Tonyt Smith: When I want to have a plate BBQ that taste like it was from a BBQ at a backyard party this is the place 🙌 down. I love the pork steak and spaghetti there is awesome
Janice Bandy: Best BBQ in St Louis.
SHERRI OJO: This place came highly recommended. We ordered a slab of ribs with baked beans and potato salad. The ribs were okay, but I've had better. The baked beans tasted like pork and beans with a hint of bbq sauce. The potato salad was like mashed potatoes with mustard and a hint of sugar. The sweet potato pie tasted like a baked potato inside of a pie shell with no flavor. I have yet to find a good BBQ restaurant in St Louis. I guess I'll just stick to what's best Kansas City Missouri BBQ. Some of the local restaurants have been featured on cooking shows, and one is ranked number five in the nation.

The receipt said $37.00 but my card was ran for $44.00 after I left.2nd...I also asked twice do they cook pork an beef together they responded "NO" but my turkey leg smelled like pork an my peach cobbler was brown an smelted funny as well. Never again 😒 will I buy from this place. I will also tell everyone about my 1st experience here.

William Smith: Great atmosphere, but ribs so so ! Me and my daughter are on our annual 2 week vacation across the country to eat food good and bad. Had high hopes here but they were shot down with a lukewarm rack of ribs that were just so so. The free pickles were good. Hard to find good ribs. We rate everything we eat from 1 to 10 with 8-10 reserved for the best dishes. We gave the ribs a 6.25/10. Not worth the hype, just average and expensive. Xxx Bill and Em know food
Jamie Brison: So much food and SOOOOOOOO good!!!There are no words to say how good this food is.If you are anywhere near St. Louis, you MUST eat here. Nom nom!!Parking: It's hard to find parking, but it is ABSOLUTELY worth it!

Diane A: Yes the barbecue was good, but BBQ is usually good - even if dry you can always add sauce. Unfortunately for us the experience was disappointing. The sign outside said they were sold out of ribs and salmon. We’d never been here before and had to wait until it was almost our turn to order to see the menu (meat menu was hidden in the corner, not on the overhead chalkboards). Then they were also out of mac and cheese. We ordered a beer - yep, out of that too. Last but mot least, I got a skimpy portion of the brisket (someone behind me got twice as much so it’s not always skimpy).
Nicholas Pavelka: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sandwich, Brisket Cheese, Hush PuppiesMore
Brandon Norris: I will start by saying they were out of ribs by the time we got there. But I hope that is their staple, because the rest of the food was very average. The only thing that was really great was the pecan pie. Brisket was dry. At least there is no shortage of sauces at the table. Overall I was unimpressed. I’ve had better bbq only 10 minutes from here. And I would make that 10 minute drive for it.
Phil Rowe: Little BBQ joint in downtown, brisket is amazing, very cool Southern BBQ feel. Great stop in downtownFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Smoked Brisket and Pulled Pork Plate, BBQ Sauces …More
Ruben D.: Excellent place for having BBQ meat that you can dress with BBQ sauces of their own brand. I would recommend the brisket and the turkey. A must in St.Louis, I always go when visiting.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Cashea S.: Wow! We have tried BBQ everywhere and this may just be the best of the best. The place sells out so don't be surprised if you go and they are closed. I've never gone to a BBQ joint where I had food leftover. Usually you get just enough or even maybe leave hungry depending on the place. Nooooo not here! Everything is SO good. The brisket and ribs are phenomenal. The ribs are fall off the bone-ish. They still require your teeth, but they rip right off. The flavor profiles are amazing for everything too. The pulled pork is moist and juicy. The ribs and brisket speak for themselves. The barbecue sauce selection is freaking amazing. All except the coffee one. Gag! The sides are great! Mustard potato salad, a different take on baked beans, and delicious au gratin potatoes. The rest of the sides look good too! The drink selection was nice as they had all your sodas and iced teas, as well as pina colada and hibiscus flavored waters. The only downfall was the bathrooms. They were in need of major attention. The customer service was good. I don't know if they were tired, but as first time visitors we were clearly lost on how to order and nobody said anything. Outside of that, I would 100% come back to this one or another location when in the area.

Corey Durham: My favorite BBQ place in St. Louis!!! Excellent food and sides. You order and walk through a line cafeteria style but the food is amazing. You need to get there early if you are wanting ribs as they are epic and sell out quickly.Parking: Parking is difficult as it is in downtown St. Louis, there are a few parking garages within a quarter mile walk and there are parking meters in the streets.

