Mike's Bikes STL: what do users think?
John Landes: Good people, fair prices, great ser ice.
Jonnathan J Rodriguez: Nice experience, when there without appt and dropped off the bikes for a tune up, picked them up a few days later and took the for a ride around Forest park over the weekend. They feel great, appreciate the work they put on them! Totally recommended, might be back for some accessories. Go and check it out, they also sell and rent bikes, in case you have some friends and in town and want to show them the park.
Rishi Gattu: I thought this was a really honest bike shop. They did not try to upsell me anything, but helped me with what I needed. Both Eric and Matt were very helpful and nice. I will definitely be bringing my bikes here in the future.
Oliver Fend: I want to be fair to my local bike shop. This is the place I got within walking or biking distance after all. People here are friendly. When I had issues with my back cog on my fixie the mechanic made sure I went out the door with a functional bike that was safe to ride. When the time and care is put into my ride, it doesn't go unnoticed.I could complain about the prices, but I'm not the one who dominates the market in the CWE. The prices reflect the local economy which consists of the geared out dentist in a bright matching kit who rides for leisure.Where I have the biggest issue is that sometimes the priority is making a buck rather than honesty. I'm the last head in the area you should bust. I work as a bike messenger. I ride my bike in the city daily. When I come in for fresh tires I need durable lasting tires designed for STL streets. I can't be sold soft racing tires marketed to me as long lasting. Those tires lasted me a week. I understand wanting to help, but I wish it was a little more straight up. Situations like this break my confidence in this place. Big shark had tires for the same price designed for what I do. I could feel the difference on my thumb and index finger.I know more about bikes than the average Joe. It's my job to ride one. However I don't know everything, so my first inclination is to trust those who are around the parts all day.
Jezzabelle Arnold: Wow! Fixed my bike within a day, and when another part loosened I had it fixed in fifteen minutes! Paid less than I expected to, and on top of that not one bit of rudeness or condescension when I didn't know something! Almost perfect, only thing wrong with it is how hard it is to find from the street. It's in a grey building :)
Shauna Montoya: I absolutely would recommend Mike's Bikes to anyone needing work on their bike in STL. I have had an unprecedented number of fixes required as I use my bike to commute and they've always helped me with a fast turnaround and incredibly reasonable pricing. The guys that work in the shop are also very friendly and welcoming. I'm sure I'll be back in the shop soon, but so should you if you need any help with bikes
Taylor Bushnell: Eric at Mike's Bikes is a bike Wizard. I was having issues with my alignment of my single speed mountain bike and he problem solved and fixed it in no time. I would trust them with all my bike needs.
Brian Smith: Very friendly and helpful service.. I had a question about a bottom bracket (as they are a bit confusing with all the different specs that I guess are needed to purchase one: chainline, asymmetrical vs symmetrical, etc. ) and all was thankfully simplified by these guys..
Karen Ohara: I heard from friends they're fantastic
D. Dash: The guys at the shop do a great job, very professional. Got a much needed tune-up which needed further tweaking afterwards (internal hub)...they were responsive and got it fixed right away. Definitely recommend them for bike work.
Erik Edmonds: Great technicians, they really know their stuff. They aren’t just trying to make a sale, they want to make sure you get the bike that’s right for you.
Nicholas Gros: Brought my Heybike Mars and Lectric XP 2.0 to get the brakes adjusted and tires changed and they were super helpful. I brought it in Tuesday evening and got it back Wednesday morning. Reasonable price as well!
Yael Paley: Friendly people and great service! Got a flat tire and they replaced the tube in minutes. Came back the next day because I had taken the tire off but didn't know how to put it back on 😂 they showed me how to do it!
Joe Rubio: Fantastic service! Really thorough and knowledgeable team. Got a complete overhaul done here and 100% worth it. Will definitely be coming back!
Robert Gholston: Amazing customer service, the guys here really know their stuff and are quick and efficient with their service. Never been a cyclist before but coming here was the perfect introduction to it. Would rate 10/5 if I could!
Joseph Cherabie: Honestly the best customer service, always willing to help, educate, and accommodate. Recommend them to everyone!
JinSun Lee: I bought a really lovely bike and all the accessories here. The two bro were really kind and expert. I should have bought it earlier! Their brands worth the money. Thanks!!!!!! I love this store.
Carl Niermann: Fast, efficient service changing my tube after a valve ish this morning. I'll be back.Update: The bolt that held my seat on the post sheared off during a ride yesterday. I couldn't recover one of the mounting plates (lost in the weeds). Today the staff replaced my seat post in 15 minutes. Quick, easy, affordable. Great staff and service.
