REI: what do users think?
Kevin Straughter: I’m sad to say that my experience at this location hasn’t been so well. Whenever I’ve gone to this location Im always overlooked or not acknowledged. I once had to return a pair of Solomon hiking boots and when I went to return them you would’ve think that I stole them instead of purchasing them. This time around I ordered a pair of Timberland boots online and I had to pick them up at this location. The only person to acknowledge me was the cashier who checked me out. However I notice that all the other customers who didn’t look like me was being ask was everything okay. Even the employees who weren’t helping other customers didn’t acknowledge me. I guess I will try another location or take my business elsewhere. REI really needs to do better on diversity and treating all customers the same at this location.
Tony Zebrowski: Hopefully Merrill doesn't have some kind of exclusive contract with REI to sell their shoes, because I am fed up with their shoe department. I have been there twice now in the last month trying to buy my particular Merrill shoe that I enjoy, but I cannot get service. Today the guy completely blew me off and though he said he'd be with me in a second, he disappeared into the clothing section with another customer. I used to sell shoes at Finish Line and I could certainly work with more than one customer at once. The disappointment as a longterm member and credit card holder cannot be understated, but REI is no longer committed to selling shoes, there I am no longer committed to buying from them.
Malia Johnson: I just came to try on shoes without intending on buying anything, yet the employees were completely understanding and still helped me find some options for good, comfortable shoes. Shout out to Brett for helping me out!
J L: Love REI. Great gear, great quality. Today However, not so much. Wait at the shoe department for my turn. Young man gets me shoes to try on, then tells me it's time for his lunch and leaves. All the other sales staff is busily engaged, so I guess I'm supposed to wait till his lunch is over. If it's time for lunch don't take another customer. If you do take a customer, then realize it's lunch time, do a handoff of the customer to another staff member. Just my thoughts. Didn't get any shoes today, would have liked to try some others. Oh well.
Cody Cummings: I’ve been to a ton of REI locations across the US and this one was great. Everyone was really quick to offer their knowledge and honest opinions on products and apparel.
gary deutsch: Nothing in there that interested me
John Weeks: Excellent customer service - went today to get fitted for a backpack I had bought on their website. I was helped by Betsy, who went above and beyond to make sure I had as good of a fit as possible. She also provided a lot of background information that was really helpful. Highly recommend this store.
Mary Baker: Love REI. Great products, everyone is helpful and friendly.
Rachel S: A smaller but well organized REI. It wasn't too busy so we were able to easily get help from staff when we asked. They also have a bike shop and used gear sales.
Peter Qumsiyeh: First time there. Similar to Bass Pro or Cabela’s. Great deals on running shoes.
Matt S: Every time I come in I remember why this is the only place I go for gear. Bob in the shoe department is a G! Cashed in my dividend and saved 30 bucks. REI rocks. Can’t wait to break in my new hikers.
American Lover: You want to hike and camp after walking inside. We went to shop next door, walked inside, and were inspired. REI is incredible. Experience the process of planning your next camping trip after you shop inside REI.
Brian Stovall: Great gear. Pricey but worth it on most things.Staff oversold (pressured) me several times in the store to sign up for their rewards program.
Robert Washburn: I like REI, they carry quality lines of products. You can find cheaper stuff elsewhere, but REI and their vendors stand behind their products for a reason.
Karen Sanders: The gentleman who helped me with hiking boots this evening was excellent.
Greg Crewell: Love it! Lots of selection and great customer service.
Leila Sardari: Very rude staff! Make sure you put your brand clothes on when you go there. I liked a bike for my 4 year old at this store and finally got a chance to take him there. He loved it! I asked my kid to sit on the little training bike to give it a test ride. He rode it around a bit, my fault! this guy came to us like we have been violating the trafic rules and been putting lives in danger… I felt so embarrassed! And immediately asked my child to get off the bike, the guy is following us to make sure we put the bike in it’s right place! I ended up telling my kid that the guy has bad manners and we can’t buy it from here! I’m never going back again.
Rebecca Harding: I literally just walked out. Went to purchase a pair of low collar running shoes. The associate, who seemed very friendly to the customer he served just before me, was less than enthusiastic about helping me. Didn’t offer to look for something else or offer suggestions when he didn’t have the color that I was looking for. Lost a $200 sale and a customer.
