Budget Inn - St. Louis: what do users think?
Mark Lyons: I Liked It and enjoyed my Stay when I was there around the Holidays and I asked for A good room and they willingly delivered. My room was clean and fresh Bed was great , Staff/owners was nice . Know Drama with Surroundings . *I would like to think Hazelwood Budget Inn is still the same and will visit there again for SURE👍Noteworthy details: Efficient for a person who has a Simpler Way of Doing things not necessarily looking for Luxury, just a good SAFE Clean Quiet comfortable room and nicely ask/tell them that's what you Expect or want in your stay there etc..
Daniel Bahmani: Pros: affordable, parking, hot water/pressure/ not dirtyCons: the room reeked of cigaret smoke and just wouldn't go away. I asked to change my room due to the odor and they refused due to their rule of 10 minutes. Basically because I asked them in 20 minutes they didn't want to try.If you're in customer service industry, at least try to make your customer happy. I didn't pay you $57 that was worth $50, so why do you want me to accept that sub standard room??They were not at their desk at 11am when I wanted to check out, so I had to throw the card under their bulletproof window's opening!Maybe you get lucky or a somker, otherwise I'd avoid this place.*** I picked up my long sleeve cotton shirt from the trunk of my car and in reeked of cigarette smoke two nights later in Richmond Virginia!!That just goes to show how bad it was!
Lisa Spivey: This hotel need's to be shut down. It is drug infested. There's thieves it is a horrible hotel. Police are there every few day'sRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
cathy schmidt: The room 239 they put us in the light fixtures we're hanging off the wall exsposing wires, no smoke detector, the bathroom light didn't work. I asked them for days to fix it. Because I fell and still didn't. Ex mantanice guy bought one and instales it. When I said I fell they made me leave the next day.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Laurie Bell: Some of the staff is nice… I tryed to get house keeping to bring clean sheets and towels, Never happend…. Room was not very clean either walls were very dirty.
Carlos Diaz: Nasty
Crystal Staggs: Cheap and easy ,, not the best on clean
Stuart L. Willman: Nothing in the room except a bed. No towels no lamps not even a phone. What happened to this place it was nice when Oyo first took over now it is a mess!!!
Brit Brat: Dirty
Karen Hogan: Door handle was broken
anthony lewis: I wouldn't recommend this place to another human being this is the most disgusting place I've ever seen
ORiON “·[θ·G]·” GREENEY: Horrible service. Nasty rooms. They steal peoples money after they pay & look at rooms and decide they don't want them. They careless a bout this place, I believe near to be shut down!!
DaaiB Lou Money: I buss down my ladys here
Tammy Warren: There is no motel here

Chris Daugherty: Customer service over the phone is terrible. Would not recommend this establishment.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Deandre Gorman: It was a good hotel but it not open yetRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More

joerg seifert: First time staying here and I was disappointed. Let's start with the really good. The common areas look very nice and the decor is great. Free coffee, water and newspapers in the lobby. I have had breakfast here before and previously posted a good review. The bar is nice but closed pretty early. It did not really seems like a bar to hang at. The hotel is very close to St Louis University and parking is great. The shower was awesome. The good - My interaction with the staff was limited but good. The person that checked me in did not seem overly excited that I showed up, but that's ok. Later on, I had some question for the front desk and they were very pleasant and helpful. The bed was also pretty comfortable. The odd - I could never get on the WiFi. The hotel seems to use the University guest WiFi and if that’s arranged with the university, then that’s ok, but if you are just stealing the university WiFi, then that’s not right. The bad. The room was very small (which is ok) but it was very worn and needed better cleaning and tlc. The first thing you see is a huge stain on the carpet in the middle of the room. They don’t have rug cleaners in St Louis? There were a couple stains on the walls that I don’t even want to think about. The shades are stained or dirty and the furniture is beat up. The more I looked the more stains and scuff marks I noticed. I would have requested a different room if I had not been alone. This hotel really should have gotten a better rating but the more time I spent in the room the more disappointed I got. At this price, there are better quality options around.