Pappy's Smokehouse: what do users think?
Mark Hafkey: Food ok but poor beer selection and service. When we suggested adding more than 2 canned beer types to the menu, we were given a sarcastic "we're not a bar" response. There was a long standing wait (45 mins) to get a table in a tight hall without seating. You are charged in advance (including the tip) but you serve yourself cheap fountain drinks, and nobody comes to the table after dropping off food, which is served with plastic silverware and trays. If you want to enjoy a good beer, glass of wine or other drink with your meal, this is certainly not the place. Its basically a fast food restaurant. We won't be back, but we got a clear impression that since there were a lot of customers that they really didnt care. Kind of a shame.

Stacey Gaydos: Let me first say, we travel A LOT and we eat at restaurants often ... This is by far the best BBQ we have ever had!!! Some places are ranked "top" this or that and don't necessarily live up to the hype ... This place DOES!!! My husband got the ribs and burnt ends and they were amazing!!! I got the pulled chicken and brisket ... Delicious!!! Our kids got ribs and chowed down!! We made sure to order extra so we had leftovers and we are so glad we did!! Don't walk, RUN to this place!! If we had to rank them we would say the ribs are #1, brisket #2, burnt ends come in on a close #3 and pulled chicken at #4, but really they were all amazing!!! The service was fast and friendly as well!! Unfortunately, we were just traveling through (we live in Ohio and were coming through on a road trip) otherwise we would definitely be eating here often!!!

The Smith Show: Decent BBQ. The ribs were seasoned well so they had a nice flavor but we're so dry. I like when I just want a dab of sauce to give it a kick.. these had to be smothered in sauce unfortunately.Brisket was more like a deli meat..Sweat potato fries and the coleslaw were probably the premiere dishes! They were really tasty.
Brandon Norris: Everything about this place is awesome. The workers were super nice and helpful from the get go. The food may seem a little pricey but it’s definitely worth it. Matt Malley: This BBQ was amazing!I gave 4 stars for service and atmosphere just cause they aren't a major restaurant or something - but they were super friendly and nice. I mean... No one is walking around filling your drink or something, and the atmosphere is just a room with chairs and bad acoustics. But if you're going for the food: 'chef's kiss', so tasty. I got the burnt ends sandwich, my gf got the pulled pork, and it was all good. We both got baked beans and deviled egg potato salad as sides, and they were also excellent. They had 4 kinds of BBQ sauce on the table, but I got stuck on the one called Megan Ann or something - it was so good.Highly recommend!

brian myers: 4 stars-In an upscale residential neighborhood (Soulard) that is home to the oldest farmer’s market west of the Mississippi. Homey interior with about a dozen tables. Interestingly, you order at a table just inside the front door and then find a space to wait for your order. Doing a brisk take-out business during our visit. Sandwiches and platters available here with the usual meats along with the not as usual options of turkey, tri-tip, and pastrami. The famous bruleed ribs-basted with an apricot sauce and caramelized with a blow torch!-are available in half and full slabs or combined with a second meat plate. Meats also available by the pound. Two meat platter to share was our choice here today and wanting to eat a little lighter we picked the pastrami and turkey. With deviled egg potato salad and a sweet and sour coleslaw as the sides. Neither meat had a strong smoke flavor but were both delicious. The pastrami had the perfect amount of peppery rub. One of the best we’ve had. Turkey breast was nicely moist and would make a perfect sandwich. Sauces were an interesting assortment, none of which we found outstanding. The Sweet Meagan Ann sauce was pretty good-quite sweet but too heavy on the molasses we thought. All the sides here appear to be made in-house. The potato salad was delicious with mustard and dill the predominant flavors. The slaw was heavy on the vinegar and very wet. Not really to our liking. An overall enjoyable meal at a place I would recommend if needing a BBQ fix in St Louis.
Matthew Sinclair: So during my visit to St. Louis I went to the Arch and asked different people who were locals where they'd recommend I eat. Some suggested seafood, burgers, and of course ribs. I asked where the best ribs in town were and the first couple seemed too "chainy" and I wanted something local and unique. At the fudge store inside the Arch--yes, you heard that right--a young lady and I were talking about food and her and family being from Louisiana (where my parents are from) I knew I could trust her palate. So she recommended this place and showed me some pictures and set myself to go. She said it's not as well known but is known to locals, so again, another plus.Parking with the ParkLouie app was easy and inexpensive right across the street. She suggested the ribs of course, but also to have turkey as well. Got the half rack, fire and ice pickles, apple sauce, and a 1/4 lb of turkey. The pickles were definitely packing the heat and balanced by the sweetness. The applesauce was chunky and fresh, none of the processed stuff you get in stores. But the main event, those ribs...as you can see from the clean bone, I was a fan. Tender, well seasoned, flavorful, just awesome, no additional sauce needed. And then that hot turkey...I won't swear here but I uttered a few words a few times under my breath, it was that good. This is coming from a Texas Meat eater, it all was amazing.