Mark Whelan: I purchased over $500 worth of goods at the REI on Brentwood in St. Louis, MO today. I was informed (after I made the purchase) that not only did they not have gift boxes for the items, they did not have bags at all, as part of their zero carbon footprint policy. I would have to carry all my purchases out to my car in the pouring rain with no protection for any of it. I understand the NCF policy but this is taking it a little too far. At the very least, they should offer reusable shopping bags at a small cost. It may not have bothered me as much if I hadn't noticed while shopping that the young staff asked all the younger shoppers if they needed help but not one of them asked me if i needed help or even made eye contact. I am in my late 60's. Not a great experience overall.
Mary Anm Hunziker: I had a very bad experience. The gentleman was very condescending. I will never go back!
Tad Hylkema: Gotta give a shout out to PJ on the register. He had a great attitude and joked with us as we checked out. We left with a smile on our faces as well as a deal on shoes!

Mike's Bikes STL: what do users think?
John Landes: Good people, fair prices, great ser ice.
Jonnathan J Rodriguez: Nice experience, when there without appt and dropped off the bikes for a tune up, picked them up a few days later and took the for a ride around Forest park over the weekend. They feel great, appreciate the work they put on them! Totally recommended, might be back for some accessories. Go and check it out, they also sell and rent bikes, in case you have some friends and in town and want to show them the park.
Rishi Gattu: I thought this was a really honest bike shop. They did not try to upsell me anything, but helped me with what I needed. Both Eric and Matt were very helpful and nice. I will definitely be bringing my bikes here in the future.
Oliver Fend: I want to be fair to my local bike shop. This is the place I got within walking or biking distance after all. People here are friendly. When I had issues with my back cog on my fixie the mechanic made sure I went out the door with a functional bike that was safe to ride. When the time and care is put into my ride, it doesn't go unnoticed.I could complain about the prices, but I'm not the one who dominates the market in the CWE. The prices reflect the local economy which consists of the geared out dentist in a bright matching kit who rides for leisure.Where I have the biggest issue is that sometimes the priority is making a buck rather than honesty. I'm the last head in the area you should bust. I work as a bike messenger. I ride my bike in the city daily. When I come in for fresh tires I need durable lasting tires designed for STL streets. I can't be sold soft racing tires marketed to me as long lasting. Those tires lasted me a week. I understand wanting to help, but I wish it was a little more straight up. Situations like this break my confidence in this place. Big shark had tires for the same price designed for what I do. I could feel the difference on my thumb and index finger.I know more about bikes than the average Joe. It's my job to ride one. However I don't know everything, so my first inclination is to trust those who are around the parts all day.
Jezzabelle Arnold: Wow! Fixed my bike within a day, and when another part loosened I had it fixed in fifteen minutes! Paid less than I expected to, and on top of that not one bit of rudeness or condescension when I didn't know something! Almost perfect, only thing wrong with it is how hard it is to find from the street. It's in a grey building :)
Shauna Montoya: I absolutely would recommend Mike's Bikes to anyone needing work on their bike in STL. I have had an unprecedented number of fixes required as I use my bike to commute and they've always helped me with a fast turnaround and incredibly reasonable pricing. The guys that work in the shop are also very friendly and welcoming. I'm sure I'll be back in the shop soon, but so should you if you need any help with bikes
Taylor Bushnell: Eric at Mike's Bikes is a bike Wizard. I was having issues with my alignment of my single speed mountain bike and he problem solved and fixed it in no time. I would trust them with all my bike needs.
Brian Smith: Very friendly and helpful service.. I had a question about a bottom bracket (as they are a bit confusing with all the different specs that I guess are needed to purchase one: chainline, asymmetrical vs symmetrical, etc. ) and all was thankfully simplified by these guys..
Karen Ohara: I heard from friends they're fantastic
D. Dash: The guys at the shop do a great job, very professional. Got a much needed tune-up which needed further tweaking afterwards (internal hub)...they were responsive and got it fixed right away. Definitely recommend them for bike work.
Erik Edmonds: Great technicians, they really know their stuff. They aren’t just trying to make a sale, they want to make sure you get the bike that’s right for you.
Nicholas Gros: Brought my Heybike Mars and Lectric XP 2.0 to get the brakes adjusted and tires changed and they were super helpful. I brought it in Tuesday evening and got it back Wednesday morning. Reasonable price as well!
Yael Paley: Friendly people and great service! Got a flat tire and they replaced the tube in minutes. Came back the next day because I had taken the tire off but didn't know how to put it back on 😂 they showed me how to do it!