Joseph Roberts: The guy there was very polite and understanding. They easily serviced my needs,8 need minor repairs to my wheelchair
chaun walker: I dropped my son’s bike off because I tried to change the back brake cable and replace the brake pads.Long story short it didn’t go as planned LOL. I received a call about a week after I dropped off the bike and the person told me, I needed front and back brakes mind you I was just working on the bike so I know the front brakes were good. Next my rear wheel was bent LOL. With all the MYSTERY REPAIRS TOTAL WILL BE 165.00. I KINDLY WENT AND GOT THE PICKED UP THE BIKE. That same day I dropped off the bike at BICYCLES OF KIRKWOOD!!!!! I JUST PICKED THE BIKE UP AND MY BILL WAS A TOTAL OF 60.00 I WOULD UPLOAD THE RECEIPT IF POSSIBLE... Guess what he charged me for a BIKE TUNEUP!!!!! MIKES BIKE SHOP IS A RIPOFF!!!!!!
Andrew V: Nice locally-owned shop, always honest and fair pricing. Keeps my daily commuter running just right. New to the area but will be back.

LaBerta and Sons Cycles: what do users think?
William: I am super thankful for a perfect repair and extra for my needed and beloved bike. I have a can of lithium and shall lube.
Alison Reiheld: Quick fix when I had two flats in a row, got me rolling again. Awesome shop with loads of cool, weird custom bikes. Will definitely go back for servicing at some points. Strong recommend for a bike shop in the city (I usually use South Side Cyclery, but it is nowhere near when I am riding downtown or the river trails)
Arthur Schierhoff: Great service, he is very detail oriented.
WILL ROBERTSON: Fair fees and prices. Excellent, knowledgeable technicians.
Westley Wieland: Best bike shop in the world.
Amish Mustafa Khan: Positive:ProfessionalismMatt LaBerta is skilled, well-informed, and honest. A great bike shop for any frame work.
Jeremiah Johnson: Helpful, and know everything you need to know about buying, sale, and fixing bikes
Doug Franklin: The owner, Matt, knows his sh_t.I believe he wants 2c people ride so he won't steer ya wrong. He helped me line my bike out & yeah, it was outta line. Might seem a little hard 2find the 1st trip (off the street, up the alley, in the middle of the block). Cool spot really. It's worth your time 2stop in & check it out. Read the news article on the wall 👌
Khiid Phlash: I work at the ice cream shop next door that guy worked a miracle on my bike thanks man
P Van Der Tuin: Had the pleasure of training under Matt at another shop in town, Matt was always incredibly detailed orientated when it came to customers bicycles, taking the the time to triple check each and every bicycle that passed through the shop and was worked on by anyone in the shop. Even if it required staying late. Now days, Laberta and Sons is my go to recommendation for customers in need of frame repairs and custom frames.
Joseph Brown: It really pains me to do this, but… I had heard so many great things about Matt LaBerta. When a crack in the frame was discovered on my 2015 Raleigh Clubman, I had no qualms about leaving it with him. He originally stated in early January of 2022 it would take 2 to 3 months – TOPS. By the end of March, I was beginning to wonder and shot off an email. He stated with recent “equipment failures” at his shop, he was running way behind. A little communication here would’ve gone a long way. Would it kill ya to send out emails to customers letting them know? The bike was picked up on April 30, 2022.Now for the disgusting part; realizing the saddle height was a tad too high, I went to loosen the retaining bolt. It snapped in half. OK…OK…the bike is almost 7 years old. It could’ve happened at any time. But, the seat-post itself was very hard to move up or down. Upon finally getting the seat-post extracted, I was SHOCKED to see & feel there was NO lube or grease either on the seat-post or in the tube. The crack he repaired was at the junction of the seat-post tube & the top tube. Anyone with cycling knowledge whatsoever knows better. Good way for that seat-post to rust over time & get seized inside the tube – permanently!
andrew doom: Knowledgeable, laid back, and finishes the job when he says he will. Couldn't recommend this place moreUpdate: I have brought two more bikes in that were not rideable but are now perfect thanks to this shop. Best prices around hands down.
Gerard McMahon: Really appreciate thoughtful and timely effort of owner to get my bike back on the road while visiting from out of town and also to get my sister’s bike ready for cool season rides. Thanks!
Milton McDaniel: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Peter Downs: Always helpful
Mike Briner: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueOne of our bikes had an unfortunate encounter with a vehicle that threw the rear triangle out of alignment. Matt looked things over and was upfront and honest about the possible limitations of getting it back in spec and the cost. In the end everything worked out and the bike is back in action!