Dean Christiansen: Great boutique hotel
Leonard Martin Struttmann: We were quite disappointed in our recent stay. For the amount that we paid, the room was showing its age: 1) One of the electric outlets did not work. 2) unsightly stains on the carpet, 3) lamp that was falling apart, 4) NOISY mattress! The evening we arrived there was NO food service available. But, most disturbing, each of the two days we were there a hotel staff member opened the door and walked in on us, unannounced, no knock, EVEN WITH THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN DISPLAYED. Even with the great location, I don't anticipate ever returning to this hotel.
Tara Frabotta: Chic nice customer service
connie hodges: Beautiful decor and friendly dtaff
Gabby Daniels: Overrated for what you get. The rooms smell stale and the bed is super loud but that’s not even my complaint. I came in last minute because I had a family member in the ER. When I decided to stay a second night they said that shouldn’t be an issue but the person working at 9pm couldn’t do it and to recheck in the morning. I recheck in the morning and they said the room wasn’t available so I had to find somewhere else. Thankfully the Angad is pretty much the same price and 100x nicer and walking distance from this place. I check my cc statements this week and have an additional $100 charge for my dog “urinating” on the carpet- which I have disputed because that’s not really possible, she’s good at holding it or using her potty pads, and if I wasn’t there she was crated in the bathroom. I have called TWICE now and been redirected to the GM who doesn’t answer so I’ve left vm’s asking if they can prove that even happened... no response. My family has come here SEVERAL times over the past few years and we will all be staying at Angad Arts from here on out.

Holiday Inn St Louis SW - Route 66, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Brian Bennington: This was a very nice hotel for the night. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff made Checking in and out simple and easy. The pool are was great. It had comfortable chairs and two fire pits. The location was in a good part of town so it is a must stay if you are looking for a hotel.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
CM D: Very clean and quiet hotel. While we were there, the building was under a bit of construction but it didn't really bother us. Staff were all super friendly. They are pet friendly which we loved.Very near a lot of shopping, restaurants, office park, and expressways. It was nice staying a little further outside the downtown area which is where we normally stay. We would return.Rooms: Clean and comfortable. I believe we were in a newly remodeled room and it was very modern with light coloring and no carpet. Loved that there was no carpet. Better for our pet and just felt cleaner.Safety: Felt like a very safe area of the city. It neighbors an office park and lots of shopping.
Jaylene Arnett: Obnoxious drunks at pool very late and staff did nothing.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 2/5 …More
Mark Dunlap: This hotel has the best staff I've encountered while traveling in past 50 yrs.Rooms: Were clean and neat.Noteworthy details: The front staff make sure u have anything u need for your comfort. Like a personal concierge.
Levi Nordmeyer: Very friendly staff, only negative thing about our stay is all the construction going onRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Mark Strain: We recently stayed at this location and it reminded me of a book that I recently read, Unreasonable Hospitality. The hotel is obviously going through some updates and there is some noise and mess due to the construction, but the staff and management went out of the way to make sure we were accommodated during our stay. The breakfast place, Wakey Wakey, was really good and the service was great. Such a surprise as an option for breakfast compared to the other hotels in the area! The place has a new bar area that looks like its going to be great too! They provided extra towels for the kids to use at the AWESOME new pool area. The new fitness center was great for me to sneak away for an hour to lift and clear my head. The place has a new bar area that looks like its going to be great.I know that next time we need to stay somewhere in the St. Louis area, it will be here!!