Joe Rubio: Fantastic service! Really thorough and knowledgeable team. Got a complete overhaul done here and 100% worth it. Will definitely be coming back!
Robert Gholston: Amazing customer service, the guys here really know their stuff and are quick and efficient with their service. Never been a cyclist before but coming here was the perfect introduction to it. Would rate 10/5 if I could!
Joseph Cherabie: Honestly the best customer service, always willing to help, educate, and accommodate. Recommend them to everyone!
JinSun Lee: I bought a really lovely bike and all the accessories here. The two bro were really kind and expert. I should have bought it earlier! Their brands worth the money. Thanks!!!!!! I love this store.
Carl Niermann: Fast, efficient service changing my tube after a valve ish this morning. I'll be back.Update: The bolt that held my seat on the post sheared off during a ride yesterday. I couldn't recover one of the mounting plates (lost in the weeds). Today the staff replaced my seat post in 15 minutes. Quick, easy, affordable. Great staff and service.
Joseph Roberts: The guy there was very polite and understanding. They easily serviced my needs,8 need minor repairs to my wheelchair
chaun walker: I dropped my son’s bike off because I tried to change the back brake cable and replace the brake pads.Long story short it didn’t go as planned LOL. I received a call about a week after I dropped off the bike and the person told me, I needed front and back brakes mind you I was just working on the bike so I know the front brakes were good. Next my rear wheel was bent LOL. With all the MYSTERY REPAIRS TOTAL WILL BE 165.00. I KINDLY WENT AND GOT THE PICKED UP THE BIKE. That same day I dropped off the bike at BICYCLES OF KIRKWOOD!!!!! I JUST PICKED THE BIKE UP AND MY BILL WAS A TOTAL OF 60.00 I WOULD UPLOAD THE RECEIPT IF POSSIBLE... Guess what he charged me for a BIKE TUNEUP!!!!! MIKES BIKE SHOP IS A RIPOFF!!!!!!
Andrew V: Nice locally-owned shop, always honest and fair pricing. Keeps my daily commuter running just right. New to the area but will be back.

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?
kristin g: Only had one basketball shoe in my kid’s size. I assumed with them being a sporting goods store they would carry basketball shoes. My bad I guess lol!
Becky Wotawa: Overpriced
Isabelle H: Rude employees and managers. The store is unorganized and the employees just throw packaging trash on the floors.
Kat Marie: Just got double charged for a $79 pair of shoes here, went back to door and they just closed, so door locked. People were standing at the registers and I tried to get their attention but yeah hopefully they'll believe me tomorrow when I come back .. other than that everyone is nice- store is a mess though and it's hard to find things, you kind of have to dig through stuff. Some stuff just kinda falling off hangers, it needs a sweep through and reorganization
debbie diller: They do not take credit cards that do not read in their readers. They are incapable of typing the 16 digits in like all other stores can. Will not ever shop there.
Romeo Garibaldi: Jenna was very kind 😍
caden smlth: Store reeks of racial bias never get another dime of our money
A Leon: Nice store, and great staff.
Patty Vergano: I went to the South County location and was looking at the kayak display when one of the employees asked me if I needed help. He was very knowledgeable about the kayaks and was able to help me determine which type I wanted to purchase. Very nice and large store with lots of merchandise to choose from.
Ricky StrAwhun: They sell absolutely nothing related to hunting. Not a single call or even a camouflage shirt.... Unless your wanting a $100+ pair of under armour leggins I wouldn't advise this place.....
Bob H: I was there on 9/14 at 11:25am. Several employees throughout the store offered help as I shopped- very nice! When I got up to check out at the registers, there was one register open, and the gentleman behind it was having some sort of issues waiting on a lady. Our line grew to five people, at which time the cashier went and found someone to come up and deal with the issue. After waiting about three minutes, with no other cashiers in sight, I left my items on the counter, and left the store. I don’t get it. Lots of employees, but only one cashier. I’m sure I will not return to that store.
Lavel Gordon: I bought my first bike in 35 years that day.
Larry Huskey: Great looking and well staffed location. My first time in a DSG and staff was very friendly, a little disappointed that it appears they only cater to those already in fit conditions. I'm older and trying to rehabilitate to shed pounds and inches. Nothing I could find in the store was going to fit. But I will go back after I downsize a little. lol
matt forchee: Very clean and organized...Staff available just about everywhere... Friendly staff.