Wil Harris (Wil2bFree): This is the best bike shop I've ever seen. Matt was super helpful and knowledgeable. You'll love this place.
Mathew Kroth: Great shop! Great service. We chatted and worked on building this bike over a couple of months and I am so excited about the build. Great insight in how to set up the bike and what parts were gonna work great. Gonna come back for sure!
S. L. Hugh: Great! Brought my bike in to replace a headset and get a general tune-up. Wasn't expecting too much, just minor adjustments. I brought in a used bike with a fair bit of wear, and got back what looked and rode like a brand new bike. I rode her for 2 months before writing this review -- seemed to good to be true. Easy to schedule, turn-around was fast, and boy, am I happier! Highly recommend this place!
Ed Thompson: Positive:Quality,Responsiveness
Guy Link: I took my 15-year-old specialized epic to a well-known bike store in the area to get a tuneup and fix my breaks. I had to set up an appointment and although it only took a couple of weeks to get back, I was told that they did the best I could with my brakes and they cannot guarantee that they would last. I was charged $135 and told That the breaks really needed to be replaced with a different type and it would cost approximately $300. My first ride out after picking it up the brakes didn’t work and the gears didn’t shift properly. Frustrated, I took it to Laberta and sons. He put two new tires on the bike and gave it a complete review and tuneup and fixed the brakes for around $150. The bike feels like it’s brand new and I’ve ridden it probably no less than 10 times since I picked it up about a month and a half ago. I’ve had no issues with the brakes. This guy is knowledgeable, does a great job and is very passionate about what he does.

South Side Cyclery: what do users think?
Jean Andre: Excellent atmosphere! They are friendly, knowledgeable and have Great Service at a fair price!
Jason Jones: Eli took care of us quite well. We were taken care of us and left with a fantastic blue Fuji bike with fun accessories.
Melissa X: Brought my used Fuji in for a tune-up, tape, and new chain and everyone at South Side Cyclery was completely awesome. They even finished my work a day early! You can tell these folks really love the sport and I look forward to my next visit. The store is clean and beautiful, the people good, the service was solid, and my bike is in perfect condition. If you love the art of cycling, this is your temple.
Tiffany Peters: I stopped in today since we were visiting the city and they had a Cannondale I was interested in. I was immediately greeted by and had conversations with both people on the floor. I told them I wasn't intending on buying and even then, they gave me great customer service and didn't act like I was wasting their time. I will definitely make the 2 hour drive to them when I'm finally ready to upgrade my bike!
Jefferson: Everything you want and a whole lot more! I brought my toddler in and a staff member was patient and inclusive, we stayed much longer than anticipated!
Ashley Winkler: Great place and wonderful, knowledgeable people work here! I have come in multiple times with problems I thought would take hours/days/weeks to resolve and every single time I’m out of there within 30 minutes with a smile on my face and a bike in exceptional condition. Thank you South Side Cyclery for answering all of my many questions and just being amazing all around!
Brett Nejmanowski: I have known TK the owner for going on thirty years and can tell you this guy knows his stuff. I used to race on the Schwinn Homegrown mountain bike team with him so I have first hand knowledge of his experience in the racing and biking industry. I also worked with him at a bike shop. He is the guy you can go to for anything: race advice, mechanical advice, and sales advice. That’s my kinda guy. This is the spot for bikes.
Darren M: South Side Cyclery is the best! The owners and staff are amazing and will set you up with a new bike or help you take care of your existing ones. The shop promotes an inclusive cycling community and hosts weekly rides throughout spring, summer, and fall. Definitely go here if you're in the market for a new bike or need maintenance or gear!
M Jones: South Side Cyclery is truly a local treasure. Great service and source of information. Tim sold me the bike I am presently riding. He and his team have been my source for parts and performing the maintenance. South City is fortunate to have a mom-and-pop business that takes such pride in their work.
Stephen Magoc: South Side Cyclery allowed me to deliver an adult trike to them that I purchased somewhere else. The shop assembled it very quickly and had it ready to ride for me - all at a very reasonable price. I am very pleased with the work done on my trike and recommend them highly!
Jennifer Green: They did same-day repair and tune up on my bike and did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to go for bike needs.
Mitchell Hackleman: Adam and Kyle were both super helpful with my Ebike! These guys know what they're talking about and go above and beyond to help their customers. Will definitely do business with them in the future.
Christine Mueller: I just retired and wanted to get back into cycling after 5 years away from riding. A friend suggested South Side Cyclery because the staff is so knowledgeable. Owners Tim & Deanna are amazing! Deanna started by understanding my needs and current skill set. She spent over an hour with me getting the right fit and making sure I was comfortable with the Liv bike (brand dedicated to women) that I had selected. The entire staff is friendly and their customer service is outstanding! If I could give more than five stars for this review, I would!