The Rideshare Foodie: Visiting town and enjoyed their ribs at their Hampton location and decided to make a visits here but when trying to place my order (busy street and parking) no one answers the phone! Online was unavailable to order and I walked and was told they were out of ribs and that they had something called trash ribs. I asked were they the same price as the regular which were 14 bucks and was told yes by the manager but then was rung up by the cashier who said it was 27 bucks. I asked was each location different prices and was told that they just updated their priced yesterday so maybe the Hamptons location hasn't updated yet. I don't knso what's going on at this location but something needs to be done. A wasted trip here smh

C&K Barbecue Restaurant: what do users think?
Larry Graves: I've made several purchases but my points stay at 51 points. Make that point system as good as the food. Then I'll be happy!Vegetarian options: I needs me more vegetables. Like cabbage, mustard and spinach, and a little okra.

LuvMsLisa: This is a St. Louis staple restaurant… I remember eating here my whole life since I was old enough to know names of restaurants. From Newstead to Jennings Station Road. I always get the rib tip/snout combo with extra sauce and extra potato salad with wheat bread. They have grown in so many ways, you can now self order your order on their new in store kiosk “credit card only” have a seat and your order comes out in 5-7 minutes depending upon your order. Great job
IBMISTAEB 32: I went back to this place because my aunt goes every time she comes home. So I go and get what she order's when's she come. And baby I'll tell you. This ish is trash!!!. First off I got a combo that was incomplete. My sides and sauce was not in my bag. It was not a full meal for 15 dollars. Pieces of meat not big at all. Way to much sauce on the meat. The sides are a 2 oz cup. Not what it says. Stol keeping place open. And there letting kids run the place. And what happen to the actual grills....
Stephanie Strickland: I grew up on c&k, and it is not as good as it used to be. The owner passed away in 2020 and I went for the first time since then. How you give someone a cold beef link, I don’t know. And 1 of my two orders was wrong. Tried to call back when I realized this and no one answered the phone.Food: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More

J. Johnson: The barbecue itself was fine, though I've definitely had better. I went to them because they're open on Sunday. They give you a nice amount of meat and plenty of bread. My issue with them is the ridiculously small sides. A whole slab of ribs comes with one side that couldn't possibly amount to more than 1/3 cup. I ordered a side of green beans that came with a chunk of potato that took up more space in the tiny container than the green beans did. I would rate the barbecue 3.5 stars and the sides 1 star.

Stephanie W: The best bbq in St Louis maybe? I don’t know, but what I do know is the beef ribs and bbq pulled pork sandwich were delicious!! And that sauce… oh my goodness! Everyone was friendly and service was super quick!
Debbie Kelly: This isnt BBQ. There are no grills in sight. I ordered no sauce. It was smothered in sauce because its boiled meat in sauce. Not a grill mark on the rib tips or wings. Stl dont recommend this to anyone. Worst BBQ in earth.

Smoking Barrels BBQ: what do users think?
Joseph Murphy: This place is pretty great. The atmosphere inside is awesome with clever themed decorations. The service was courteous and fast. The food was pretty good. Not exceptional, but I don't have many complaints. I ordered the turkey, which was mostly moist. I wasn't a huge fan of their sauces, but the Midwest Sweet was my preference. The sweet corn was excellent. My companion had the spicy chicken nachos. They don't have much of a kick but they were still flavorful and good. A solid restaurant choice. We WILL be going back sometime!Parking: The parking is a little difficult, but we managed.