Larry Bornemann: Great products, great employees, great store
Anthony Singer: Loved it
Don Gumpert: I learned this is not the place to go for rain gear. I did speak to 2 employees there they were friendly and as helpful as they could be.
Aaron Hayes: Awesome service
timothy george S: Great place to get sports gear. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Good quality selections.
Mary E Hinojosa: Very helpful 👌
John Kohl: All I did was some mittens for riding my motorcycles something they could really take the cold as soon as I walked in the door I was helped immediately I believe they're a little pricey though I don't know about these mittens the label of hot fingers is it just a bunch of bowls a sales pitch well it seems really keep my hands warm what is 20 degrees and I'm driving 50 miles an hour I don't know about the rest of the store it was the end of my work day and I just wanted to go have a beer I'll have to check the place out for another day

Big Shark Bicycle Company: what do users think?
Cody Masching: I bought the Superwaffle bike and got obliterated by a car and there is barely a scratch on the bike! Overall fantastic bikes with excellent customer service!
Molly Wagner: We love this business. I honestly can’t say enough good things about their service and all the people who work there. We have 7 kids and have probably bought close to 15 bikes from them over the years. Every purchase has been easy. They help our kids pick out an appropriate bike without pressure to buy the most expensive bike. Yesterday, I brought my 10 year old to pick up a new bike we had ordered last week. One employee spent about 10 minutes teaching him how to work the gears while they had the bike suspended in a device to let him practice. The gentleman was patient and treated my son like an adult. This store is a gem. Cannot recommend enough. Kudos to the owner for hiring and training excellent employees. Great customer service will always have us coming back
Arthur Schierhoff: Updated review, was disappointed that downtown location had closed, but the new Foundry location is very nice.
Thomas Zoumaras: Among the best bicycle shops in the US. Great mechanics, knowledgeable and helpful staff, and a wide selection at three locations. Mike Weiss, the owner, is dedicated to providing great service and outstanding products at a fair price.
Richard Anderson: These guys did a great job. Dave was awesome helping us decide on sizes. Mark, KC, and Mike delivered on service and a great experience.
Angel Chevrestt: Awful experience with this bike shop. Salesman/manager Kayce Peters wins the prize for the most unprofessional and immature bicycle salesman. Communication and customer-relation skills severely lacking, and an over-all bad attitude. He behaved as if it were a real chore for him to have to sell a custom-build bicycle worth over $2700. He was eager to charge the money for the sale but not willing to earn it.I took my business elsewhere and it worked out well.
Josh C: Stopped by today, first time customer. They quickly got the gears adjusted on an old bike I acquired from a family member and looked over it for me.The technician who serviced it was very informative and filled me in on some of the details on the older bike before I get out on it.I was impressed by the customer service and will return for future service or when time comes for a new one.
Hal Burroughs: Go to spot for cycling gear and service in St. Louis.
Brian Ferrari: Super helpful staff, great selection of options, brands, and range of prices available.Would highly recommend any of the Big Sharks in STL. Theyll also order bikes for you they might not have in stock and build it out for you when it arrives!
Sam Freedman: Best place to buy a bike. Thier bike maintenance and customer service program is the best.
Karen Ohara: Assume I'm going back in August
ryn alchemist: Used to be a great bike shop. Seems some idea of customer service has left the building. Seems the service is chaotic. Wish I could say it’s the new employees… but it’s actually the senior employees. Save the attitude for improving your team. I won’t purchase another product from this shop/company. I’ll take my free tune ups for life but that it’s.
Tosha Pearson-Royston: Still no bike!!! After visiting this store three times I've yet to be contacted about any of the 3 bikes they were supposed to pull from the warehouse and build. Men in the store are very knowledgeable and helpful, but the follow through is seriously lacking. It's been over 3 weeks now and I haven't received a call. Very disappointing.
Tom R: I want to thank Dan Golde at Big Shark West for his knowledge and expertise. He's always a big help!
Bonita Newby: I told them that I use my bike for commute to work mostly. Ever since day one they have taken care of my bike in more ways than one. Plus the free tune ups you get. I tried going someplace else.I ended up going right back to them that same day. I guess I'm here to stay. Plus you get your money's worth.
