Sabrina Mayers: Amount of food was good for the price point but the quality was not to par. Had the shrimp and grits, it was a bit cold and the grits was not tasty at all or cheesy. The accompanying sauce was tasty but was a very small amount not even covering the grits. The grits themselves were clumpy. The French toast was beautifully presented, flavor was there but downside they were very oily. My table enjoyed the omelet. The hibiscus drink was delicious, that was the star of the whole meal. Would I recommend? Probably not.

Brian Baker: Honestly one of the worst meals I've ever had in St. Louis, and that's not even considering the exorbitant price. The food looks gorgeous, but is somewhere between unmemorable and straight up bad. E.g. the pasta was flavorless and overcooked mush.The service was pretty mediocre. Our server was friendly, but inattentive, making significant mistakes when entering my order and a nearby table's order. My order was eventually fixed, but there's nothing to fix the food itself. The neighboring table left in annoyance without finishing their meals.Cocktails were somewhat above average, but having only 1 bartender for the place made the drinks incredibly slow flowing.Perhaps the entire restaurant was having an off night... During Saturday dinner service.Overall, I strongly regret celebrating my birthday here. I don't even want to think about how much money we wasted. I have no intention of ever returning, which is a shame bc their Sunday brunch looks really great.The ambiance is quite nice though, so at least there's that.

Kalu Ma: Was pleasantly surprised at how lovely this restaurant is. It was my first time and I made sure to make reservations for later this week. Reservations are required.The staff was very professional ,welcoming, and accommodating. The atmosphere was elegant and contemporary. Anthony was our server and he was ultra professional. Any issue we had he took care of immediately to make it right. The food was delicious. We went for brunch on Sunday. My associate has a little sticker shock as it was $55 per person. But it included 4 items, thick bacon, steak, french toast and potatoes which were delicious and filling by themselves. And it also included 1 of 8 entrees such as lobster omelet, Crab cakes, shrimp and grits, and several more. I got the lobster omelet. It was worth it as all was delicious. Drinks were 14 and my friend got a mango mojito I believe. The regular menu is for Wed to Saturday from 4 o'clock. I included a pic of that menu .Update; went for dinner and most was good. Had the fried snapper, Seafood pasta, duck Rangoon, and bourbon shrimp.The appetizers were absolutely delicious but a little skimpy considering the price. 3 Rangoon for 16. 5 shrimp for the same. The shrimp was mostly garnish to give the appearance of more.The fried snapper was huge and offered a fabulous presentation. Unfortunately the fish really didn't taste like much. No flavor and quite bland without the dips and sauces. Would have been better if they used the same seasoning as in the shrimp.The seafood pasta also had great presentation and tasted good. Could have used more garlic less lemon but good nonetheless.The restaurant was cold and they had no hot drinks to warm it up. Hopefully they will add it.Overall it's a good restaurant and definitely a place for special occasions.

From the hostess to the server to the various staff that interacted with us at the table (bringing food, clearing plates, etc.), all were top notch. The consistent excellence in attitude and execution really stood out. Can't say enough.The food was very good (sea bass, squid ink pasta and a burger at the table) as well with nice portion sizes, well prepared and presented. We had one small glitch at the end of the night. They appeared to have one person mixing drinks for the entire place, so a couple of drinks at the end of the night took too long to arrive, but it was easily forgiven for the rest of the experience.The space is very well designed. Upscale feeling without being over the top or pretentious. It was fairly loud once the place started to fill up, but where is it not these days? (Inside voices, people!!)Vegetarian options: They have 3-4 entrees marked on the menue that they can adjust to accommodate.Parking: Street parking, so plan for it and download the ParkMobile app for the meters on the same side of the street as the restaurant.

Our server Candace was absolutely excellent. She was kind, knowledgeable, not pushy, and even did a few special things for us because she paid attention to the details of what we talked about (all even when they were very busy!) We tried 3 different small plates... (be sure to ask if things are fried, bc not always indicated upfront) but decadently delicious either way. The cocktails were great and the bartender was super friendly and engaged. Entrees were exactly as described and so delicious... large enough to split, but not obnoxious (except for the whole red snapper which is supposed to be monstrous ;))Loved everything about BAIT and will absolutely be back soon!

The sauce that is served with them should be bottled! For our entrees, I had the squid ink pasta and my partner had the lobster roll. We were both more than satisfied with our choices. KTH: We visited on Saturday for lunch (Memorial Day weekend). It opens at 11:30 a.m. service was excellent. I ordered the raw oysters and shrimp cocktail. My husband had the chicken. The oysters were very well presented and had the nice little touches of discerning places like the lemon pouch and the small spoons for the mignonette. The lobster bisque was maybe our least favorite, a different spin on bisque than we are used to, good nevertheless, if not a tad bland. My cioppino was delicious so were the linguine & clams. Overall awesome experience.

Vanessa Sutton: I ordered the Admirals Feast and a house salad because Red Lobster usually have good salads and my sister ordered the shrimp trio. The food was pretty bland and tasteless for what they charged us, I was expecting much better. I had high hopes of really enjoying my lunch, but the service was great. The lady serving us was very cordial and accommodating. That was about the best thing that happened that day.

Courtney Williams: Manager is so rude. Very racist and it’s sad. Sad that I stay and spend my money at this establishment, because we was celebrating getting our RN. It started off as happy day but she made it a terrible experience for us. Her name was Alexis. Customers service and being polite went out the window with her.

That’s probably why the servers don’t come back to tables at all and why they’re hiring. The servers clearly don’t care about their jobs, and that’s the manager’s and GM’a job.