Christina Stephens: I asked the staff here if they could give me some old bike tires they were otherwise throwing away to use to make traction strips for my son’s power wheels. They told me they would save some and the next day I came back and they had some tires for me for free. Yay recycling!
michael nerl: The work I've gotten there has always come out correct. Recently this has been a chain and tires over about a year. Their selection is better now that things are getting back to 'normal'. Last trip I had was somewhat obnoxious as the younger person at the register kept trying to upsell me on $400+ worth of stuff when I needed/came in for far less than that. However I did ultimately get what I was looking for and I have been satisfied with the quality.
Mike Davis: I recently moved from Boston to St Louis in March and was looking for a new bicycle repair shop for my bike. The previous shop I attended really took care of my prize possession and I had high hopes based on reviews this place would do the same.My bike went in for about a week of overdue service and after it came back, I did not recognize it! They did a phenomenal job and you can really see the attention to detail required to get this unit back to near new again.South Side, thanks for you help. It's a rarity in our society where people actually deliver on what they promise and your shop nailed it! You have a customer for life.
Austin Hester: Knowledgeable and Helpful
John “Chicken hawk” Klingbeil: Love the place I been going there for over 10 years
Russell Mase: Great selection of bikes. Most friendliest and personable staff you could hope to meet, with a wealth of information.
Uncle Chad: New Owners are Great. Excellent Service.
lonnie Hughes: I recently purchased a fold down bike rack from them and the attention to detail was amazing. They took the time to show me at least 4 different types of bike racks and made suggestions between the ones they thought would work best for me. I appreciated the attention to detail. I would high recommend them for all your bicycle needs.

The Bike Center: what do users think?
Dennis Byrd: Walking from the parking garage to the pier, our daughter's wheelchair lost one small screw and a second had worked it's way loose. We stopped here and asked if they had Allen wrenches and the young man came out and tightened the screw for us. Great service!
Michael Snodgrass: Great experience with Steve. Very friendly and helpful
VINCENT DEBLASI: Stephen and Scott were so helpful and made me feel welcome. Bc of their expertise, I bought a bike that feel s like it was custom made for me. I'll be back. Ty, guys.Vince
Gary Bledsoe: I'm not a regular customer, but I do give The Bike Center a sales opportunity when I need something. Scott can answer any question as can the employees. The shop normally has good inventory in terms of bikes, parts and accessories. And they are always friendly.
Don Derse: Repair job, well done and fast turn around. Great job.
corey jedi: Really great selection especially for the size of shop, very helpful!
Kody Rowe: One of the best selections around with a shop full of staff that are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Shop here if you want a great experience!
Blake Street: Friendly and welcoming staff. They don't put off the "I'm all business" vibe. I came in for service and concerns about creaks. They took care of what I mentioned to them with a fast turn around and at a reasonable price. Scott who is very friendly, went over with what he found going on with my bike and what was done.
Haris V: Fast and easy process
Edward Kienzle: Guys were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable
Diane Rich: Great service! Great advice!Never had any problems ♡
Tim Ernst: Awesome guys to work with who know how to take care of customers.
Teresa Cash: We drove 3 hours to get to The Bike Shop and we had a wonderful experience. Scott the owner was so friendly and knowledgeable of the specific Pivot bike we were looking for. He did a excellent job orientating to the bike. I will definitely tell all my bike friends . If you don’t buy your bike at The Bike Center it’s your loss. They are great! From Kentucky
James Fredeking: I went in with a large purchase in mind. I was waited on quickly and professionally. I tried what they had in the store but it wasn't what I was needing and asked if they could get what I was looking for. The salesman said the owner would call me after he did his research. After a week of not hearing back I called him but he was not available. I was again told he would call me which he never did so I made my purchase at a store that acted like they wanted my business.
andy brueck: The most knowledgeable and helpful shop in StL. The staff and owner went above and beyond to help me get exactly what I’m looking for. I’m not exactly well versed in the cycling industry but they made me feel at home. The shop is great as well. Small business at its best. Since the epidemic it’s been hard to find a shop with good inventory. Everyone seems low on bikes. The Bike Center seems to go the extra mile to get you what you want. 1 reviewer stated they didn’t want his business and left a bad review???? Come on....... it’s funny how that’s the only review that’s bad about this shop. Seems to be self explanatory about the reviewer. Shops are busy. Bikes are tough to get. No need to spread your negativity because you didn’t get your way. I highly recommend going here for all you cycling needs.