Alex Armstrong: Terrible experience. I went in there to simply get new inner tubes and see if they would put them on. I was not informed that they would charge you $10 a wheel for "labor" so the total came out to a whopping $37.52! Not only was I blindsided but the owner was extremely creepy and weird when talking too. I would at all cost avoid this place. He knew all along what he was doing and decided to pull a fast one instead of simply telling me ahead of time. Any person can fill up a tire and install it.... I just don't own a bike pump but could've and should've gone to QT for free air. If you want passive aggressive arrogance this is Definitely your store. Ugh I feel cheated and disrespected. The attitude in there was so thick you need a mask to protect yourself from them. I was actually considering even buying a bike from these clowns too. But pennywise, dollar foolish on their behalf. Now you have been warned of their ways and I highly suggest going elsewhere for better service and deals.
Wayne Woods: A professional and friendly bike shop. Highly recommended
Dennis Carter: How does a bike shop not know how to fix a bike they sold?
the detail dude: They some how did the impossible and had the exact bike I was looking for being built back in summer arrival date was mid December I didn't hold my breath with how crazy bikes are right now but here we are dec 15th the day they hoped to deliver it to me and im in possession of my new giant! One star deducted for them being mask police..but no hard feelings i will recommend..
Luci Olewinski: I was in town for a race over Labor Day weekend when my right/rear shifter died. Despite it being a busy weekend, they quickly discovered the problem, found the last compatible shifter in the shop, and put it on that day. Usually this would be a many day wait for that service, but they went out of their way knowing I wanted to race later that day. I'm feeling cautious writing this review- it's not nice to advertise that a shop will magically fix things the same day, because of course they need time to do a job well and I don't want to encourage people to show up last minute expecting things to get fixed pronto. But I do want to express my gratitude at the service I got and how nice they were throughout the whole process.
Tim Gray: Superb customer service!!

Sam: Great friendly staff and good customer service. Awesome attention to detail on bike service.
ThatDude6foot6: Great service . Keep up the good work
Darren Deatz: Had a great experience buying my new Domane here. Huge selection in stock and ready to take home.
Gene Bertram: Keeping my bike 🚲 in great shape and they appreciate the donuts I sometimes bring.
Daren E: Trek Ballwin was great to work with upgrading my Emonda. The parts were ordered and came in very quickly. They did an excellent job installing all of the upgrades while I was busy at my son’s baseball tournament. I’m very happy with how they transformed my bike! Thanks guys!
Kelly Wheeler: The best bike store around. You won’t find a friendly, more helpful or knowledgeable staff!
Ganesh Nanjundaiah: Love the bike and staff here at Manchester ❤️
Leland Delgado: Excellent staff, quick to help and answer questions.
Debbie Dunevant: Just the nicest and friendliest staff. They went above and beyond with exceptional service. Everyone was knowledgeable and took their time to answer all questions. This store is top notch.
John Lowe: Wonderful team! Thanks again everyone.
Don Schuh: I brought in my 12 year old abused Trek HiFi. I have had the suspension, bearings, brakes etc. rebuilt numerous times. The parts list is about 18” long but the cost was very reasonable. It still has all of its scars, but it functions like new after this rebuild. These folks know what they are doing and exceeded expectations. Excellent job Clayton and Team!
Gavin Pratt: I took my bike in for a service as it would not shift correctly. I spoke with the service manager Colton. I have my bike back now and it shifts perfectly. I would like to say that I have never experienced such great customer service. The problem was identified, throughly explained to me, and fixed within two days. Furthermore, I went ahead and purchased a level 2 maintenence package as there was a sale and i needed it. My bike is as clean as the day I purchased it. I really couldn't believe it. Lastly I think its important to know that I didn't buy my trek at this location, but the respect and customer service here makes you feel like a part of the family. I will always use there services from this point on. Thank you and support local!
Jim Welby: Great experience and Robbie was great to work with.
Matt Post: Huge bike and accessories selection plus a fantastically knowledgeable and friendly staff. I wish I lived closer by!
Carol Leaderbrand: A customer of 7 years and I have not been disappointed.
Jake McDonald: Colin was a big help at finding me a great bike. And he was very kind to me and my dad!
Susan Law: I was in yesterday to troubleshoot my pedal clips and shoes and get a seat adjustment. I felt I was in good hands with Chad who assisted me. He solved both of my issues and made sure I was comfortable with my seat height and new pedals/clips before sending me on my way. I bought a new Trek Domane bike in March of '21 and love the bike and the purchase experience. It is what keeps me coming back to this Trek store for service and products. I always feel as if I'm in capable hands and getting great products, service, and advice.