Tracy Stamper: This hotel is wonderful! Location is key! Close to EVERYTHING in the STL area. Best steakhouse in town just right next door, beautiful fitness center, amazing pool (wish I was coming here more this summer), the staff is unbelievable always there with anything you might need! Yes the hotel is under construction (you may have to walk an extra 10 feet) but it's not a nuisance especially since I'm really not in my room throughout the day as I'm exploring the city. The rooms are clean, bathroom is clean. There are several floors that are under construction and others that are not but don't be fooled the ones that are not are still clean & comfy!Rooms: Clean, comfy, spaciousNearby activities: Most things in STL are within 15-20 minutes of driving. Going to the Cardinals game, stay in this safe area with tons of restaurants nearby.Safety: Safe areaFood & drinks: Twisted Tree Steakhouse is right next door which also offers a delicious breakfast at Wakey Wakey - DON'T SLEEP ON THIS, it's absolutely delicious!Noteworthy details: The courtyard area is fantastic, if you have nice weather during your trip bring your swimsuit!!
Jago Sevetar: Most beautiful room I've ever bought for less than 120. Oddly bad bathroom fixtures. Loose faucets and un-covered fill holes in the tub. Very comfortable, felt kind of like a veneer over some very shoddy construction. Perfect A/C and bedding, just seemed badly put together
Amy Martin: We had wonderful staff at the convention. Anger portion of the hotel. We will for sure be back.
Will F: Heads up...Under Construction. Front desk staff were friendly, clean room, very nice & new pool area and the fitness center is excellent.
Cory Smith: Very disappointed in our overall experience, and would not recommend to anyone. Our reservation was clearly for 2 queen beds and initially they seated us in a single king. Spoke with front desk and they said they gave away our room and there were no other queen bed rooms available and we could not cancel without charge. I asked to speak with a manager and they somehow found us a room with queen beds. We got locked out of our room once during our stay and had to reactivate our keycards. The hotel is also under a remodel, which resulted in limited parking.
Tyler Peterson: After finding out they hadn't received the company card (travel company used the info posted when they sent it), was made to wait for an hour at the front desk. I travel 90% for my job, and while there are issues sometimes with the hotels receiving payment info, I've never been forced to wait at the front desk more then 5-10 minutes. If it ever comes to that, I've always been given a room while the company and hotel hash out the details. Extremely frustrating when you have been traveling all day , then get forced to wait for no reason. And the cherry on top was even after the whole ordeal, they still charged my personal card instead of the company card, even though I specifically asked them to make sure it did not go on mine. Well never be going back to this exact hotel.
Terry Hudgens: They are working on the inside and outsideIt will be real nice when completedLocation: 5/5 …More
Nikki Lynn Konert: Beautiful new updates. Great staff.
Silas M: Some of the most comfortable beds that we've slept on. Even had us wondering the brand lol. Very friendly staff, nice rooms, and despite remodeling/ construction taking place we had a nice and quiet stay. Family friendly and dog friendly.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Josh Davis: If you’re looking for the included hotel breakfast; you’ve come to the wrong place.

Hotel Avyan: what do users think?
David Dorier-Sammut: Definitely a bad experience. You get charged an additional "cleaning fee" (yes in a hotel!), when the rooms are dirty as you come in. And they do not even make your room. The front desk people are the most incompetent people you'd ever see, they have barely any idea what they are doing. No self judgement, and no idea how to take care of a customer. This is a shame.
Kevin D Reed: THIS PLACE AND IT MANAGMENT IS HORRIBLE! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!......Update: It's been two weeks now and still have not got a refund or an apology, nothing. Come to find out that the manger gave me a fake name and fake numbers to call. The sign on the wall posted at the front desk by law was not even the right owner's of the building. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere. These people are liars and thieves in my opinion and they ripped me off. Update...... They never did make it right and I hope this review has cost them way more then they cost me. I will never stay at this hotel or any other Avyan since this happened. It has been quite awhile and it still burns me on how I was treated here.

