18 Broadway Urban Garden: what do users think?
Jeremy B: Great place for the support of Harvesters.
Cj McDaniel McRealty: This is a wonderful part of our community.Thank you !!! To all the volunteers.
Deborah Rolfe: I absolutely love this garden. Its great for laying in the grass & watching the sky/stars at night. Every now and then there happens to be ripe fruit😉
Whitmore Reads: Nice view over the city. No plant life at the time of my visit.
Alexander Vallar: A cute urban garden in the middle of Downtown Kansas City. The garden is managed by the surrounding community and businesses. It has a diverse selection of fruits and vegetables. A great place to relax, have a picnic, and enjoy the beautiful skyline.
Dayle Crane: Perfect spot for a picnic with great city views!
JOHN JONES: Nice relaxing place in the middle of downtown.. near crossroads
John Paul Garcia: I love this it's so awesomenss!
Caitlin Marte: Beautiful. Love community gardens. My child loves all the flowers, and you get an awesome view of the skyline at night.
Dennis and Libby Lee: Amazing to have this right in the middle of the urban core and give local office workers an opportunity to help feed the unfortunate people of our city.
Joe Rangle: Nice place to sit and chill for a moment.
Erin Myers: Nice
T R: A public pantry garden worked by members of the community, including folks on their lunch breaks from nearby workplaces. Food grown and harvested from this garden are donated to a local food pantry to help other community members. It's beautiful as well as practical. A wonderful use and placement of free space in downtown KC. A great place to have a picnic lunch and learn about where our food comes from.
Lele Stars: Omg I love this place so much. It is not much to see if you are looking for splendor but I come here to get away from the hassles of work and life and have lunch and find peace. Sometimes it has fruits and vegetables growing. And it is a place of greenery within urban sprawl so what is not to love about a time to reflect without staring at concrete
Rick with Soil Samurai Gardens: Beautiful place in the city
Matthew McGaugh: I love this park. It's a beautiful addition to the neighborhood and perfect for the city.
Amber Ray: Really good view of the city and nice garden
tim petet: Beautiful Park great location
Jim Drummond: I walked around the garden in early November to see what was still growing. Peaceful.
Ross Cameron: Urban garden - food is free. A space to relax, that also grows food for the local community (and homeless).Larger than I'd expected, and great tomatoes (according to my 6-year-old).
Monica Hernandez: Nice place to relax.

Trissi Hardin: Love this place! Got seeds, starter pants, potatoes, sweet potatoes and fertilizer to start my garden. The staffs knowledge is immeasurable.
Shammaa Hasan: Friendly people
Kelly Riely: Kansas City Community Gardens is a welcoming place with friendly & helpful employees & volunteers. I have been buying all of my vegetable plants from here every season for many years. They have a good selection of vegetable plants and they have a few large events where they sell lots, usually near the beginning of each growing season. You must buy a membership and renew each year that you want to buy plants. They have a tiered system for how much people pay depending on how much money your family makes. There is a seasonal and yearly limit to the amount of plants and seeds each person can buy/have.
Lenora Wuattoux: Let's Get Back To Basics 😋GOOD FOOD IS A BLESSINGHealthy food , good food, starts with the perfect seed. The best is to plant that seed yourself.Growing your own fruits and vegetables is great for adults and children....and children tend to eat more fresh food when they participate in the planting.KANSAS CITY COMMUNITY GARDEN CENTERcan help educate you and give you the confidence to grow your own. They have classes for adults and children. The education the center shares are fun and very informative .Seeds and plants are so affordable. So come take a short tour, bring the children. You will truly enjoy yourself.Handicap friendly ❤.

Magnolia Venue & Urban Garden: what do users think?
Jena Workman: It was a beautiful venue and the staff worked very hard to make sure everyone was happy and had a great time! I didn't take many pictures though! Sorry!
Carley Swan: I had my wedding reception at Magnolia in early November, and couldn't have asked for a better, more beautiful space. The exposed brick and light fixtures naturally elevate the space and make it one of a kind. We also went with their planning service "Whitebird Events". Deb and Ava were amazing to work with and helped me execute my vision perfectly. When I saw the venue for the first time after arriving from the ceremony I was in awe of how perfect it looked. They were very reasonable and easy to work with. It was so nice to trust who I was working with to take care of the small details (and do a great job) so I didn't have to stress over them. Not to mention their vendor recommendations were 10/10. We also went through Deb and "Whitebird Floral" for our floral. She created modern pieces that perfectly complimented the rest of the "vibe". She was also super understanding and easy to work with when I changed my mind on a few pieces the week of the wedding! I fall more and more in love with the floral every time I look back at photos. I highly recommend.