Diane Heuvelman: Very helpful employee. I live the bikes they had.
Bryan Webb: Very knowledgeable. Great selection. Willing to help with any customizations you might need. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Raul Ortiz: Gut
Jacob Casby: When I couldn’t find the bike i wanted in Kansas City, the bike center had it in stock. The owner Scott worked with my schedule and opened up the shop for a bit for me on a day they’re closed. Great friendly service and I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
JOHN Gmail: Very helpful - were looking at e-bikes.
Mudbogjoker: We came all the way from Alabama to get a bike because our bike shop didn't have any and they were great!

A&M Cyclery: what do users think?
Josh Smith: Great local store!
Jack Vandegriffe: Friendly and well informed staff, competitive pricing, great selection of various style bikes, and it’s centrally located. I’d give 6 stars if I could!
Zack Benton: Best bar ever!!!
Phil Eckelkamp: Fantastic experience with them recently. I was out for a run with my kids riding their bikes with me. One of them got a flat tire as we came into Tower Grove Park. We all walked to A&M, told the guy working there, Jeff, what happened, and he fixed it up with a new inner tube within 15 minutes and for $20. Very friendly service and we were able to finish our run/ride.
Leyla Rose Bland: Tim was very helpful when I needed it most! Thanks guys!!!
Preston Joshu: With most of cool shops in tower grove gone, I'm glad this one has stuck around. These guys know their stuff and do good work.Edit. Changing from 5 stars to 2. Did unnecessary repairs to my bike and charged me for them. Repairs were $150 over the quote. $550 as opposed to the $400 I was quoted. The ENTIRE bike cost $700. Also, the brakes still squealed when I got it back.Been coming here 20 years. Doubt I’ll be back now. Bummer.
Jonah Padawer: Amazing staff and phenomenal price! Best bike shop in stl!
Karen Karabell: My beloved 11-year-old Surly Long Haul Trucker is in better condition than when it was built, thanks to expert and loving service from A&M Cyclery. The LHT performed with panache and purred like a kitten on last month's weeklong bikepacking trip in Northern Minnesota. This bike is my preferred transportation in St. Louis. I am so grateful to Jeff and all at A&M for keeping the LHT in top-notch shape. Thank you!!!
Clayton Mace: Excellent shop, I regrettably did not buy my bike here but got an air pump and have had the mechanic help me a few times including getting my handle bars tightened up. Will be coming back for all my cycling needs
Independent CriticalThought: Ian is the best he really helps out and is affordable. I got a tuneup for 85 and omg it's amazing. It's a brand new bike. I have em a small tip just because it's so niceUpdate: I broke my bike and Jeff showed me how to maintain it better and not break it again. He is incredibly nice. I depend on my bike, and therefore I depend on Jeff, and Jeff is dependable (and affordable, he could even raise his prices a bit and I wouldn't complain). So glad he kept the shop here. I really love being 5 mins away from a great affordable bike shop.
Bernard Allen: I will be going here for all my bicycle needs. These cats were exceptional; work, and the customer experience.
michael nerl: Staff was very helpful and explained things to a novice pretty well.
Nelson S: Great service, mechanics are knowledgeable very friendly and fairly priced. They were nothing but helpful, got the part I needed and got me back on the saddle as fast as they could. The shop staff is friendly and always a pleasure to chat with them, gave me some good recommendations on trails to ride around the area. The A&M cyclery sticker has own it place on my bike rack, thank you guys 🤘🏾
Josh Dombroski: Definitely found myself and my brother a new shop.First 10 minutes in the shop, we felt welcomed and taken care of immediately. He definitely knows his stuff. In my opinion, superior knowledge both mechanical and technical. Reasonable prices, good music, transparent service and pricing.2 New costumer achieved today, great place!
Jack Eagan: I miss Karl. He would not have misgendered me FOUR times while I was picking up my bike. Bike works fine. You can do better, it wouldn't even be hard.
Nathan Coggeshall: Great little shop, tuned my old bike now rides like a dream
Zach Hunsinger: Perfect, highly recommended. Quality work and fair prices! Easy to talk to, too
Louis Koester: Really reasonable and knowledgeable. They won't sell you something you don't need.
Jeff Siddons: Very friendly and not pretentious, which isn't always the case with bicycle shops unfortunately. Quality work that has quick turnaround at a reasonable rate!
Benjamin Daugherty: Popped in with a chain off the track and Jeff tuned it up real quick. Friendly, fast, and reasonable fee. Great work.
David M. Morris: A&M Cyclery, is most likely the only place in the tri-state area? Willing to modify, repair and maintain a E-Bike. Look no further… makes or models are no obstacle here. Also, the experience, craftsmanship and overall cost. Is priceless! When considering the life , preservation and maintenance… of well intended & invested piece of GREEN technology!

