsty DURING the massage. She could not have done a better 90 minute deep tissue massage!

There is no sign in the front, but don't let that dissuade you at ALL. The staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere comfortable immediately upon entering. They were watching for me and immediately welcomed me as I went up the steps. I enjoyed the soft music being played that was different than nature sounds that other places use. The massage was relaxing, and giant tension areas in my upper back were worked out while I was checked on periodically to make sure the pressure was acceptable. The massage therapist absolutely knew what they were doing and I would highly recommend this place to friends, family, and anyone else.

Ashley Fisher: I had a massage with Leo today, and it was fantastic. I've had pretty awful back/shoulder pain for about 10 days, went to the chiro last week, but it still didn't help. But with Leo, it finally feels SO much better. I've had a lot of massages at other local spas and other places around the US, but this was the best massage I've ever had. Super friendly, too! Looks like a nice set up but the appointments and customer service isn’t syncing yet. My appointments at 10 booked through boosky and was Canceled twice without my input. And i arrived at 9:47 and nobody spoke to me until i called the service line obviously and they reached out to someone who came out to tell me she would be right with me. I’m not sure but i think she just walked through the front door at 10:02 via their clock in the waiting area. Very unprofessional but maybe because it’s a Groupon and you don’t get good service for buying at a cheaper price.Update: The massage was decent and the therapist was nice and very pleasant. The atmosphere was really nice and comfortable. I took a star off because the therapist was late and there was no one in the lobby to assist me until I called the number attached to the groupon I was using. I was just a tad annoyed with that along with the tardiness as most therapist will schedule you a hour massage and cut it down to 50 minutes and spend ridiculous amount of time not touching dong God knows what but she didn't do that even though she was late she still gave me close to an hour.

Joel Fischer: My fiance and I are booked an hour-long massage here and it was the best massage that I have had. Leo made me feel comfortable and gave a wonderful deep tissue massage. One thing that stands out about my visit is that Leo talked me through all of the tight muscle spots as we encountered them. I felt that my massage was tailored to me and my body. I have had muscle trauma to my ankle and lower back and he was able to diagnose and begin to release the tightness from those muscles. His approach was all about improving overall muscle health, movement, and growth. We both feel great and relaxed! We will definitely be back!

She is very knowledgeable in body mechanics and incorporates light stretching and mobility with the massage. One thing that was unique that I particularly liked was her holistic approach. She didn’t just rub each body area individually, but rather she connected everything to the neck and back, which was incredible. I am from out of town, but will definitely be back the next time I am in the area.