KC Photo booth Co: We love being apart of weddings at Magnolia Venue! Such a beautiful venue, and awesome team. Can't wait to get back there and do more weddings. We also appreciate all the parking they have for us vendors who have to unload and load.Highly suggest Magnolia!
Kelley McGuire: Speaking as someone who has a lot of experience with planning and running large non-profit events, I'd like to share our positive experience with the Magnolia Venue. Deborah and her team were straightforward, responsive, and professional. I wasn't able to be as involved with the event as I normally am, plus it was being planned long distance. So, having this group of event planners was wonderful. It was helpful to have their advice and strong negotiating skills with vendors. The creative aspect was also positive.
Denise Seley: We had the best experience at Magnolia for our event. The entire process was smooth and the Magnolia team was easy to work with, kind and thorough. This is a beautiful venue and Deb has amazing taste and great ideas. Our event was gorgeous and everyone complimented us. We did not have to worry about anything!
Toni Scheihing: Such great people to work with, great experience, wonderful venue.
Christian Vincent: My niece, Baylee had her wedding and reception at Magnolia and I cannot say enough great things about this place and their staff. The planner did an amazing job checking in on us, answering questions, …
Heather Szumierz: Very nice venue !!
Gerardo Cornejo: Incredible venue! Parking across the street was easy!
Vicki Boyd: They have a great staff to come out tell people where to park so they don't get tickets beautiful 😉
Taylor Hickey: Awesome venue for a wedding.
A. Hodson: Pros:*Beautiful venue, string lights, bar, exposed brick, ceremony space*Great location between downtown KC and river marketCons: SEVERAL listed below*PARKING- On the wedding day, there were only about 15 spots available at the venue for guests.*SET UP-The florist tried to get an early start on the day and arrived at the venue at 10AM instead of the prearranged time of 12PM. However, the doors of the venue were locked, and the florist could not get inside. When the bride texted Deb, the venue’s owner and wedding coordinator, to ask if the florist could be let in early to drop off flowers, Deb told the bride that the florist needed to be there at noon and refused to let her in. As a paid coordinator, Deb should not have forced the bride to communicate with the florist and, despite the bride's request to simply unlock the doors so the florist could at least drop off the flowers, Deb did not let the florist in until noon.If this would have been extra work for the coordinator, the refusal may have been understandable. However, the wedding contract stated that the coordinator will log "approximately 18 hours the day of the wedding". Instead, our best estimate put her hours at a maximum of 12 hours. She was nowhere to be found while the wedding party was getting ready and did not begin assisting until 12PM. Then, she started to tear down during the reception and cut the reception short, which ended at 10:00PM instead of 11:00PM.*TEAR DOWN-The contractual end time of the reception was 10:30PM, but the venue employees began removing the rented eucalyptus runners off the tables around 9pm. At 10:05PM, the lights were turned on, and guests were told to leave. While guests were trying to leave, Deb got on a ladder and began ripping down the floral arrangement hanging above the head table (which the bride and groom paid $375).*LAST CALL-The last call for the bar was made at 9:50PM (20 minutes BEFORE it was the time agreed upon in the coordination meeting with Deb). Guests were asked to leave almost 30 minutes before the rental time ended (lights on by 10:05PM and guests were immediately and rudely told to leave, original end time was at 10:30PM). In addition to the early last call, this time corresponded with a severe thunderstorm. Guests were hurried out the door into a torrential downpour of rain, along with family and friends who were removing all (non-rented) decorations, leftover bar items, & personal belongings.*SONG CHOICES – When the wedding DJ tried to play a handful of typical wedding songs with well-known dances, the venue had him immediately turn them off to "protect the wood floors from being damaged by guest’s shoes". Several times, when guests were in the middle of the dance, the song would change abruptly. This was very odd and killed the party each time it happened.*ADDITIONAL EXPENSES – Additional expenses included ice from their ice machine, eucalyptus runners, glassware, head table chairs, getting ready space upstairs, etc.Overall, both sides of the family felt like they were a burden on the venue. It was clear that the venue cared more about preparing for the next day's wedding than they cared about ours. The wedding party, along with family and friends, were treated like a burden even though the bride and groom had paid $1300 for the venue’s coordinator, $6600 for the venue rental, $700 for decorations, and $800 for getting ready space upstairs. When this was their one and only wedding day, it is so disappointing that part of the memory for the bride, groom, and guest will be the owner's attitude and shortened reception.****By the way, bride and groom are not allowed to review the venue, that alone should cause great concern to any future bride and groom considering booking a wedding at Magnolia Venue Kansas City.