Urban Shark Bicycle Co. / Big Shark Bicycle Co. - Urban: what do users think?
Jeffry Fisher: Good inventory and employees always helpful. Have moved to the Foundry. Good new location and more merchandise.
Walker Yane: Friendly knowledgeable service.
Michelle McIntyre: Very cool shop!!!
Madeline Stach: Everyone at the Foundry location was so incredibly nice and helpful! I needed a quick little fix that wasn’t working on my own and they had me up and running right away. Love the service!!
Sergey Isayenko: One of the most professional crew I had an opportunity to deal with. Not only they worked out the road bike for me to rent but answered all my questions, and assisted with purchasing some equipment. I was extremely satisfied from the moment I walked in till the moment I walked out. I highly recommend this store! Lots of things to choose from and very helpful staff who knows what they are doing.
John Landes: Great store and location good service people
Sándor Bokor: Very helpful owner/staff. Took in a bike that was not in the best shape and they were able to fix it up and they recommended fixes that were only necessary after assessing the bike.I also bought a bike during the pandemic from Urban Shark (prev downtown location) and received the best customer service and recommendations for a bike that fits my needs. I still love the bike I bought from them.Btw the store used to be in downtown stl. Glad to see that the care and customer service is the same at the new location as it was before.
Birk E: Fast, convenient, cheap. Fixed my bike on the spot with great service
Debrutsid Wiggler: Excellent prices on both services and gear. They replaced my bike chain on the spot. Out of my way. But i highly recommendWent to the new location love it much closer to me and on the way home from my new job. They fixed my brake cables after some pos tried to steal my bike and messed them up. Going back for a tune up and cable replace and more
Amanda Martinez: Awesome people and a wonderful experience
tim pekarek: Great service at downtown store...good luck as you move to Foundry!
Courtland Holmes: It has been my go-to shop for years appreciate the level of service and commitment from everyone on the team I’ll rock with them like family
Karen Ohara: I love urban shark my favorite place for bike s I love them they are great I use to go to bicycle World not anymore I don't go to bicycle 🚲 world cause he doesn't know how to fix electric bike s. But urban shark in st Louis mo does thanks again urban shark I'm going to be bringing in my Liv bike soon want a great bike place go to urban shark you can not go wrong. Tell them Karen ohara sent you you will be happy
Jesse-Linn Masters: Extremely helpful and knowledge staff and fair pricing. Helped me get what I needed and gave me a ton of valuable information as well!
Alexx: It'd a cute little shop and the people who work there are so nice I bought a bike at a garage sale after years of not having one and they taught me all the basic and fixed it up for me! I also got this cute little bike bag.
Robert Stokes: They have all the top of the line bicycles
Don Bertelsmann Jr: Less busy than its big brother and the guys there are awesome.
Dakota Raynes: The staff are always friendly, very knowledgeable, and want to help every rider find the gear that's best for them whether they're just starting out or century riders. They also have a wide variety in terms of stock and their upcharge is minimal. Free service for life on new bikes and reasonable service charges on used ones. This is my favorite bike shop in STL for the reasons listed above and because I went in looking for a specific type of bike, but they didn't have it. A few weeks later a guy brought in the type of bike I wanted and Urban Shark called me to come down and look at it. Then they sold it to me for less than half its retail value (so they sold it to me for the same amount of credit they gave the guy who traded it in). No other bike shop has done either of those things for me in 25 years of riding.
P L M: Quick flat fix!
Carol Butcher: Great place and great staff. Very knowledgeable. Very helpful. Work is done right and
Rihab Sawah: This bike shops offers the best service I've seen in any bike shop. Alan is very knowledgeable, not just with bikes but also with fitting me into the bike I purchased. It's been smooth riding my new bike. Also, the shop offers good support on purchases in terms of servicing your bike down the road. I highly recommend them!

REI Bike Shop: what do users think?
Kevin Straughter: I’m sad to say that my experience at this location hasn’t been so well. Whenever I’ve gone to this location Im always overlooked or not acknowledged. I once had to return a pair of Solomon hiking boots and when I went to return them you would’ve think that I stole them instead of purchasing them. This time around I ordered a pair of Timberland boots online and I had to pick them up at this location. The only person to acknowledge me was the cashier who checked me out. However I notice that all the other customers who didn’t look like me was being ask was everything okay. Even the employees who weren’t helping other customers didn’t acknowledge me. I guess I will try another location or take my business elsewhere. REI really needs to do better on diversity and treating all customers the same at this location.