Goldfinger: Friendly staff and fixed the bike’s shifting issues on time as promised.
Claralyn Bollinger: Friendly and knowledgeable salesperson answered all my questions about bike head and tail lights. Thanks for your insights!

Robin: Amazing staff. Awesome service. I love my bike. The whole shopping experience at the Trek Bicycle Store was terrific and I highly recommend them.

South Side Cyclery: what do users think?
Jean Andre: Excellent atmosphere! They are friendly, knowledgeable and have Great Service at a fair price!
Jason Jones: Eli took care of us quite well. We were taken care of us and left with a fantastic blue Fuji bike with fun accessories.
Melissa X: Brought my used Fuji in for a tune-up, tape, and new chain and everyone at South Side Cyclery was completely awesome. They even finished my work a day early! You can tell these folks really love the sport and I look forward to my next visit. The store is clean and beautiful, the people good, the service was solid, and my bike is in perfect condition. If you love the art of cycling, this is your temple.
Tiffany Peters: I stopped in today since we were visiting the city and they had a Cannondale I was interested in. I was immediately greeted by and had conversations with both people on the floor. I told them I wasn't intending on buying and even then, they gave me great customer service and didn't act like I was wasting their time. I will definitely make the 2 hour drive to them when I'm finally ready to upgrade my bike!
Jefferson: Everything you want and a whole lot more! I brought my toddler in and a staff member was patient and inclusive, we stayed much longer than anticipated!
Ashley Winkler: Great place and wonderful, knowledgeable people work here! I have come in multiple times with problems I thought would take hours/days/weeks to resolve and every single time I’m out of there within 30 minutes with a smile on my face and a bike in exceptional condition. Thank you South Side Cyclery for answering all of my many questions and just being amazing all around!
Brett Nejmanowski: I have known TK the owner for going on thirty years and can tell you this guy knows his stuff. I used to race on the Schwinn Homegrown mountain bike team with him so I have first hand knowledge of his experience in the racing and biking industry. I also worked with him at a bike shop. He is the guy you can go to for anything: race advice, mechanical advice, and sales advice. That’s my kinda guy. This is the spot for bikes.
Darren M: South Side Cyclery is the best! The owners and staff are amazing and will set you up with a new bike or help you take care of your existing ones. The shop promotes an inclusive cycling community and hosts weekly rides throughout spring, summer, and fall. Definitely go here if you're in the market for a new bike or need maintenance or gear!
M Jones: South Side Cyclery is truly a local treasure. Great service and source of information. Tim sold me the bike I am presently riding. He and his team have been my source for parts and performing the maintenance. South City is fortunate to have a mom-and-pop business that takes such pride in their work.
Stephen Magoc: South Side Cyclery allowed me to deliver an adult trike to them that I purchased somewhere else. The shop assembled it very quickly and had it ready to ride for me - all at a very reasonable price. I am very pleased with the work done on my trike and recommend them highly!
Jennifer Green: They did same-day repair and tune up on my bike and did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to go for bike needs.
Mitchell Hackleman: Adam and Kyle were both super helpful with my Ebike! These guys know what they're talking about and go above and beyond to help their customers. Will definitely do business with them in the future.
Christine Mueller: I just retired and wanted to get back into cycling after 5 years away from riding. A friend suggested South Side Cyclery because the staff is so knowledgeable. Owners Tim & Deanna are amazing! Deanna started by understanding my needs and current skill set. She spent over an hour with me getting the right fit and making sure I was comfortable with the Liv bike (brand dedicated to women) that I had selected. The entire staff is friendly and their customer service is outstanding! If I could give more than five stars for this review, I would!
Christina Stephens: I asked the staff here if they could give me some old bike tires they were otherwise throwing away to use to make traction strips for my son’s power wheels. They told me they would save some and the next day I came back and they had some tires for me for free. Yay recycling!
michael nerl: The work I've gotten there has always come out correct. Recently this has been a chain and tires over about a year. Their selection is better now that things are getting back to 'normal'. Last trip I had was somewhat obnoxious as the younger person at the register kept trying to upsell me on $400+ worth of stuff when I needed/came in for far less than that. However I did ultimately get what I was looking for and I have been satisfied with the quality.