Elizabeth Nelson: Checked in at 4 p.m. at 8p.m. power went out at -2° weather outside was told to contact hotel December 26 THE PHONE LINES ARE NOT WORKINGSafety: BACK DOOR OPEN 24 HOURS NO CAMERA
Gloria Mora: Simple and slightly shabby but you can tell it's just been around a while like the rest of the city lol I liked that you could smell the cleanliness, unlike several other hotels I've stayed at. Location was conveniently next to a small shopping center and staff was very friendly.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Franklin Conner: There was no hot water .And they would not do anything about it .They also charged me 25$ because I was 2 hr early to ck in. This place is just taking your money and you don't get what you paid for.Rooms: The carpet looked dirty and if you stepped on it with a white sock the bottom of the sock would be black
Cody Klaus: Stay away they lie about amenities and then can't help when wanting to leave. No wonder there is only 2 people here in a full hotel it's so bad the person said they will no long be checking in Sundays one foot in the grave runnRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Dude What: NOT BREAKFAST NO HOT WATER BATHROOM DIRTY. NO REFUND STAY AWAYRooms: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Francesca Giordano: Sporco!!!! C'era una saponetta in bagno usata piena di peli. La moquette penso sia ora di cambiarla perché è lercia. Appena arrivati non siamo stati accolti molto bene.
Brooklynn Thomas: STAY AWAY! they have BED BUGS! And wasnt trying to give us a refund . I literally had to leave at 2am and go straight to the laundromat. I slept in my car.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Woody Watkins: Location really hurts this hotel. The area around the hotel is very dirty and trash in the streets and sidewalks. I'm sure the crime rate is high in this area there were two major incidents in my two days I was thereRooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Donna Vanpelt: Three vending machines out of order, carpet in hallway large stains, water luck warm, outlet in bathroom not working, office chair broken, picture in bathroom had water stains in it, mirror not clean, and countertops dusty. I was charged a extra 10 dollar cleaning fee when the room was only subpar cleaned when I entered. I was charged 68 in taxes and fees that could not be explained to me because the manager was not in until 11am on the weekend.

Red Roof PLUS+ St Louis - Forest Park/Hampton Avenue: what do users think?
Rodney L Hendricks II: Much better experience than might be expected. Room was clean and the location made much of the city very accessible. The amount of marijuana smoking outside the rooms was odd putting (sorry not my thing, and grateful I didn't have my kids with me). That said the view of the skyline at night was gorgeous.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Just Doit: While having work done on my home I opted to stay here for 2 weeks it was quiet clean and the manager Ms. Jenkins is AMAZING, she is willing to help and make sure you are happy with your stay… the location is right near the highway , park & eateries.Rooms: Very clean and comfortableNearby activities: Park, zoo, Muny , museum
Lupita Borrego: We were walk-in guests as we were stopping after a long journey on the road and needed a place for our special guest (dog) to relax. The night staff was quick to offer a room and get us in all rested. Rooms were nice and clean, if a little old in appearance (but they were CLEAN!). We slept well and the dog had plenty of space to walk and do his business outside as well. We definitely recommend this place if you need a place to crash for a few hours
Harlie Arnall: The staff at the desk was rude. They only take credit or debit cards and nothing they consider "prepaid" including online bank cards. They put us in the wrong room 3 times. The lady at the desk never even check our reservation just kept sending us to different rooms until she guessed the right one. They taped a lady's cut in half card together to swipe it but wouldn't let us use my dad's card since he wasn't with us (in the hospital which is why we needed the room) We also had his ID and proof he was in the hospital(they gave us a hospital discount) then for reasoning said my mom could be his ex wofe and stole his card for revenge. The room we ended up in was just barely clean i.e no dusting or vacuuming the carpet. The phone and coffee pot were both unplugged and not working. The only decent part about the stay is the location and the shower. The shower has really good pressure. Also the lamp looks like someone threw it. The shad is torn up and has rips in it and the metal lamp it's self is dented.