Tony Zebrowski: Hopefully Merrill doesn't have some kind of exclusive contract with REI to sell their shoes, because I am fed up with their shoe department. I have been there twice now in the last month trying to buy my particular Merrill shoe that I enjoy, but I cannot get service. Today the guy completely blew me off and though he said he'd be with me in a second, he disappeared into the clothing section with another customer. I used to sell shoes at Finish Line and I could certainly work with more than one customer at once. The disappointment as a longterm member and credit card holder cannot be understated, but REI is no longer committed to selling shoes, there I am no longer committed to buying from them.
Malia Johnson: I just came to try on shoes without intending on buying anything, yet the employees were completely understanding and still helped me find some options for good, comfortable shoes. Shout out to Brett for helping me out!
J L: Love REI. Great gear, great quality. Today However, not so much. Wait at the shoe department for my turn. Young man gets me shoes to try on, then tells me it's time for his lunch and leaves. All the other sales staff is busily engaged, so I guess I'm supposed to wait till his lunch is over. If it's time for lunch don't take another customer. If you do take a customer, then realize it's lunch time, do a handoff of the customer to another staff member. Just my thoughts. Didn't get any shoes today, would have liked to try some others. Oh well.
Cody Cummings: I’ve been to a ton of REI locations across the US and this one was great. Everyone was really quick to offer their knowledge and honest opinions on products and apparel.
gary deutsch: Nothing in there that interested me
John Weeks: Excellent customer service - went today to get fitted for a backpack I had bought on their website. I was helped by Betsy, who went above and beyond to make sure I had as good of a fit as possible. She also provided a lot of background information that was really helpful. Highly recommend this store.
Mary Baker: Love REI. Great products, everyone is helpful and friendly.
Rachel S: A smaller but well organized REI. It wasn't too busy so we were able to easily get help from staff when we asked. They also have a bike shop and used gear sales.
Peter Qumsiyeh: First time there. Similar to Bass Pro or Cabela’s. Great deals on running shoes.
Matt S: Every time I come in I remember why this is the only place I go for gear. Bob in the shoe department is a G! Cashed in my dividend and saved 30 bucks. REI rocks. Can’t wait to break in my new hikers.
American Lover: You want to hike and camp after walking inside. We went to shop next door, walked inside, and were inspired. REI is incredible. Experience the process of planning your next camping trip after you shop inside REI.
Brian Stovall: Great gear. Pricey but worth it on most things.Staff oversold (pressured) me several times in the store to sign up for their rewards program.
Robert Washburn: I like REI, they carry quality lines of products. You can find cheaper stuff elsewhere, but REI and their vendors stand behind their products for a reason.
Karen Sanders: The gentleman who helped me with hiking boots this evening was excellent.
Greg Crewell: Love it! Lots of selection and great customer service.
Leila Sardari: Very rude staff! Make sure you put your brand clothes on when you go there. I liked a bike for my 4 year old at this store and finally got a chance to take him there. He loved it! I asked my kid to sit on the little training bike to give it a test ride. He rode it around a bit, my fault! this guy came to us like we have been violating the trafic rules and been putting lives in danger… I felt so embarrassed! And immediately asked my child to get off the bike, the guy is following us to make sure we put the bike in it’s right place! I ended up telling my kid that the guy has bad manners and we can’t buy it from here! I’m never going back again.
Rebecca Harding: I literally just walked out. Went to purchase a pair of low collar running shoes. The associate, who seemed very friendly to the customer he served just before me, was less than enthusiastic about helping me. Didn’t offer to look for something else or offer suggestions when he didn’t have the color that I was looking for. Lost a $200 sale and a customer.
Mark Whelan: I purchased over $500 worth of goods at the REI on Brentwood in St. Louis, MO today. I was informed (after I made the purchase) that not only did they not have gift boxes for the items, they did not have bags at all, as part of their zero carbon footprint policy. I would have to carry all my purchases out to my car in the pouring rain with no protection for any of it. I understand the NCF policy but this is taking it a little too far. At the very least, they should offer reusable shopping bags at a small cost. It may not have bothered me as much if I hadn't noticed while shopping that the young staff asked all the younger shoppers if they needed help but not one of them asked me if i needed help or even made eye contact. I am in my late 60's. Not a great experience overall.
Mary Anm Hunziker: I had a very bad experience. The gentleman was very condescending. I will never go back!
Tad Hylkema: Gotta give a shout out to PJ on the register. He had a great attitude and joked with us as we checked out. We left with a smile on our faces as well as a deal on shoes!

Road Crew Coffee & Cycles: what do users think?