Mike Davis: I recently moved from Boston to St Louis in March and was looking for a new bicycle repair shop for my bike. The previous shop I attended really took care of my prize possession and I had high hopes based on reviews this place would do the same.My bike went in for about a week of overdue service and after it came back, I did not recognize it! They did a phenomenal job and you can really see the attention to detail required to get this unit back to near new again.South Side, thanks for you help. It's a rarity in our society where people actually deliver on what they promise and your shop nailed it! You have a customer for life.
Austin Hester: Knowledgeable and Helpful
John “Chicken hawk” Klingbeil: Love the place I been going there for over 10 years
Russell Mase: Great selection of bikes. Most friendliest and personable staff you could hope to meet, with a wealth of information.
Uncle Chad: New Owners are Great. Excellent Service.
lonnie Hughes: I recently purchased a fold down bike rack from them and the attention to detail was amazing. They took the time to show me at least 4 different types of bike racks and made suggestions between the ones they thought would work best for me. I appreciated the attention to detail. I would high recommend them for all your bicycle needs.

Michelle McIntyre: Very cool shop!!!
Madeline Stach: Everyone at the Foundry location was so incredibly nice and helpful! I needed a quick little fix that wasn’t working on my own and they had me up and running right away. Love the service!!
Sergey Isayenko: One of the most professional crew I had an opportunity to deal with. Not only they worked out the road bike for me to rent but answered all my questions, and assisted with purchasing some equipment. I was extremely satisfied from the moment I walked in till the moment I walked out. I highly recommend this store! Lots of things to choose from and very helpful staff who knows what they are doing.
John Landes: Great store and location good service people
Sándor Bokor: Very helpful owner/staff. Took in a bike that was not in the best shape and they were able to fix it up and they recommended fixes that were only necessary after assessing the bike.I also bought a bike during the pandemic from Urban Shark (prev downtown location) and received the best customer service and recommendations for a bike that fits my needs. I still love the bike I bought from them.Btw the store used to be in downtown stl. Glad to see that the care and customer service is the same at the new location as it was before.
Birk E: Fast, convenient, cheap. Fixed my bike on the spot with great service
Debrutsid Wiggler: Excellent prices on both services and gear. They replaced my bike chain on the spot. Out of my way. But i highly recommendWent to the new location love it much closer to me and on the way home from my new job. They fixed my brake cables after some pos tried to steal my bike and messed them up. Going back for a tune up and cable replace and more
Amanda Martinez: Awesome people and a wonderful experience
tim pekarek: Great service at downtown store...good luck as you move to Foundry!
Courtland Holmes: It has been my go-to shop for years appreciate the level of service and commitment from everyone on the team I’ll rock with them like family
Karen Ohara: I love urban shark my favorite place for bike s I love them they are great I use to go to bicycle World not anymore I don't go to bicycle 🚲 world cause he doesn't know how to fix electric bike s. But urban shark in st Louis mo does thanks again urban shark I'm going to be bringing in my Liv bike soon want a great bike place go to urban shark you can not go wrong. Tell them Karen ohara sent you you will be happy
Jesse-Linn Masters: Extremely helpful and knowledge staff and fair pricing. Helped me get what I needed and gave me a ton of valuable information as well!
Alexx: It'd a cute little shop and the people who work there are so nice I bought a bike at a garage sale after years of not having one and they taught me all the basic and fixed it up for me! I also got this cute little bike bag.
Robert Stokes: They have all the top of the line bicycles
Don Bertelsmann Jr: Less busy than its big brother and the guys there are awesome.
Dakota Raynes: The staff are always friendly, very knowledgeable, and want to help every rider find the gear that's best for them whether they're just starting out or century riders. They also have a wide variety in terms of stock and their upcharge is minimal. Free service for life on new bikes and reasonable service charges on used ones. This is my favorite bike shop in STL for the reasons listed above and because I went in looking for a specific type of bike, but they didn't have it. A few weeks later a guy brought in the type of bike I wanted and Urban Shark called me to come down and look at it. Then they sold it to me for less than half its retail value (so they sold it to me for the same amount of credit they gave the guy who traded it in). No other bike shop has done either of those things for me in 25 years of riding.
P L M: Quick flat fix!
Carol Butcher: Great place and great staff. Very knowledgeable. Very helpful. Work is done right and
Rihab Sawah: This bike shops offers the best service I've seen in any bike shop. Alan is very knowledgeable, not just with bikes but also with fitting me into the bike I purchased. It's been smooth riding my new bike. Also, the shop offers good support on purchases in terms of servicing your bike down the road. I highly recommend them!