ginger S: Open on a Holiday, they were busy with lots of to-go orders and dine in customer's. Service was accurate, quick and good quality. Staff was friendly, and helpful.Kid-friendliness: My kids loved the sweet bbq sauce.Parking: If busy the parking lot is small, plenty of street parking though.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to dine inside, outside patio available too.
Christina Levins: Read reviews that this was a great unexpected BBQ find. Had the 3 meat combo with Ribs, brisket and rib tips with fried okra and potato casserole. Potato casserole was excellent. All the meats were extremely dry and the rib tips were all cartilage. Portions were also small for the price. Staff was nice and turnover was quick.Recommended dishes Potato Casserole …More
j s: Good place good service. I had the 3 meat combo, brisket ( better brisket then alot of other places) ribs( nice tug of the bone good smoke ring not a ton of flavor) chicken breast and wing( juicy not a alot of flavor though)Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Debi Shaw: This was my first time ordering from them. After waiting for over two hours to have the food delivered, the beef and chicken were so dry I couldn't even eat either and my dog wouldn't. The ribs barely had any meat on them and they were also overcooked. What little meat there was did have a good flavor though. The baked beans and apple tart were the best part of the dinner. I cannot recommend this restaurant, as I will never order from them again. Buyer beware, if you decided to try them.
Ry S: Pros: Sausage, turkey, ribs, and pork stake were amazing!.Sides were small and okay at best. Bread was good! Service was good.Cons: The servers kids were running around and blaring videos on a phone at the table next to us.
stray brey (Куревска): WOW! I ordered the brisket sandwich and the apple tart with the Mac and cheese. Genuinely some of the best food I've had in Missouri. The brisket was so tender and the Texas sauce was slightly sweet with a nice kick. The apple tart had a perfect crisp and was slap full of filling. The Mac and cheese was peppery and creamy soo good. I will be coming again awesome food
Michael Conner: A great spot for lunch in the neighborhood.Recommended dishes Beef Brisket Sandwich, Midwest Sweet …More
Bethel Church: I absolutely LOVE this place. I like that they let you choose and apply how much or how little BBQ sauce you want on your food. And a variety of sauces to choose from.I've had just about everything.. pork steaks, brisket, nachos, soooooo much more! I've been more than satisfied with all I've eaten there. It's a great place to take your clients!! Warm and friendly people at Smoking Barrels! It's my kinda place!!
Diana Bennett: Great service ❤️Great food
Aralya Erby: I ordered the 3 meat combo and it was the first time I experienced a bbq plate w/ ZERO flavor. I tried to add my own seasoning on top and more bbq sauce to make it more appetizing but it still didn’t work. There is no taste to any of the food.
Missy Cates: They’ve been here for 11 years with many loyal customers. And just gained a new one!!
Dana champion: I was wanting some BBQ and goggle what restaurant was closest. Smoking barrel came up so I tried it. Umm I probably willing not come back. I order the rib 6 bone dinner with baked potato and salad. Ribs were just ok no flavor I had to add salt just to eat it, baked potatoe and salad was ok. Season you meat and smoke it , it's a BBQ spot PEOPLE!!!!! Also no utensils or napkins to eat with.

Amanda Mcdaniel: Amazing experience! Not one complaint and the food was amazing, we ordered extra to take home and the prices, taste we’re on point! and I don’t drink everyone’s tea but it was delicious! Definitely found our go to bbq spot! Can’t believe they aren’t packed 24x7. Service and cleanliness was to high standard and our server was great! Thank you for NOT being just another disappointment!
marquita Beck: I'm going to say for a BBQ spot. I like it the meat was tender and the sace was different but good. I ordered 3 meat combo chicken bland no seasoning on it rib tips 🔥🔥🔥 sausage was good. Sides baked beans good fried corn was okay. I will order again but no chicken.
Ryan Moyes: Pricing was great, service was ok at best and meat was dried out like it was left unwrapped in warmer. Last night was my 4th visit and only time disappointed. Would still go back but hopeful for better outcome. I know I should have communicated this with server but decided to eat and just go.Recommended dishes Baby Back Ribs, Garlic Bread, Ribs, Mac & Cheese …More

The flavor was spot-on, the bread was crust crunchy, the mustard sauce set everything off.The dry rub wings were good, but smoky. If you're a fan of Lagavulin or Laphroaig you will love these wings. The waitress was fun and very attentive, drinks were almost never empty before she was asking if we wanted another.I'll definitely be back next time I am in St. Louis.
Sam Beckwith: Stopped in for lunch right at open on Sunday after killing time at the zoo after our flight got in at 9am and can’t get to the hotel until 3. TOTALLY WORTH THE WALK. Food is fantastic. We searched out barbecue upon landing in MO and couldn’t have found a more perfect spot.