Katie Marshall: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Alli H: Their vanilla lattes are divine
Marina Perez-Plazola: Fantastic coffee shop and bike store; the lattes are yummy, the atmosphere is great for studying, and the people at the bike shop are so knowledgeable and nice
Eduardo Sequeira: Overall the service was pretty good. A bit over priced but the coffee quality worth the money
Kate Smith: Always excellent, personable service. Especially from Toph. Smooth coffee. Many milk options! Seasonal drinks are always interesting and unique. Love the homemade pastries!
Suzanne Chisum: Great neighborhood spot to get a cup of coffee. You need not be a cyclist to enjoy the brew. The coffee is full of flavor. The space is open and clean with displays of bikes and things related to cycling. The large windows make the space appear larger than it is.I will be returning. Won’t you join me?
M.Shahbaz Ehsan: Very nice to meet the staff... Very helpful
Arthur Schierhoff: Great coffee and a nice selection of other drinks as well.
Kate B: This is a nice quiet Cafe with a limited coffee menu and delicious but small bakery menu. The pride they have in their establishment comes through - friendly and chill atmosphere. They only have vanilla syrup - so no extravagant latte options - they have Blueprint and other high quality coffee drips, and espresso options like latte, americano, cortado etc. Def. Comet coffee vibes. I need seasonal latte options and maybe a protein breakfast option so this may not be a future go to for me, but a great place to enjoy a nice cup and the sunshine through their big windows.
Eric Mishne: TLDR: delish and nice place to chill. They serve Blueprint coffee, which is an automatic 4 stars for the place, and they know how to prepare it, giving them another star. The location is great and the vibe is chill. Very chill. It was very quiet in there, which was not good for conversation, but great for head down solo working. My only issue is that it was on the pricy side of coffee. With a $1 tip I paid over 6 bucks for a vanilla latte.
Dustin Barrett: Great place, great staff, great vibes.
Mallory Rukhsana Nezam: Love this spot. Local Whisk baked goods are a plus, great beverages beyond coffee, including alcohol. The wifi is almost non-existent, so plan accordingly. The patio is a struggle if it’s sunny and you have a laptop, but it’s a great patio to meet up with a friend. Overall, a joy.
Sarah Jaworski: Bottomless coffee for $4.50... I'll just leave it at that. Such a good vibe and the barista could not have been nicer.
Brittany: Expensive coffee with no size options. Overall good atmosphere. The barista is kind of rude but I’ll take it as he was having a bad day
Marit Ivory: Great local coffee shop. They have about 3 drip coffees offered. Plenty of lattes. Seating for about 20 inside and more seating outside. The baked goods looked AMAZING. You can buy beans to go. There was a mini library (books to buy? Borrow?). As of August 2022 masks were required inside. This rule was enforced.
Drew Andrews: Kinda Shocked at the high rating here! I came in with a 50% off coupon that I got through “entertainment book.” Yet it was almost $5 at 50% off. [The bicycle guy I spoke with was great however, this complaint is only about the coffee.] I was basically talked into a Coffee Latte. I said that I was wanting something strong not something mostly milk. However, he said there was two espresso shots in it; so, I agreed & I then asked can you make it a double. He said so you want four shots of espresso? I said well that’s maybe too much, how about three? so as I’m talking to the bike guy he brings me the coffee and gives me an iced coffee… His solution was to waste that one and to make another one… So now I have what to me seems like a one shot coffee with mostly water and milk in a 12-14 oz cup… It wasn’t strong at all! And it cost almost $10 before the discount! Sheesh!!! How about asking hot or cold or what size do you want? Come on get it together people…!!! The store was not crowded at all!
Amaris Peters: A very modern, unique concept combining coffee and cycling. They had a lot of students studying in the dining area and a great atmosphere for it, with a lot of window seats and low music to complement studying or socializing. My husband and I do not currently cycle as a hobby so we did not participate in that portion of the establishment, but it looks like they had a solid amount of quality cycling merchandise with its own cashier and storefront.Coffee wise, we both enjoyed our coffees, we got lattes and an espresso tonic. We sipped our drinks and studied for a couple hours for an enjoyable and productive time of reading and studying. Would love to come back sometime, especially once we get into cycling! A fun stop on the journey, for sure.
Justin Craddock: Had an excellent mocha. And the atmosphere is very cool with the bikes.
E v i e W e s n e r: Great brasilian pour over!
Naut Astro: Good people . Nice place . It's a big pleasure to have intelligent conversation with them and buy something new for your bike , or a whole new bike )😊👍
Jack Churchill: Wonderful tea selection. Very quiet and peaceful. Live plants on every table. Fancy tea carafes!!