Rachel Fryberger: The inside is just amazingly beautiful, it was absolutely perfect. Lovely dark moody classy brick with rich dark wood beams and black metallic accents. It's very classy. The outdoor area was beautiful as well, but it's not a great place for a wedding ceremony because the traffic noise kind of drowns out the voices. I couldn't hear most of the ceremony.
Giovanni Rigters: I was invited to a quinceanera that was hosted at the Magnolia venue and I had a really good experience. The venue is well maintained, looks great and the two people working at the open bar where very nice as well.
James Shultz: Disappointing in nearly every way. I helped with a friends event and the people at Magnolia routinely under-performed what the said they would do and reasonable expectations. The worst part about it is that Magnolia writes it into their contract that the person having the event there is not allowed to write a negative review. I was not the person that signed the contract so I can tell it like it was. The fact they won't let customers write a negative review should tell you something.
Max James: I'll preface by saying that I am a wedding DJ working here in KC, and I'll offer the disclaimer that I work with the Magnolia team quite frequently. (In other words, I'm admitting that I'm totally biased in what I'm about to say.)Genuinely - these are some of my favorite people in this industry, and they do such an excellent job operating this venue. If you're considering hosting your wedding in Kansas City, I highly recommend touring the venue. Within minutes of meeting Deb, M'Khila, or any other member of their team, you'll see what I'm talking about. Their passion for their work will shine through your event, for both you and your guests to enjoy.
1st Class AutoGlass & Repair: Location is perfect. The staff was beyond friendly and courtesy. If you are in need of a weeding venue or a great gathering.
Aaron Sprague: Beautiful and elegant venue! The outdoor ceremony area is very nice as well!
Pamela Jackson: Nice Place
Mike Elder: Great venue and awesome staff! One of the best in the region
Natalie Bereuter: Great place for wedding reception

Rosehill Gardens: what do users think?
Jimmy Rodriguez: Critical:QualityVery rude bosses and owners. Not trust Worthy at all.
Tammie Dickerson: Lovely garden center and event space!
Therese Tatem-Potter: Always an enjoyable experience at rosehills..friendly staff always
Don Downing: The employees are very helpful.
Aaron Smith: Was there for a wedding. Cool place, nice people, made accommodation for rain with multiple umbrellas and tents. Unfortunate that it rained, but the venue was nice.
Rich Shockey: This is an absolutely stunning place. Jeff has been such a pleasure to work with and makes this our first go to venue for an outdoor event.
Chris Reyes: Went to Somerset wine bar in the area between the offices and the barns for live music and wine. Great time.
Randy Gieselman: Would not recommend this business to friends/family/others.I called Rosehill Gardens for help with repairs on a sprinkler head and a leaking valve back in August of 2020. The technician's service was great and very fast (the only reason for more than one star)! However, I did not receive a bill to pay for the service.I visited in person about 2 weeks later and was told to expect it in the mail. It's September of 2022 and I'm only now receiving a paper statement in the mail where I've been charged late fees/interest for the past 2 years without ever having been contacted via mail or phone until now. I would think if a business was interested in being paid what was owed, they'd reach out in the event of a missed payment (within days, not years).Service:Landscaping maintenance
Michael Martin: Hired to install an irrigation system and a lawn renovation in the fall of 2022. Had several issues with the irrigation install and they did come out to fix those. Credit to them for that. The lawn renovation was overpriced for the work that was done, in my opinion. The reason for my 3/5 review is mostly due to their communication. They are not great with this aspect of their work. I’ve left several unreturned voicemails and they all were time sensitive for work being done. Never received a call back. The only way to get a response is to call continually or vocalize a complaint. After both jobs the people doing the work left without a word said to me. No after care or instruction on next steps. No inspection of work. No approval from me as the customer. Nothing. This is not on the responsibility of the laborers themselves but rather the department and project managers. The work is mid-level but they did fix prior errors. I will not be hiring this company again. Their price point is much higher than the small shops. That would be justified if the quality of their work or the standard of their service was much higher. Regrettably neither aspect is true.Lastly, I would not be as unsatisfied if the jobs I hired for were much small or less expensive but I paid $7,500 in one summer with Rosehill. That is no small investment for a residential property. I don’t expect preferential treatment but I do expect more than received based on what I paid.