Jeannette: Terrible experience, toilet didn’t flush bed like sleeping on the floor ,can’t take a shower and the room was not clean before i stayed,I’ve seen homeless shelters look better,I would not recommend staying here
Tenna Perry: Fast, friendly check in. Room was clean.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Holli E: Long story short- Safety risk, do not stay here. Like long stories? read below.Plain and simple, don't stay here if you value your safety or your ability to access your personal belongings. The negative reviews on here and on booking websites are extremely accurate particularly the one where the couple became locked in their room due to a faulty door handle....because the same happed to us, except we were locked out for almost an hour waiting on someone to let us in. We were not offered a new room upon access to our current room and had to ask for one. The issues with the second room were a safety risk as well. This hotel has your normal low end price issues, so those are not the things I complain about. I know what was paid for, Things like peeling paint, broken door frames, drywall falling off the wall in hand size pieces, water damage in the bathroom, leaky toilet, sub par fridge, terrible front desk staff that were often asleep in the lobby in the chair ect..... But the things that are a NEVER in a hotel......Bed frame broken, fully exposed outlet boxes that were not only OUT side of the wall but the full metal housing was out of the wall and not attached, Smoke detector battery was low and it was beeping and the hotel staff came in and flipped the battery upside down and stated "ill look into it next week", Faulty doors that will lock you out or even into your room requiring hotel staff to access your room through the AC unit. Sink faucet not attached to the sink...(yeah you read that right), visually dirty (not just stained) towels that were folded and in the room as "clean" ...there was actual mud in the form of a boot print in the center of one of the towels. The list goes on but these were the major ones other guests should be aware of when booking. I've stayed in some pretty bad hotels, this one is low medium range. It had a few nice features, the location is a decent location in ST. Louis. Right off the highway and close enough to down town to make commute easy but far enough away to not be sketchy. The rooms didn't smell like smoke or mold, the bed linens were clean and fresh and the water temp and pressure were really good in both rooms. But the above issues outweigh the standard low-mid range hotel experiences / price.Rooms: many things broken in the 2 different rooms I stayed in. 2 of the issues were major safety hazard and the front desk did nothing about it and didn't write any complaints down, so when I contacted the company I booked through the front desk stated there were no complaints on file and they will not issue a refund.Safety: Do not stay here if you value your physical safety.
Kenia Guerrero: I stayed in this hotel for 10 days, during which the room was only cleaned ONCE. On the day they "cleaned" they really only made the bed, they did not bother throwing away the trash, bringing new towels, changing the sheets or really anything. I repeatedly asked them to clean the room, they said they only did so on Tuesdays & Thursdays which is weird enough but even so, they didn't do it on said days. I went to the front desk and asked about this and received an awful attitude. So, I basically stayed in a dirty hotel room for 10 days. We're a mexican older couple and my spouse is a disabled person, so I don't know if this was a racist thing or if this is just the WORST hotel in existence,Rooms: DIRTY
JL Ross: The room was actually pretty great. 4 stars because you could only use the ac, fridge, and microwave one at a time. Some other outlets didn't work. We ended up having to move things around, including their lamp. Also, the back of the bathroom door, inside the bathroom, was dirty. It was literally the only dirty spot, though. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a fantastic little cheap motel. We would definitely stay there again.Nearby activities: Close to both Forrest Park and The Hill. You will want to visit both. The Hill is an Italian community that is lively and has great food! So many great things to love about it. And of course, Forest Park has the zoo, museums, golf, walking and biking trails, small boat rentals, and electric scooter rentals.Safety: We did not feel unsafe being here at all.Walkability: Many restaurants in walking distance. No need to drive for food.
John Malmberg (Draconis): First room had a broken door where we could not lock it. 2nd room was very dirty and had a smoke smell, plus the phone was broken and the power outlets did not work on the night stand.Nearby activities: very close to the zoo.