D Thomas: Great place to get plants. Prices are usually half of that at suburban down the street. Everything I've gotton here has a high survival rate and does well. Folks who run the place are friendly and nice to talk too. I highly recomend this place.
Laird McNeiley: Beware if you have a sprinkler system and are using Rosehill for your landscaping. We are pleased with the landscape plan and for the most part all of the work performed. The disappointment comes from all of the damage caused by Rosehill to the existing sprinkler system. It has cost us several hundred dollars to put the system back together after the work was done. It almost seems like that is part of the plan, dig up the current system , accept no responsibility and then charge you for any repairs even when it is very clear that the damage was a result of negligence.Service:Yard landscaping
Motty Franks: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueRose Hill was extremely helpful today and very polite! Hard working As well! We had an irrigation issue and they sent guys right out to fix our issue!! We will definitely use them in the future! The owner Curtis is great to talk with. Al Shores the supervisor is super nice and knowledgeable!!Service:Lawn care
Elijah Davidson: Great place to work for very diverse love working out in freeman and Miami county out in the country and see the pretty trees the people are great and Jake on field production makes work fun unlike my past job with toxic work environment I love what I do and I plan to stay for a long time
Evan Hicks: Critical:ProfessionalismAbsolutely no reason for your f150 driver to be pushing other motorists off the roadway driving 85 in a 70 zone
Preston Reeves: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueI have worked in the green industry for over 15 years, and can say from personal experience that Rosehill Gardens is the most impressive landscaping company that I have ever seen. Roots a century deep.
swixon: We recently held an engagement party at their patio event space at their Martin City location. First, the venue is absolutely wonderful. It was full of greenery and mums (it was held in Oct) and didn't need any decorations because of the natural beauty. The space had a water feature (small waterfall/pond) and plenty of seating/tables. Furthermore, they offered interior space for the bar set-up and food. The guests were so impressed and continuously commented on the venue. Although this was an "open house" type of event for the engaged couple, 95% of the people stayed the entire time due to the venue and simply enjoying the space.Jeff Menefee, the Event Coordinator, was simply amazing. He was patient and kind during the planning process. A heckava nice fella. Before we arrived that day, he had prepared the space with table placement, setting up bar area, providing tables/tablecloth set up for the food and making sure the space was ready for our guests. Throughout the party, he came around to ensure the patio umbrellas were adjusted for the sun as it shifted and checked-in to make sure things were going well. He was the absolute best! As a matter of fact, a couple of the guests commented on how impressed they were with him and to comment that he was so nice.Jeff's kindness, flexibility and patience coupled with the outstanding event space made this such a success. I know a couple of people at the party are already discussing holding their future events there. That speaks volumes. If you are planning a party or a special occasion, I would highly recommend doing it at RoseHill Gardens. You will not be disappointed!
Daisy Lopez: Me encanta
Gigi Mateo: Luv this place. Cindy and staff are nice and accomodating. I had an event here with about 30 people and we had a great time. Their sangria slushes was good as well as the food truck and music!
Lori T: We have worked with Rosehill Gardens for multiple projects and this year we hired them for our biggest project yet. Our landscaper Steve listened to our ideas and then made them better through his great design. We're in the execution stage now and he is highly responsive as he project manages the large project across multiple teams (hardscape and landscape). Several of our neighbors have told us how much they love the work we're doing. Prior to working with Rosehill we had a challenging, sloped yard. Now it is being transformed. We anticipate many years of great memories once this project is complete. A bonus is that no tree or plant we've ever bought from Rosehill for more than 15 years ever needed to be replaced.
Karen Clark Ristine: The event venue is stellar and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. I got a mature bonsai and thriving aloe vera. Next event we plan, Rosehill will be at the top of the list. Jeff was great!
Lisa Brewer: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWOW!!! Our front yard and back yard is gorgeous, thanks to John Mclenon and his crew!!! John listened to what we wanted and did exactly what we asked. He and his crew were timely, professional, and fun to work with. If you are looking for landscaping design and install.....Rosehill Gardens is THE company you want.