Karen Bock: If I could do a half star I would. Their was mold in the bathroom the floor was dirty, the blankets and sheets had stains, we had two room the room my husband and I stayed in was very hot the AC wouldn't kick on, the room my mom and kids stayed in was bad, coffee pot didn't work right, and the their floor was not clean that well. And their bed had stains on it. Not happy and will Never be back.Rooms: The beds was nasty, floor was bad, mold on the ceiling.
Blinkin Firefly: Probably one of the worst rooms I've ever stayed in. It smelled bad, the TV did not work, there was no drain plug for the bathtub when I needed to take a bath, couldn't find an outlet for charging my phone near the bed, and when we got back to the room after being out on our last night, the card would not open the door and we had to get a new one which was pretty inconvenient when we were tired and just wanted to go to bed. There was a smoker at the room next to us who was noisily hacking up a lung and gagging loudly. He rudely smoked right outside our room. So gross. I'm avoiding this place from now on.
American Trucker: Very, very poor placeDirty, dusty filthy no words to explain

Matthew W: Air conditioning was super loud, the downstairs restaurant burned something on the grill almost every night and filled the hotel atrium with smoke
D Woody: Great Associates, Great shuttle operators, and dining room staff. The hotel itself needs an update. Needs new carpet, paint, refinished tub/shower combo. Hoping they get this done because it's in an ideal location to down town St. Louis, Missouri.Walkability: Very easy walking to downtown ballpark, restaurants, movie theater, grocery stores, etc.

kobi elgazar: מלון ישן באיזור לא ידידותי , ארוחת בוקר מזעזעת.
Daniel Anderson: Staff was indifferent to major security issue in my room. The lock to the adjoining room did not work. The door would not close on its own. Looks like someone had tried to kick it in. Despite the severe damage and the fact my neighbor could have walked right in, font desk staff told me the hotel was full and they had no other options. Maintenance staff had no spare deadlocks to replace to damaged one so they shoved wood shims underneath. Those shims stuck out the backside so the neighboring room just had to push them back through. Also the furniture was too lightweight to use a jamb. It was clear to me the damage was old and the hotel simply did not care to repair it in time for a full weekend. They wanted to try to rent the room anyway. St Louis was busy but the staff did nothing to find me suitable alternative accommodations. After an hour of sitting in the lobby telling other guests about my room they magically found me another one with a broken AC. Disgusted at the lack of importance the matter received and how little the staff was going to do until I became a really squeaky wheel. Someone could easily come into that room to assault the occupant or steal their belongings
Vivian L. Sims: We had a few hiccups with the corporate reservation system but Cynthia at the hotel was PHENOMENAL and helped us so much with getting our booking situated. The room was nice and clean and comfortable, and much larger than expected. Would definitely stay here again :).Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Joe: I guess stay here if you'd like to be knowingly placed in a room with a/c problems, then spend two hours going up and down the rickety elevator testing key cards with your new room for the incompetent staff, be rewarded for the trouble with the worst imaginable complimentary breakfast, be pressed for a tip by the breakfast attendant, and then as a final f-you be accused of being a liar during checkout. At least that was my experience.
Tiffany Brandell: The lobby was nice, and the rooms have been updated. There currently is a lot of construction going on around the hotel, so it is a bit of a mess outside. Our room was very nice, though.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More

Lawrence Steiner: Nice quick, courteous check in. The room was cool with a refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave.
Lisa Brown: Dated and dirtyRooms: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 2/5 …More
K M: It was decent. Bathroom was very small. Not enough towels for 3 people. Entire hotel smelled like the pool (heavy chlorine smell). There was construction constantly going on outside so it was hard to relax, since our room was placed right near it. No provided breakfast, only offered a coupon for 1 person in the restaurant. Kinda rude seeing as you had 3 guests and we were Platinum members. Never had a Holiday Inn not have a morning provided breakfast. All there was, was a small store with drinks, ice cream and a few frozen meals. Not helpful when you have specific dietary needs and allergies to the items in the cold case.
